Kervan Sofrasi Restaurant in Enfield

Tried for the first time at this restaurant not the best experience.the service was very good and everyone seemed friendly, as it was our first time in a place like this we asked for some recommendations on the menu, not sure about the taste of the food, as it was super seasoned and very heavy for us. We also tried the traditional kunefe, terrible and arrived cold. Not even sweet enough.not worth it.

Used to be my fav place for breakfast but recently food portions and quality gone slightly down and prices gone dramatically up

Had an absolutely fantastic time in this place. Service perfect, meal perfect ,drinks perfect. Well, worth the drive coming here. I recommend this with 2 thumbs up👌🏾

Drove past kervan so many times and was tempted with how nice this place looks. Today, I finally got round to trying it and was quite disappointing. Unfortunately, the place was so unorganised everyone everywhere, dirty tables and the floors, lack of care or attention for customers, the cutlery was dirty, the food was mediocre, nothing to rave a about. I've had better and much cheaper price too. Wasn't worth which is quite disappointing.

It's a really nice place with good service. Well, they have mixed breakfast service in the morning. successful delicious.

Honestly the service is so bad, you’re better off going to haringey and eating there. Workers have no clue what they’re doing, poor host doesn’t know how sit people down. We came as a family and best believe they didn’t even bother asking if we were okay or how many people we were, told us to sit anywhere and when we choose a table they told us no? maybe tell us which table is available. Food was average like i said you’re better off going Gokyuzu or Hala. I, myself work in a turkish restaurant chain which has multiple branches like in haringey and we at least know how to take care of customers to the best standard which kervan lacks. Rolling their eyes constantly and making huff noises when we ask something which is crazy and disrespectful. Don’t waste your money here and go somewhere else.

Amazing food however maybe we went during a busy day so had to wait quite a long time before we got seated. Our food took about 40 mins to arrive after that but it was all worth the wait. The mean was juicy, tender and cooked just right. Over all I would definitely recommend this place as long as it’s not too busy

I've come here many times before and as usual I'm not disappointed. The food was great. What I mean by great is 10/10. The customer service was the best I've ever experienced. The names I would like to highlight are 'Sayed' because of his kindness, generosity, and his perfect customer service. Just Sayeds vibe made the whole restaurant great. Another person who I would like to highlight is 'Bekir' because of his great customer service and kindness.

To expensive know not like ol time

Price it’s very expensive for the food the serve on the platter £72 there is not meat at all half it’s rice shame,plus u are charging for service charge….not coming there anymore it’s not worth it for the price u charge the atmosphere it’s not great.

In one word, it cannot be described as disgusting, but it was disgusting, we ordered the food, it arrived 2 and a half hours later, cold as ice, and the meat was a disgrace. It was burnt. We paid £113. Even £0 is more than £0. Even 1 star is too much for you. The only place of taste is Diyarbakir Haringay. I definitely recommend it.

A super place for great eater! We ordered large meze Karvan extra special. Portion was big enough for 8 of us. Unable to finish! Gonna pack and take out the unfinished. Delicious for the mixed meat, lamb, beef and chicken as well! Grilled till the best texture. None of the part meat were burn. I likesbthe salad as well. Wah La! Mints tea is good for refreshing so does the apple tea

I can’t believe I’ve lived nearby for four years and have never been here. The service is beyond spectacular and the food is great. With fair prices and fantastic food you can’t go wrong. They are also amazing with families. Five stars.

The food was okay with generous portions and they serve free salad and bread. Service was just at an average level, could be improved. There was one staff who had a very long ponytail dangerously touching the food when she served. Space is so cramped you need to squeeze in to get to your seat. Also, the seats need to be refurbished as they were looking so grubby.

Disgusting food. Wrap tastes like you are eating a cardboard, it’s dry and small, with absolutely no sauce inside! The place itself is very loud and chaotic.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Kervan for seven years, but my recent visit was nothing short of appalling. It pains me to write this, but I feel compelled to share my experience. From the moment my meal arrived, it was evident that something was off. The food tasted as though it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The dishes were extremely burnt — a clear indication of negligence. However, the most shocking part was the grilled tomatoes. They were served ice cold, as if they hadn’t even been placed in the microwave. This was a major red flag, suggesting the use of old, reheated food. Upon bringing this to the attention of the staff, I was met with indifference. Despite the obvious issues, we were still charged the full bill without any compensation or sincere apology. This experience has truly tarnished the reputation of a place I once adored. I’m extremely disappointed and hope they reassess their quality control and customer service. Until significant changes are made, I will be reluctant to return.

Hi I would just like to say that I very enjoyed the food and service today.I would like to highlight the name 'Sayed' because he was very kind, helpful, friendly and he was a good person. Additionally Sayed made the restaurants atmosphere way better. We will always come back for Sayed and the food.

Too good to go with this place is heavily unreliable. I suggest you do not rely on this restaurant to supply any left overs on the app as it doesn't matter what time you buy they 99% will cancel your order on the app last minute

The Turkish breakfast was really nice, with plenty of food and fresh bread. We couldn’t even finish the breakfast for two. Everything was tasty and fresh, although some dishes, like the grilled vegetables, were served cold—we would have preferred them hot. The omelette wasn’t as firm as we like, but overall, I recommend this place. The staff are very friendly and even offer free tea and extra bread if you want. Definitely worth trying!

We went in impromptu on a busy Saturday evening at about 5.20pm for a family dinner to celebrate a 15th birthday. We were seated almost immediately. Service in general is super efficient and we thank Tizzy very much for his wonderful manner and for executing the service part of his role quickly and professionally. We got a jug of apple juice and the mixed platter to share for a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children, including a teenager. It was more than enough and absolutely delicious - meat, salad, bread, rice, chips, bulger - a variety with something for everyone :) Finished off with tea and a peppermint&lemon hot water which was a super way to digest the food. We will be back, hopefully with Tizzy to wait on us again!! :)

I have mixed feelings about our experience . Same things were ok but, others need a lot of some improvements. Our group arrived around 10 AM for breakfast. The restaurant had the front door open and inside it was very very cold. We tried seating away from the main door but we simply couldn't find any table away from the cold and draft. We ordered Turkish breakfast and the food was good overall. One incident that happened, I ordered filter coffee but I was brought expresso coffee instead. I asked them to change it and they brought again an expresso. At the same time, the coffee they were using was poor quality. The service was not great. There were plenty of servers around but it always took them ages to notice us whenever we needed . Overall I didn't feel very welcomed and I wouldn't return

Service is always excellent, have no complaints. Food could be better, sometimes it lacks flavour.

This place is already one of my favourite places, their Doner Kebab, is ace. The food is always excellent, and service is very, very good. What makes it extra special for me is that they are one of very few restaurants in the area who have enough space to have a conservatory area, where they allow customers to bring in their well behaved dogs. UPDATE: 30.12.2024! STILL GREAT!!! Food, Service and restaurant all top marks. 😋

I’ve been a regular at Kervan Southgate in the past, but sadly, the quality of food has really gone downhill. The bread was hard and stale, and the chicken was tough and rubbery—definitely not the fresh, flavorful meals I used to enjoy here. To top it off, they’re charging £7.40 for a beer, which feels overpriced for what’s supposed to be a casual dining experience. Really disappointing overall.

Best Turkish restaurant in London

Excellent place for Turkish food in North of London near Southgate tube station, delicious Grilled platters of chicken and lamb. Staff was courteous and polite, service was quick and food was lovely.

I normally order 3 - 4 times a week through Deliveroo, First time visiting the restaurant in Southgate. Amazing customer service, great food big portions highly recommended. Special thank you for (Ayse) She's one of the bestest waitress ive seen after longtime of my restaurants experience. ( Make sure You Try Manti ) 5 Star.

Food quality is always good there is no complain about , But about the staff they need to be train more about customer service in this country. They close at 12 we went 11:20 for dinner there After a long journey , they brought the food 11:37 But the staff told we should leave at 12 and 5 6 staff standing around our table to finish our we give you plate to leave at 12 , they brought the bill 5 mins after the food and took the payment And we were literally kicked out before 12 Very disappointing .

Unfortunately at over £7 a pint, I will not be returning.

La comida no era como antes, pido lam diner que venía muy frío y seco no disfrutamos en absoluto de lo único que quieren servir comida y dar su mesa al próximo cliente. Muy muy decepcionante por el dinero que te cobran.

My husband, son, and I visit here at least once a month, and it’s always an incredible experience. The food is absolutely delicious—so flavorful and satisfying. Our son, who’s usually a very picky eater, absolutely loves all the grilled dishes and enjoys them every time without hesitation. Every visit has been nothing short of amazing, with consistently great service and food. If you haven’t tried this place yet, it’s an absolute must!

Invited to a friend's birthday lunch. Bread, salad, hummus and tzatiki to start then a wonderful feast on a platter. Different cuts of chicken, lamb on rice, bulgur and bread. More than enough to go around. Birthday cake, baklava and Turkish tea to finish. Very enjoyable, excellent service.

Fui con mi marido a comer algo el lunes por la noche. El servicio solía ser muy bueno, pero se ha deslizado. Me senté y me dieron menús rápidamente. 4 chicos se quedaron hablando cerca de las cajas y nos siguieron mirando cuando habíamos elegido claramente como los menús estaban cerrados y de nuevo en la mesa. Finalmente vinieron y preguntaron qué queríamos. La comida de mi marido fue lo primero... Por unos 10 minutos. Estaba a mitad de camino antes de que llegara el mío. Tampoco se ofreció ninguna explicación. Esto nunca había pasado antes. En mi opinión, las comidas deben servirse juntas. Si hubiera habido un error, entonces debería haberse ofrecido una explicación. Cuando el mío finalmente llegó el salmón era encantador, sin embargo, el puré estaba frío como piedra y grumoso. Mi esposo también lo intentó y no podía creer lo malo que era. Ningún miembro del personal se acercó a nosotros y no pude llamar su atención, así que solo comí salmón y verdura y dejé toda la papa. Cuando vinieron a limpiar nuestros platos no preguntaron cómo estaba - literalmente recogieron los 2 platos mientras pasaban. Una verdadera lástima ya que hemos venido aquí años, pero los estándares no son los mismos.

Went on a Saturday night, very busy had to wait about 20 minutes as they don’t take bookings for less than 6 people. Free hoummous and salad for the table which was a nice touch. Food was tasty.

I went there on Saturday night, although it was a very busy night still they managed to serve the food quickly, service was good enough, the quality of the meat I ordered (lamb) was very chewy I am afraid

I feel you visit with the expectations of what is basically a fast food sit down restaurant. The service is very good and the staff are pleasant. At peak times it is very busy and extremely noisy. The tables are close together, almost back to back and I had the misfortune of sitting by the stairs which had constant traffic from guests and staff. The food is there to fill you up and is not the best but if you want to have large portions this is ideal. I'd recommend going at slow periods maybe mid week lunch and also avoiding the set meals.
