Momo’s Restaurant in Birmingham

I arrived here for lunch at Momo Coventry road. I did not realise the establishment was Cash only, it was not signposted properly. The Somali man tall one behind the counter was rude, several men behind the counter. Which was intimidating for females. If females are coming into your establishment please make sure your staff are trained to be welcoming and accommodating. Thank you.

We ordered starters, not even a minute passed we got the kebabs Luke warm with a rotten smell. Impossible to cook kebabs less than a minute. Didn't even bother to order anything else. Charged us full price aswell. Even better they have 6 servers and you still have to serve your self.

He estado aquí varias veces la comida es decente y los precios y raciones también el servicio también está bien. Definitivamente vale la pena intentarlo.

Excellent food and well cooked with good portion size. I would recommend the platters as you can always increase on what you have

The place looked tatty and staff a little reserved. Presentation of food on display didn’t look great. My friends and I ordered the sea bass with rice and some grilled meats. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the big portions. A lot of flavour in all the dishes as well being fresh. Hence, why the place was fairly busy. What was more impressive was the price. A lot of good food for the money. Would definitely go again.

Decent food, but does not appeal to the South Asian tastebuds. They serve a good variety but I always find myself adding extra chilli. I would recommend this for large groups as they sell platters with rice, noodles and meat.

This place is the best. Flavoursome, well-cooked and just awesome. However, I would say tht the food gets cold a little quickly.

Very tasty food.. relatively clean place, standard decor and decent value for money. Portion sizes are quite generous and the staff seem friendly. Very cultured so don't expect British customer service. Lol I'd definitely revisit because I don't think you can purchase a lamb anywhere these days for £6.50 including rice, salad, hummus, sauces and water. And it actually tastes really good so thumbs up. The place is average looking at best hence no 5 stars. Plus the customer service isn't all that. The food is very nice for what is.

1st time we went we really enjoyed the roast chicken, it left a long lasting flavour with us and a longing for more. The next time we went ordered it again but different chef so tasted very different but ok. Ordered again but never comes out like that 1st time. Other food is ok too, Hummus is always good, service is quick with a friendly smile.

I highly recommend the Lamb Shwarma, the bread it's self tasted fresh, it wasn't dry or stale. The lamb it's self was succulent and full of flavours, I also ordered a side of hummus, which went perfectly with the Shwarma. I highly recommend

This restaurant serves one of the best Arabian foods in the city, from rice to shawarma, mix grill and humus. Their food is well made and tasty, the price is very affordable and the portion is very large. Finding a place to park your vehicle next to the restaurant is hard, the decor of the place should be changed and the tables should be cleaned regularly to keep things clean.

They got our order wrong, and when brought up, they insisted they were right and refused to refund us.

The chicken steak was dry, the place needs a refurb, decent in price and good size servings. Don't know I'd go again.

this is a great arabian food place for healthy pasta and shawarma chicken. never been disappointed by their food and service. only issue i have when travelling to this area of Birmingham is parking.

La comida era muy buena, el servicio era agradable y rápido. Nos dieron una habitación familiar. El personal era muy atento y nos dio un excelente servicio. No me importaría ir allí de nuevo.

Si te gusta la cocina árabe sabores de bien, entonces vale la pena probar el plato de arroz con cordero kuzi mandy, shish kabab, shawarmas y las opciones de parrilla. Porción es generoso. Un plato para uno puede ser compartido por dos personas y una cena para dos personas puede ser compartido entre 2-3 personas. El falafel era absolutamente delicioso, normalmente servido con algunos hummus y salsa caliente (bisbas) y ensalada. Este lugar alimenta bien con muy poco costo a pagar.

Food was burnt and soo plain mix grill was burnt the steaks where so hard to chew and burnt also never again will i go there

The place is a bit run down, could do with a change of decor. The staff need to clean the tables regularly. Service is below average. The way the staff talk to you, not very nice as very abrupt and aggressive. The food on the other hand is good Arabian style food.

Been frequently visiting over several years and found it to be good food for value.It is a busy place with locals.Simple 2, 3, 4 or 5 people platters with a variety of meats, rice and pasta.The cinnamon tea is nice.

I have been to this place several times and always found the quality of food the same, really really top class. They only do few dishes and believe me they are very good at it . Their Yakhni soup and Qehwa are second to none . It reminds me of rural Yemen and Muscat or a roadside Dhaba in Punjab. Please make note that this is not a posh place , just go there for food and for the love of the food only , although they have couple room upstairs as well, very handy if you are visiting with family or a group of friends . Prices are very reasonable too.

Traditional theme traditional choice of food. you have family spaces upstairs and then your normal tables down. decent toiletsthe food is very good indeed but just be sure you know where you're going. this isn't your posh restaurant etc this is a place to get a quick bite if you'd like. it's a very good quick bite but unless you know the area and are part of that area, you wouldn't really fit in

im from london, i travel up to birmingham every so often to c freinds n my teacher's , we ALWAYS stop of at momo's for a mixed platter, ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT . never fails us , EVER :))) it really is that good. may be would suggest a make over for comfort , but the food is brilliant,

I have been visiting this place for about 5 years with my husband. Superb quality, at a very price, that's good on my pocket. Lovely food, can do with improving their decor. Outstanding food quality.

We always order the rice with lamb and chicken sharwma and much more platter, truly delicious I would highly recommend it!

This restaurant is lovely, Every time i go Birmingham, i eat at this restaurant.The food is excellent and well priced, the staff are very friendly and helpful.I would recommend this place to anyone who is willing to have some lovely food with a great service.The only slight downside is the atmosphere of this hotel is not that nice.

I was told from friends that the food is very different and it's a good experience. It's not bad as I was eating something very different and the food I ate was ok. This was the lamb and rice. It's probably a place of tradition more than eating for food I would say. But it was. Busy when I went. The only worse thing eating here is that their isn't car park. You will have to like somewhere else for it.
