Nice little coffee shop and lovely coffee. However, food was at best average. Cake had very thin layer of filling making it seem dry. The soup (red pepper and sweet potato) was served nice and hot but was very thin. Staff not particularly welcoming and felt that a smile would go a long way.

The WORST 'milkshake' ever. I asked if they did milkshakes, they said they did. I asked if they had raspberry, they said no, but they did a mixed berry that had raspberry in it, so i chose that. Was presented with a glass of purple gloop, which was horribly sour and full of nasty little bits. Was expecting a yummy milkshake, basically got frozen mixed berries whizzed up in milk. When you do that, what you get is curdled soured milk...which is what i was given. It was undrinkable and when i complained all i was told was 'that's how we make them'. Was not offered any of my £3.80 back even though it was clear that i had only had half a sip of their revolting gloop!

Lovely little coffee shop set in a rural small-business yard. Excellent staff inside, with a comical order-and-pay system involving stereophonic ladies either side of the room. Tables outside spread across the gravel forecourt in the midst of peaceful countryside. Good coffee too.

I only discovered this place today. Have lived locally for many years! I had chickpea soup with three types of beautiful Hobbs bread with butter. Delicious! Followed by affogato - ice cream with espresso poured over, excellent. It wasn't on the menu but I asked for it and they said they could do it for me. Staff hard working but bright and cheery. I shall be going there again soon.

Went in for a coffee and some soft drinks. Felt as though we were being looked up and down as soon as we walked through the door. Coffee wasn't great and two soft drinks were served in dirty glasses. Not great, impression we got was the place is for locals with money, wouldn't go back.

Passing through on the way between jobs we happened upon this quaint little cafe and we weren't disappointed. In fact we came back twice in the same day, firstly for a cuppa and then for a bite to eat. I had a bacon and brie toastie and the better half had a bacon and stilton toastie which we both agreed were delicious. We wanted to try the quiche but they had sold out but I'm sure we'll be back in the not too distant future and hopefully we'll get a chance to sample said quiche! Staff were most pleasant and I couldn't resist purchasing a little something from their shop on the way out! 5 stars well deserved!

Sadly I was a little late in the day to be able to have lunch but tea and cake was lovely. Nice seating out in the sunshine and a wander round the farm shop afterwards made for a lovely break in my journey. Always a pleasure.

We have been visiting Mipo for over 10 years and it had never let us down. Home made cakes and an excellent selection of drinks combined with a warm welcome is a winning combination. The challenge is to find out why it is called Mipo. We know!

We visited on route to see our daughter in London . It’s a regular stop for coffee for us from our home in Bristol . We ordered and then took our seats and from the moment we sat down to leaving our coffee break was accompanied by the moaning of the staff . How one member in particular moaned about her shift pattern , who she had to work with , how unacceptably busy it had been on a recent shift. It was relentless ! Being very British we didn’t say anything we didn’t even tut . But jokes aside it wasn’t acceptable. It was not the ideal way to start our week this incident happened on Mon 19th Feb at around 11am . Coffees good cinnamon toast lovely as usual but cheese scone a little stale . We will pop back as we do love the whole offer at the Potato Yard but I do feel some extra training might be beneficial.

My wife and I often visit Mipo for coffee, cake and sometimes for lunch. The food is always fresh and tasty and the coffee hot. Service is always with a smile and it's nice to choose from an ever changing variety of freshly made cakes and pastries whenever we visit. Their salads' are fresh and tasty as well as the toasties - the menu offers choices for most tastes.Mipo is not just a coffee shop but also a place to discover handmade selected items of furniture, homewares and textiles which are made from reclaimed or vintage materials. Mipo is part of The Old Potato Yard complex next to a superb hairdressers and well stocked farm shop, with a plant shop and antique tat shop opposite. The main courtyard is an absolute sun trap. It's an ideal meeting place with lots to see and do and not far from Devizes.

Went for lunch as we were in the Devizes area. Been to mipo before and always had nice food. Once again that's exactly what we had in our open prawn sandwich but I did feel that the portion was a little small. In the great scheme of things £5 isn't a great deal of money but if you are happy with the amount on your plate then you will keep coming back.

We decided to give this place another chance after being served cold soup - twice . It was meant to be hot, and containing beans, should have been thoroughly re-heated.This time, we chose the toasted sandwiches . Gorgeous! Quality bread, delicious fillings.Cant say that I really like wooden platters and tin cans for chips, but it all chimes well with the rustic style of this little gem of a cafe ! Mipo will now be on our list of good places to call in to after a cycle ride!

i travel to Mipo every couple of weeks to meet up for lunch with friends from Devizes. It is always a welcoming venue, with a friendly and attentive waiting team. The menu is small, but I've never tired of ringing the changes on its variety of soups (all veggie) sandwiches and cakes. It is very reasonable , and as far removed from the all-too common soulless High street "coffee shop" as its possible to find. I think I'm lucky to have somewhere so good and so quirky just a few miles away.Well worth a visit for coffee, a light lunch, or afternoon tea..

I have visited Mipo several times over recent months. Being a bit of a foodie, I enjoy browsing at the excellent farm shop next door too.Mipo is situated right next to the farm shop. It is a mix of gifts and a cafe. The girls and owner are very nice ( though not brilliant at saying hello!). Its menu is small, but don't let that put you off. Today I had bean Mexican bean soup plus a half sandwich. Soup was better than I anticipated in terms of taste and texture. It seemed home made. Just as the egg mayo in the half sandwich was. The bread is from Hobbs House. I had brown bread, and they offer you alternatives. Coffee was great too. I was very pleased with my choice, they did a great job and it was very well presented.I have tried a bacon sandwich there is the past and it must be said that I recall it being one of the finest I have bought. It's not the largest place in the world, not a complaint, but they do have lots of table outside, which is lovely in the hot weather.Parking space is ample. All in all an excellent little place. It is a lovely spot for an hour or so, and a very worthy addition yo the various offerings at a Planks.

What a nice name for a place. The whole venue is Manor Farm which has a farm shop to die for, some galleries and therapy rooms - Pilates I think. The cafe is sweet..with inside and outside seating. Food items served are all locally sourced, cakes particularly are made by a local lady and I tried Lemon Drizzle which was succulent and zingy. Our tea was thirst quenching. I also bought a bag of pretty looking pink handmade marshmallow, which I ate with a mug of tea at suppertime, which was excellent - highly recommended.Just a really sweet venue. For disabled people, you may want to pull into the yard on the side away from the direction of Devises, as the toilets are a good 20yds from the cafe on that side, so best pull up nearer to the toilet. Almost impossible from the other car park if the disabled has difficulty walking on gravelly uneven surfaces.

Have been here on numerous occasions. Good coffee, always good food. Haven't tried evenings there yet. The downsides of Mipo I would say are a) toilets outside across the courtyard which is a pain if weather is inclement. b) it is a cold building so even if the log burner is on, it can be chilly if you are sitting round the corner. Love the tables made from huge industrial reels. Lots of interesting things to look at in the shop which invariably means that popping in for a coffee and sandwich will mean you may end up leaving with other purchases such as trays, lamps, pottery, candles etc and your lunch bill is now about £70! Wish they did cheaper refills of coffee rather than buying another at full price. More of an adult place or at least with older children. To take very young children would not make it relaxing as they would be wanting to touch everything in the shop.

I used to visit this place a couple of times a month over several years enjoying the delicious soups and cakes for lunch. I'm not sure what has happened but over the last few years its changed there certainly isn't the welcome end the place is often physically cold. Please light the fire!! It's not cheap and both the quantity and quality has been goi down hill.I think I made up my mind not to return in December when another customer was given half a bowl of soup and asked for more... The assistant said we don't have any more .... Like a scene from Oliver but was charged full price . I bet see won't be back either!!

I’ve never written a review but felt I should as so very disappointed with our experience in this country pub /restaurant. Booked to have a family celebration meal last Saturday while on holiday in the Cotswolds, one of our party had ordered sirloin steak , she ate some and thought it didn’t taste right so her partner said he’d swop with his fish and chips meal , he tasted it and also said it didn’t taste right , I then smelt it and it was definitely gone off , so I told the waitress who asked if we wanted something else , I said no just want it taken of the bill . The waitress came back and said the chef agreed that it was gone off and apologised, said they would take it off the bill. I couldn’t understand how the chef didn’t notice prior to serving that it was gone off as smell was so strong . It upset our whole evening as the two people who ate some of the steak were worried they’d be ill. The rest of the meals were ok but over priced.
