trashcan icecream very bad would not reccomend to visit this establishment service was very bad and the guy that served me was called steve he just seemed like a pretty slimy guy

Handy central location in a lovely old building, full of character and smiles inside. The ice cream is world famous although I always opt for a ham and cheese toastie with a cappuccino every time. The atmosphere is great as well as the service. Will definitely visit next time i’m lucky enough to be home

Best ice cream in the land and lovely coffee but the cafe is very cold. Everyone is sitting with coats on. Invest in some heating please.

I’ve been having ice cream from this establishment since the 80s and it’s as good now as it was when I was a child every time I visit my Granny I make the trip from London to Gateshead to see her and on to minchella’s even if it’s raining for in my opinion the best ice cream in the world

Straight forward no frills coffee shop and ice cream parlour. Not the best coffee sadly but its passable. The ice cream is the business and its always uncluttered and clean.

This cafe is situated in the main pedestrian precinct. It has outside seating and is a very pleasant location. At this cafe the food, drink, and ice cream are all of the highest order. The service is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. A very good place to stop for refreshments.

Minchllas are famous in South Shields for their icecream and coffees , this shop has been in its present situation for as long as I can remember 60 years and the service and pleasant staff are as good as ever . All the Minchellas are in convenient places in the town particularly on the sea front

Minchella's Ocean Road is a must go to every time I'm back home. I'm so glad they've kept the 'old style' atmosphere at this location. Delicious ice creams and coffees, helpful and smiling staff. Also nice to see they've branched out their ice cream flavours.
