😔 AWFUL Breakfast!! All overcooked , dry and tasteless! We are really disappointed as we came here a few years ago and the breakfast was delicious, we have the full English, this time is was absolutely AWFUL 😞 Everything on the plate was dry and totally overcooked would not of cared it costing £25 for 2 breakfast had it of been good but this was the worst breakfast we had had in a long time, went here this morning 27/07/2024 😔

I am Thai Been there 1 year ago I don't eat meat. Order only vegetables, the shop owner is very kind. People in the UK don't often smile, but they are kind. I left another 9 pound tip😅😂 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for making this meal for me.

Nice little cafe for a simple breakfast.

Sunday roast was just awful. Microwaved and nothing crispy/roasted. Waitress lovely and didn't charge us. Just hope it's a one-off, as the breakfast is great.

Excellent atmosphere and even better food, we ordered the eggs florentine and full english and they were both amazing!

I definitely do NOT recommend this place. The hot chocolate didnt taste like hot chocolate and the cup was dirty..The owner/waiter was rude and arrogant, not really professional at all… we didn’t felt comfortable. He seemed aggressive. He also said to my spanish friend that she should speak arabic, and make comment about the war between arabic and spanish people in the past which was quite aggressive again.

Had the Full English breakfast two days in a row😅 The turmeric Chai latte was delightful. Desert was amazing (vanilla cheesecake w/biscoff & carrot cake) The atmosphere is intimate and relaxed. Gorgeous spot👌🏽

Sorry, ich kann dir guten Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Das Essen war lauwarm, nicht nur an meinen Tisch. 'Sorry' und das Angebot es in der Mikrowelle aufzuwärmen ist zu wenig. Ich hatte ein englisches Frühstück und das war durchschnittlich. Keine Empfehlung.

Lovely cafe/bistro serving vegan food and cakes. I was extra happy as their vegan breakfast is also gluten-free. Great choices, lovely friendly service, and a dantadtic sun trap garden to enjoy your food in, too. A little gem.

Perfect vegan English breakfast in Kemptown, Brighton. Plenty of space in the cafe, and the fresh orange was lovely. The vegan breakfast was cooked quickly & was very tasty. Would definitely visit again, possibly to try the vegan Sunday roast

The staff were really accommodating of us, especially one really welcoming man. We had 2 kids in 2 buggys and he held the door for us and did what he could to seat us somewhere appropriate. The food was really delicious and good value for money. Really enjoyed our meal

Brilliant place for breakfast. So many choices, lovely presentation and absolutely delicious. Their coffee is great too. We came on a busy Sunday morning, yet the service was prompt and very friendly. We would love to come back and try their lunch options too!

Very very disappointed, food took a long time to come, ordered 2 shakes £6 each and one was only half full, my partner ordered avacado toast and poached eggs the toast wasn’t even toast it was just bread, the eggs were cold and hard and butter was just liquid. I had a full English which was completely cold, will never order from this place again.

Lovely Little cafe, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and evening meals. Small cafe and gets busy. There is outdoor seating available.

Have being using this restaurant/cafe for the last 3 months while working locally. Found the owner and all the staff friendly. A big shout out to wonderful waitress Aoife

Some of the food was cold, which you do not expect on an English Breakfast.

Cook fish very well 😋 and are happy to ablige in any way they can .recommend 🌊 bream and bass very reasonably priced. They do gluten free veggie and vegan staff are friendly and efficient, they have a garden, dog friendly. 🐕 also bring your own wi ne.sunday lunch lamb shank very good 👍

Fantastic food and a lovely waitress.

I asked if their brownie was raisin free as I was allergic. I asked the waitress twice if they contain raisins, she told me no. When I ate it, raisins where in them. Fair to say I was annoyed. Thankfully a mild reaction as I noticed it early but wow.

Worst coffee and English breakfast I ever had. The mocha I ordered was not good. Even the extra shot I ordered could not give any life to the coffee. I went in based on the based on the reviews but came out disappointed. It was not that busy but the food lacked quality as well. May be it’s just one of those days. I hope it will be better the next time we visit.

Great easy going place to eat with friends. Nice big garden at the back. Pet friendly too. Food is good - wide variety of dishes. Note - no alcohol is sold but you can bring your own wine.

Food was okay, vegan breakfast was expensive for what it is. The outside seating area was nice. For meat eaters I think it would be very reasonable price wise. Busy area and was quite quiet, which was a nice change when wanting to chill out for a second.

Really delicious breakfast, beautiful interior and very friendly and fast service. Made to feel very comfortable and food arrived very quickly. My eggs were a little over poached but it didn’t really effect the meal. Would definitely recommend- especially for breakfast.

Stumble through the door of this quaint cafe not expecting anything more than a quick lunchtime sarnie. How wrong were we!! We decided to eat well as we knew a long night was ahead. I chose the moules marinere for starters and sea bass for main. Partner had calamari for starter and same main as mine. It was absolutely fantastic. Never had mussels before but it sounded delicious and it was, so much so we were back next day for mussels for main course. Sea bass was cooked to perfection with a fantastic lemon caper sauce. Highly recommended this little cafe. Staff very friendly too. It's a ***** From me. No photos too busy eating fabulous food!

We decided to eat there because of the „kids menu“. We asked for it, but it doesn‘t exist. We had to wait a very long time until we got our food. Food was „okay“. Part of the garden would be very nice if there wouldn‘t be extreme loud music from the bar next door.

On the plus side, the staff are friendly. However, we waited a long while to order and another 45 minutes for food whilst five tables sat after us received their orders. Asked several times for someone to check on our orders (just a simple avocado and toast and eggs with bacon) and had to remind the waiter more than once to please check on the status. When the food arrived, the avocado was not ripe or edible and the bacon speaks for itself.

Excellent all day breakfast for only £10 - high quality ingredients without the unnecessary faff of vegan beans or pompous patties. Best breakfast I've had in recent memory.

Came here at midday, I had mussels, and it was excellent, really nicely made! Loved the garden, too.

What a delightful place to eat. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The food is excellent. Both the main course and dessert were fabulous. Garden area at the back has a very relaxing ambiance. Thoroughly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Waited 40 mins for a sandwich cheese came out on the wrong bread another ten minutes later no butter didn't even slice the tomatoes omg brought out 3 pots of hard butter to do ourselves process cheese not worth 5p never mind £5 never going there again

This place is very expensive for what you get. Basically, the items are the quality of a cheap caff in a supermarket but they charge like it was an artisanal hipster café. The eggs were cooked perfectly but there was no garnish, no sauce on the sandwich, and only the cheapest ingredients are used. The garden is very nice albeit obviously furnished from a catalogue. Basically feels a bit like a chain. The service was friendly (if a bit inexperienced) Can't fault the staff, i think it's more a problem with the way the place is run.

Sat in the garden out back. Great on a lovely Brighton day. Staff were helpful and friendly, eggs benedict extremely tasty. Would definitely recommend. Pay at the till when you are finished waiters do nt collect the bill.

I recently held my birthday party in the garden area of Mon Cafe , Brighton which was ours for the evening (there were 18 of us). We were able to forward plan our choices from the extensive menu and without exception all agreed that the food, service and ambience were excellent. So very pleased I chose to celebrate at Mon Cafe and cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you Midou and staff.

Had a delicious meal here last night. The food was all cooked perfectly. We had all 3 courses and all of it was lovely. Great to be able to bring your own wine as well. Highly recommend.

Found this place for breakfast and went every day of my stay after. Beautifully and perfectly cooked full English, and superb coffee. The staff were friendly with impeccable manners. Will miss eating here.

We decided to have a breakfast there as was close to our accommodation. Staff is very friendly and food tasty and fresh. There's a nice, spacious sitting area in the back, with outdoor heaters and lovely plants. We were so happy with the breakfast service that we had to come back for dinner! Everything was so nice and the owner let us open our own wine! We'd like to thank for beautiful memories and recommend other to visit!

We ate really delicious breakfast this morning at the Mon Cafe Bistro, whilst away in Brighton. Great friendly service and extremely clean Cafe. Especially happy to see vegetarian options available.

Enjoyed breakfast, the lady staff member was extremely polite & welcoming. The Chef also greeted us and other customers asked if we need anything which is a bonus for me. Would recommend this lovely place felt comfortable and at home. Especially enjoyed my scrambled eggs royale which I requested and it melted in my mouth complimented the salmon very well. My husband opted for the full english. No matter where I visit I take my dinning experience seriously and we were both satisfied. 😃😃

Discovered Mon Café Bistro this morning with my husband and really appreciated the friendly welcome and table service. My husband really enjoyed his Eggs Royal and I loved my Croque Madame all with a big pot of tea. Would definitely return for brunch or to try some of their lunch/dinner menu.

Went there for breakfast and had a lovely meal. We had Eggs Benedict and a panini. Perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Food is 5 stars and would not fault. The female waitress was very nice and accommodating, there was also a gentlemen waiter (perhaps manager?) and he seriously needs to work on his customer skills. It was a nice peaceful setting until he showed up making a lot of noise, clanging glasses and plates together ensuring everyone knew he was working. Asked him for the bill and he gave a nod and rolled his eyes. Don’t know why he was so miserable, but would recommend going there on his day off.

My wife, 3yr old son and I visited here on Friday morning and had a lovely breakfast. Nice, calm, tranquil atmosphere. We had a full English breakfast and lapped the lot. Washed down with a pot of tea. Owner welcoming and appreciated our custom.

Our second visit here ! A lovely little intimate cafe, the owner/manager is very polite and gives table service. We had two cappuccinos, lovely and hot and strong, just how a cappuccino would be in Italy or France. Also I tried the vegan salted caramel cake. Mouthwateringly gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this place, especially to couples as there is chill out music playing and a cozy Mediterranean feel. Hidden gem.

During a recent stay in Brighton, I enjoyed an evening meal (a delicious Pizza Classic) and a very tasty breakfast (Eggs Royale, a dairy-free turmeric latte and a freshly squeezed orange juice.) There was a great range of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Maître d' was very attentive, friendly and professional, and the environment made for a very relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. I will definitely be returning when I next visit.
