i dine with my friends i ordered Berties sylhety naga chicken, special fried rice and keema nan it was delicious, we all enjoyed the food and service was great waiters are very friendly. we all will back soon

Always been one of the best apart from suppliers being halal which doesn't suit all potential clientele. We found service extremely slow this time with a lot of priority to its takeaway trade that developed since C19. I think to be fair, best to give them another try one day and hope they might show it was only a glitch. The food was superb.

Ordered online and recieved an email with no address for me to collect from and no time to collect it. After finding the address I decided to go straight away to avoid cold food 🤣🤣I explained this to the older guy at the counter, he replied “it’s not my business, I didn’t send it’……I should have left then. He eventually informed me my food would be 10’minutes. 40 minutes later he told me my food was next. After seeing numerous bags of food leaving the restaurant, finally mine came. I drove home with my stomach thinking my throat had been cut, at this point I could have eaten a pickled badger. I opened my food and discovered it was luke warm. 90 minutes, numerous lies and a bag of cold dog food. I overheard they have just got new management, wonder where they were. Truly awful experience

Very poor service for collection. I waited an hour for two vegetable dishes. The restaurant wasn’t that busy. I didn’t get any email notifications regarding the time so had to revisit but even then the food wasn’t ready. The staff were indifferent and the manager rude. The quality of the food was poor and swimming in ghee. The tandoori roti was OK. They don’t appear to have a food hygiene rating which is a concern. The rating merely states “awaiting inspection”

Muy mal servicio para la recogida. Esperé una hora por dos platos de verduras. El restaurante no estaba tan ocupado. No recibí notificaciones por correo electrónico sobre el tiempo que tuve que volver a visitar, pero incluso entonces la comida no estaba lista. El personal era indiferente y el gerente grosero. Really lovely Indian food. The madras could've been a bit hotter for me but still it was lovely. Must be under new management! The mushroom rice was lovely as well and not drenched in ghee like alot of other Indian restaurants. Well done Bengal Berties I will be back!

On entering this restaurant was greeted by the most polite gentleman shown to our table , food was amazing , if you would like a drink with you meal , please take a bottle of wine or beer to enjoy with your food , will definitely be going again when we both come to worthing . I really hope people appreciate this lovely place. Service is phenomenal.

Lovely place to eat. Always really good food, and friendly service. They don't have a drink license, so bring your own, and if you pay in cash you get 10 percent off the bill!

Excellent meal at Bengal Bertie’s - great curry house in Palmers Green. Excellent vegan options, loved the quorn balti and so refreshing that there is a whole vegan section on the menu. Service was great will definitely be coming back

Very good takeaway. Well-balanced spicing, good veg dishes -- saag paneer and tarka dal are my favorites. Service is polite, and my orders are always on time.

Bengal Bertie”s is one of the finest and old indo asian (Bangladeshi) restaurant in Palmers Green,we had a great experience with the food cooked by Moyna Miah (who has been cooking for last 18 years)I must ask locals to try once to get into the taste,its 100%Halal and no Alcohol been serves..

Absolutely delicious curry. Went with three friends, bought our own wine with us. We all had a slightly different dish and all were amazing. Staff were kind and attentive, a hidden gem!

Absolutely shocking wait over an hour for delivery and food comes freezing cold they didn’t get my order correct yet claimed it was the right food delivered very rude and unprofessional staff over the phone I will never buy from here again shocking food shocking service I suggest giving this dump a wide birth

I went to eat there today with my family, and the food was mindblowing. I cannot recommend it enough! The staff members were very welcoming and the atmosphere at the restaurant is very cosy. I travelled all the way from Camden to visit this place as I heard good reviews about it and I can definitely vouch for the reviews.

Incredibly clever and tasty food. We asked these guys to cater a party for thirty people in our garden. They thoughtfully designed a menu and served on site for a fair price. They cleverly mixed ingredients to flow through the courses. The result was many friends want to use them too. Thanks for being so accommodating.

Vegan options, yay! Great food, very tasty. They accidentally got one dish wrong (misheard quorn for prawn 😂) and they came and delivered a new correct dish in 20 minutes which was really kind of them. Thank you!

First time I ordered a take away from Bengal berties restaurant in Palmers Green. My family and I thought the food was delicious and sublime. The tandoori chicken was very soft, the tarka dhal had so much flavour and every dish ordered made our mouths water! This is one of the best Indian cuisine I've tasted in a while. Get in touch (online ) for a great take away with Bengal bertie or visit the restaurant, as the food and flavours will blow you away. It's awesome! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

they have financial problem and try to make you pay cash, also seen dead cats in the trash near there resto i think they are using cat and dog meat to save costs............very dirty place

Terrible food, avoid it at all cost. Ordered a raita to go with the Biriyani and it was plain yogurt with a sprinkling of cumin seeds. The Biriyani was a joke too!

Very good food ,reasonably priced , friendly service and welcoming . Take your own wine,parked just around the corner. We will deffinatly return.

I ordered from this restaurant tonight via Uber eats after previously having takeaway from here multiple times. After waiting over a hour for my food I decided to call bengal Bertie’s to get a update on my food. I explained to the extremely unpleasant man who answered the phone that there is no tracking on this order so I just want to check if the order has left. The man on the phone proceeded to shout at me and ask me why I’m asking ‘stupid questions’ and went on to say if I ask ‘stupid questions’ he will give me ‘stupid answer’. After I asked him why he is shouting and being rude. He continued to shout and tell me my food left 20 minutes ago and that it’s due to ‘weather conditions’. I live 5-10minutes away and the main roads are clear. After waiting patiently I called back for a update and he continues to raise his voice. After that I received a notification saying my order had been ‘cancelled’. After calling back bengal Bertie’s to find out what is going on, I was told that ‘there are loads of other customers who cannot wait for their orders’ that’s why mine has been cancelled. I’m not sure why you have someone with such appalling customer service skills answering your phones but we will certainly not be ordering from Bengal Bertie’s in the future. I am extremely disappointed.

My delivery was late but the weather outside was treacherous, so this was understandable. The food when it arrived was very, very good and I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again. Thank you!

Ordered chicken sag vindaloo, but received mild. Did say vindaloo in the note to the restaurant. Very disappointed as you expect exactly what you ordered.

This has been my faithful favourite for years and as always the food is delicious 😋 and would highly recommend to anyone wanting delicious Indian food.

In the spirit of eating out locally, a neighbour recommended Bengal Berties at 392 Green Lanes Palmers Green. I went with two neighbours and we had excellent curries, two courses with all the usual trimmings for under £20 each. Bengal Berties is that rarest of restaurants - if you want to drink alcohol you bring your own. They provide the glasses as part of their excellent service. I have recently eaten out in other parts of London and had curries that were half as good for twice the price. It's a real gem and they do takeaway.

My curry was nice but so grainy so disappointing 😭 I've ordered before and the consistency of the curry was not like this, luckily the flavour was still there but the texture was such a let down. It's literally a paste.. Smh

The best Indian cuisine in Palmers Green!

Very disappointing. I ordered a chicken Rogan Josh but got lamb instead. This wouldn't normally be too much of an issue as I don't mind lamb however, the food was stone cold which I find incredible given I live within a five minute drive of the restaurant.

We live locally and order takeaway from Bengal Bertie's whenever we would like to have Indian cuisine for dinner. We recently visited the restaurant for the first time and we were truly amazed by the authentic experience we had. The food was absolutely delicious and tastes much better when dining in!

Take away ordered and arrived promptly. Small portions, underwhelming food, veg curry was watery as was the dupiaza, nan bread was size of a small paper handkerchief and about as tasty. Poor quality compared to Bengal Berties of old.

Portions were heavy on veg and a bit stingy. Also onions and ochre were undercooked

Bengal Bertie's produces the most traditional Indian food the staff is so nice and so relatable and funny but since covid started I've chosen to have takeaway they still produce in nice presentation

Bengal Berties never seems to fail me, it is my go to take-away if I want Indian... I've ordered from them probably about 6/7 times. Always tastes delicious and their Saag Paneer is to just the best I've ever tasted!

The food is Excellent & the staff are so helpful in helping you to make the right choice of curry that would be applicable jto your taste. This Indian / Bangladeshi restaurant serves authentic food from there country, I can highly recommend this restaurant not only for there food but also for the friendly atmosphere & cleanliness of the establishment, the only draw back is that at present there Dessert menu is somewhat depleted thus the reason for the 4* rating but once this has been sorted out then a 5* rating would be warranted. All in all the Best curry I have eaten in a long time!!!

I am really impressed with the food from Bengal Bertie's - one of the nicest Indian takeaways and delivery! Like eating home cooked Indian food - right blend of spice and taste! Delivery on time and food hot upon delivery! Excellent - can't fault :-)

They charge £15 for a single dish on Deliveroo. When I called up to question them they said “they’d keep it in mind” it’s been weeks and no action has been taken yet. Lost my business, well done.

Tikka massala was abit to sweet but would order again, coconut rice was 👍

We ordered a takeaway and picked up bought the food home to find very greasy chapati's for our prawn puree we had the filling with nan bread instead, my chicken korma was not even edible the chicken was so overcooked dry and you couldn't even chew it, the tandoori chicken was also dry and burnt, we couldn't eat our food so I called bangal berries and asked to speak to the owner/manager to be told sorry madam he is not here, I explained about our food not being edible, this man that spoke to me said darling our food is fresh every day, told him I have been in catering most of my life and know about food not being fresh and not edible he said look darling I'm telling you our food is fresh, I replied by saying please refrain from calling me ur darling cause I'm not his reply was "cool, cool" do what you want so I responded by saying shall I report it to the local authority about ur food not being edible, "darling, madam do what you want" and hung up on me, it used to be our local 2019 and not ordered at all in 2020 cause of covid so thought lets order tonight, well they have lost us as customers and considering I am connected to many businesses in palmers green I'm sure they will hear about it, please be warned when ordering from this resturant!!

Service was brilliant, food was really tasty and driver was very polite and attentive to Covid rules. I only order Indian food from here so thank you. The chicken tikka starter was a lot smaller than I've had before but tasted great.

Been visiting the establishment for years. Food is awesome, the manager is an extremely cool guy and is by far the best Indian food you will get inside N13. Would recommend!

Four ladies myself included ate here (again) Friday evening. We all love local and have been coming here for years. The staff are always lovely and polite! They have no license at the moment to sell alcohol so we just popped along to the supermarket. All our food dishes were absolutely delicious 😋 have no qualms at all here and highly recommend 👍🏻

I have been using this restaurant for years and have never had a problem with the food, it's just the best and will always use this restaurant and the food is always piping hot when it arrives, just try them and you won't regret it.

Our meal arrived fifteen minutes early with half the order missing. The delivery driver then went to the local shop to get lemonade that was on the order which was half the price of what I paid on the order and then 35 minutes later the rest of the order turned up. Food was amazing but we couldn’t all eat as a family as the first food received would be cold. Disappointed

Small portions and lacking flavour. Madras was watery and very runny, more like a soup than curry. Mixed grill starter was nice but only included 5 small (approx 2cm2) cubes of meat and some shredded lettuce.. not worth the £6.25. Naan bread much smaller than equivalent at other places, but did taste good. Chicken chaat was also watery, no bread like most restaurants. Cant really judge for not including free poppadoms and dips.. But would much rather use the other 90% of restaurants that do, it's a nice bonus and generally expected when ordering an indian..

10/10 - the food was fantastic, excellent quality and generous portion sizes. The service was very friendly and polite. Would highly recommend - best Indian/ Bengali cuisine in the area by far and I have lived in the area all my life! Wish I had discovered this gem before. Thank you Bengal Berties!
