Moody Cow in East Lindsey

Well wasn't what we expected, but was pleasantly surprised we had breakfast here and it was fantastic, we will come here again when in Ingoldmells next time, we also had two lovely evening meal which was steaks cooked the way you want it. I booked in here for my son’s christening… where I was told it would be a private function in which they offered when I said around 30-40 people, we accepted… great! Organised to pop down the evening before to get set up and move tables etc and get majority done so less stress on the day of, to turn up to karaoke being on which is fine no problem can’t help that but none of the staff were even aware of the situation. I shrugged it off and hoped that my friends, family and I would be able to complete everything in time in the morning. Got told the boss and staff would be in from around 7am to get things set up, for my family and friend to turn up and only the tables had been moved? Nothing was set up and it delayed time that we didn’t have. I was then stressed massively. Half of the things we talked about on the buffet were not included… was asked not to use brown or 50/50 bread due to allergies and it was still used and mixed in with others. Some food was undercooked and some overcooked. On all the guests arrival we noticed customers coming in and buying drinks to then be told there isn’t enough of our guests to cancel out the customers coming in and that she would continue to serve them… which is not what I was paying for. Made a comment regarding the kids play area using her electric when it was already spoken about. Staff behind the bar huffed when someone came to the bar to be served because they were sat having a break… overall it was awful. Staff are rude, boss lady is rude… and that is why I refused to pay the remaining money due to not getting anything I asked for and the bits that did do right were at a very low standard. Do not recommend in the slightest.

Stayed in a caravan park behind the Moody Cow and it became our local for the week. Good pint of Moody Cow lager £2.90. Tuesday was steak night 2 for £20 which was lovely & pie night on Thursday the homemade Steak and ale was first class. Staff are very friendly and run a good pub. Claire Georgie Nicole & Declan made us welcome and made us laugh. If your in the area well worth visiting.

Absolutely disgusting how homophobic the place is doesn’t deserve any star the Dj shouting over the mic is there any ‘gays’ in here for the regulars to shout No and then he comes back with a homophobic comment!! First and last time we will go in there but also the Dj did not like it when he was confronted about it!! Shouldn’t matter if you gay, bi straight black or white place needs shutting down and believe me this will not be left here

Bad service & rip-off parking charge which varies depending on what they think they can get away with.Think we were served by the moody cow itself.Would not recommend ...try elsewhere

A tramps pant would be cleaner than this place. The owner was rude and unfriendly, no hello, please or thank you. Beer was warm and flat and the wine tasted of washing up liquid, the smell of the place is fousty, the carpets were awful, no lights on so it was dark and dingy. Everything so dated. Glad I never ate because the food looked awful. I refuse to ever waste any of my money in there again.

Turned up and first impressions wasn't good. Carpet was filthy and black, dark inside with no lights on (took us to seats and didn't even turn lights on inside) and had a weird smell. Seating really uncomfortable, all wooden. Only us in restaurant side. Wouldn't visit again in future.

The carpet is run down and filthy, the drinks quality isn't the best, one of the pool cues had a tip missing and table was very poor quality. I feel like I'm in the 50s.

We showed up late and they kept the kitchen open just for us..the food was really nice and the staff are even better couldn’t be any happier great food great staff will definitely be coming back again

We went in in here for our dinners Fish and chips x 2 curry x1 and a full rack of ribs chips salad . No problems with any of the food and the ribs were to die for was stuffed after them top job, will defiantly be going again.

Yesterday evening we had the most amazing meal out for my daughters 16th birthday. Moody Cow staff were fantastic! They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience ever. They accommodated 16 members of our family, which is not an easy feat. They were attentive and ensured we had a wonderful meal. The food was outstanding. We were all blown away by the quality. We had high hopes but the food was better than we could have imagined. 5/5 for all round experience. We'll be going again soon. I would recommend the sizzler meals. Thanks to the staff, you made the evening really special.

We went as 3 adults and 1 child, I paid for the 2 meats Sunday dinner, I got a small slice of beef and a minute piece of pork with mash potatoes roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding veg and gravy I had to send it back as it was cold then when returned it wasn’t much warmer, the others had the 1 meat Sunday dinner also came cold and the beef was all fat I would never eat here again to be honest we were never asked if the meals were ok, when we left a member of staff came to collect the plates never questioned or asked if everything was ok even tho my friend left all the fatty beef she just said thanks and walked off x won’t be eating here again

Went many times during my recent holiday. Very friendly staff, a nice pint at a very reasonable price and very dog friendly. Found the food very acceptable. Don't understand all the negativity, what were they expecting, a Michilin star!

Called in here with my wife, daughter and three grandkids. We all really enjoyed it. The drinks are reasonably priced and service quick and three staff are pleasant. It has a pool table and a few slot machines for kids. The first night we were there, it was bring your own microphone ( due to covid) karaoke. The lady DJ played a good section of music from stuff is old people like, to stuff that had my seven year old granddaughter up dancing. My wife and I also called one tea time for a meal. We were the only diners in, and the restaurant side looks a little worse for wear. We both had a stake sizzler with chips, that comes with mushroom, tomatoe, and side salad. And it was very nice. Probably the best meal we had during our week in ingoldmels. Don't go if your expect sophistication and refinment, but do go if you expect good fun and enjoyment.

we went to the Moody Cow for a birthday meal. they fitted us in at very short notice and couldn't do enough for us. when we arrived they had put up a birthday banner next to the table and had put a happy birthday table cloth on as well. the food was reasonably priced and very nice. would definitely recommend. thank you.

Food was amazing!!! It came out sizzling on the plate and the portion sizes were brilliant for their price. Drinks were fairly priced and sevove was brilliant. Will definitely be returning here when we are next in the area!

went for meal at moody cowwent for a meal while on holiday omg what a disaster i had steak chips my partner ordered hunters chicken and garlic breadfood arrived after 40mins after orderingwe asked for condiments they brought sachets of sauces already usedwent to start eating food my steak meal had 6 chips on it with 2 mushrooms. meal was all cold not even just part of it even down to the beansthe hunters chicken came chicken was burnt and dry it had 8 chips on it baked beans coldgarlic bread was burnt didnt taste of garlic and was hardwe both had coke as it was what we wanted that was flat no fizzwent to leave had been blocked in carpark by lots of carswent in to ask of could be moveda drunk guy came out to move it and even said wasnt his car but moved itmoney wasted as ended up then at pizza shop complained about food but they didnt seem bothered at all

we arrived at the moody cow on xmas eve very nice room clean on exmas day e had our dinner wow never had a dinner taste so good and ive had some dinners then we left boxing day but i must say the new owners are very helpfull and friendly and so are all the staff i would recoment the pub to anyone ( dave leicester )

We stayed here for two nights in our motor homes in the car park. 10 pound a night our first night in the pub was an auction great fun ! We loved bidding for the things and had such a laugh. The second evening was a halloween party with music, karaoke and a lovely complimentary buffet. The DJ played fabulous music and the atmosphere was fabulous. Everyone had so much fun. The landlady and staff were really nice and friendly. We had two meals here a cottage pie which was delicious and a roast dinner which was equally delicious and very hot which is a must for us. Thankyou to all the staff and tammy, you all worked so hard to make sure everyone had fun. We will be back for sure.

We visited for drinks only and sat outside on the decking area. It was a lovely warm day but they were not many people about.

The people I was with wanted to come here for karoke. I disliked the place on whole... it wasn't a place I would choose to go to in a million years. Came here for some drinks on a Sunday night with my partner's family members and I was aching to leave and normally I love going out for the evening... I felt it was such a dive. Not really my scene. The people were friendly and it eas famiky friendly which was a plus, but didn't feel confortable when going to the toilet (very unclean) and the place obviously has a drug problem because there's signs in the toilets saying basically don't do drugs. The place felt it needs a revamp or a good deep clean at least.

Now only serve food 12 - 3 pm what a waste of time. Will be a big hit to the trade. Unless you fancy a beer dont bother

NIce little pub, handy for the market to. Used it a couple of times now and parked motorhome for the day. They also do evening stop overs which is handy to know. Sadly we picked the wrong days to visit so didn't get to try the steaks out but will time it better next time

One of if not the worst dining exp ever , waiting an eternity for sub standard gloop , carvery with no mash , no mash how is that even possible , and for the bargain price of £8.50 for a large , left unsatisfied with a sour taste that I had paid for food that should have been sent for disposal , staff unfriendly all round and seemed shocked that I verbally complained to them , save yourself and stay away

I was under the impression this was a sizzling pub so was looking forward to steak, ribs and the like but would appear it isn’t a sizzling pub as no ribs were on the menu in fact very little at all from sizzling was, I’ll start with the gripes not a lot on the menu and if it isn’t sunday you can’t get a meal with vegetables. I ordered the new yorker burger it came with cheesy coleslaw and big onion rings it was nice without been spectacular are lass had lasagne which she said was beautiful kids had fish finger and chips now and one had sausages and chips the fish fingers were biggest I’ve ever see and everyone ate all there meals so it must of been nice as it’s rare are kids finish a full meal without a fight, would i go again probably not but don’t be put off it is worth a visit the food is nice just could do with a bit more choice in my opinion

We have just finished our dinner here. The children's meals were big portions which they loved. The carvery was the best I have ever eaten, fresh and full of flavour. In short I would definitely recommend anyone to come here to eat.

Went to the Moody Cow with my Grandparents brother & children. So my grandparents decided that it would be a lovely idea to take the grandchildren & great grandchildren out as a treat. Well where do we start, friendly staff But the food OMG was awful! Our dog even turned his nose up to it & he never does that! Me & my nan ordered steak & ale pie at £7.95 each so the pastry was no way near cooked as white as death! The chips was still hard & frozen in the middle. The gravy was foul & was poured all over the chips, which mad the small ones soggy. The peas was cheap tinned ones!! My grandfather ordered a steak asked for medium rare & in return got medium - well! The onion rings What a joke!! Was like half an onion chopped with batter on, well they was not cooked at all!! Onion was still cold & batter only just done still raw! The same with his chips (which were cheap frozen chips). The children had pizza & chips Oh my goodness microwave pizza (which was not cooked, one was still frozen & the other 2 was cold in the middle!!!) there chips was still frozen & hard both my 2 year olds & 11 year old brother didn't even touch their food (ended up just eating our pea's!!) my coke or Pepsi was definitely watered down! We did promise the children an ice cream if they ate all their dinner but didn't want to waste anymore money in there so went elsewhere!! We would have complained to staff but with all this to complain about it wouldn't have ended well! Let's just put it this way, it was a laughing stock how in the world they have a 5 star rating is beyond me! The food standards was poor! The council must give out stars willy Nilly because that to me was 2 standard!! When we got back ended up scoffing our faces with anything that we had in!! Disgusting!'

Ordered jd steak medium rare came out burnt cold and tasted nothing like jd steak or even steak

weve visited here a few times but thought it was about time i gave a review for this establishment the staff are very polite and helpful we called in for food on our way back home as we had been on inglemells market the food we ordered was very nice cooked just how we liked it just the right amount to eat so no wastage there is always a great atmosphere in this pub and will continue to visit every time we go to the market

We stayed here for the weekend when we went to stock car racing,

First time at Moody Cow, my grandson and myself had the Hawaiian chicken burger, my husband and son in law had the Texas burger and my daughter had the vegetarian burger, all 5 meals were way above what we expected, great tasting burgers, big plates of food, very good quick service. I will be going back again and would recommend the food.

Went there today but also went there a few weeks ago for the first time, lovely pub, cheep bear, nice friendly staff, nice seating area outside, you know your in Ingoldmels when your sat outside!!! Great atmosphere..

Not a place for families. Can't access the car park because of stall holders. Bar staff nice but not at all for families. Food is typical gastro pub style and would not visit again

We visited this place Sunday just gone two adults and to children age 12 n 13 I we had 3 carverys and chicken nuggets and chips , the carvary was a choice of 3 meats that was already sliced up and none looked freshly cooked I had gammon and turkey you only get two roast potatoes my partner only had one then it's stuffing cabbage carrots peas York and stuffing , the gammon was like rubber and nearly impossible to cut and the turkey tasted stale one of the kids had beef and hated it the other had chicken nuggets fried in batter and he couldn't eat any of it we are not fussy eaters but none of us finished our meals as it was very off putting , this place was good a few yrs back but has gone right down hill we ate in the room where you are aloud pets and there was a few flys hovering round our heads

Every time we go Ingoldmells we always used to have lunch here . but this last visit was a disappointment . I had bbq chicken sizzler, the chicken was not breast meat and 2 slices of bacon was plopped on top of it all . It should have been on top of chicken with melted cheese on top of that . .onion ring was very greasy an the coleslaw was made with cheese an warm . The jacket potato however was lovely an soft . my Daughters meal was also very greasy . an my 2yr old grandson burnt his mouth on the fish fingers even tho we let them cool down . it's very dark inside an we were the youngest people in there . going to give it a miss from now on . bar staff were nice an friendly.

Well we do we start, was so busy, but we got a table so quickly, whent to order food and the lady was very very nice, nothing was a problem, to top it, was only around 7-10 minutes for our food to arrive and there was six meals. Hey the food was absolutely lovely, presentation and taste was so so nice, so all the the staff deserve a big pat on their backs, I certainly enjoyed everything thank you

Nipped in for a meal on the way past, the carvery looked fab but I chose beer battered fish and chips for £7.95. The plate was massive and the fish was nice but very greasy, I had to take off the batter as I didn't like the taste of it. The pub was quite dark and run down but the lady behind the car was friendly.... Unfortunately though I probably wouldn't return.

Me and my partner have been going to this place for a while whilst on holiday for drinks, one night we decided to try their food. You won't be disappointed! Abit on the dear side but you definitely get what you pay for. Quality of food was amazing, the portion sizes are huge, my steak was cooked to perfection. Staff are abit pig ignorant but the food definitely makes up for it. Will definitely be visiting again not just for a drink.

It was a pretty quiet night but as the evening progressed with an increased intake of alcohol I was manipulated to participating in the karaoke session. The DJ was brilliant she was thoroughly entertaining and made all feel welcome especially for those karaoke virgins. The bar staff, well I loved the dance routines a great team effort

Popped in on our 1st night of our holiday and didnt enjoy the pub at all, kids running riot, the staff were miserable, so after 1 pint we left

Looking for somewhere to eat and about to give up when we came across the moody cow. When entering it comes across as an average pub. However when our food arrived the portion size were exceptional and well worth the money we paid. Furthermore the food was good.

We arrived 5 minutes before they finished serving Sunday carvery they said no problem we will not clear away. The grand son wanted Yorkshire puddings but not the Sunday roast which wasn't a problem the cooked some chicken nuggets. Now bearing in mind it was at the end of serving time everything was lovely the roast pots were maybe a little dry bit everything else was lovely 3 choices of meat with basic peas carrots and cabbage smothered with a very delicious gravy. The staff were very welcoming and chatty nothing to much trouble. The surroundings were clean and comfortable.

Food looked nice but offer says 6.50 or 2 for 13 no offer if my maths are correct. Quiet pub set back off main road located in village. Small car boot in car park. Close to market

Food here is spot on really nice and good size portions. Steak cooked to perfection. To look inside just looks like a cafe so didn't expect much but don't judge by that as food is fab. Only they wouldn't let us order deserts as it had gone 9pm which I think was wrong.

I live local and have tried this pub 3 times, the only reason I don't go in this pub regular is because of the staff, we got no greeting no welcome and no smile. it isn't rocket science being friendly to customers, a smil go's a long way and would make us want to return. it's a shame as it's so close to were I live and when friends visit for holidays we can walk there without having to take the car. might give it another try in a few months to see if things have changed.

Stayed in a caravan nearby over half term, came again as we had done the previous year. Good quality fresh food, had meals 2 evenings here over our stay. Gammon and Steaks both nights very good portions. Dog friendly pub.

best pub round down to eath pub and staff very welcome if kids dont make a mess hahha . the local people are fine and welcome too . hope see you all next year in easter time

Staying in a caravan nearby, called in to get out the rain on our first day and enjoyed the place so much we visited every day! A welcoming pub with proper local characters, great staff, free Wi-Fi and a top notch nosh menu! I Day visitors park all day for a quid wether you're using the pub or not!..Lots of charity donations, auctions and entertainment. Can't wait for next year!

very nice fresh food staff were friendly and there was a good selection you didnt have long to wait not much of a queue

went to this pub a couple of times and everyone was really friendly, played card bingo which was fun, they also had a sale of goods on and I ended up buying a 5 armed brass light fitting, a childs ready bed and a book reader at bargain prices. Had burger and chips which the menu said came with mixed leaves, salad and coleslaw. it was iceberg, cucumber and one slice of tomato but no coleslaw and had to put lots of mayo on as burger and bun were very dry.

Stopped here before a couple of years back and found it very much a local pub for local people.. and felt very clicky & unfiriendly. HOWEVER, we stopped here on my stag weekend this year and It was one of the best night we had in Ingoldmells. The staff made us feel very welcome, the entertainment and atmosphere was spot on and we all had an amazing time and the young girl singing on the karaoke had an icredible voice (she was selling an album of her singing to raise money for charity).. We enjoyed it in here that much we came back the next night too.

Popped in for a nice sit down meal, excellent service and the cod was so tasty. My partner had scampi and was of the same opinion as myself

Parking on site, good food ,small games area for kids, good service, one place we are comftable in when in Skegness.

We called in here yesterday dinnertime and was more than happy with the whole experience. Staff all very friendly food was good value for money with portion sizes more than enough for big appetites (my son said it should be called the greedy cow when he saw the suze of the burgers). Myself, family & friends went in The Moody Cow for the first time to have a meal and celebrate my birthday.It was the best night we have ever had in Ingoldmells. The food was gorgeous, Georgie & all the staff made us feel very welcome, the entertainment and atmosphere was spot on and we all had an amazing time. Had a sizzler yesterday and it was gorgeous cooked to perfection. The staff are amazing lovely ppl lovely company and great atmosphere in the evening. Can't wait to return

The food at the moody cow is great the staff are friendly and helpful it's a nice place to be dogs are welcome some pubs don't allow dogs in.

Probably the most disgusting place I've ever eaten. The food was cold, rubbery and massively over cooked. I wouldn't even recommend my worst enemy to eat here. The staff were scruffy and no hygiene from the serving/kitchen staff. Drinks were horrible, coke to much syrup lemonade flat, glasses with lipstick marks on. Decor needs an update. The smell leaves a lot to be desired too. Overall nightmare experience.

Sadly we used to go in the here for meals and the kids play in the corner on the games and was always packed but as time as gone on it has become expensive for food and less and less people go in. Every time we been in we have to ask for kids machines to be switched on every thing in darkness,plus most 2p machines didn't work or broken, not a very welcoming place. Odd few people in when we have gone in and it see just odd locals and that it. This pub could bring loads in if they think a bit and put some effort into improving the environment in the pub. This is not on one set time i have been in in beginning middle and end of seasons and all is just the same. just a bit more think it getting the public in.

Been in several times and I've enjoyed it every time whether it's just for a drink or the excellent food. The staff are fantastic too. Has the potential to be one of the best in Ingoldmells just needs to offer something more for the customers in terms of enjoyment, regardless I'll be back soon! :)

A great opportunity for a lovely pub to be a fantastic pub, the food is rank at best, the staff are oblivious to manners, cleanliness or English unless grunting is the new talking ? The patio area would be lovely too If it wasn't awash with roll up and cigarette butts and loud foul language, but the prices are so cheap I assume that attracts it ? I'm sure they all think it's great and to be fair who am I to judge, it is what it is. Not a family pub unless your children are use to loud and rude language. That is not to say it's all bad as it's very busy, very cheap and has a lot to offer, just not to anyone with young children, a decent palate or aversion to chavs

Really lovely place. Ample car parking spaces even though there is a small charge if your not using the pub. Dog friendly. Really good atmosphere. Bingo auctions fun days bbqs most of the holidays. Disabled friendly too. Nice outdoor seating too. Good food and a great selection of drinks

Food beautiful excellent beer pumps kept clean friendly staff toilets clean pub clean what more cud u ask! Always had a friendly warm welcome and made to feel at home not many places in Skegness u get that it's a lovely family friendly pub wud highly recommend x

well not very good atmosphere boring staff not very helpfull and grubby need a cleaner or some bleach lol would not go again beer ok but as for the rest stay away

We went here as a family of 6. Walking in the pub we noticed the tables needed clearing even though not many people in here eating. Ordering the food the staff seemed friendly enough (family run) the food it's self wasn't bad. We had a mixture of meals from steak to gammon to burger and lasagna. The carpets were filthy food everywhere. Ground in muck. Wouldn't return and most sure we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are far nicer places to eat.

Excellent food, massive portions, good menu choice, friendly atmosphere, clean, toilets clean and tidy, plenty of extra activities such as auctions, karaoke, amusements.

went to the moody cow on the 6th july despite not brilliant reviews but was pleasantly surprised the staff were very friendly and when the food arrived the plates were full to overflowing,there was 5 in our party and we all ordered different things and everyone was happy with their food.I can only summise some of the negative comments were from professional moaners

We visited here on our first night of our holiday and all I can say is this is a locals pub. You felt like you fitted in when you walked in and you was welcome. The food is very nice and you get plenty on your plate. The only thing that found wrong was that the coke have very little flavour and was very watery. Apart from that it's a very nice place and worth going there for food.

We went to go in here for a drink but there were people outside and the language was blue, we ignored it and carried on in to be greeted with more obscene language. At this we about turned and came out.
