Excellent place for Turkish food in North of London near Southgate tube station, delicious Grilled platters of chicken and lamb. Staff was courteous and polite, service was quick and food was lovely.

I normally order 3 - 4 times a week through Deliveroo, First time visiting the restaurant in Southgate. Amazing customer service, great food big portions highly recommended. Special thank you for (Ayse) She's one of the bestest waitress ive seen after longtime of my restaurants experience. ( Make sure You Try Manti ) 5 Star.

Food quality is always good there is no complain about , But about the staff they need to be train more about customer service in this country. They close at 12 we went 11:20 for dinner there After a long journey , they brought the food 11:37 But the staff told we should leave at 12 and 5 6 staff standing around our table to finish our we give you plate to leave at 12 , they brought the bill 5 mins after the food and took the payment And we were literally kicked out before 12 Very disappointing .

Unfortunately at over £7 a pint, I will not be returning.

We only had Lahmacun takeaway. They were nice and big but the flavour not quite right.More worryingly I've had the runs the next day

La comida no era como antes, pido lam diner que venía muy frío y seco no disfrutamos en absoluto de lo único que quieren servir comida y dar su mesa al próximo cliente. My husband, son, and I visit here at least once a month, and it’s always an incredible experience. The food is absolutely delicious—so flavorful and satisfying. Our son, who’s usually a very picky eater, absolutely loves all the grilled dishes and enjoys them every time without hesitation. Every visit has been nothing short of amazing, with consistently great service and food. If you haven’t tried this place yet, it’s an absolute must!

They got my order wrong twice and cold. The food was 8.8 out if 10 .

Invited to a friend's birthday lunch. Bread, salad, hummus and tzatiki to start then a wonderful feast on a platter. Different cuts of chicken, lamb on rice, bulgur and bread. More than enough to go around. Birthday cake, baklava and Turkish tea to finish. Very enjoyable, excellent service.

We have ordered chicken doner. They must have changed the meat because it was very fat and far away from what they did before. Salad was poor looking. The service there is always great.

Fui con mi marido a comer algo el lunes por la noche. El servicio solía ser muy bueno, pero se ha deslizado. Me senté y me dieron menús rápidamente. 4 chicos se quedaron hablando cerca de las cajas y nos siguieron mirando cuando habíamos elegido claramente como los menús estaban cerrados y de nuevo en la mesa. Finalmente vinieron y preguntaron qué queríamos. La comida de mi marido fue lo primero... Por unos 10 minutos. Estaba a mitad de camino antes de que llegara el mío. Tampoco se ofreció ninguna explicación. Esto nunca había pasado antes. En mi opinión, las comidas deben servirse juntas. Si hubiera habido un error, entonces debería haberse ofrecido una explicación. Cuando el mío finalmente llegó el salmón era encantador, sin embargo, el puré estaba frío como piedra y grumoso. Mi esposo también lo intentó y no podía creer lo malo que era. Ningún miembro del personal se acercó a nosotros y no pude llamar su atención, así que solo comí salmón y verdura y dejé toda la papa. Cuando vinieron a limpiar nuestros platos no preguntaron cómo estaba - literalmente recogieron los 2 platos mientras pasaban. Went on a Saturday night, very busy had to wait about 20 minutes as they don’t take bookings for less than 6 people. Free hoummous and salad for the table which was a nice touch. Food was tasty.

We went for breakfast today. Everything was really fresh and delicious. The staff was very attentive. Thank you for this delicious breakfast.

I feel you visit with the expectations of what is basically a fast food sit down restaurant. The service is very good and the staff are pleasant. At peak times it is very busy and extremely noisy. The tables are close together, almost back to back and I had the misfortune of sitting by the stairs which had constant traffic from guests and staff. The food is there to fill you up and is not the best but if you want to have large portions this is ideal. I'd recommend going at slow periods maybe mid week lunch and also avoiding the set meals.

I went there on Saturday night, although it was a very busy night still they managed to serve the food quickly, service was good enough, the quality of the meat I ordered (lamb) was very chewy I am afraid

A very good Turkish restaurant with good food. My only criticism is that the restaurant was cold and I'm not sure if that's because of the staff standing in the middle area keep a door open for the delivery drivers.

Well guys ! Their breakfast is the their core item on the menu ! It’s never disappointing .. you will absolutely love it . I am not a big fan of their platters but I believe the good thing is go during the week not the weekends trust me

Had large platter £69.99 for take away and was not adequate to feed two adults and child. Portion size reduce but pricing remains high. I won’t be ordering again. The meat was also chewy.

I had a fantastic experience at Kervan Sofrasi Southgate! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of authentic Turkish dishes that were fresh and full of flavour. The highlight for me was their brilliant Turkish coffee—rich, aromatic, and the perfect finish to the meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. You also have the option to sit either outside or inside, depending on your preference. Although there's no parking available at the restaurant, you can easily park at the Asda car park nearby. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-quality Turkish breakfast and coffee in Southgate

The noise level and waiters running in to you unbearable. Everything felt rushed after getting through the hectic London traffic. Not enjoyable being barged with dirty plates. Staff were very always very polite and accommodating. I don’t normally leave reviews but had to say how salty the food was. When we left we were all hit with the desire to rush into the Asda opposite and buy more drink. Just woke the following morning my throat hurts, my tummy churning. I remember being soo thirsty during the night. We had the platter. We paid £98 alone for this but it was taken up with bread as a base with less meat than we are used to. We had already had bread as a starter so it went untouched. We were disappointed as we have always platters in other Turkish restaurants and also the fact they took themselves a £14 tip/ service charge at the end slapped on, they don’t even bother asking! We wont be back in a hurry.

Last night, I visited your Hertford branch with my family after a long time to see if the service and taste were still the same, but we were very disappointed. The food was acceptable, but the experience was far from it. We ordered the Karavan Special Platter (£72) along with two Sprites (£7) and one lemonade (£3), which should have totaled £82. However, we were charged £90 for some reason. I don’t understand why we were overcharged, especially with the staff’s seemingly pleasant demeanor. We barely finished half of the platter, and in the past, the staff would always offer to pack the remaining food for us to take away. But yesterday, a young, shorter girl (staff member )simply left two empty boxes on the table without offering to help. When I asked if she could assist, she said ‘okay’ but never returned even-though it wasn’t busy.We’ve decided this will be our last visit, as it was a complete waste of money.

Cuando le pregunté si podía ayudar, me dijo “bien”, pero nunca regresó a pesar de que no estaba ocupado. Hemos decidido que esta será nuestra última visita, ya que fue un completo desperdicio de dinero.

Mr. Miron provided outstanding service during our visit to Kervan. He was incredibly friendly, polite, and professional, making us feel truly welcome. His positive energy and attentiveness made our dining experience exceptional. Kervan is lucky to have such a dedicated and warm-hearted waiter.

Went here to have a quick snack. Ordered a bannofee pie with an apple tea on the side and it's honestly a good value for money. The place has a very nice aesthetic, cleaned and a very quick service with a group of helpful staff members. Would Def go back here again for dinner. 🍰☕

I have been to this branch a few times and have found the food and service wonderful, the food has always been fresh, hot, plentiful and seasoned very well. The service is always warm, they serve with a smile and are efficient. I have been before and will for sure go again.

Great, good value meal and in vast quantities. The staff were friendly and quick. Just got back after a family meal for 4 for 40 pounds. It was packed with people waiting by the door. For what you get for the price, it has to be 5 stars. Update - Wow almost 2 years since I last came here. We had the Kervan special which was too much for a family of 4. The bread and salad with dips will blow you out at the start. £50 for this meal and drinks which is around 10% more than 2 years ago. Staff where great. Nov 2018 £54 for a family of 4, ordered the kervan special which we could not finish again. Didn't get the free tea this time but the meal was really tasty. 2024 same meal now £80. Still great. Parking at Asda across the road, free for 3 hours.

Food was very average. Had tastier turkish dishes in other restaurants in north London. Maybe I've chosen the wrong night. Portion rather small and what was meant to be an aubergine/yougurt lamb dish ended up being mainly yougurt and a few pieces of lamb. (Chef speciality).

Previously went here a couple of times and quite enjoyed it.. but on my 3rd trip recently, I found the food wasn't as tasty as before we paid nearly £100 for the family Platter between 5 of us and definitely noticed the portion size had reduced considerably. Also had a few extras on the side. I've been let down as it was my Daughter's birthday who was really looking forward to it. Don't think I'll be rushing back.. especially the 2 hours journey from South London.

Kervan is a wonderful place to visit and have a great meal with an extensive menu and friendly staff. The food was cooked to perfection, arrived hot, and in a timely fashion, which added to this lovely evening out. I would recommend Kervan if you want a good meal in a nice venue with a great atmosphere and friendly/attentive staff.

have visited Kervan Sofrasi in Southgate on multiple occasions, and unfortunately, the quality of the lamb meat has consistently been poor. Each time, the lamb has been disappointingly chewy and lacked the tenderness and flavor one would expect from a reputable restaurant.I particularly do not recommend their Lamb Shish or Cop Shish, as both dishes have failed to meet basic standards of quality. For those seeking a satisfying lamb dish, it would be best to look elsewhere.

It's a North London institution. Kervan Specials are legendary. Service is great, especially given that the place is always so busy. Great value for money, you'll be taking home rhe left overs so it's often 2 meals for the price of one.

Was spoken to very rudely by a young waiter, the food has really gone downhill. Mostly fatty meat and cheaper cuts like chicken wings are privided in the meat platter. I had chosen Kervan many times over the years and can say I do not rate this place 1 star: food quality very poor: fatty cheap low quality meat (do you think a customer doesn't notice). Service: like a animal market shouting and waiters run off their feet but with no attention. Skip this place guys there are many other options.

Went yesterday and am sorry to say three of us went there in the afternoon and after we left three of us had stomach pains and diarrhoea

We have been frequenting this place for quite a few years. and not withstanding some of the more recent reviews on TA we have found the service consistently good, perhaps, because we tend to go along early evening before it gets much busier. The food is still as flavoursome & bountiful as ever - don’t go along unless you are very hungry - but we’ve noticed a steep increase in prices recently, so no longer the best value place in the area.

Was quite far to where I live but this Kervan tastes better than the one in Walthamstow

Breakfast was fabulous never had one like it. Everything you can think of and all very tasty must try it.

Food was pleasant enough and well flavoured but it was just very overpriced for what it was and portions were small. I sat for a quick bite and ordered the lamb shish. It came with only 5 small one inch size cubes of lamb, small portion of rice, half a tomato and a pepper. This was £17.50. I order a 330ml diet coke and this was £3.80. Level of service was basic. They literally took my order and then I went up to pay. This is also one of them restaurants that adds service charge regardless. My small lamb shish meal and a coke cost me £23.43 in total. There are much better alternatives in the area.

Visited Kervan for a 70th birthday dinner. The staff were very accommodating with requests and service. The waiting staff work hard and are a very cheerful crew, especially considering how busy the place was. The food was outstanding - big menu, big choice and big portions. You'll not want to snack on anything before your visit. You will have a great time if you go here. We loved it. Thank you Kervan.

We love this place, food is great 👌🏻 and the sides they bring is soooo generous 🙏🏻 the salads and other things they bring are amazing and delicious and free :) Lately we ordered online just to have at home and it easily awsome with all the sides again Soups are good pide and lahmacun ar good kebap options are good, everything is good 😃

Came for Turkish breakfast with my girlfriend. The service was unmatched. So welcoming and warm. Everything is so reasonably priced, and we still had loads of food to take home. The food was 10/10, I like any other Turkish restaurant. Will definitely be coming back again!

I have been a customer of this restaurant for many years, but unfortunately, the two times I have been to this restaurant, the staff have been very rude and the quality of the food has become awful, and unfortunately, this restaurant is no longer my choice.

I don't like eating in here as the restaurant is way too noisy and packed, which I guess is an indicator of how popular it is. I normally get takeaways and the food is always really great. Can seem a bit pricey, but tbh it's normally my first choice for Turkish food......just as long as not eating in.

We have been regularly coming to Kervan Southgate for years and must say the Food customer service and atmosphere is excellent. We did my daughter's birthday there and the way whole staff specially The Manager Emre organised and participated in the celebrations, all was phenomenal 👏. The food us served freshly and precisely to cater all. My daughter loves coming here to eat and wanted to celebrate her birthday here. The service is always so welcoming and attentive, the food is amazing- we had a vegetarian in the group who loved all their options. We also had a baby and they were all wonderful to make us feel so comfortable, the whole experience is just joyful. There were all sorts of groups out dining, so whatever your occasion this is a wonderful place to go.
