Had a really lovely lunch on Saturday. The food was delicious, the staff were lovely and it had a great ambiance. I've marked it down a star purely on the price of a small lemonade, which at £4.20 feels a bit rich - especially when a small wine was £4.95. What happened to supporting designated drivers?!

Molesworth Arms is a humble, calm inn-type hotel. The furniture was very rustic, cosy and warm. There was a fan and heating system in our room and kept us toasty throughout the night. Dogs were welcome here as well. The rooms were a bit small and not too much of a luxury, but a good place to relax and unwind. The bedding and pillows were soooo soft and getting up in the morning was a struggle 😅. There weren't many tv channels that we enjoyed but Judge Judy was nice. Breakfast in the morning was very comforting. The hot chocolate was great!!! Claire was especially nice and helpful and it was so good to have such a nice waitress to help us out with our countless demands 😬.

Had a wonderful meal in this delightful pub/hotel! The steak was delicious, as were the baby ribs. Oh! And the treacle based sticky toffee pudding was sooo worth it! The car park was a real begger to find mind! Look out for the signage leading up a back road. There's also the CO-OP carpark a few min's walk away. Spacious but cosy and very old worldly in many appealing ways. Hint, ask to taste the toffee sauce before committing. That way you have extra sauce to pour over your pudding (Nom!)

Shockingly small portion for the price went here for breakfast last weekend and ordered pancakes and bacon. When it arrived the couple of pancakes were smaller than the bacon and it was served with golden syrup the cheapest syrup around(sugar water lemon juice) not even maple syrup and the pancakes were slightly burnt which was hidden underneath instead of making them again they served them to me anyway for £10 is a rip off. I was shocked I've seen a few pancakes in different places in the area and stupidly thought this place would be the same Never going back there again and I visit Wadebridge often. Prefer the Swan Inn which is v v close

Doggies and I have just popped I for lunch. The place is spotless and the staff friendly. We (well the doggies had already eaten so it was just me) had a portion of calamari, followed by something from the ’specials’. A beef brisket wrap. Excellently presented, hot and delicious. I had the accompanying Greek salad. Although you can pick your own side to go with it. Most recommended and I will return. Thank you to all the staff.

We ate there as previous reviews were ratings of 5. To be fair the staff were very pleasant and helpful although we had to wait. The photos portrayed were not realistic to the food we had nor was the decor. Maybe we had an evening when main chef was off but I didn’t think so. Food was absolutely fantastic and quite literally the best food from a pub we've ever had! Went in around lunch time for their "full cornish breakfast" that was advertised on the board outside. It was anything but a "full cornish breakfast" Nearly £13 for it and I was served one sausage that looked boiled, with zero colour to it, a "fried" egg where the yolk was so hard it was like a golf ball, a very rubbery slice of bacon and the thinnest slice of black pudding which I only received half of it, the mushroom was wrinkled and also very hard. All i ate was a slice of toast, a hashbrown and left the rest, it was definitely not worth £13 and should not be called "full cornish breakfast". Either the chef/cook has absolutely no idea what they are doing or they have totally lost their passion and should find another job I should have seen the warning signs as I walked in, with dolphin fridge magnets for sale right next to the entry way. There was a reason why there was only 3 people in for lunch, 2 of which was my self and the wife. I most certainly won't ever go back. Owner response shows that they can't accept criticism nor even want to find out what went wrong with our lack of quality with the food. I like that you've entirely brushed off points ive raised, only to list that the "ingredients are worth £13" I'd tend to agree, if they were cooked properly and recieved items not cut in half and retracted from the plate. No where was it listed on the menu that I'd be getting breakfast items in half. Your response encapsulates why your pub is empty and the food is the way it is. Note: we ordered before 11:30, but that was a nice attempt at trying to pass off subpar service and food as "you came in too late". First I've heard of that one. The blonde lady (waitress) was the only positive part to the visit, she seems to actually care. I'll be sharing your response so people can avoid experiencing the same as us. You can either accept the review and find out what went wrong to make your place better, or get defensive, ignore all the points raised and stay empty.

Our trip to the Moleworth Arms in Wadebridge this evening was superb. Having glanced through a promising menu earlier in the day, we decided to pop in and book a table for our party of six. This was very easy to do and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and though our table wasn't quite ready, we were shown to a comfortable place to wait. The menu lived up to its promise, the food was delicious! A good selection to choose from and the dishes we had were all hot, fresh and very pleasing to the eye (and the tongue!). Really excellent food. The most impressive thing, however, was the quality of service we received, particularly from our host/waitress, Kirstie. Right from our initial welcome, everything was done to make us feel at home, that we could relax and enjoy our evening. Kirstie made a special effort to take time to engage with our young granddaughter and cheered her up when she was tired and fractious. We noticed that she was taking time to give that special welcome to other young guests as they arrived too, whilst still making a warm and friendly atmosphere for guests of all ages.We would not hesitate to go back. Well worth a visit. Good menu, great food and gold standard five star service. Not to be missed.

My daughter in laws food didn’t come out with everyone else’s (somehow forgotten) she did get a free portion of chips to eat in the meantime, when it did come after most of us had finished our food it was obviously rushed and tasteless. Because of the pub downstairs it is extremely noisy in the night till late and during the morning concierge is not even better. A nightmare if you want to rest and sleep! When food arrived hubby's steak wasnt cooked enough, sauce had to be asked for again 1/4 of tomato and a squashed mushroom..Man on table next to us had steak and he's looked far nicer although he complained his steak was overcooked, maybe he had hubby's. My chicken was nice but lumpy mash and only 1 veg offered. Hubby then had cheese and again waitress didn't know choices, I had Eton Mess although not a Berry in sight..Overall we was really disappointed. Having trawled through so many pubs and restaurants to find somewhere that a) didn’t need a reservation and b) actually served seafood we were pleasantly surprised today to come across this pub on the high street in Wadebridge. We wanted somewhere safe for the kids but still outside and this place has a sweet courtyard at the back which the kids loved. The staff were the friendliest that we’ve encountered since arriving a week ago and they made you feel like rather than ‘catering for kids’ they actively welcome them! It’s not fine dining but the dining is great and just what you’d hope for in a great pub. They do nice specials such as squid staters and monkfish. Plus they give the kids drawing pads and give out lollipops when they’ve completed them - a really nice touch. Kids happy! Kirsty and Mya are fantastic!!!

Sadly a waste of time and money.Really poor service from the two servers who were taking car of us (on the card we were given I believe they were called Mia and Ithica). We waited a long time to order, to receive food and then for the plates to be tidied etc. Tables weren’t been managed properly until a new staff member came in much closer to us leaving. Now regarding our meals. We ordered:Mexican pizza Margarita pizza BBQ Pizza with no onions Fajita wrap I also ordered a pina colada cocktail which tasted like off milk or strangely cheese. This was sorted by staff and I was able to order a different cocktail with no problems. One waitress (she had long dark brown hair) came to our table and said “I have a pizza, steak and onion” we were confused and said “which pizza is that?” She said “I’m not sure” then we suggested “is it maybe the Mexican” as we asked for no onions on the BBQ and she said “it might be I don’t know” and placed it down. The rest of the food came after that and we sorted the misplaced pizza (it was actually the BBQ sadly WITH onions). Overall the service was very sloppy and by the end paying the bill didn’t seem worth it for what we got. After complaining about the cocktail we never had the chance to complain about the pizza with onions because no servers came out in the space we ate our food (which we had waited nearly an hour for). Also the margarita and Mexican we had were COVERED in a thick layer of cheese which wasn’t too enjoyable to eat. Less cheese would have made is a very nice pizza. However, the fajita wrap was very nice and other foods going out looked delicious as well (a burger the table next to us had was “really really nice” as they described).

We had a lovely meal here on Father’s Day. My husband and son had the Tex Mex Skewer, and both said it was delicious. I had the Seafood Linguine and it was one of the best I have had recently. Maria and Alice who attended us where very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Had visited Padstow but it was extremely busy so we came back to Wadebridge and were very glad we chose here for our celebration lunch. There wasn't any problem that we hadn't booked. The food was delicious with great service from Kirstie. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed and all the staff were cheerful and attentive. Thank you to everyone on the team.

Visited whilst on holiday, had a lovely meal, good choice of food, all cooked really well. A couple of small problems with our food was quickly dealt with. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Barman made cocktails not on the list, my friend said the Espresso Martinis were amazing. Been out for dinner a few times since lockdown ended but this felt like we were finally getting back to normal, Covid rules still followed but nice and relaxing and a great night out.

My boyfriend and I only popped in for a couple of much needed drinks after a long day and ended up staying for some delicious food. All of the staff made us feel very welcome- especially ‘Karen’ who looked after us all night, she made sure our drinks were topped up and made extra effort to make conversation. The best service we have had in a long time and would recommend to anyone! We will definitely be back soon!

First meal put after lockdown and couldn’t have chosen a better place. We sat in the newly revamped sheltered outdoor area, which was very welcoming. Carl in particular was an amazing host, very attentive and super friendly. The food was great and the service excellent, would highly recommend. (Also great if you’re wanting somewhere dog friendly).

We had a great lunch here today, really good menu with the option to have a smaller, lighter lunch if required. My husband had a really tasty beef burger with bacon and I had freshly made crab cakes which were delicious. The food was excellent as was the service and everyone was friendly especially Maia who served us. She showed us the new restaurant, The Boatyard which looks great and we look forward to trying it. We will be back

As locals, we’ve frequented this pub for many years. We have eaten there a couple of times since the easing of lockdown restrictions and every time the service and food has been great. Particular mention must go to both Steve and Carl who are both exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Most recently we turned up on a slightly chilly Saturday night and Carl went out of his way to make sure we had a nice warm table in the covered area at the back. We will be back again very soon I’m sure!

The staff are very friendly and organised. We were served by Kieron who was friendly and pleasant. Wish I'd had cash on me to leave a generous tip. I have eaten at the Molesworth three times in the last ten days in the courtyard area and had a consistently good experience - hence going back! A mid week lunch, Sunday roast and evening meal - excellent standard of food, lots of menu options (although having a sweet tooth would have loved more dessert options!) ... Kieran served us twice (warm, welcoming, friendly professional service, he is ace!) and Karl once (professional, attentive, engaging & very smart). Well done all of the team for offering such an excellent experience - making people happy in this easing of the lockdown - only two days and we can eat back inside!

Camped locally and cycled to Padstow on the Saturday and it was lovely but busy. Decided to try Wadebridge on the Sunday and was about to give up on a place that was lacking in eateries of any kind/type and open public loos. We came across the Molesworth and intended to have a pint and use their facilities. However the staff were so nice and it was a real little sun spot that having seen good looking food pass us we decided to stay for a Sunday Roast and what a result. Genuinely one of THE best Roast I have ever had. Absolutely faultless. I had the lamb which was great but my wife had the veggie roast and that was as good as the lamb. Two hours in the sun and a wobbly bike ride back made this a highlight of our mini holiday. Go to Padstow but come back to Wadebridge for a meal. Highly recommended. Staff food and beer truly excellent and the locals were colourful and friendly. Thank you.

We visited the Molesworth Arms twice for dinner on a recent very poignant trip as we had travelled to Cornwall for a funeral. The food and hospitality were first rate, many thanks to Harry and Karen for looking after us on consecutive evenings. Despite all the COVID restrictions we felt thoroughly looked after during an emotional time for us, thank you.

This is truly a hidden Gem!! We've came twice for breakfast and have been so impressed!! The atmosphere taking you back to the 1940's is truly an expericence and the breakfast was genuinely the best we have had, anywhere! The two ladies than run it couldn't have been more lovely and inviting (even cooking a sausage for our dog and provided her with treats). We would come back time and time again and would recommend everyone does! If I could have gave it a million stars I would!!

After visiting my home county of Cornwall in Penzance, I wanted what all Cornish men yearn for a real Cornish pasty so I bought one from a shop that has been trading for 20/30 years and what I tasted was the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had (total rubbish) disgrace to all Cornish pasties, so the next day I went into the deli called the Cornish Hen and bought another pasty and wow it was the best I’ve ever had in Cornwall so I say to all you people who visit Penzance and want the best pasty going visit the Cornish Hen in Penzance you won’t be disappointed

Booked for a meal as it was one of only a few places that mentioned allergies on their menu (we have quite a few intolerences/allergies) And they coped amazingly! We are used to just one or two options but they managed to offer quite a few. And the food was delicious 😋 The staff were friendly and it was reassuring when one admitted they weren't confident in helping navigate the menu, but asked another who checked it all with the kitchen first. The atmosphere is also great with a well used bar to one side full of locals and a comfortable and modern yet cosy restaurant. Thouroughly recommend
