Fresh food, very clean restaurant, polite staff.

Just went to Cockfosters for a little bit of groundhopping, Cockfosters v Tring in some cup. Stepped out if the station and we were a little bit hungry. Saw this place and decided to go in, and boy am I lucky we did! It looked like a great menu, but I fancied a burger and the plate that came in was just enormous. And when dug into it, it was magic. I think I have to say, this was teh best burger I've had in years. Nice staff contributed to the top rating and if I ever come back to Cockfosters, I'll be back at this place!

I’m here all the time but never left a review until now, but the food and service here is always outstanding! Banging chicken salad and scrambled eggs, the fresh mint tea was a level above the usual morning beverage!

This is the second visit as a family of 4, each time the food and experience has been first class, It’s so lovely to receive great food, lovely staff and big portions and great value for money which is rare in the current economic climate! Thank you, again, we will be back 😬

We have been going to miracles for many years and have always loved the food despite the busy atmosphere and loud music. Today we ordered our usual and it arrived very quickly which shocked us as it usually takes longer to come. While we were eating we thought the chicken tasted like it had been reheated. We both now have very upset stomachs and have been housebound for the rest of the day. We put two and two together- abnormally quick and tasted reheated.... I just wanted to leave this review in case they have changed the way they do something and don't realize it's making people unwell.

A bunch experience that is all round enjoyable with excellent service and a large selection. Prefect for a family who all want different things.

An overpriced breakfast. Portions have become much smaller. The American breakfast offers 3 small sized pancakes with a sausage and 1 egg for 12.50. Eggs Florentine is offered with 1 small muffin. Most dishes are over £10. A family of 4 adults and 2 children paid £110 for breakfast. The room we sat was very noisy and we couldn't hear ourselves speak. The tea was cold. Overall I would choose not to have breakfast there again as it's not value for money and not the best atmosphere.

I'd never been to Cockfosters before. Popped in for a coffee - then saw the macarons - so I ordered them and they were delicious. I walked around Trent Country Park for a couple of hours, then came back to the restaurant and had a lovely open sandwich. The staff were very amenable about substituting honey for pesto! And the ladies toilets were far better than most cafes and restaurants I've been to lately!

Went for breakfast. Booked a table but there was no need as it was an early week day. There were 2 other tables and got a little busier as the morning progressed. The breakfasts were very good. High quality ingredients, cooked well and served with a smile and a slice of passion fruit and grapefruit added that little bit extra. The food tasty and satisfying. The breakfasts not that much more than less-well presented plates, but drinks such as juices and coffees really added to the overall bill. We visited here, as it was advertised as a good gluten free restaurant and a member of the family has a gluten intolerance. We all had a great breakfast, but the reason for 4* and not 5* is that in reality some elements of the breakfast that could be gluten free aren’t. The only gluten free replacement was the bread. Thankfully, most breakfast items do not contain gluten , but items on the menu such as sausages and pancakes were not available as gluten free. We had a great meal and will return, but it was a but disappointing that the offer did not match the advertisement.

I think it’s the best idea to go for breakfast, lunch, dinner always fresh and big portions high recommended 💥

This cafe / restaurant has always been consistently good. I've visited many times over the years and at different times, and the meals have always been spot on. The service is always friendly and food is delivered promptly. It has a choice of indoor and and out door seating and also bigger tables for groups. Highly recommend to all age groups.

Very annoyed as the meat lasagna virtually no meat in it at all. The staff were uncooperative to do anything about it. No responsibility taken. There was no fresh air circulating inside restaurant causing me discomfort. They refused to leave the door open even though the weather was good to do so. So blasé and dumb acting & not performing duties with due care and skill.

Miracles is one of my local go to places. The waiters are all friendly, value for money and nice food. Would definitely recommend.

So disappointed . Came here for a birthday brunch with a friend today . Initially service was fast. Nice mint tea and coffee . ..Ordered eggs florentine , friend had veggie breakfast . Whilst it was nicely presented , sadly it started and ended there …Veggie breakfast was a frozen deep fried veggie stick and frozen hash browns .mushrooms had zero taste . It was beyond bland (even after I seasoned pepper on the food) not to make a fuss , I just wanted to pay the bill and leave . Trying to get any one’s attention after - was all of a sudden hard to come by. Finally managed to ask the same waitress for the bill . She took our plates and hadn’t asked how the food was or if everything was okay ..( despite us leaving over half the food) Never had to leave a negative review. But shocking to add a service charge onto the bill ,But avoided to give a good service. Won’t be back.

Been here a few times and I always leave with a smile! The service and staff are always inviting, the place is a gorgeous place to be, and more importantly the food never disappoints. This time round I got the American Pancakes which was amazing. There is a good vegetarian selection which is hard to find in most places. Definitely would recommend!

I ordered the Chicken Salad. Chicken was cooked to perfection, the salad with the dish was horrible, which was a shame as I was looking forward that part of the meal, the dressing you could tell was out of a plastic bottle. The man behind the counter kept staring at me, and looked grumpy if a customer requested a specific table which I found uncomfortable.

Absolutely incredible place to stop by and get a bite to eat. The restaurants decor was incredible, the atmosphere was nice and felt expensive and the toilet facilities were top notch. The food was absolutely incredible. I only got a portion of curly fries and that was enough to make me full. Portion sizes are incredible and the taste is top notch. Everything seems fresh. Great parking in the area however no charging ports. Don't let that be a reason to miss this incredible place though. 10/10

The food here is lush. I went for the goats cheese salad with a side of curly fries, my sons had the HLT and Belgium waffles which they both enjoyed.

We came here for dinner on Monday 12th February 2024 to celebrate my husband's sixty fourth birthday. We had been to St Albans during the day and got off the bus in Cockfosters. I had chicken wings and teriaky salmon,hubby had the mushrooms and then a burger. The set menu is very good value(£21.95 two course),£24.95 three course. We couldnt fit in dessert on this occassion! The portions are very generous!

I would definitely recommend this place to come to Miracles is such a beautiful restaurant and delicious food. I had American pancakes for breakfast and I really enjoyed it. The service is extremely outstanding and they make you feel very welcome and it’s a great atmosphere.

Came here at around 11am for a coffee a few days ago. My friend and I were rudely told we could only stay if we ordered food otherwise we'd have to vacate our table and leave. We promptly left and went to Middeys a few doors down who were more than happy to accommodate us for a coffee despite being busy. Not sure what's changed at Miracles but I've been there for just a coffee in the past so it's a shame that they blatantly showed that all they care about is making money over customer experience. Will never be returning.

We’ve wanted to come here for a while. Nice restaurant, helpful staff. Food is meh (sorry). Bean burger (not home made) with a side of coleslaw, onion rings and I asked for hash browns. Packets of pre-made food put together. Nothing particularly special. Lemonade and fresh mint drink was yum. Fella order the Mediterranean grill (wings, meatballs, kebabs etc) side of rice and salad. A big plate of food - it was nice not amazing.

We had a Christmas dinner with colleagues, and we enjoyed it.

We went here as a large group for our office Christmas party and it was honestly faultless, everything was so good. The restaurant is decorated nicely with plenty of parking in front or around the side roads with a small walk. The staff are very friendly and professional and the food and drinks are very tasty, also the portions are quite large! I'll definitely be returning soon and i'd recommend this restaurant for any occasion, from a casual eat to a special occasion, one of those few places that can cater for anybody and everybody.

I got Bison Envy burger. It is really under seasoned. Very dry burger. No flavour at all. Definitely not worth the price. The curly fries and onion ring were nice.

It was a wonderful experience, definitely deserves 5 stars! The food was fresh, well made and delicious. A special thanks to the friendly staff who looked after us during our dinner.

Birthday Breakfast treat with solid set and build your own brunches. Wife loves the Egg Benedict but opted for the Royal and I'm happy with the ample Brunch .

Diner for the family was a happy and relaxed affair my children were not there quietest behaviour, but the waitresses served us with a smile and good humour. Miracles has a nice feel to the place and it helps that the food is always very good. The Lasagna was fabulous and large, the Curly fries delighted the children. Would recommend dinner and the breakfast. It won’t be long before I try the lunch. Lovely place , lovely staff.

I’m from Sydney and I discovered this little Gem by accident. The food was the best I’ve had for a long time. I shall be returning. Nice to see respectful staff.

Poor chefs, simple menu. Should have stay home and made it myself! Go elsewhere for a nicer brunch! I used to really like this place but this morning when I came in (Sunday morning) they said they no longer do french toast on the weekends. I asked them why and they said they don't have the mixture ready on the weekends. Weird, since that would be their busiest times? I suggested that all it takes is eggs and milk and that seems too tricky for the chef to whip up! I also wanted a mimosa and they don't have it on their menu.

I had king prawns and salmon salad for lunch yesterday, and a lovely iced frappe. The salad was absolutely delicious and good quantity. The iced frappe was so tasty I had two. The service was great and staff super friendly. This has been my second visit to this restaurant and I definitely will be visiting it in near future.

Been coming here for years but today was a real disappointment. The food was very average and tasteless. I ordered the Angus beef burger and it really was bland and tasteless. In addition the waitress was the moodiest waitress I have encountered. She didn’t smile once when we asked for certain items to be bought to the table. My son asked her for salt and she came back and placed it on the furthest point on his table in which he struggled to reach it. Basic manners cost nothing. Doubt I will come here again. Only interesting part of the atmosphere was a couple sitting opposite me on a first date. Was very interesting hearing how this new online app dating works. Haha

Classy and welcoming-looking eaterie with plenty of kerb appeal and outdoor tables, this place definitely feels more "restaurant/bistro" than coffee shop and is maybe underselling themselves with the word "café". Food was very well-presented, tasty, hot and flavoursome. Staff were pleasant and attentive and we were served quickly. It has a Mediterranean, slightly art deco feel to the interior design which I love, beautiful black granite/marble in the bathrooms and the outdoor rattan chairs were surprisingly comfortable thanks to the firmly padded cushions, so you don't feel you want to leave quickly or suffer with the usual achy bum cheeks while shuffling from side to side. We had eggs benedict with smoked salmon, omelette with fries, caramel churros and chocolate fondant plus wine and beer for 3 people and spent little over £60 for a relaxing late lunch, which we felt was reasonable and definitely worth it for the quality and atmosphere. Would love to go back for a special occasion or evening.

Overpriced for basic food, paid £9.90 for one piece of sourdough bread with avocado, halloumi, lettuce with tomatoes. Staff engaged in conversation and didn’t take much notice of the customers seated. Manager appeared rude and in his own world, brought food over trying to place the dish without moving my coffee out of the way and almost knocking it. Charged further £2.79 service charge and got very little service. Don’t waste your time or money here, not worth it.

Go to spot for brunch. Everything on the menu is great.

I have walked past many times and thought I would try out lunch there with a friend. I ordered the Caesar salad and honestly the only good thing about it was the salad. The chicken was indeed plentiful but thin slices which were very tough and dry. I had the same dish at Botanika in Barnet at the weekend and whilst their salad was pretty boring their chicken was deliciously succulent. If there was any parmesan on the salad I could not find it and instead of croutons there was one grissini type stick of average length which was lovely but only one? My friend had their Club sandwich and thought it was ok. I gave her some of my chicken, as there was so much of it and she remarked straight away how tough it was. A shame. The service was okay but had to go in search of a member of staff to order a green tea at the end of the meal as no one came round to check if we needed anything further after the meal was served.

Great venue close to transport links. Food and service great highly recommended.

went there tonight with a friend it was lovely i had the salad with the chicken the chicken was chargrilled did not like it much but i did love the salad and milk shake my friend had the salmon very nice service good the waitress was lovely with black bodded hair very nice overall will hope to visit again

Absolutely amazing restaurant. My grandpa would take my wife, kids and I here before he passed away. We all have very fond memories here with him and to topmitnoff, the food is incredible 🙂

Grate place good food lovely vibe

We went for light dinner, had hummus , spicy chicken , chicken Kebab and Blue Cocktail. Service and decor was really good. Sausages5 were beef and No pork options. We were given complimentary warm bread with olives and cottage cheese. The restrooms were very neat and tidy.

Nice food , and presentation ...but it was expensive

My cousin took me to this restaurant for dinner. We ordered inside which is beautiful, The outdoor dining area is gorgeous and the perfect spot to catch up with friends. The food was incredible! I had a club sandwich and my cousin had the spaghetti bolognese, the portions were HUGE! The wine was chilled to perfection and we chose the doughnuts to enjoy for dessert. Simply lush.

Food was delicious and the people managing this eatery are very good! There is a huge menu for whatever you are in the mood for and they even let you to build your own breakfast. I randomly found this place, when I was in the area but I will most definitely be back very soon

While in cockfosters with my family, I had to stop here to have lunch . They did not disappoint! My Duck salad was fresh, had a generous portion of slices tender duck and was simply delicious! Certainly want to stop by this place again!!

I don’t often give reviews, but this cafe deserved it. 
The level and attentiveness of service and staff was over the top. Even if the food had not been so damn fantastic the service would have necessitated its own 5 star rating. 
I strongly recommend the Lord of the bun or Lasagne. I can’t wait to return again.

Day time it has a few customers evenings zero more staff than customers why food is poor staff are unhappy and unhygienic. Coffee can't call it coffee very sour watery taste food no flavour owner is known for being a cheap man with zero class. Needs updating at the moment service is bad

Stopped for a flat white at the morning. Got a very weak coffee, have my doubts it was made with double expresso. Service quite poor as well. Waiters didn't bother to ask if I want to drink it in or take with me and reached straight away for a plastic cup, which I really don't think is right to do.

Great place to eat, serves classic type food but with a sophisticated touch to it. The atmosphere is lovely, service is great and the staff and friendly. It is a 2 minute walk from Cockfosters station so you can get a train in if you don’t drive there. Expect the place to be slightly busy than your usual to eat

Miracles is like a well oiled machine. The food is excellent, the staff are wonderful greeting everyone with a smiling face. Other restaurant owners could learn a lot about how to run a restaurant seamlessly.

This place has gone downhill! My £13 Angus burger consisted of 3 quarters of beef! When I asked the manager about it he said “It’s the meat, it falls apart”. I can only conclude your meat is of poor quality. We were then charged for a 3 course meal when we had a 2 course meal. The manager rectified this with a poor attitude, no apology, nothing. He came over and said abruptly “Where’s the bill!?” If he is a manager then he needs sacking. Maybe the place was empty at peak time 18:00-20:00 because of the poor service from him. The other 2 staff were lovely. I really do hope the owner reads this review. My evening was disappointing, my burger fell apart and your manager has no customer service skills, only to those who spoke his language. I will not be returning to this place. Look at how the salmon was presented! Shoddy presentation.

I ordered a salmon with broccoli and potatoes. one piece of salmon was missing with no flavour. The worst salmon I ever had. Service was unprofessional especially the manager was rude. Would definitely not recommend to friends and family

We go to miracles about once a month to meet our son. The staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. The pricing offers good value especially when the quality is noted. The chef is excellent producing a wide range of meals that are very well cooked and presented and speedily delivered. We always have a great experience when we visit. The layout and furnishings are stylish and comfortable. The toilets are clean and modern. Would thoroughly recommend a visit and I look forward to when we go again.

Went for my sisters birthday. The staff are very friendly, the restaurant and the facilities are very clean. We went as a group of 18 all our food came out at the same time and hot. Great evening. Parking is difficult.

A brilliant restaurant but it's like a one off restaurant as it will quite expensive and quite busy for the morning. The food was quality and I recommend the hot chocolate

We couldn’t decide on where to eat around Cockfosters then we noticed this very busy restaurant and agreed to try it. The food took extremely long to prepared. A table that came after us got the food first. The milkshake was average and I didn’t like my omelet. However they served very tasty curly fries. My main was about £13. Nice bustling place with standard service.

Went on a Sunday. Food was ok but not great quality. We didn’t get our change. It’s ok but wouldn’t rush back.

Came her for lunch with my work colleagues and it was lovely. Nice menu choices and very tasty food. The service was good too. I couldn't fault the place really.
