Stopped off for a morning coffee during a stay in Bath. Very narrow till area which with 3 couples in there was quite crowded. The array of cakes and bread were fantastic, all smelt amazing and fresh. The coffees we ordered were made quickly, tasted great and were reasonably priced - what more can you ask for from a coffee shop?!

Best danish pastries ever plus a view of Abbey Square to relax with good coffee and pastry treats. Would have got 5 stars if the staff had seemed a little less preoccupied with their conversation when we first walked in and didn’t know it was a ‘select your own pastry’ from the window.

We went for a quick meal and ordered four sandwiches, 2 lattes, 2 black coffees, and later 2 espressos (because the black coffee was not drinkable) .The lattes were just okay, the sandwiches were good, but the black coffee and espresso were the worst we have ever tasted – they were truly terrible. The unpleasant taste of those drinks completely ruined the experience

Chose this coffee shop because the pastries looked very appetising. We were not disappointed! Croissant, almond croissant and cinnamon roll were all delicious. Hot chocolate (white and normal) were excellent too Not the cheapest place but definitely worth spending a little more to get such good quality

Absolutely terrible. Sat at a table, whilst another customer moved the rubbish off of the table they had just sat at onto ours (not enough staff to clear?) I took two trays and countless other things inside to clear the table. Another older customer with a walking stick tripped down the step with his tray, I offered to carry it to his table- as again no-one else seemed available. Ordered two hot chocolates - was not asked a single thing (small/large, drink in/takeaway, anything else). Sat down and realised both were cold. Took them back in and was made new drinks by a member of staff who seemed so annoyed I ended up apologising!! So I'm £8 down, have cleared up two of your tables of items but not stickiness, sat on a chair with birds poo over it.... and apologised for the inconvenience I caused you all!

The baked goods are excellent. However they serve drinks in handle-less plastic beakers and provide milk in a paper cup, Why do we have this nonsense? What happened to milk jugs and proper crockery? Felt slovenly.

I stopped to grab a take out coffee, and got distracted by a cake in the window. I immediately asked what they were, thinking it was a “Cruffin” as we have in London. I was told they were cinnamon buns, but they were being taken off sale as they would be “past their best” by this time. I appreciated this honesty. I turned to order a coffee, although someone who had just walked in, jumped in front of me and ordered. This is no reflection on the cafe, but I found this extremely rude, especially as I was then “in his way” as he used the wrong card machine. £3.50 for a latte was about average and what I would usually pay. It was very well made & tasted great.

Often call in here when visiting Bath. Good coffee, lovely bread and cakes, had the courgette, lime and pistachio cake today, very good. Always found staff to be pleasant. The only drawbacks to me are the steep stairs, up to get a table and down the basement level for the loos. There’s no table service so you have to negotiate the stairs with coffee and cake in hand. Or of course, take an outside table and enjoy close up view of the Abbey. Overall a pleasant and convenient coffee shop and bakery.

Me and my friend went to this cafe in search of a great croissant and coffee before a day visiting. We’ve had quite a few in our time and thought it could hit the spot. Firstly, the staff were lovely and attentive (can’t remember the guys name with dark hair - but shoutout to you! Maybe Ben?) we sat outside which was refreshing and had a lovely view. I had the smoothest flat white I have ever had and the croissant was buttery and unreal! If I didn’t live 3 hours away, I’d be back every day!!

Oh how I do reminisce the glorious days when this pie establishment reigned Bath. The delicious pies - with thick crust; warming the body and soul, lingering on the corners of the mouth..awaiting a later date to be savoured. And the fillings...the Heidi pie with most cosy sweet potato tricking the body for all its goodness...and the meaty dense pies for their whispers of the farm and home life. DELICIOUS PIES. GLORIOUS PIES. And where have they gone? Where are they hiding?!!

Popped in for a tea/cake pick-me-up on a day out shopping trip. You are required to order at the counter (fine) but the counter area is extremely small and no matter where you stand you're in someone's way. They bring your drinks but you help yourself to cake and have to carry this up a narrow staircase to the first floor seating area (tricky with shopping and trying to hold a handrail). You also have to carry a coloured tin pot that somehow communicates what you've ordered to waiting staff. We sat at a large shared table (fine) but had to sweep crumbs and other detritus off with a napkin so it was clean enough to use. The drinks took ages to come (they gave them to the wrong customers apparently, so the tin pot was a waste of time)....and the canned pop music was loud and truly awful. When our drinks eventually arrived they were good, there were fulsome apologies and they did turn the music off when I asked them to but this was far from a pick-me-up. Wouldn't go back.

Popped into their new location in the Ram this morning, with a friend. Amazing, great coffee, a secret sausage roll to die for, great staff...time to chat and a great atmosphere.

I visit Picnic Coffee every week for the delicious coffee and lemon drizzle cake. However, the staff just bring my order to the table and walk away without a word or a glance at me. Where are the staff other reviewers praise so highly?

Visited this cafe with my 2 children, we had a drink first the children done some colouring which they enjoyed, We then went into the soft play area cost £4 per child adult £1 , your in there for a hour, the children had a lovely time, my only complaint is they were not allowed to leave the soft play area for a drink as if they did they wouldn’t be allowed back in,
