Mint Restaurant in Poole

Don't bother. Ordered at 20.05. ETA 20.45. Arrived at 22.20. Had to reheat in the microwave. Hungry, and disappointed, and no customer service from the restaurant or Deliveroo. Tried to call restaurant four times. Twice they hung up. Twice went to answer phone. Finally Deliveroo called back and refused to cancel the order or compensate.

As ever, the food was top notch, hot and super flavours and quality. Okay, the naan was a little bit undercooked but edible, so no harm done. Once again, where you let yourselves down is through being late with your delivery times. Now, we order for a delivery earlier than we ideally want so as to not have a late delivery cause an issue.

Thank you so much for the discount and free delivery - made such a difference. Thank you also for the fantastic food. Loved it, loved it, loved it! If you could just sort out the late deliveries, you would score perfectly!

One thing saved Mint from being cast into obscurity due to the order being 30 mins late and that was this curry being the very best we've had since arriving in Dorset some 12 years ago. Absolutely top notch, superb food without parallel. We will order again - just order for a delivery time 30 mins earlier! Thank you Mint!

Great food and delievery service was excellent

Really delicious, the salmon was well cooked but not over done.

Hate to write this review as Mint has always been amazing.. but today we received rice with salt in instead of coconut, we only realised after we mixed the rice with our curries. We phoned up and they were great and sent out what we thought was new rice and curry, however it was just the new rice. So now we only have a little bit of curry we could save from the salt with the new rice :( feel so sad writing this review as the food is always great, but the situation is annoying and we aren't getting the money back for having to waste most of a curry.

Usually the hot lamb appetiser is lovely, however, sadly this time it was too hot to be pleasant

Have ordered from here twice now meal was good both times bit no mint yoghurt on the menu even asked them for it in comments box at paying but no attention gets paid to the bit I feel but otherwise a very good meal tasty nicely cooked will deffo come back again

I don’t buy a curry to eat healthily and I’m not a chef but the chicken dupiaza was over flowing with oil. Perhaps 1/4 of the sauce was oil. Mint is still good though!

As usual the Lamb Pathia and Peshwari Naan were incredibly delicious. Food is always delivered hot and on time (contactless) by respectful driver.

On occasions we have meals delivered. About once a fortnight. For a curry we use “Mint Indian” as we have found the quality consistently good and their delivery reliable. On top of this, recently, they have been offering various discounts on delivered food. 30% tonight! We like to eat at about 18:00 so ordered for a 17:50 delivery. I was not sure if this would be achievable as we had had wet snow falling for most of the day and as darkness fell and the temperatures dropped, this “slush” on the road turned to quite heavy, rutted ice. But we had no need to worry as their driver was “up for the job” and our food arrived, spot on time. Their driver certainly went “above and beyond” for us. As usual the food was excellent and, also as usual, there was more than enough for us to have the same meal again tomorrow from the “left overs”!

New restaurant discovery for us & wow what a find! Great ambiance, great staff & amazing food! Fantastic menu & it was truly one of the best tasting Indian cuisine we had all ever eaten! This is certainly going to be our “Go-To” restaurant in the future!

Great food provided, will return as a customer.

We've eaten at this restaurant many times and have enjoyed it. This time, we went for delivery. Although we ordered for 21:00, the food arrived at 18:00, so we sent it back and had it redelivered. The driver who tried the first delivery was very apologetic. When it came at the correct time, it wasn't hot. Once it had been heated up a bit, it was lovely - exactly the delicious food we expect from Mint - just a shame about the delivery mix-up.

Food arrived with cold wet cans in the same bag, the food was like warm but was tasty after heating up. Disappointed that the bottle of coke £3.95 was replaced by 3 cans. Millage doesn't quite work out there. And no phone call or message to say a replacement would given instead.

We made the order at 20.15 and the delivery time said 40 minutes. Email confirmation said it would arrive between 21.05-21.25 At 21.24 we received a just eat text to say it was on its way but we phoned the restaurant and they said they still had the order. It arrived at 22.10. This is unacceptable.

Veg curry (with the byriani) was a dark green mush of overcooked green beans and broccoli, and nothing else. Tarka Dhal was filled with whole cloves of barely cooked garlic, and the bhaji were burnt. Really disappointing and most went in the bin. This was a payday treat.

I needed dinner near to Parkstone Station, near Poole. Less than ten minutes walk away is Mint Restaurant. My first impression was the cleanliness; secondly I was shown to a table in the centre of the restaurant, then offered to be moved to the window, which I accepted. The menu is comprehensive, mainly predictable British Indian Restaurant options. I chose Chicken Shashlik accompanied by Tarka Dhal, one of my favourite combos, preceded by Poppadoms with a chutney tray. The food preparation, presentation and service were excellent. I will happily return, and hope to do so soon.

Visited mid-week with my Daughter for a meal using our ‘Meercat 2-4-1’ offer. Food was excellent, generous portions & all piping hot & very tasty. Certainly would return & recommended .

I’m not one to complain I understand can be busy and orders can run behind I placed my order 5:37pm at 6:05pm I was messaged my order was on its way I was originally told on just eat order will arrive between 6:20-6:40pm at 6:43pm it was updated (enjoy your food) I still didn’t have my food I tried calling to see where order was and just kept ringing at 6:47pm I got through asked where my order was I got told then it was leaving in 5min I had asked if the food will be hot on receiving the food the lady did apologies for wait With not having any call to say it was running late taking me to call them it shouldn’t be delivery drivers fault to apologise for lateness On open the bag all the food just felt lukewarm one nann bread was missing we received one garlic and 3 plain we only order 3 Nann breads so was sent a extra these where also cold even in the hot bags The onion Bhaji where dripping in grease and tasted stale I know these are deep fried but for the amount of grease just made them look very unpleasant as for the curry’s you opened tubs and there was just no warmth even tho I was told food will be hot We tried this Indian on recommendation from a friend and for me the first time and I have to say the last I have put in a request for a refund we only eaten half as all was hungry this is a family treat and was response from rest of family they didn’t enjoy I hope this review doesn’t stop others as Said I don’t normally complain but I felt I had to

Food was late. Took over 1 hour and 25 minutes to arrive and when I called to enquire its wheabout the communication was terrible and they didn't even k ow where my food was initially telling me other peoples food orders even though I have given them my address. Very disappointed in the service. Food was good though.

Went to Mint with friends for a meal. The staff were very friendly and the surroundings We're clean and bright. The food was excellent and the drinks were reasonably priced. We will definitely go back. Can highly recommend.

I have eaten out at Indian restaurants over my career where I was away from home 40 times a year four 35 years. Several hundreds of times. Last night I had the most stylishly presented starter ever. Not just wonderful presentation though but also equal to the best I've ever tasted. The new menus introduced make the restaurant immediately feel a classier place. The main meals my wife and I next had were both extremely good. The lamb that we both went four was amazingly tender. Congratulations Mint chef and all the other staff. We'll be back!

We were on holiday and fancied good vegetarian food. Thisvis a family run business and the owner was polite and helped us to choose the meal. The food was v delicious. They also do takeaways. We would definitely come again. We were staying at the caravan club site and this restaurant is about 10 miles from the club site in Wareham.

Food was so cold, we had to microwave it! The food itself was bland and tastless, full of grease and is not worth the prices they are charging. Will not be going back

We checked out the menu on the website before booking, but when we visited we were given a different menu. We were a bit confused and didn't really want anything from the menu provided. We were considering leaving when we were asked if we were ordering from the new or old menu? After some confusion an old menu was produced with the dishes we expected. No idea why? We watched as other groups and couples stared at the strange menu and were then told they could order from an old one. A staff member came over and asked if we had decided on our order, we said yes and gave our order, but then they just walked off saying they were new and didn't take orders? So strange! Food was actually very nice and the portion sizes good. But after all the confusion it wasn't a very enjoyable meal out and we will not return.

I do like your food but you forgot the mint sauce with my onion Bahjis and last time you delivered the wrong curry altogether and had to wait 30 mins for the right one - come on, silly mistakes, pay more attention please

Worst Indian I’ve had since moving to Dorset! DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BREAK YOUR TEETH. Found crockery in our saag aloo! Chicken vindaloo was cheap and tasteless! Not to mention full of water! No poppadoms or chutney despite it being on the order. Worst Indian food yet. We had a refund for the curry but thats not enough considering one of us nearly choked on your food! Wouldn’t recommend anyone!

Sunday evening visit. Restaurant was quiet. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Service and cleanliness was very good. Hosts very pleasant to chat too. Thanks for the complimentary liqueur.

My wife and I ate here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was bustling and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly, the service was good and the food was lovely.

Ordered for 7pm as we were out until then. Got a call at about 6.20pm ish saying food had arrived. Phoned Mint and was initially told they would keep the food warm.... Explained that I probably would rather not eat food that's would have then been hanging around for the best part of an hour. Asked for refund. Was then told that in fact we could expect fresh food. It arrived after 7pm, with missing items. The popadoms were bendy and soggy. Feel like it probably did just sit in a bag somewhere. I actually really like Mint and have had amazing food from there and hopefully will again but this happened and the whole thing was a bummer.

Meal delivered was nice and hot. Fairly quick too. Flavour was super and a nice presentation. The prawn pathia was full of prawns. Rice great. Caters for lactose intolerant people too.

The food was excellent as ever. Our only gripe is that once again we ordered chutney with the poppadoms and for the third time they failed to include it in the order!

Although the food was tasty it was not piping hot and it took 90 minutes to arrive. The chicken tikka and Sheek kebab starters did not have the mint sauce that is usually included.

The Passanda was the worst one I’d ever had, it was watery and a nasty mustard colour and had a very strange taste, it was advertised as chicken or lamb but there was no option to make a choice. The salad with the Bhajis was brown and not at all appetising, used to use Mint a lot but have had to many iffy meals now and won’t use them again, shame because their food used to be fabulous.

I ordered before the restaurant opened and they acknowledged my order when they did. Estimated delivery was 17.55, then this was changed to 18.30. When it arrived the whole lot ordered was cold and the onion bhajis were so cold that the bag they were in was dripping with grease. I rang the restaurant and they offered a replacement which I accepted, this didn’t turn up on the time advised so I requested a refund. The second curry turned up a further 20 minutes late, which I sent back. Won’t be ordering from them again.

Food was luke warm Delivery was late They put chips and onion bahgee in a brown paper bag so all greasy and wet stuck to everything. Puts you right off. Hence the luke warm Also paid for 3 mango chutney they brought 3 mint sauce yuk! So annoying especially as its not cheap. Not worth the money will not be back.

45 minutes late. Chicken dish ordered and received beef. We haven't used this restaurant before, but thought we would try it as they are literally 2 mins drive from us. Needless to say, we won't bother next time.

Ordered online about 4.30. Confirmation at 5pm with est delivery of 5.35, had to contact them when it was late, and it arrived at 6.20. Such a shame as the food is really good.

Chicken was really chewy/weird textured and lacked the correct flavour of the dishes as they usually taste from other Indians/when ordered before from here. Very odd meal. Maybe prepared in a rush. Not left me feeling great after.

Always delicious food but often late

we ordered a madras and a dupiza and they both tasted exactly the same and they tasted awful just like a jar you would buy from a supermarket. The rice was ok but the rest went in the bin
