Outstanding service, lovely food, great atmosphere and a surprising level of busy for a rainy Monday in October. Highly recommended

Not only 5 star food and service but also 5 star Hygiene. I have used Monsoori Heights for eat ins takeaways and even deliveries since they opened in Milford and always had a great meal. The food has always been freshly cooked ,well spiced and flavoured. Front of house Ambia and his team are welcoming ,friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful,nothing is too much bother. By having a chef owner Masoori Heights always cook good food. We are so lucky to have this hidden gem in our village so if you want a good Indian meal give it a try ,you won't regret it.

Came in for a meal, oh my god I saw two rats and maybe even a mice , my starters came out, then suddenly I saw them, disgusting!! Demanded see the manager they said he’s not here. Then the staff members wanted me to pay for drinks before I left the premises , is there anything worse than that. Listen I’m just saying what we saw

What happened? Having had Monsoori Heights recommended to us, we had booked a lunch table on-line but when we arrived the restaurant was closed. Is the closure permanent?

Great food and extensive menu and excellent friendly service. Would definitely recommend if you are in Milford on Sea area.

My husband, myself and our three grandchildren plus little dog had a lovely meal. The grandchildren said the food was the best!! Lovely friendly attentive staff who made us all feel very welcome. We will be back.

Having eatem at many Indian style establishents around the world, I can sfaely say this is one of my Top 5 meals ever. Great food, good service and a enjoyable ambience. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back.

We walked in off the street and were welcomed warmly. Very friendly staff and the food was excellent. It was great to try different dishes other than our usual Indian favourites and we appreciated the guidance we were given regarding quantities to order. Although I am not a vegetarian I chose to eat the vegetarian offerings and found them delicious. Great that they offer take away too.

We have been coming to Monsoori Heights for several years, and there is always a friendly welcome. The food is always fresh, tasty and consistent every time. Kabir, the chef is certainly an expert in his cuisine and a master in the use of spices. We and our friends look forward to returning soon.

We visited this restaurant whilst on holiday for my Dads birthday! Whilst the restaurant was quiet mid-week, we had a lovely meal, and the team working made us feel really welcome! The starters, mains, and bread were all lovely. It was great to try their masala chips as something different! I would recommend this as a great place to visit for a sit-down meal!

Very average food. Given the place afew tries but they're is always too much oil and the flavours do not seem good. Interior lacks atmosphere.

When you collect Ambia and the whole team are cheerful and fun even though they have fasted for Ramadan. The main courses are always fresh well cooked and spiced and the heat to your choice.The sides and rice are plentiful and tasty too.The Pint of draught Cobra completes the good experience. Keep doing what you do so well Monsoori Heights.

Food looked ok but the taste of the biryani curry sauce was appalling - like the oil or butter had curdled. The chapati was over microwaved and like cardboard. Usually the food is good at this place but this occasion it was the worse take away we have had - ever. Both of us were also unwell the following day. We only live 10 minutes away and ate the food immediately we got home.

Being from Glasgow, I know a good curry when I find one. And this place serves a really, really good curry. Was down there tonight, picking up a Chicken Shashlick, and it was spot-on. The staff are modern and friendly - authentic and a good laugh - and the relaxed vibe pairs beautifully with the delicious food. A seriously impressive curry house.

Great food, friendly service. We had a lovely evening at this fabulous curry house whilst on a short break away. Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious!

We had Prawn Saag and Lamb Madras with Garlic Bread and Rice. All delicious. We were warned about a 30 minute wait when ordering and it was ready just under that.

First class menu with lots of unusual choices. Really loved the food which arrived good and hot. Lovely people - first class experience.

Hand on heart the food we both had last night, we agree was the best Indian food we have ever had. The flavours , omg. The pathia was the sweetest ever, and the jalfrezi, which I asked for madras hot with extra green chillis was superb. The lemon rice was delicate, the mushroom rice was so so flavoursome, I could eat that on its own. As for the garlic Naan with extra garlic..... it was proper extra garlic and again, the best we’ve ever had, not overpowering yet absolutely smothered in garlic, the onion and tomato dip, the mint dip, and the mango chutney dip for the popadoms were light years ahead in taste of anything that winchesters Indian restaurants have.I can recommend this restaurant knowing full well, like mine, that your first meal will blow your taste buds away. You people of Milford are so so lucky to have monsoori heights! And your Thai restaurant is superb too! Keep up the first class standards monsoori, we look forward to having a proper sit down meal in your restaurant next tim we visit.10 gold stars for our first takeaway!And having read a lot of reviews before trying, I can confirm the people on TA who left 5 star reviews, are all spot on!Brilliant.

My partner cooks great Indian food so we seldom enjoy a takeaway as much but Monsoori Heights is the exception. The menu offers a great choice using of the many vibrant ingredients associated with proper Indian food with original dishes as well as the old favourites. Vegetarians are offered a much wider range than most restaurants and meat eaters seem very happy too! If you don't know what to choose, they are always ready to advise. Consistently friendly service and great food. A real treat.

As my Birthday was on the Sunday decided to have a Saturday Curry treat.The guys at Monsoori Heights really deliver ,literally ,to your door.I wanted something different so chose lamb La Mas , Vegetable Dansak with Tarka Dal , Onion and Spinach Bargee and a Perswari Nan . As always Perfection. Delivered on time . At social distance and wearing a mask . I heard the best news 'We are opening 17th May if all goes well.' They have already have lots of bookings so book now not to loose out.Thanks Monsoori Heights looking forward to coming to see you and that first Pint of Cobra.

We had a delivery fro this restaurant on New Years Eve. It was absolutely lovely. Best Indian takeaway for a long time. Started with chilli Chinese chicken, brilliant take on a Chinese dish. For main I had Goan Prawn curry. What a fantastic choice. A new favourite dish for me now. Absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be having another delivery soon.

Unfortunately only open for takeaway and delivery at the moment, but still the service from Rubel and his crew are on point. The food is as amazing as ever and the chefs do a wonderful job of making even basic dishes taste superb. Despite the current situation, they provide a COVID safe environment without sacrificing friendly and personal service. Can’t wait to be able to enjoy their hospitality again once they can fully reopen. Keep up the great work.

We ordered a couple of starters, two mains, a vegetable dish and delicious Naan more than enough for three of us. All very delicious and some mint sauce and a few extras thrown in. A safe take away order but look forward o visiting being more adventurous with dishes and eating in house when allowed to do so.

I had a huge curry urge so I phoned our local village Indian restaurant Monsoorri Heights. The phone was answered by the always cheerful and helpful Ambia. I want something different than my usual order so choose Chicken tikka biriani which came with vegtable curry which I had madras hot. To complete I had spinach and onion bargee and a perswari nan. They are now doing deliveries whenever possible so I arranged this and opened my bottle of Cobra. The delivery was on time and was even delivered by the boss. How lucky are we in Milford to have on of the best Indian restaurant in our small village. The whole meal was well cooked and expertly spiced .Curry Heaven. Well Done Monsoori Heights.

First restaurant that we have visited since COVID outbreak that does not appear to have made any safety precautions. No hand sanitizer at the entrance or on tables. No tables removed or moved apart. No screening of any sort.Left before eating as did not feel comfortable. A real shame as it was one of our favourite places to eat.

I really enjoyed our takeaway this evening and would recommend. Everything we had was very flavoursome and I would particularly recommend the chicken Tika masala and korma.

Its Great to have Monsoori Heights back. The same great team . The always friendly Ambia,The hands on management and of course the superb Chef.As always the food is fresh,well spiced and piping hot.I tried a different curry this time and had the ginger and chilli chicken (Madras hot). Dansak vegetables .(plenty of fresh vegetables not lots of juice like some restaurants)onion and spinach bargee. Peshwari Nan and pilar and mushroom rice. Light and fresh. Visited this restaurant last week. Staff friendly, food good, ambience excellent. My only criticism is that they didn't take contact details as per CV guidance. Would thoroughly recommend.

Highly recommended this restaurant the food is so good (probably the best Indian food I have ever had), the staff are friendly and was such a nice atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting here again the next time we are down this way

I went to this restaurant with my parents to celebrate my birthday. Having recently turned vegan,  eating out in restaurants can be very difficult especially if you want something more than a burger or risotto. At Monsouri heights the waiters were very accommodating and understood what dishes could be adapted and how. My girlfriend and I shared 3 dishes which were absolutely delicious and so full of flavour! (My parents also loved their food) We had a great evening and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We have visited this restaurant several times and have never had a bad meal, they have always been excellent. Went last night and our food was exceptional. The staff are pleasant and friendly and the restaurant is clean and smart. Would definitely recommend.

We are staying in Barton-on-Sea for a couple of days & booked a table here ... it’s only a 10 min drive & this has to be the best curry we’ve had in a very very long time. The staff are professional, attentive and extremely respectful of the social distancing rules ..all staff wore masks... but still managed to make you feel very welcome. The menu has all the favourites along with some house specials... it was the most tasty curry we’ve had.. not just loads of spice to make it hot.. lots & lots of taste.. the staff were keen to ensure you enjoyed your meal & were proud to explain how the ingredients are freshly sourced & the spices dried in house... I wish we lived closer.. the locals here are very lucky. I would definitely recommend this restaurant 100%... We will definitely come back next time we’re in this area . Thank you monsoori nights.

Was passing through and seen this restaurant and thought... why not. I Like hot curries and opted for a vindaloo and rice to take away.10% off for take away and a couple of free popadoms, friendly staff and really tasty food! Vindaloo was the hottest they did and it was ok on the heat front. Not the hottest I’ve had, but just bearable for me and good portions. Recommended!!

Just arrived today for a few days in Milford on Sea and came across this lovely little gem. Friendly greeting on arrival, social distancing respectEd at all times, staff were all wearing masks. We had not booked ahead but were accommodated immediately and had a table for two of our choice. Comprehensive menu which was reasonably priced. Waiting staff were very attentive during our visit. The food was excellent, the flavours of the Chicken tikka were exceptionally good. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Incredibly slow service - we arrived at 8pm (having booked) and didn't get our food until over an hour later! Staff weren't especially apologetic, and then also overcharged us initially when paying. No social-distancing measures in place (tables are very crammed in!) but staff were in masks. Food was tasty enough, but unfortunately didn't make up for the rest of the experience. Wouldn't recommend!

First meal after lock down and had to be here. With wife and friends from Surrey who also love the great food here and service. Food as always was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back. Now need to wear my Lycra to burn off the calories !

We visited this restaurant on 10th August on our anniversary. Our waiter Abai was his usual charming friendly and attentive self. The meal was freshly cooked, and excellent. What lovely flavours. We will definitely visit again. Thank you for the superb service Abai.

Among restaurants in the area Monsoori Heights is always one of our treats, superb food and really pleasant and cheerful staff. This week,because of CV they stayed open for takeaways and we indulged on Tuesday evening. It was served very quickly and I did not have to wait for more than a few minutes, though I had telephoned the order.The food was, as ever, just excellent...a very mild curry for Jean and a superb dhansak for me...with lemon rice which was really special. It solved our evening mealm problem in a good style. Thank you to all the staff there. Much appreciated.+

We had a very nice meal in Monsoori Heights though as we were the only table (for a long time) it was a bit atmosphereless. Takeaways were busy. Food was tasty and plentiful. Later some tables were taken when we left

Don't understand the TripAdvisor reviews on this place. Food is too rich destroying the flavours, chicken is dry.Wasn't a busy night only 1 other table in the whole placeToilets clean, Staff amazing.Shame the food was poor because friendly staff made us feel very welcome.

We had the chicken caldeen (describes by Lady as aromatic and delicious) and the Lal mass (tramp describes as rich, earthy with a little kick). One of the best Indian takeaways we’ve had, would be nice to sit in the restaurant sometime.

After a short break due to flu... not cv I went back to my favourite Indian. I was welcomed like a long lost friend by Ambia(I hope that's how you spell it) My take away was ready but they kept it hot for me so I could enjoy a cold cobra. The curries here are always excellent ,well spiced and cooked fresh. This is my favourite go to local restaurant. Please give it a try . You won't regret it.

This Indian was nothing but jaw dropping from the starter to dessert, staff was super friendly from the door and extremely knowledgeable in every curry on the menu. I had the garlic chilli chicken curry, the complexity in the curry really blows your brain. The little touch at the end with the rose on valentine's Day really made the day for me and my wife. Couldn't ask for more out of this place.

1 star to match their food hygiene rating. I really don’t understand what people see in this place. So disappointing

I cannot believe this place is rated so highly on tripadvisor. Maybe a new chef perhaps, but all I can say is our experience was definitely not worth the premium prices paid for substandard food. Overly greasy onion bhajis and the lamb dish I had was just bland with no real depth of flavour or spice. Unlikely I'd return!

This place is dreadful! Went on the basis of the good reviews but wow it’s bad! Shoddy decor and super greasy/tasteless food. We politely informed one of the waiting staff that the food wasn’t as described on the menu and he almost threatened to throw us out! Don’t usually do reviews but this one deserves this so no one else expériences what we did! Dine at your peril!

We were staying for the weekend around the corner and stumbled across this place. They accommodated us despite it being a Friday night. The food was absolutely delicious, best Indian we've had in ages. The staff were very friendly and chatty to us and our kids. Highly recommended and we will definitely return when back in Milford on sea.

One of the best Indian restaurants we have found, as agreed by all four of our party. A fine range of meals all prepared fresh with outstanding flavours by a talented kitchen staff. All capped off by an attentive front of house team providing excellent service. Will definitely return.

We’ve lived in Milford for over a year now but this was our first visit to Monsoori Heights, but it certainly won’t be our last. The food was excellent and the service faultless. All at a reasonable price too.

Myself and my family have been coming since we moved down here in Jan 2018 and this is by far the best Indian cuisine we have ever visited. We are regular customers and they never fail to disappoint! Highly recommended :)

Excellent food especially the lamb nihari. Great staff who recommended certain dishes that couldnt be faulted. We were also running an hour late but the restaurant kept our booking available.

Although we have not been for a few weeks because of events, we went to MH again last night and had an eqaully excellent meal as last time. As creatures of habit I had the dhansak and Jean the Makdhani again plus a shared bowl of lemon rice. They were all superb, wonderful flavours and presentation. There is no doubt that this is one of the best Indain restaurants I have ever eaten in and we look forward to the next time very much. The staff are friendly and efficient and the chef is obviously top class. Expect a little wait between courses as the food is all freshly prepared and cooked but well worth any wait.If you have not tried it we reccomend it strongly. Try in the week , it is realtively quiet. At weekends I think the restaurant gets very busy with diners and takeaways. We eat early which is all the better. Terry Langford, Milford on Sea. PS. Ok, so there’s only one curry house in Milford but this is a really good restaurant. The food is excellent, there’s a wide menu and the staff are friendly and helpful.

18 of us pre-booked this establishment. We even ordered our meals a week or two in advance.

We had a family visit during our half term stay in Milford and were not disappointed ! Great varied menu, all very tasty and a friendly service!

Attentive service, fabulous flavours and a pleasant ambience. Side dishes - samosas and aubergine - obviously freshly prepared and with superb textures and spicing. Any regrets? - maybe a bit heavy on sauce and light on lamb in the main course.

Due to a change in personal circumstances, we have for the time being opted for a takeaway if we want an 'indian'. The food as usual is up to their high standard, and the quantity you get could easily be spread over two meals unless you were a horse. It represents excellent value for the what is offered. Although I can eat the full monty, my wife opts for the starters as this is about as much as she can eat. Even so, the content is of a good size and more than adequate for the 'smaller apetite', you still won't leave the table feeling hungry. So far they have not taken up my suggestion.

We visited here on Wednesday evening, totally on spec, & had a lovely meal. The Chicken Tikka Biryani is to be recommended - every mouthful was an explosion of spices...wonderful, the best I've ever had.

Good service, good food, varied menu. Have eaten here and had take away on a number of occasions and not been disappointed.

My title says it all really. Hailing from the West Midlands where every other properry is an Indian Restaurant I'm not used to having to book a table so it was most suprising to walk in at 7.30 on a Sarurday night and to hear a sharp intake of breath when I admitted we hadn't booked. But the very nice man found us a good table and we settled down to quckly served Poppadums and Pickles white we tried to translate the menu into our own Birmingham titled dishes. For example, opne of my favourite dishes consists of a medioum curried chicken in chick peas with an unusual sause and we call it Chom-Chom up here in the Midlands, But my new Southern friend hadn't heard of it friends hadn't heard of it althopugh someone in the kitchen said he had but it needed a special sauce that they didn't have. So I settled for my second best choice which was Garlic Chilli Chicken and it was vewry good. My wife had a Jalfresi and conformed that was certainly up to her usual standards. No hesitation in recommending this place, good food, nive helpful staff and comfortable seating. What more could you want?

So we came here this evening for a birthday meal. We have been to other places local before but havent been very happy.

I have never written a review before, but this place warranted it. We were staying locally and fancied a curry. This place looked good based on the reviews on tripadvisor but how wrong it was! The food tasted okay at the time but both myself and partner have been up all night rushing to the loo. This morning the sickness started. I’ve now realised why, their hygiene rating is only 2/5 (see attached photo). Disgusting! Visit at your own peril.

My wife and I have used this restaurant on a regular basis over quite a long period of time now and the quality of food and service has always been consistent with value for money (locally) certainly amongst the best. Due to personal circunstances we are no longer able to go here for the time being at least, so we have switched to the takeaway side (collection) and I am happy to report that the consistency is still the same. If anything, because the plastic containers are of a reasonable size, the amount of food you get seems to be larger than if you are at the table, but this may be perception rather than fact. What I can say is that to share a dish between the two of us is something that we never had to do in house. Maybe we are not as hungry?

Despite turning up fairly late on a busy Friday in summer, we were given a warm welcome. The hosts are not only friendly but also real enthusiasts when it comes to the menu. When we asked for help choosing a vegetarian meal we were guided to some superb dishes, which had clearly been cooked with care. All tasted fresh and original. The wine was very good value too. We would thoroughly recommend.

My teenage sons and I enjoyed a delicious meal one Wednesday evening in July. The food was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of heat/spice. One of my sons is vegan and he thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the food presented to him. My other son enjoyed the tandoori Chicken and I the Vindaloo - all first class.

As we live near the restaurant we use it quite often. Never had a bad meal and the staff have a brilliant attitude. Such a pleasure in this day and age not to have surly staff. Very confident on what to recommend and never have to wait to be served. A great place to go.

Wether you collect a takeaway or eat in with friends or partners monsoori heights will give you a friendly warm welcome. You are treated like a friend and nothing is too much trouble. The food is always fresh and the heat can be increased on request.

Amazing food great taste awesome atmosphere helpful staff. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the friendly faces of mansoori heights. Throughout the duration of our meal the staff made sure we were happy with our food and drinks. Despite being a full house they stayed on top of it and made sure not just us but the rest of the tables were not left unattended. Need not say any more other then great atmosphere followed by great service and delicious food. What more can you ask for.

Went with friends last night and had the most excellent meal. I had the best Dhansak I have ever had and with lemon rice it was unbeatable for taste and texture. My wife is not a curry/chilli fan so she is alsways hesitatnt to use Indian restaurants, but in Monsoori Heights she has discovered the perefct dish for her. I can't quite remember..it is number 39 and is Makhani or something like that. It is perefct for her. superb blend of sweet and savoury tastes without curry of chilli. A sttart of papadums with the superb dips ...we had two lots...the onion and red pepper dip being a hot favourite. Add to all this fine lager and good wines plus the most helpful, attentive and cheerfully friendly staff and it was an extremely pleasant experience. We were on holiday from Cornwall for the weekend and came across this restaurant, had heard good reviews but was not expecting much, however we had a complex order and they delivered with amazing quality. Despite the complexity they were so very friendly and we have never met staff as nice before, as well as serving us outstanding food. Their menu is a bit hard to understand but they were more than happy to break it down for us and gave us extra popadoms. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning next time!

Staying in Milford on sea for the weekend and had a takeaway with my sisters tonight. Having visited India this year it's been hard to match the food since returning. I can honestly say this is the best curry I have tasted in a long while, it was so tasty we would totally recommend this restaurant. The service was absolutely excellent, the staff were so friendly, we could not fault anything. Thank you! We will definitely return.
