What a shame Not overly impressed last night 2 4 1 cocktails have to be the same. Why What if we don’t lie the same cocktails Burgers were nothing special. Bit dull looking and half sized from the time before Rustic chips not hot only warm. Sweet potato fries tasteless. Chips used to be served n little baskets which was really nice. Now served in bowls All in all disappointing. We won’t be back. Sad but true What had happened to this little gem ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

Even after two previous visits with the most appalling service we tried one final time as the food is good. But, unfortunately after not even being greeted when arriving (there was only one poor person front of house who was no where to be seen on arrival), over an hour and a half wait for food, no apology when the food finally arrived (even though they knew we had asked twice how long the food would be), we left and will never return. The management need to stop understaffing this place, give their staff some proper training in customer service and actually if they’re not going to be working, allow those they trust to run the restaurant in their absence some authority. Sadly, we will never return.

Second time eating here. First time with work was great. Seemed reasonable on food was good. This time however with family was terrible. Nachos were cold and rushed. Food was too salty and meat was questionable... We ended up being ill after. As for the cost... It was extortionate. Almost 4 pounds for a coke and 8 quid for a glass of house wine. Don't be tricked with the 2 for 1 on Tuesday burgers they more than get their money back on the other parts of the meal. Won't recommend and won't return.

I celebrated my birthday here had some amazing food & great cocktails! The best burgers! I love this place, it's one of my favorite places to eat in Bournemouth, when I visit family. I wish they had a restaurant in London where I live. I'd be a regular. The staff are friendly, friendly fun atmosphere inside the restaurant. I would 100% recommend to a friend.

To be honest I’ve driven past here thousands of times & never considered it as somewhere to go to eat. It was suggested by a family member that we go, I was a bit unsure at first, but once inside what a very pleasant surprise. Inside is big & very homely with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Quite eclectic with the style & decor. We hadn’t booked, but 6 of us were quickly seated & looked after by a lovely waitress. Majority of table had burgers (all said they were great) a couple of us that were not that hungry settled for some side dishes. Fabulous fries & especially the sweet potato fries Fairly good value & would very happily revisit/recommend.

Joke of a place booked a table in the morning for 7 people all confirmed for 5.30. At 5.30 was told no tables , I said I spoke to someone in the morning who confirmed this , they said it was a delivery driver I spoke too and shouldn’t of picked up the phone , so 3 very disappointed children and angry wife

We absolutely love it here. One of the best places in Bournemouth and falls into the 'hidden gem' term very well as it's off the beaten track a bit. Staff here are all amazing and very friendly and engaging. It's a great place for a drink, lunch or dinner. It has the reputation for best burgers in town which I think is very accurate. Some amazing burger options available. Lively and lots of fun this is well worth a visit. The service is very good and it's not over priced here. Ideal for couples or large groups, it has a great range of beers, wines and cocktails. Lucky for me its also walking distance to my house!

I booked, and a couple walked in seconds before and got seated. I had to wait about 10 minutes until until another table became free. My friend has mobility issues, so had to stand waiting. There only seemed to be one waiter who I must admit tried his hardest. When the food arrived we were given the wrong burgers.and the food was warm. Its quite pricey for what you get. I don't think I will be returning.

The food was brillaint, the nachos were amazing as were the burgers but it's great to find a place with nachos as good as this. Well stocked bar and nice interior, a great little restaurant. Como pueden imaginar, hacen varios tipos, mi anoche el preferido fue el cerdo desmenuzado con una empanada extra y papitas fritas. Mi compañero tenía la hamburguesa de macarrones con queso mientras miraba con asombro a esta bestia pegajosa que presentaban frente a él. Terminé teniendo un gas de comida. Literalmente no puedo decirte la conversación que tuvimos en nuestra mesa ya que estaba demasiado concentrada en comer mi hamburguesa. En general, comida excelente, excelente servicio y una gran noche a cargo de (supongo) todo. Una vez más, terminé concentrándome demasiado en la comida en lugar de mis amigos para ver si la estaban pasando bien.

We stumbled across this place after finding many other places fully booked; but we were so glad we did! A change of name to the restaurant slightly confused us, however from the moment we walked in, the vibe was so chill and the servers so helpful. The menu offered plenty of vegan/vegetarian options (5 different burgers) and we were not let down, we chose the nachos to start followed by the Mac n cheese veg burger and mr falafel burger with rustic chips. The nachos were mahoooosive and the burgers delicious. Would 100% recommend!

As a vegetarian, veggie burgers can be a bit dull sometimes but with a choice of 3 different veggie burgers I was very impressed. I had the couscous and halloumi burger, along with some very good onion rings, fries, and battered pickles. Fantastic food, washed down with ale - what's not to like. And if you're a meat eater the menu offers some more really great options.

Been going to the Pokesdown Monty's on and off since it opened some years back and have had some great times. The last two times, though, have ordered cocktails and they take *ages* to arrive. The most recent time, it was over 35 minutes from ordering them to them arriving - that's ridiculous. Actually had no idea that it was a "2 for 1" cocktails offer at that time, until we sat down after ordering, so I was then a bit miffed that we'd been charged the full price for 2 drinks, as "2 for 1" to me means "buy one get one free" (i.e. they would charge you for one drink only and give you two). No, apparently it means "wait over 35 minutes and then get *2 of each* of the cocktails you ordered, at the same time". This is also ridiculous. Not only had the 35 mins + wait meant we were now close to the time we had to leave to make it to a booking elsewhere, so we didn't really have time to drink the cocktails (unless we chugalugged them really quickly), who the hell wants 2 drinks (cocktails with ice in them, that had all melted), for each person, arriving at the same time? Bizarre, inefficient system for making the drinks. The woman who served us seemed annoyed when we looked askance at the overly long wait and then the weird "here's 2 each of what you ordered" brusque service. I suppose some people might think "2 drinks at once: I'd have 'em!", but that's not really the point. And does the "2 for 1" deal, when applied to food, mean that when a couple of people order a burger each, they get 2 burgers each? I think almost certainly not, but it apparently does apply to the drinks. . . . Odd all round

We are here on holiday from Manchester I booked a table for me and my family bonus as it was a 2-1 night which we didn’t know about we order our meals and a few treats extra as we beleave it was 2-1 on all burgers cheepest one free the food here is worth the wait the starters we had we’re 100% we had nachos cheese sticks and mac cheese bites which were amazing there was a wait in between our meal but we played games which were provided by Montys the burgers came out and the order was wrong which was quickly amended it was a genuine human error but we were then told the burger my husband ordered wasn’t on the 2-1 this was only after all our meals had come out which was a bit dishearting also my burger was a little pink inside. But as all the our meals were perfect it wasn’t worth complaining.

I have always been a loyal patron of Monty's since it first opened and have always highly recommended it's burgers to friends as they have always been amazing.

Fui con unos amigos a Monty's Lounge para mi cumpleaños, como era una ocasión especial decidí pedir 2 por 1 cócteles. "Dos Margaritas" "Lo siento" volvió la respuesta no tienen uno de los principales ingredientes para hacer. No hace falta decir que me decepcionó. La comida era buena, pero me pareció que el personal era escaso.

Large group of us met up on a Wednesday evening. Great venue and atmosphere. We sat in the bar area and had drinks before sitting to eat. The burgers are undeniably amazing. Service was very good. The only let down was the surly waitress.

Personalmente creo que la salsa de chili habanero, si te encanta el chili es uno de los mejores que he probado fuera de México. Merece una visita y no diferentes ofertas burger/cóctel de toda la semana, así que el tiempo de su visita con la oferta que es mejor para usted.

It's because of these burgers I can't turn veggie. Go religiously every week and love the relaxed vibe and having banter with the ladies that work there. If you want a burger this is THE place to eat. Well done burger bros!

The burgers here are amazing, been here loads of times just for the burgers. The service is a bit lacking though, went in at 5pm once with my partner and got a funny look from the bar staff because they were having a large function at 7pm, almost thought they would turn us away, but they did manage to fit us in since there were about 3 people in the restaurant at the time though. Other than that like it a lot here, nice atmosphere inside and the burgers must be had!

I booked a table for 19.30 for my Sister and I as I had heard the food here was good.Kerry greeted us with a smile and showed us to our table.I ordered a pint of Estrella , Skinny Fries and an Italian Stallion Burger.The Estrella was lovely and cold and the Burger was so delicious I could of eaten 2 of them. The fries were delicious too and so were my sisters Sweet Potato fries and Full Monty Burger. The quality of the food was Superb and with a Bill under £30.00 in total for 2 Adults I was very pleased. Thanks to Kerry for Excellent Service and I will recommend this restaurant to my friends and I will most definitely be back soon.

Last evening we went to Montys for a cocktail making session with Gino. There were 4 of us, we had a fabulous time ,it was informative,great fun,very tasty of course and lasted 1 and a half hours. The bar staff Kerry and Emily were very helpful and lovely all evening. Thank you Carol for arranging it all for us , and to end the evening we all had a delicious burger and skinny chips, they went down a treat.
