Just too noisy from other guests.

I only visited the bar/lounge to attend an event. Staff was very nice and ready to offer help if needed.

In the most unlikely camouflage of a large pub in High Wycombe, A Taste of Thai is a hidden gem. The menu is limited to standard dishes that you would find in any Thai restaurant in the UK, but there the similarity ends. This is highly accomplished Thai cooking. Our fish cakes and vegetable Spring rolls were full of fresh, spicy but subtle flavours - the homemade sweet chilli sauce alone was worth the trip. Tom Yam gai was delicious, and my Massaman curry was apparently cooked to an authentic (and very rich) 16th century recipe researched by the charming and knowledgeable young chef . We went for lunch - not sure what the venue is like in the evening, but we shall certainly return for the food. They also do takeaway. A culinary treat and excellent value for money.

First of all , this restaurant is no longer called Mongkon , the original chef has moved on and a new kitchen and chef has taken over the place. The new restaurant is called "A Taste of Thai".

Would not ever order from this place again, what a disappointment. For the price they charge, you expect high quality food that's worth the money. When the rice was the best part of the meal, that's saying something! Food was bland and strange, 2/10.

I have to review to credit the amazing service we had last Sunday lunchtime. We were a party of four including my 86 year old mum with her walking frame. From the moment we stepped in the door to be seated through the whole meal, the attentiveness of all the staff, especially for my mum, was exceptional.

Really good food and plenty of it. Arrived 30 minutes before the confirmed delivery time so we weren't ready for it.

Exceedingly disappointed after trying Malik's for the first time, and will be avoiding this in future. Not only was the service ridiculously slow with over 40 mins between courses, the seating was cramped, and the attitude of the head waiter towards other staff was unpleasant. The food is overpriced for the quality of what you receive, and food arrived over salted with so much ghee it left a bad taste for the rest of the evening. Considering we didn't have any drinks, over £100 for 3 people seemed a bit excessive for the poor quality and service. Not for us and overall an unhappy experience in a poorly run establishment.
