Local pub no frills. Clean enough no problem. I don't recall seeing any food on offer but I could be wrong on that.

A great historic local pub. Excellent Sunday lunches and great value for money. We will be back!

Good priced drinks. Good seleftion. Relaxed barman / owner. Dog friendly throughout. Indian food... take away stuff. Got busier about 6pm. It's a regulars / locals place. A few noisy customers frequent the building so don't expect a quiet drink.

Pub is very cosy and we felt very welcomed here by everyone. We will be back!!

Nice little pub, went there for a friends birthday. Decent size carpark and also a decent size undercover area for smokers. Only reason for 4 stars was no coke on tap yet in their new cocktails bar and also didn't try any food, am sure this rating will change when we return soon

Popped in here for a beer on the way through the area. Last time I was in this pub was about 30 years ago when I was in the Army. Nice enough pub and the woman behind the bar was nice and chatty.

What a friendly atmosphere! Patrons all very welcoming, very well kept smiths bitter and the bar lady, Kelli, is a delight! 10/10!

First time here with fellow workers had a nice pint guy behind the bar was friendly and served a good pint. Place is very quirky with its own charectoristics.. Well worth a visit.. Very nice..

Very friendly staff, the land-lady and barmaid both very nice and chatty. Nice big pub with a local boozer feel to it - was well impressed to find out they were not only a pub but a Tandoori Restaurant too - as their kitchen is leased out and they provide a full menu for eat-in and take-away service. We had a couple of decent pints, and a couple of unexpected great currys when we were there - all at reasonable prices too. Plenty of parking out the back, big enclosed 'smoking area', a function room that it looked like you could book and hire, and lots of tables with a couple of large-screen TV's too - they even have a projector and big-screen for event's. It was our first time here, it won't be our last now we know this gem exists in Mytchett.

The worst land lady I have ever met and spoken too. Within the first 5 minutes she spoke to my friend like crap then me. She told me she can talk to us how she likes as she was the land lady. This was the first and the last time I will be going here.

Friendly staff, good range of drinks and authentic indian food (ask for the Shazza wrap special). Safe and following all Covid rules. Lovely local pub with lots of outdoor seating.

As a village pub goes it’s a hub of activity. We loved the biweekly quizzes which were well organised and attended. Shame they don’t have lemon for my GnT!

If you are some one who lives for the thrill of hunting mythical creatures, you would certainly of heard of but never of seen the legandary elusive ninja. May you be lucky enough to glimpse upon his almighty majesty. To do so you must lay a trap to catch him! This trap consists of placing a cold fresh pint of Stella on the table on Friday evening. he is hard to catch as he moves throughout the pub from person to person as if he is using some kind of futuristic teleportation device, a phantom if you like. but eventually he will sniff out that Stella and sip on it gently, att the time watching his surroundings as to not be caught. once you catch a glimpse of this beautiful creature he will be like a baby deer locked into a cars headlights, beautiful, timid and fleeting, never to be seen again, well... Until next Friday

Room basic but cute, warm and Clean, friendly staff. Easy to find. If we are down south in the future we will book again.

Great place to go for a quiet drink, or a fun Friday/ Saturday night.. nice snug area with leather sofas.. sports on the multiple screens on request.. there is a ‘sports hall’ in the back with pool tables, sports memorabilia on the walls .. have been told this can also be hired out for private functions. Would recommend.

Well it's nice but I don't see any miners in this pub. I have also never been inside but it looks nice!

One the most bad place. If you want to rest don't go there. I don't understand how the people give to them so many star. They have the most cheaper mattresses and the most cheaper bad. It is very noisy there they have pub there. When I saw my room I try to get refound becouse wasn't like one description but the owner refused. Not recomand avoid that place nothing to do with 5 stars.

First time here. One very friendly bar person by the name of Graham, landlady was very dismissive, ladies toilet had nothing to dry hands, mention to land lady, wasnt adjusted (old fashioned towel on a roller) bar didn't have enough staff for a Saturday night when a function on. So took a long time to be served, as always locals first, but I like that. Lol. Maybe I'll try venue again but found it very unfriendly, expensive, very expensive. I need to save up first.

The beer was awful, the barmaid was abrupt and the place was dominated by large screen TVs, even outside in the smoking area, and a crowd of foul mouthed locals.

Definitely a man's pub. Toilets unisex or men's only. Sports mad. Screens loud. Not my cup of tea.

Freindly service, but food could've been better

Worst lodge I had ever been. It is basically a pub with a room to sleepover. Went there for a 2 pm checkin and the bar was locked. The bartender is the receptionist. She just handed over the key and that's it! Had to go backa nd wait there to get the Wifi password. Utter slow internet. The heater was working the whole day at maximum and was unable to turn it off and at night it went off adding to the misery. The only pros was the toilet was clean and had a decent price which I still believe is not worth. Couldn't sleep the whole night as there was sound from the bar the whole night!! And the worst one was they did not have an ironbox. I was having an interview the next day and they just said they don't have and offered no help. I bet they are the only lodge having no ironbox. Booked this room as this was the only option near to the company I went as all the other hotels and rooms were already booked due to some big event on the same day. Never ever recommend unless your only option is to sleep in a railway station!.

Absolutely superb pub....proper pub. I was disappointed that there was no real ale on draft, but nothing was too much trouble and the land lady came up with some cracking bottled alternatives at great prices. The proprietor and her staff were friendly and helpful. Shame it's 4 hours away 😂😂😂

Clean rooms clean beds can't beat it for the price abit noisey with the pub adjacent but doesn't go on too late great value for money

Clean comfortable accommodation and i did stay for 4 1/2 weeks on business reasonable price. The staff were friendly and helpful. Can be noisy on Friday and Saturday nights but then it seems to be a popular local . Did not eat there so can't comment on the food

Stayed here for a weekend whilst working in fleet, rooms were fine although a little too close to the beer garden which can get quite loud, the food from the bar was nice an cheap also, found the staff to be friendly and helpful, would definitely go back 👍👍👍

Having read the reviews I was skeptical about this place. We turned up with a dog and were told it was okay to bring the dog inside. We, and the dog, were made very welcome. Nice selection of beers, limited food menu but the meal we had was very good. The meals we had were very well cooked, tasty and definitely sufficient for an evening meal. This is definitely a locals pub so it had a great atmosphere.

It takes a special kind of culinary ineptitude to ruin what little menu this pub has to offer... But I must say I was impressed at just how badly they could burn a toastie (we're talking completely Black on both sides) and undercook some chips. What upset me was that they served this to my 4 year old daughter and were actually surprised that I didn't want it cremated. The words "Oh, that's just how they come" we're unapologetically used in a very nonchalant way... Like, that's the normal everywhere! The bar itself was nothing to write home about... Classic grimy, wet floor bathrooms (which I hope was water) and the unhygienic looking kitchen staff... If all you want is a beer, this place is as good as any, but it definitely is NOT a family place for children, or for that matter, anyone you don't want to catch salmonella. Do yourself a favour and get to the Rose and Thistle, which is 5 mins walk and 2 mins drive round the corner! Food is excellent, it's clean, the staff are friendly... Now THAT is a classy place which I've taken my friends and family to, and will continue to do so. (fyi - I am in no way affiliated with Rose and Thistle, I'm just a fan!). The ONLY reason we gave miners arms a go was the kids birthday party happening next door... But, Never Again!

We have used the function room at the Miners Arms a number of times and have found both the facilities and the staff to be excellent. The food provided was tasty and plentiful and Tracey went out of her way to help with special diets. There is also a large car park and accommodation, which helps when you have people coming long distances.
