Excellent food, friendly staff, ideal for your time spent visiting Minions and The Hurlers, the Cheesewring, Stowe’s Pound and the other local sights. We ate the mackerel pate on sourdough toast, came with salads and pickles.

Accepting that this is the highest tea room in Cornwall and that we visited on the last Sunday of the year just before closing (at least they were open) - the milk jug accompanying the tea should not have been crunchy, and few indistinguishable black marks on the inside. Would recommend for the location and service, just beware of the crockery.

We've recently moved to the area and visited Minions Tea Room 4 times now. We've had lunch here and also coffee and cakes and we have to say that it has been delicious! The brownies are an excellent choice if you're looking for that chocolate hit! Just down the road is off-road parking allowing you to go and explore the wilderness which I would highly recommend. The staff in the tea room are lovely and the food is good too. We will definitely be back and are glad to have such a cosy, delicious tea room so close to home.

This is a hidden gem on the edge of Bodmin moor. Perfect for walkers, families, couples or anyone really. Limited menu but everything is fresh and superb. I had the best ham and chutney sandwich I’ve ever had. Cake selection was all homemade and outstanding. Inside and outside seating. Only small, but worth a visit

Fabulous tea room, we visited as a family of 4 for lunch. Great selection for all, we went with toasties for the kids & huntsman's ploughman's for the husband & I. What a great choice we made. Generous portions, food beautifully fresh & delicious. We were stuffed! Bought cakes to bring home with us as they too looked amazing! Staff were lovely & friendly. Super clean & tidy. A real gem & will be sure to visit again when were back in Cornwall. Loved it 😊

Came across this little gem of a cafe whilst visiting in the area on a holiday. It is claimed to be the highest tea rooms in Cornwall and is certainly worth the visit to find it. Quaint with some lovely local produce a must if you want a light lunch or a snack?

Spotted this lovely little cafe whilst driving past, and so happy I stopped. Delicious coffee and cake, and friendly service. The place was spotlessly clean, and the outside tables are right on the edge of the moor. Fantastic overall and I will definitely be heading back for another visit.

I contacted the tea room the previous day as there was going to be 11 of us (8 adults and 3 children) for Saturday lunch. They very kindly accommodated us all. There is a great range of food on offer, with a specials board. The food was delicious and portions sizes were generous, so no one went hungry. They couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful to us. I highly recommend the tea room and shop. Will definitely be be going back.

We stopped at the tea rooms after a walk on the moors and around the Hurlers Stone Circles. There is a free car park by the circles and the tea rooms is just a short walk along the road. The fruit scones were fresh out of the oven and absolutely delicious. Lovely views over the moors. A must visit if you’re in the area.

We stopped for afternoon refreshments after a long walk, the place was busy with cyclists and walkers. The food looked lovely, scones and cakes and pots of tea, huge toasties… unfortunately, it’s let down by the utterly imcompetent staff who take 20 minutes just to take your order at the till and then bring out random foods wandering aimlessly around trying to find who’d ordered it in the first place. We couldn’t see any allergen marking on the cakes so I dared not order anything but coffee.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.
