Called in after voting for breakfast as in the same lane. Although the restaurant was extremely busy and we had a little wait the food and service was excellent.

They need more lighting here. They have the strange rule about no breakfast after 12. And believe a toasted tea cake is breakfast. Very helpful chap though. Cakes were amazing. Too much for before lunch, though. And only low quality tea bags There is one fire that serves one table. The rest of the building felt damp and cold. Poor music and toilet. Had to search for toilet light. Dryer didn’t work for more than 2 seconds at a time

I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea as part of the Dementia Friendly Sandbach group on Monday afternoon. The service was excellent and the food superb. Many thanks to Miola staff for pulling out all the stops for us.

What an absolute find! After a walk on the salt line, firstly I was nervous about taking our crazy cocker spaniel anywhere near this pretty place with all the lovely ornaments and coffee shop!! However the lovely ladies were adamant that the beautiful seating area outside was dog friendly. Gorgeous surroundings, and the food was spectacular! Generous portions, in fact I felt bad I couldn't finish it! I wouid return here like a shot. A brilliant place :)

We came with good friends for the Greek night at Sandbach Miola . It was fantastic , the food was delicious, the staff lovely & a great atmosphere . Definitely would return for another themed night similar to this .

My sister and I went to the Gin Tasting night at Sandbach. It was a lovely evening and we sat outside sampling two local gins - both were delicious. It was very interesting and informative and the staff were just brilliant, as usual!

I will use 3 words to describe my recent visit to Miola at Sandbach - expensive, basic and slow. Really disappointing as used to enjoy my visits. I just hope that things improve soon.

Wow what a fabulous afternoon tea we had this was a gift for our 50th wedding anniversary I have to say it’s the best afternoon tea we have had we absolutely loved it staff so friendly will definitely return here you get so much we brought some home to eat later so thank you Miola for a lovely afternoon.

Had a nice lunch here on Saturday - both had the Open Sandwich (Brie, Bacon and Cranberry) which was awesome and tons of it. Not sure why others are complaining about “the most expensive sandwich in Cheshire” as it was £9.95 and there was absolutely loads of Bread, Brie, Bacon, Cranberry, Salad, Coleslaw and Crisps - just what the doctor ordered and we were both stuffed, awesome…

Having been a few times before as it’s a pleasant cafe near a nice dog walk, I’m afraid it’s just getting to expensive for a sandwich (only buttered on one slice of the bread) served with a soup that’s not seen seasoning, coffee is good and very pleasant service but lacking quality at the prices charged, with such quiet lunches (when I have attended) putting a warning up of clamping at £50 if you go for a walk and leave your vehicle I would have thought good business to advise leave your car and build business.

Lovely visit, coffees were excellent, friendly atmosphere, dog friendly outside. Ww will be back next week

We attended miola yesterday for lunch on the way to watching my favourite football team Bolton Wanderers, well what can I say the food was amazing along with nice drinks and the view and ambience of the place was second to none all the staff were so hard working and attentive to anything you asked for,I would really recommend this establishment to anybody many thanks Paul h.

We took our 94 mother in a wheelchair which was no trouble and we were able to navigate to an inside table easily. Next challenge which was met was gluten-free- there were options available - great. The staff were very attentive and checked we had everything we needed. We had coffee and cakes / Eton mess which were large portions and good price. We will definitely return.

This was my first visit to Miola and really enjoyed it. My daughter ordered baked potato with Tuna. It was a good portion. I had a ham salad, which was lovely and fresh. The salad came dressed with oil, which I don’t normally have so will remember next time to ask for it to be left off. Nice atmosphere surrounded with interior design goods for sale. Some of the items definitely were a talking point. Staff pleasant and price for our lunch with water was reasonable.

Went to Sandbach today for lunch here for the first time. Service was polite but food was overpriced and mediocre. I especially didn't enjoy salad covered in olive oil! No condiments offered and not asked if everything was ok. It's a shame as nice setting...

Quality and quantity buffet at good price from varied menu and small to large numbers takes away hassle of home entertaing.

As a frequent visitor to Miola, we love the coffee, choice of cakes and great atmosphere here. I also really appreciate the gluten free option for cakes (sticky toffee pudding - delicious!) and friendly staff who are very accommodating. We’ll be back next week!

We stumbled accross Miola on the way home from a weekend away - but what a hidden gem!!Not only are there unusual gifts, household and garden items for sale, but its got a lovely relaxing atmosphere to sit in for a coffee and a bite to eat! We went for a late breakfast and the staff and the food were top notch with plenty of choice.

I ordered 4x afternoon tea boxes to take away in April and they were absolutely fantastic. We had two regular and two vegetarian options. They were delicious and the boxes were packed full of savoury and sweet treats. The individual boxes made eating outside whilst socially distancing that much easier too. It’s ok. A bit pricy for what it is, but that may be because we’re in covid and business has been down. That’s ok. The open sandwich was alright although the salad only had some thin olive oil, so no real dressing. The environment is fine. The staff are friendly. My flat white was more like a milky Americano.

Called in for a takeaway lunch and was charged £6.95 for a small jacket potato with cheese and an extra £2.75 for a small bit of coleslaw. Total £19.40 with no drinks!!Shocking!!

Four of us went for lunch with very different experiences. Two of us had a cold dish, ham and chicken open sandwich plus a ploughmans. These were both fine. However the two who had hot dishes were very disappointed. They were both luke warm and the chilli had no chilli! It was just an uninspring brown mince mess. Similarly the garlic mushrooms had no garlic and were small bland tasting mushrooms which looked like they straight out of a tin. Previous visits had been excellent so was it a new chef??

I recently ordered a take away afternoon tea as a birthday suprise. The staff were quick to respond to my request, very helpful and the entire thing was faultless. The food was lovely, especially the childrens box! Would definitely recommend!!

Been here on several occasions. The place is warm and welcoming with a nice range of food at competitive prices. Excellent if you have the grandkids in tow as they have a children’s room which hosts a range of toys and a big tv that plays kiddie friendly videos. In good weather the outside area is great.

Very disappointing visit for breakfast. No hot chocolate available, despite a sign as you walk through the gates advertising hot chocolate. 3 full English breakfasts, flavourless scrambled egg with no alternative egg options, fried or poached for example, really hard, cold toast which wouldn’t melt the butter and made it pretty inedible, half a cold tomato, not grilled and all other items cold. The other orders of just toast were cold and again, hard butter straight from the fridge that didn’t melt or even spread very easily onto the toast. I would prefer a Diet Coke to be presented in the can or bottle with the glass rather than poured into the glass but that’s a minor point. The room where we sat was freezing cold, there was an electric fire in the room but this gave off very minimal heat. I did give feedback on the day about the cold food and room and the member of staff said he would let the cook know and that there was a heater in the room. This was my first visit to Miola, I won’t be returning.

I am a regular here as it’s just round the corner from where we live and it’s always good, if popping in for lunch or just a coffee after a good walk down the nearby Saltline the food is excellent and the staff are so polite and friendly. On this occasion I came with my mum for her birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed it although we wouldn’t expect anything less. I always pop in whenever on a walk, on my own or with friends and family , I Feel quite lucky to have this little gem nearby :-)

We used to come in for breakfast regularly a few years ago before our son was born but I've not been in for quite a while but I am glad I did. We went for lunch and the menu has a really good selection and the food was tasty, good portions. The staff were friendly. The pizza will keep you full all day!

A friend treated us to an afternoon tea via Groupon and tasted great with a great variety that I’ve not had on other afternoon teas.

Having been a few times on our own, we took son + 3 grandchildren for breakfast today. Service first class. Lovely log fire in freezing conditions. Really fresh apple juice for children. Wholesome and well cooked and presented breakfast. Will go again.

I had purchased an afternoon tea for 2 through groupon and can’t wait to go back! The service was faultless and totally unpretentious. The savoury platter was full of lovely delicacies, all delicious and the sweet one more of the same, we left nothing! Wish I’d taken a photo but far too busy eating it. My wife took me there for lunch, and as we drove in I wondered where she was taking me. It is tucked away in an estate and the approach hidden by shops and a garage, but once you know it is ther5e, you will be back. The site is both a café and a shop selling curios and fabulous ornaments. And the food and coffee is good, well priced and served by people who seem like friends even though it was my first visit. I visited Miola with my 14 year old son for Afternoon Tea. This was my third visit, and it was the best yet! I used a groupon voucher, meaning it cost £18 for the two of us. What I love about the afternoon tea here, is the range of food, not just sandwiches. On my vegetarian platter, I had cheese and cucumber sandwiches, warm goats cheese and tomato, feta and red onion tart, plus other tasty treats. My sons, pate, prawns, warm quiche and sandwiches. The desserts were beautifully presented and delicious. I was quite full by the time the cakes arrived, but they happily boxed them up to take home (much to my husbands delight!)

Miola is amazing! I have been three times in as many weeks and every time we have been made to feel welcome and part of the ‘family’ The first visit it was my aunts 99th birthday and they surprised her with ice cream with a candle on it, it made her day. The second time was for a hot chocolate and cake. Again, fabulous. My cousin has gluten free food and they were more than able to accommodate her. The third time was for afternoon tea with my friend. It was the first time he’d ever have afternoon tea, me I’m a seasoned professional ! It was the best afternoon tea I have ever had and my friend was totally blown away by it! He now knows why I like going to Miola.

What can I say... the cafe is in a lovely gift shop which had some beautiful Xmas gifts at reasonable prices. The cafe was warm and inviting with a lovely log burner. The afternoon tea was lovely with a fab selection of homemade savouries and cakes, all beautifully presented on slates. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely recommend it.

From the approach, the building is not the most inviting,situated on the outskirts of Sandbach. Don't be put off, just open those doors and wow you will find yourself in a lovely shop, surrounded by pretty things. At the far end is a delightful coffee shop offering a wonderful selection of home made goodies.My friend and I spent a leisurely few hours enjoying the best afternoon tea ever . A special selection of savoury and sweet delights all freshly prepared and beautifully presented on slate platters. We plan to return soon.

Group of 6 of us had lunch here whilst in the middle of an 11 mile walk. Good to have the option of tucking ourselves in a corner away from the log burner as it was already pretty warm outside (especially warm for November!). Decent selection of food on the menu, all our meals were really nice.

We took my mum for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. It was delicious, a mixture of sandwiches and warm savouries following by a platter of amazing deserts. All beautifully presented and the staff were very friendly.

Visited for lunch on a Saturday, although there were only 2 other parties in, we waited 25 minutes for 2 tuna wraps and some quiche. I also ordered a pot of nachos (side dish) and was served with a huge bowl of nachos from another menu. It was the strangest serving of nachos I’ve ever seen, they had some melted cheese just in one place on top of the nachos and were served with tzatziki and chopped tomato and red onion. They were very dry and tasteless, as were the tuna wraps. Definitely won’t be eating there again.

Having bought a voucher for an afternoon tea from Miola, we looked forward to what we would receive. It was absolutely delicious and a real treat. The staff were happy to help, friendly and very welcoming. We chose our drinks from the menu, hidden within a book. For me a lovely latte, with a square of sponge cake on the side and a tea for my husband. We were served with a slate platter of savoury treats each, which included a slice of warm quiche, mini prawn cocktail, a mini tuna wrap, goats cheese and caramalised red onion tartlets, a side salad and 4 delicate sandwiches, accompanied by a side salad. Then we received a stunning array of mini desserts, again on a slate. These included a warm jam and cream scone, a slice of coffee cake, a slice of Victoria sponge, a bakewell flapjack served with the most fantastic vanilla ice cream, with an accompanying lacy chocolate shard, that I have tasted, served in a tiny little glass cup. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted divine. I highly recommend Miola and especially thank the friendly staff member for taking such care of us. A hidden gem, that you should visit!

Visited today having not been since before christmas for afternoon tea with friends. Warm welcome, charming friendly helpful staff, very comfortable atmosphere and the food is exceptional. Served to the highest quality and what we had was beautifully presented. Thank you for turning a dreary rainy afternoon into a delightful experience in every way. Will most definitely be visiting again very soon. The menu looked to have a wonderful choice of home made delights and all at a reasonabke price. Lots of lovely gift ideas in the shop too.

What a lovely oasis in a quiet area!

This is a local place for us & always enjoy popping in for a coffee or something to eat which is always freshly cooked & delicious. The staff are always friendly with excellent service with a smile. It has a really lovely atmosphere & in the winter months they have a wood burner which is always welcoming. There is outside seating which is equally pleasant in the summer.

I’ve visited on numerous occasions for business and pleasure sometimes for drinks, sometimes for food and drinks, and also for events. Each time the food and drinks have been great - you get what you pay for after all! Friendly staff, nice homely fire in the autumn and winter, and a good selection of food and drinks.

Loved the experience, food freshly prepared, nothing too much trouble. Scrumptious and will be going back very soon.

We have used this place without incident until yesterday. Its ok but limited ~ some nice staff. Yesterday we queried the charge as £10.05 was charged for my plain ham sandwich. The sandwiches are expensive usually at £8.55 but over £10 was extortionate. Apparently the extra was because I had 2 slices of bread on my basic sandwich so £1.50 extra. We won't return so custom lost.

Asked why charged £1.50 extra on bill. Told because my husband had ordered a basic plain closed ham sandwich ( as he has many weeks prior) instead of ham turkey gourmet open. So instead of the £8.55 gourmet I pointed out that the plain ham was charged at £10.05. Owner adamant this acceptable even though not charged previously. It being Sunday lunch & mostly empty ( as it has been last few visits) I expected they would want to retain regulars rather than annoy. When I expressed this and said we wouldn’t be back she said good, as I moaned too much (posted 4* reviews previously). Dismissed any complaint & said she drives a BMW 4x4 not a Ford like me. I added I would be replacing my review with a one star. She mocked, & said I needed to be aware She always, always responds. Respond away, not my custom that’s voting with their feet, choosing not to subsidise your 4x4 and derision.

Lovely friendly staff & owner. Good food and eclectic interiors shop. Outdoor seating area is also very pleasant if you wish to sit outside.

Been to Miola a few times this spring/summer for lunch. Such a relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff. Brilliant selection of lunches, all cooked freshly and using quality ingredients for a reasonable price. Definitely one of my favourite lunch spots in and around Sandbach.

Just had an afternoon tea for two. Made to feel most welcome even though we were on a vouchered visit. Full explanation of how and what was to be served. Absolute top notch presentation of two courses and the food itself didn't disappoint.

We booked for the Mother's Day Afternoon Tea - 6 adults, one 7-year-old, and a highchair for a 1-year old.

Had a lovely afternoon tea today, very well presented and the deserts were gorgeous. Only one criticism and that would be to have tea offered at the beginning rather than the end but that’s simply a personal choice. Mum enjoyed it and the flowers were a lovely idea. Lovely staff too, thank you.

We were sitting at the table for over 1 1/2 hours before being served, we had our grandson with us who had just turn 1, was asked if they could warm up his food the said no, due to some health and safety, there might be some peanuts that the child might be allergic to,(just think his mother had made up his special food, the food was in it's own plate and covered in a plastic bag). When they did finally come they just brought us a bucks fizz, My grand daughter was also with us, They never asked if there was anything for the children. We still had to wait for another 10 - 15 minutes before they started bringing us the food. There was a couple who came much later than us they were served and gone before way before we got to have our tea and cakes. I asked for green tea and the lady serving us kept saying I was having peppermint tea, my son-in-law asked for a mocha coffee which is coffee with hot frothy milk, he got coffee plus the hot milk in a jug.

Visited Miola for the first time on Saturday after reading all the positive reviews. We were not disappointed. We had a lovely homemade lunch - I had a flavoursome quiche and my husband enjoyed a tasty chilli.

Just been to a lovely 80th Birthday party here. It was a delightful evening in unique, comfortable surroundings including wood burning stoves. The buffet was tasty and the staff extremely attentive. Thank you to the owner and her team. We will be back!

Over priced tat , terrible food ! I suspect the ingredients were from a well known supermarket from Germany , but sold at a premium price.

We called in whilst out for a walk with friends. The interior exceeds expectations, it is warm, cosy, decorative and imaginative. The log fire was very welcome on a frosty morning. The staff were welcoming and friendly. A good range of options were available on the menu. We opted for the breakfast and bacon and brie. The tea and coffee arrived promptly and was very good. The food arrived and was well presented, plentiful and very tasty. The toilet facilities are limited with just one toilet available for all. It is disable friendly. The bill came and it worked out at around £10 per person which I felt was reasonable for the overall experience.

My friend and I booked this afternoon tea not having any expectations. The service was extremely friendly, explaining how the food will come in two courses - a savour proceeded by a sweet. The two platters were full of delicious homemade delights. The variety of items on both platters was more than we had encountered at previous afternoon teas at different locations. We were more than happy and ensured we took photos to show our friends and family. Thank you for a great experience, we will be back.

We have just celebrated our anniversary with a delicious afternoon tea. The savoury first course was freshly prepared and attractively presented, a delicious variety of savoury snacks. The second course the sweet selection consisted of creamy ice-cream, Eton mess , two types of cake and a scrumptious cream scone. All served with a lovely lot of tea. We felt very comfortable and will certainly be returning. Thank you for your friendly service.

Needing a place to meet with a friend after a meeting nearby we went to Miola. The greeting was nice, when we asked for a weak latte we were offered the shot separately to the milk so that we could tailor the drink to suit - a nice touch. We only had coffee and cake but saw others eating nicely presented food. Watch out for the way that the menus are presented too - another nice if quirky touch. We are planning to meet here again this time for lunch.

On our way home after a short break and realising it was passing 'lunch time' stopped of at Miola which we had visited before. This place is SUPER and still appears little known. It is in an unpromising location on way out of town but food, ambience and service are all fantastic, Their continental mixed platter sitting in the sun was just the best thing. FIND IT AND GO THERE!!! Interesting 'Black and White goods and furnishings in the attached shop as well!

This Coffee Shop is on my doorstep and never been before but what a lovely surprise. I ordered a lunch and it was really nice, very well presented and very tasty. Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone passing, very nice atmosphere and service was excellent, a little gem of a place

Called in yesterday to browse, but stayed for lunch. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Food yummmmmmy . They even had a proper machiato.Recommended most highly.

Fresh salad and delicious high quality fillings make their gourmet sandwiches a pleasure. Always a nice touch to pop a small sample of cake on the saucer with each coffee as it tempts to buy a full portion once you have been lured to try. Menus though are currently stuck in the leaves of old books which is not quirky in any good way but annoying to customers as you leaf through pages to find what should be easy and obvious. That said the staff are pleasant and the food lovely.

Why would anybody stop at motorway services when you can go to such a lovely place, just off the M6?! The food is good, the ambience pleasant, and the menus are pasted inside books. Service is prompt, and the choice of food is good. Portions are substantial and the quality is excellent. The entrance to the rather drab carpark (shared with other premises) is from Lodge Road. Look for the designated parking places for Miola.
