Resturant was closed due to a flood so we had fish and chips in the car . My hubbys fish was really dry so he couldnt eat it , chips was nice . Scampi wasnt as nice as in the restustant .

Delicious fresh fish and chips, beautifully cooked!

Called in while on a shopping trip to Selby with our grandson for takeaway fish and chips. Although it was busy we were served fairly quickly and did not have to wait too long for piping hot fish and chips. Fair sized portion and plenty of chips. Staff were friendly

Really nice chips. Veggie and vegan options available every day but Tuesday. On Tuesday gluten free is available. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Had not booked and walked in to a very full bustling restaurant. I asked a member of staff if they had a free table and even though one was just being vacated they put us on a table that was already clean and set with a reserve sign on it. They then cleared and prepared the other table for the reserve table. Well impressed with the quick thinking. I am so glad that we all ordered the small portions of our various dishes. The portions and HUGE. We could have fed a small army. It was all very lovely and very tasty. Great staff who certainly look after their customers.

The large fish isn't as large as I would like. However, I'm unsure if this is related to the size of fish these days. I wonder how small a medium would be. It's all cooked perfectly, not too greasy, and the peas and curry sauce are perfect.

Shocking service, blonde haired waitress was incredibly rude when I asked her a simple question, ignorant staff and will be getting in touch for serious action against this waitress. Absolutely appalled.

Absolutely brilliant the finest chips ever

Had a take out fish and chips here, once a week for the last 6 weeks. Never fails to impress and much better than the one we had at Trenchers in Whitby last weekend. Highly recommend, and they have a restaurant too, but not pet friendly, so we eat on the tables outside. Great while the weather is fine, car otherwise.

We ordered a large fish which was the smallest we’d ever had. We ordered a small and a large chips and both were the exact same portion size but we had been charged extra for large. Very disappointing won’t be coming back.

opted for Fish and chips, children fish and chips, chicken nuggets and chips, potato scallops, Irish curry sauce and fresh made tartare. All delicious, great portion size. Tartare sauce was best we have tasted. All requests followed. Excellent

A bit wary with recent reviews but about no need to be. Excellent fish and chips, piping hot and decent portions. Really tasty batter on chunky haddock, chips from new potatoes but very well cooked. Mushy peas not bad either. Service excellent, friendly and efficient. Only slight complaint is no ability to add tip when paying by card. A lot of places do and must be affecting the ladies tips. Especially for those of us who don’t carry cash these days. No complaints about the food or experience though. Very good value too!

The attitude of the staff is horrendous the food is average and the wait is long. Terrible.

There’s a lot to be said about customer service here this is none absolutely obnoxious and poor food I’m revolted

Ordered a large fish and not much bigger than the normal fish Ordered a jumbo sausage and got 2 x tiny sausages Ordered curry sauce and when collecting got told they had no curry sauce (why take the order if you don’t have any?) Food was nice but won’t be rushing back!

Awful truly awful, The fish was well overcooked,you couldn’t chew it,the frier needs training, Cold chips,all in all an awful meal, We will not be returning,how you win awards is beyond me

Not very helpful. Didn't have what we wanted and weren't prepared to make it.walked out and went elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the food was cold so most of it got thrown away. I also thought it was more expensive than it needed to be as I live alone but had to order more than I can eat because the minimum order level is too much for one person. I am 72 and disabled and don't have transport so need food delivered. I shan't order from here again.

Ordered food to be delivered at a specific time and it arrived 30 minutes early. By the time all family was home our order was not fresh, a bit soggy and lukewarm. If you are permitting customers to select their own delivery times, then please make sure you adhere to it… otherwise what is the point of offering it?

Ordered at 4.45 online for 5.30pm delivery. At 5.43 phoned as app said it had been delivered. I was told it had just been wrapped and would be with us in 6 minutes. Phoned at 5.56 and asked if the food would still be hot and whe it would be delivered. I was told it was in the hot cabinet and would be with us in 30 seconds. 9 minutes later at 6.05 my wife looked at the bag which said with brown bag which had not been delivered with multiple sauces and drinks for grandson. I phoned at 6.06 asked for refund to be told I needed to have my card so I said I would phone back when we finished. The food was only warm, certainly not hot so wasted money on 5 jumbo haddock and remaining foor for our usa visitors. Worst service we have ever received. Late only warm food with items missing. So 6 phone calls to sort our meal which was poor at best. Hmmm less than impressed today

Lovely Fish & Chips, nice sized portions but beware if you haven’t ordered prior to collection. You can end up feeling a little ignored as they serve customers calling in for orders as a priority. Suppose order in advance is the answer but on first visit you can feel a bit overlooked. Quality of food: 10/10 Portion size: 10/10 Prices: 10/10 Customer service: 8/10

Can I just ask , I visit every week and absolutely love the fish n chips however this is the second time I’ve been this week and the fish is getting small ? What’s happening it’s disappointing as fish and chips are not cheap .

Ordered kids £4.50 sausage and chips meal. Sausage was cold and chips were over cooked, tough and probably red heated from the day before. Really disappointed. Straight in the bin! Won't be visiting again. Best fish and chip shop in Yorkshire. I don't think so!! 👎🏻

Good chippy which is locally rated. Has won awards in the past. Takeaway and sit-in available. Food is always good. Service is good too.

Visited during a day trip to Selby and having read previous reviews I have to agree, the best fish and chips we've had. Lovely restaurant/atmosphere, really friendly staff and food arrived extremely quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely visit again and would highly recommend.

Don't get delivery, tried fish and chips delivered, never again. 2 hours from placing the order to delivery and the food had been stood for awhile, it was still warm but you can just tell. Normally its excellent

Mister C's has a nice environment with friendly staff. There is a restaurant with a great table service and the waiters are friendly. The business can take walk-in orders and online orders from the app or just eat.

My fish and chips were by far the best I have ever had we live in Doncaster and was well worth the trip

I have had food from here before and it was always good, but this time I am afraid it was pretty much cold even though I was told it had just left the shop maybe the driver gave it a tour around so it was well travelled for me. This then meant the batter was going rubbery chips soggy and to top it all off got the wrong flavour kids drink which my little girl hates. I get the feeling they don't want to do the delivery anymore.

In our opinion this is the best fish and chip shop in the country. Always lovely fresh fish, cooked to perfection and chips always beautifully cooked. Everything fresh from the fryer. The most fantastic fish and chip shop. Well worth the visit!

The last few times I've been here have been somewhat disappointing, the fish seems to not be as good as it once was. It's very expensive, as are most places these days, but I think I'll be trying other fish shops in the area. As they are plentiful. It's a shame as I really rated this place as one of the best. Sadly not any more .

Advertised on Google as Open on Sundays. Arrived after a 45 minute drive to shop shut.

Visited the restaurant on a very busy Friday night before Christmas, there was 8 of us, the restaurant was extremely busy. We were seated straight at our table, the staff were very friendly, we got menus and ordered our food, the food arrived promptly and none of us were disappointed, no surprises this is an award winning fish shop the food was amazing not one of us could fault any of it, beautiful food and amazing service would definitely recommend, worth a visit, excellent value for money we will be returning in the near future it’s a thumbs up from us.

I had a meal with my family just before Christmas and I must say the food was excellent we had fish chips and a portion of peas which was a generous enough portion to share also bread and butter tea and a fruit shoot. My granddaughter spilled her drink and Stacey our waitress replaced it immediately free of charge. The service was very good as usual. We go every week and I must say they certainly keep their standards up.

Great food... big portions... and amazing workers. Multiple charging ports and free wifi... and a car park across the street. Great atmosphere and decor. Good selection of meals and drinks. Overall, a great place to get a nice meal with family or alone.

The fish & chips were lovely really hot and tasty. I know it gave the length of time which we would be waiting for delivery, but it was a little too long to be waiting for them. But that said overall we really enjoyed them! thank you

Opted to eat in, lovely welcoming staff. Had fish chips mushy peas bread and butter and pot of tea, massive portion, lovely crispy batter and flaky fish. Perfect chips and proper mushy peas. Lovely , great price definitely come again.

Pre ordered and paid using, simple to use, App. Ready bang on time. Great fish, chips, peas and scollops. Nom nom nom. Just been back AGAIN, still awesome.

Ordered the food and confirmed at 16.45 for delivery at 18.00. The order was confirmed for 18.20 at 18.40 the ordered still asnt been delivered. Using the app I made a enquiry on my order to be then told it was late and would be delivered at 19.00. Had to ring the restaurant to be told it was on its way 15mins later it arrived. Ordered a large fish and chips and a fish and chips there was no difference in size of the fish. This is not good customer service.

Chips were cold. Received wrong order. 20 minutes late. Never again.

A nice little restaurant, not too big, serving lovely fish and chips and the Irish curry is a must.

The order took 1 hour and 50 minutes to arrive even though the estimated time was 1hr to 1hr 15. We wouldn’t have ordered if we knew it would take this long.

Always great fish and chips. Shame it is always so busy. Great that they now offer dedicated vegan menu too with quite a few options (fish, varions nuggets, sausages, pies etc) and the vegan chips are fried separately too. Used the online ordering system a few times now - that is also great, really quick and simple.

Got a "Special fish" it's been a while since I've been in a chip shop and it was quite a suprise when I only got £2.40p change from a tenner. The fish was very nice, the price and suprise was not.... lol
