Mirage 2 Diner in Bromley

First time visiting and it certainly won’t be the last. Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and hot. Service was fantastic and very quick. We came here as a recommendation and now we highly recommend too. Thank you so much!

Have been going here regularly for last few months, we bring our young children too, Lisa and Amber are excellent and always make dinner times with our children extra special with their help. Great food, Great value and the staff are always exceptional. Thank you!

Great service great food at an affordable price

Love coming here for breakfast or lunch with friends and family.The food is always great especially the “hangover breakfast” and sandwiches . The staff are so accommodating and friendly. Will be coming back again soon.

Excellent breakfast, bacon slightly overdone but nothing major. Will definitely order again.

Nice cafe! But.... a bit hit and miss. Some hot foods are good, and some are very standard. Today we came in to share a dessert - The Mount Mirage dessert for 2. All of it was a bit lack lustre! couldn't taste the chocolate brownies, and no differentiation between the custard, cream and ice cream. Not enough chocolate sauce either. In short this place is ok if you are hungry, and the servers are nice.

Great little cafe. Staff were friendly, prices reasonable. Staff great with the kids. One order was incorrect but was rectified quickly.

Love this place. As are many establishments in Chislehurst this place is dog friendly and does a number of fantastic breakfasts. I love the lunches too, the steak and kidney pudding is really filling and my wife loves the fluffy jacket potatoes.

Food was served quick and hot loverly staff not pricey for a decent nice decor inside nice memorabilia on walls to make a nice atmosphere would def return again

Really friendly service. Efficient too. Wide range of "diner" food from all day breakfasts to burger & chips to Sunday Roast. Fresh Orange juice squeezed on demand. Toilets clean. Prices reasonable. Parking outside or in the nearby car park (pay by app). If you're on the large side you might find the booths for seating a little tight. Definitely popular when visited.

Older guy with grey hair took our order. He was very pleasant but disgustingly filthy. Food all down his clothes and filthy finger nails. Staff were pleasant but no way will we be going back there. Steer clear. Was hoping for much better things there! Think they need a hygiene visit!!

Lovely clean place good selection of food from burgers to pie veg with choice of potatoes to steak. food was tasty. Laid out like an American diner inside.

Ordered a burger here on Sunday Feb 11, the burger wasnt fully cooked I’m sitting in a triage center puking my guts out sick as a dog. Please learn how to cook a burger, buyer beware.

Always a great breakfast and was marginally more expensive than McDonald's. Salt beef was incredible! Portion size bang on. Pancakes where the best.

Love the American Diner atmosphere with neon trinkets and music videos on TV. Amazing opening hours and top notch food - especially desserts.

Food and coffee was horrible. Avoid

Unfortunately 3 times we've ordered a halloumi wrap and it's come with chicken. It says either or. Please update to just be a chicken and halloumi wrap or please check more carefully. I enjoy ordering from here, but this is frustrating.

Had to walk out and leave the food, couldn’t eat it. The brick lane bagel is definitely mis sold, nothing like one, was like minced beef that come out cold, got sent back but was just microwaved and sent back. Then it was dry and inedible. Kids smiley faces were Peppa pig faces, not an issue except they were a dirty brown colour where they had been fried dirty oil, absolutely disgusting. Hash browns were the same, only nice thing was the toast. Staff were friendly but food was disgusting. Won’t be going there again.

Not sure about the stupid reviews saying that the dinner looked like a ‘dogs dinner’ as it’s a ‘greasy spoon’ so it’s not the place to visit if you’re a snob & want ‘A La Carte’ & eat from silver cutlery! I have been using Mirage for many years now! Very friendly staff, great prices & lovely hearty food! Would recommend a visit if you’re in a Chislehurst.

They use frozen food and warm it up. Very low quality food. Cannot recommend this place at all. The food is definitely not in healthy range.

Very much an old-skool English style diner, with all the usual favourites - jacket potatoes, omelettes, burgers, breakfasts etc. Service very friendly and laid back, good sized portions and good value but food was quite cold, especially my vegetarian burger. I’d like to see more in the menu for vegans aside from salads and if they had egg mayonnaise as an option for sandwiches, jacket potatoes etc., that would offer more variety for vegetarians as I love jacket potatoes but don’t like beans and can’t tolerate dairy. Overall not a bad place for a cheap breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Breakfast was nice, ordered a frankfurter burger, literally a frankfurter turned up in a burger bun with sauce? (Cost more than a hamburger) so thought it would come with a actual burger inside.

Absolutely love this place. The food from breakfast through to lunch, dinner and dessert is amazing as are the staff who always go out their way to help however they can.

The staff in Mirage 2 are absolutely fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious.

Food is okay however the service is extremely slow and they even forgot one of our order! The table wasn't the cleaniest either. There was sauce and crumbs everywhere from the previous customers which the waitress didn't even clean and just sat as down like that. Due to this all I do not recommend this place.

A lovely, independent oasis in the middle of Chislehurst. A warm, authentic welcome and quick service. We only had coffees this time, but a return visit will be made as the menu items looked tasty - and reasonably priced.

I don’t normally publish bad reviews of businesses as if I’ve had a bad experience, I’d prefer to deal with the business direct themselves and give them the benefit of the doubt. However, the experience I had this morning was awful. I ordered the American pancakes and requested the fresh fruit on top. The menu advised the pancakes were £5.95 and the fruit on top £1.40 extra. It did not stipulate a choice of fruit and the waiter did not ask me what fruit I wanted. The pancakes arrived with banana, blueberries and strawberries on top. When it came to payment, the female behind the till asked for £10. I advised this must be wrong due to the above and the female said it was £1.40 per fruit item. I advised that I was not given a choice of fruit and the menu did not advise this either, it was just a collective ‘top with fresh fruit’. The female was extremely rude basically blaming the issue on me and was reluctant to charge me the amount that the items should have been. This service at the end of the meal was a real shame as the waiter had been friendly and bubbly and this could have been an issue very easily sorted by the business accepting a miscommunication issue with their menu. In addition to this, there was probably about 3 slices of banana and strawberry and about 3 blueberries on each of the 3 pancakes so I feel £1.40 per item of fruit is extortionate.

Salad was lovely. If the bread was thinner it would make the sandwich much better. It felt like there was too much bread which made the bacon feel skimpt which it wasn't. So personally thinner bread would be better. Birds got 50% of the bread.

Had lunch with friends on Thursday 9th. The waiter was great. Very funny and also very attentive. There's an extensive menu and the food was very good.

Wanted a lunch with a difference. Stumbled across Mirage. Warm welcome. Help with menu choices. Really interesting Mediterranean options. Portions on the generous side. Despite this we managed to clear our plates!

Having a great time with my family and Mrs all through the near future hopefully without needing to go anywhere as I pray we have a building that resembles the establishment not too far away. Ordering a tea but a pleasant wow of the biscuit milskshake had me order. With the chicken waffle that had me intrigued to try but never was disappointed with decorated syrup. I will continue to tell my Mrs we need to return and with that being said I will recommend going here with your family as the environment was friendly for kids I guess.

My partner and I visited Mirage2 over the weekend for our first time and was greeted with a pleasant smile and informed on the history of the Mirage2 family owned and was made to feel welcome with amazing tasty food! Will be visiting again asap!

If you want the best experience at this cafe . Go when it's not busy ! If they're busy they don't seem to have the staff capable of serving all the costumers fast enough. So food is rushed. Chips undercooked etc. They "forget" to bring you your beverages. Because when you have only one person making all the beverages for a full cafe. Along with also taking payments etc. Its a lot to do for one person. So things get missed/forgotten Otherwise if youre there when it's quiet . Food is amazing. Everything comes on time etc. Staff is always nice Regardless of how busy they are. Honestly I don't have a true "complaint" about this cafe. It's more of an observation!! If staff get overwhelmed it's not their fault ! They still try their best to give a good service !

+ Sweet Potato Fries ; over cooked. I think yhey had been kept warm for a long time. .

Don't ask for Brown sauce if you want HP as it is cheap rubbish in a HP bottle.

I really like this place, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the menu and food is always spot on. I've been coming here since it first opened, but sadly I don't come here as often since I moved to the Bexleyheath area. I had mushroom omelette, chips, and salad and 2 cups of flat white coffee which sure hit the spot

First time visiting this cafe food was good waiter was lovely we did'nt feel rushed the waiter was more than happy to leave my friend and myself to have an extra cuppa while we had a long overdue catch-up, will definitely be coming back.

I originally wanted steak & kidney pie but I was told by phone that it wasn't available so I requested jacket potato with chilli con carne which is cheaper than steak & kidney pie but I have been charged for that rather than the jacket potato meal

Great bacon sandwich and great sausage sandwich. The bread was lovely. Service was good too but the coffee was a bit bitter tasting.
