Molly's Cafe in Birmingham

Lovely staff. They were big far off closing but were still happy to accommodate us but I think, as a consequence, the bacon was overcooked, some of the food was a bit on the dry side and it all felt a bit rushed. No-one was there, I guess due to the time, so the lack of atmosphere was not down to them.

Excellent breakfast and service. Very friendly and food is amazing. Will visit again soon.

Just dropped in for a coffee after a walk. Coffee was fine but didn't eat. Friendly staff and clean. Prices looked reasonable

Good came cold bacon was undercooked beans were cold hasbrown and bread was soggy I’m not happy about this I’ve put it in the bin.

Not great I'm afraid ,It used to be a nice cafe nice food however today I had a fry up and was disappointed. Bacon hard like it had been there all morning ,beans luke warm .Toast was rock hard barley any butter .They did bring out more bacon but still not great and very salty .The place is clean but the breakfast was not up to standard unfortunately.

Haven’t been here for a few years and it’s really gone downhill! Staff walk around with a look of total disdain on their faces even though they don’t actually serve you, you have to get up and get everything yourself. Food is so budget, I’ve never seen black pudding cut so thin. Tinned tomatoes full of salt, no sauces on the table. An embarrassment to the reputation of Molly’s, shame. Totally dead too, no wonder. Hope someone new takes over soon and brings it back to life

food was around 20 mins late and seemed to have been all shaken up (the beans and toms had leaked all over the bag and the eggs as they were sunny also had broken yolks other than that it was enjoyable

For starters I’ve been coming here for a good number of years and it’s a shame that this cafe has just got worst…..I ordered a big one english breakfast and eggs Benedict with a latte… waited 5 mins for my coffee which had to go back to the till for and wasn’t very hot…. when breakfast came out the English was average, and my toast arrived after I’d finished … disappointed that these are the most easiest things to cook and for £20 I’d of expected better!!! Shame really as mollys cafe was very iconic on the green

Entramos en Mollys café la mayoría de los sábados para el desayuno y normalmente no tenemos problemas, pero hoy no fue una experiencia que queremos nunca más. Para empezar notamos que la mayoría de las mesas estaban ocupadas o no habían sido limpiadas, había platos sucios de comida sin comer, tazas medio llenas de bebidas. Había clientes esperando comida o para ser servidos. No había servilletas, escuchamos a un cliente quejarse de esperar un bocadillo la próxima vez que se quejó le preguntaron si quería pan integral solo para que le dijeran que no había pan integral, se fue. Hicimos nuestro pedido, luego despejamos una mesa y esperamos, no había tenedores que se tenían, ya que no se habían limpiado de las mesas y los cuchillos en los cubiertos estaban sucios. Nos sirvieron solo para descubrir que los huevos fritos estaban mal cocidos, la clara del huevo estaba corrida. Los clientes se iban sin ser atendidos y escuché que un cliente dijo que se iban para ir a Chas Manns ya que el servicio y la comida era mucho mejor y valía la pena pagar un poco extra. Un cliente comentó sobre el servicio solo para que le dijeran que el propietario había cortado los turnos de parte del personal para ahorrar dinero y para terminar el jabón en el inodoro había sido diluido, obviamente para ahorrar dinero. Tuvimos que limpiar la mesa con toallitas húmedas ya que no se habían limpiado de los clientes anteriores. Creo que deberían ser investigados por la limpieza.

Only thing last week the sausage sandwich wasn’t toasted as asked. This week the wrong sandwich toasted the bacon one. Still very good food.

Ordered too 2.5hrs. Wrong items delivered, and food very luke warm maybe due to excessive lateness. I made request for pricing consideration due to 2.5hrs for what is just a hot sandwich but no offer was communicated.

it took over 2 hours for me to get my food. that was over an 1 hour late. unfortunately it was the same last time i ordered from here. food turned up cold. I ordered a breakfast and the bacon was rock solid. this isn't my first time having a bad experience here so I've given them the benefit of doubt and it's just the same as last time. sorry, but I would avoid

I always used to order from here and the food was lovely every time. Today though it was vile. The eggs were hard. The bread was hard. The hollandaise sauce was all over the tray so it had been tipped upside down and mashed about in the box. The bacon was fatty. Last few orders haven’t been very nice and this has topped it off for me I won’t be returning.

Always very quick to cook the food. Portion size is very good. The cafe is always very clean and tidy. Enjoyed a few big breakfasts there recently so big thumbs up. If I'm being really fussy I'd love the mugs of tea to be a bit bigger to wash down the big breakfast or offer refillable (they may do I never ask to be honest so sorry to Molly's if you do offer refills). Overall definitely worth a visit.. the Irish breakfast is worth a shout too!

the food we ordered was wrong and then they did send another set but then the quality wasn't great think we will be giving this place a miss for a while

delivery should have been between 13.35 and 13.55. I had to ring restaurant at 14.05 as order had not arrived. Told driver had left 5 minutes before. Bearing in mind I only live 5 mins. 15 mins later rang restaurant again and they didn't answer phone. Order did not arrive until 14.15. Coffee was cold

Esperé media hora para 2 desayunos. Entonces mis hijas desayunaron mal con los tomates, así que pidió que esperaran otros 5 minutos antes de que salieran fríos. 1 star is pushing it! I ordered breakfast for me and my kids. Build your own breakfasts. No toast and no hash browns. I called the cafe and a driver answered. I asked to speak to someone who worked there and a girl shouting in the background so rude! I wouldn't order or go there again!

Nice little cafe on Kings Norton Green. Shuts at 2 pm. Does things like breakfasts & hot sandwiches, also veggie sausages. If you ask for an omelette it is enormous! About 4 eggs!

Well to start with the flies were everywhere, even in my cup of tea! The food was not good at all . The best thing was the lady in front of house ,very polite , what a fall in standards , I rated this cafe 5 stars 7 years ago .Best food around!!! Definitely not any more. 🤢

Ordered for delivery. Item missing, didn't even call to say they ran out, just a note on reciept upon delivery. Leaving someone without there lunch. Very disappointed.

plenty of food (we ordered the big 4) little chilly and toast and fried bread a little soggy but understandable with transporting. coffee also came with a normal lid not sealed but over all very good deal

Love this place but last few orders have all been missing things that were paid for as extras. Irish breakfast had no darling or potatoe bread but they didn't say just left to find out it was missing really is ashame as we lived ordering from here but pointless if you don't receive half the breakfast

Al principio nos sentimos atraídos a Mollys café debido a los precios razonables y el hecho de que utilizaba salchichas Lashford que se hicieron locales. Nuestra primera experiencia para desayunar fue muy buena, luego el café cambió de manos y lentamente durante un par de meses o así fue bajando constantemente. Un miembro del personal nos dijo que la nueva dirección quería optar por alimentos más baratos e inferiores y se le informó que perderían clientes si cambiaba de proveedor allí, por lo que aumentaron los precios en todo el menú. No solo que el tamaño de la porción parecía ser más pequeño. Si optas por la opción de un sándwich la calidad es muy mala, sin untar en el sándwich frío (jamón, queso, ensalada, etc.) Cómo se las arreglan para mantener allí el estado de higiene de 5 estrellas está más allá de mí, ya que las mesas no se limpiaron después de cada cliente, el piso es en el mejor de los casos grosero, odio pensar cuando las instalaciones del inodoro se limpiaron por última vez también la falta de papel higiénico y la disponibilidad de servilletas de papel es un poco golpe y falta, sugiero que el ayuntamiento de Birmingham revisa allí el estado de higiene y puede ser la calificación del personal de catering. Los precios de los alimentos han aumentado tanto que su mejor relación calidad-precio en un restaurante más exclusivo. Baso mis observaciones en que fui jefe de cocina en un restaurante del centro de la ciudad.

My sausage & egg sandwich was OK but the cappuccino I had was far too milky and not enough coffee.

Serves warm apple juice, charges extra for hash browns on a full English and advertises eggs Benedict without having hollandaise sauce. If you have cheese and milk…you can make the sauce

missing tea and coffee with hangover heaven breakfasts

Irish breakfast is a joke irish white pudding was disgusting, I'm irish if not using real irsh pudding don't try an pass it off it's not irish

Food was cold or lukewarm. Items missing, bacon had so much fat on it and it arrived an hour and 50mins after I had ordered. Twice I was told it was out for delivery, calls were 30 mins apart. Really disappointed, I’ve ordered from Mollys plenty of times before but this meal was the worst I’ve had from them.

First time here after the local one I used to use shut without notice. Very very nice cafe and relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, and the cleanest cafes I have ever visited, highly recommend.

if I could give the zero stars I would. ordered at 11.30 am 2 hours later they knock my door with food fit for the bin I sent it back as I'd already requested a refund. the convenient excuse of the drivers car broke down was the explanation, used Molly's for a number of years but only twice on just eat. will never use again.

Took about an hour and a half to get here for the toast to be burnt to a crisp no sausages whatsoever even though there was meant to be 4 of everything and no coffee even though I bought one won’t be ordering from here again

Sandwich not as good as last time hence the reviews

Ate in twice and found both times the egg was undercooked and was waiting over 30 mins inside. Decided to order to collect this time after seeing a few good reviews . I ordered a sausage sandwich and a sausage&bacon sandwich. unfortunately the bread wasn’t even buttered, no sauce when I asked and bacon &sausage dry and over cooked. Such a shame as once was a good cafe.

Been a long time since I visited this cafe and was passing one morning and popped in. Service is really good and food was really well cooked as well. Shame you can't substitute some things and swap for others like you can with other cafes. Overall can't go wrong with mollys.

This café is absolutely horrible! The food comes out really greasy and drowned in oils, fat and tinned tomatoes. The staff make the customers (especially the younger generation) feel really uncomfortable and they are very judgemental. The owner of the café is so rude to all of the customers and staff, and stands there and stares into space whilst someone is waiting to order or the phone is ringing. This management is very disrespectful and not inclusive to anyone! If you are not a regular they treat you really rude and make you pay for everything whilst regulars get there meal for free! I wouldn't recommend this café to anyone unless you want to be ripped off for asking for certain things to be replaced or switched on your plate as they charge you a whole £1 for it! Also all the staff are women, very rude women! Overall a disgusting and unfriendly environment I wouldn't take my dog too!

I ordered with just eat, the 2 breakfast sandwiches were ok but I asked for a ham baguette. Instead they sent me a ham sandwich, no butter and it was very dry, I ended up just eating the ham. That's why I've only given 3 stars.

The 2 breakfast sandwiches were ok, but I asked for a Ham baguette as well which I didn't get, they did me a dry no butter Ham sandwich, I ended up just eating the ham which wasn't very tasty. in the packaging there was a couple of melted cheese lumps.

Not a bad little cafe, bacon was tasty, egg shell in the egg, other than that it was a tasty sandwich. Not been to a cafe where you order food/drinks and you aren't served your drinks at your table, used to having drinks brought over, just thought it strange, as the food was brought over, plus it wasn't busy when we arrived. Just my own person thing, fake flowers on the table in vases is possibly not the best, these gather dust. Would be better off doing what another local cafe does and puts knifes/forks/serviettes instead, much easier. I would go back and try something else, as the food that was served to others looked really nice and I hear they do lashford sausages, so when I do go back, I will try these :)

We had a variety of breakfasts sandwiches, all of which were superb. The quality of the ingredients really shone. We will definitely be going back for more.

I had 3 different delivery times

Had a really nice breakfast here today. Washed down with a latte. They use Lashford sausages which are made just down the road from here. We managed to get in just before the late morning rush. Molly's is very popular we found.

Unfortunately there was no options to add sauces to our breakfast sandwiches order so we added our choices to a note on ordering but all our sandwiches arrived 30 mins late with no sauces and unfortunately one of our sandwiches which was bacon & egg only had one slice of bacon on it.
