Best local pub in Ramsgate! Matt is an excellent publican. Always a very warm atmosphere with lots of chat and the.off chance for a sing song on the piano.

What CAMRA would call a back street boozer - in a good way. Good selection of well kept beer.

Traditional pub serving good selection of real ales. No music, just conversation. No food, just crisps, nuts etc.

Gem of a pub. Small friendly and great beer... even a lurking pub cat... what's not to love. Will be back.

Friendly proper pub, not a tarted up restaraunt where the pub is secondary. Nice place to go.

This is a proper "local". A genuine friendly feel. Everyone ends up chatting to each other. It's relaxed, spacious and airy. Toilets are lovely and clean and the bar stocks an ample range of beverages including stock from the local brewery. Regular quiz night, occasional film night and constant community spirit! No pub food. You'll have to cope with peanuts!

Quite a small pub where the owner is friendly and chatty. Clean and bright and keeps traditional pub hours. Love it

Gadds Brewery Tap in the town centre. A traditional boozer with nice mix of customers. The beers from Gadds guarantee that you will depart with a smile.

I have always has a soft spot for "The Monte". It is an unpretentious local pub, which sells excellent beer (Gadds'), and attracts nice people in the bar. Mandy, the manageress, is very pleasant, and makes you feel welcome - even if you have never met her before. Many local pubs should follow the Montes' example - excellent beer, a warm welcome, and a pleasant atmosphere. If you have not visited it, I would advise that you do so We need pubs like this!

Proper old school boozer with a great selection of local brewery Gadds on draft. There's plenty of room as it's deceptively big, with a pool table outback. Steeped in the local community but anyone is made to feel welcome.

This is a basic pub doing pub things with decent beer. Their main brew is Gadds a great Ramsgate beer. Local beer, brewed with passion = a good thing. Do they sell Doom Bar? No they bleeeeding don't. Of course they don't. Proper pub. Good murmur of conversation throughout, some music I noticed but not in the way. The absolute darling had a Gin and Tonic...ice and slice.. they used Bombay Sapphire... Points from the absolute darling...

Was passing with our dog and puppy. Stopped hoping they served food but they didn't today lunchtime. Monday 23 January. Came in and got a real ale and coke for the Mrs. Got chatting to the regulars. Love this place. Excellent ale and friendly atmosphere. A real pub. As a CAMRA member, this is the place to find.

Lovely local pub, owned by a local brewer. The beer is very affordable with great choice available. There is pool, billiards, and lots of seating. Sundays serve roast potatoes. The beer is Gadd's, guest ales, and a few standards too. I would recommend No 5, Dogbolter, and Uber hop (a guest beer/lager)
