While me and my friends were waiting on a delayed train at the nearby train station Waverly. We stopped into Mimis bakehouse and had a cup of coffee and some scones. They were some of the best i have ever had, and the coffee was exceptional as well. Me and my friends were thrilled with the quick and effective service offered by the staff. Will be returning!

One O’Clock in the afternoon, it looked inviting and was very handy for Waverly Station. Found a table and got settled, went to counter and placed the order, only to be then told that there was no food left, only soup……not the first time this has happened. No indication that “food was off”, many tables left uncleared and generally stand-offish vibe from the staff.

This spot is such a wonderful Edinburgh gem, all of the staff were so lovely and helpful! I went by myself while I was exploring the city and was so happy how close it was to the train station! Tilda was wonderful in making my coffee and helping me choose my cakes, the manager Kuba and 2 other’s, Lily and Bronwen, chatted to me while I waited for my coffee and were incredibly kind in explaining everything. Rebecca rang my order up and everything was super smooth and efficient. The place was incredibly tidy and had such a buzzy and joyous atmosphere. I was thrilled with my experience and will be recommending to my friends and family to come and stop there for coffee and cakes! I had the bus off brownie and it was incredible!!

This is my favourite Mimi’s (also been to the Royal Mile and Leith stores). It is spacious and plenty of tables so easy to pop in. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. The brunch menu is extensive and the food is delicious. The coffee was also lovely. I didn’t have a sweet treat on this visit but I have done before and always thoroughly enjoyed them.

Visited on 22nd December where we had soup and a scone with a cuppa. What a lovely wee place, the staff are helpful and friendly and the service was excellent. Enjoyed it so much we returned next day for a scone before heading home. Being the time of year it was rather busy but we found a table easy enough and also didn’t feel rushed in any way.

I spotted Mimi’s as I left Waverley station. As soon as I opened the door the 2 staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. We were given menus and invited to take a seat and return to the counter to order..I ordered 2 filled rolls and 2 coffees which cost just over £15..I thought it was a bit pricey, however when the rolls arrived I couldn’t believe the size of the portions..We were each presented with a ciabatta, the bacon one had at least 4/5 rashers and the black pudding one had 2 thick slices..They tasted amazing and they were so big that we couldn’t finish them. The coffees were excellent, the perfect temperature and a good size of cup.Lovely decor and very clean and well presented.I will definitely be going back..

I had lunch at Mimi’s with a friend last week. She had a bacon roll which was packed with bacon and was delicious. I had the avocado on sourdough toast with poached eggs which was glorious. The service was friendly and quick. The only minus was the lack of space and the tables being really close together, but it is behind Waverley station so I’m guessing they are aiming at people who’re passing through for a bite rather than a leisurely lunch.

I was being a grump old moo when I arrived here for tea and a scone yesterday. A lovely member of staff defused me before I erupted and presented me with a top up to my pot of earl grey tea and a delicious hot apple and spiced scone. Don't hang around the busy Edinburgh's Waverley station, Opposite the Market Street entrance is a gem of a place to have soup, sandwiches and good coffee etc with the friendliest staff you'll find in town. We are regular visitors. Typically last eve I had a long day return journey with a quick family gathering and turn around and they couldn't be more accommodating with our needs. Demi was on the case providing brilliant customer service and making us so welcome at the end of the a busy day. A big thanks!

Popped in here for lunch during a day out to Edinburgh. We had two sandwiches - one with cheese and chutney and the other with honey roast ham and mustard mayo. Both were a decent size, very tasty and came with crisps and salad. I think they were around £7.20 each which is more expensive than other sandwich places but I felt it was reasonable for what we got. Staff were really friendly which is always plus to any place.

Located at the bottom of a long flight of stairs, or just outside Waverley station if you don’t fancy climbing down from above is this nice and friendly bakery. After a long morning walking around the sights of Edinburgh, Mimi’s was the perfect stop to gear up for the rest of the day. The lady behind the counter was an absolute sweetheart and gave everyone some great recommendations. With five in our group, we all grabbed a coffee or some hot chocolate to keep us running. I, personally, grabbed a caramel latte that was absolutely delicious. I downed the whole thing within ten minutes and was tempted to go back for more. Unfortunately, we were already well on our way to Arthur’s Seat. I will definitely be going back a couple times before the end of my stay in Edinburgh and maybe even try one of the scones that seem to be a store favorite.

This is a nice cafe with wholesome brunches and quality cakes, cupcakes, breakfast and lunches. However, it needs to diversify more and offer more vegan and gluten-free options, as we hardly had any options available, which was disappointing. Although the quality of meals and produce used is rich, delicious and high, their curried lentil soup could do with more flavour and zest. The staff were nice and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a pleasant, bright cafe that can be accessed from Market Street right opposite the "back" entrance to Waverley Station or from the City Art Gallery next door. On offer are cakes and snacks, sandwiches made to order, some hot food and breakfast items. I chose a bacon roll made with Ramsay of Ayrshire bacon and offered on white or brown roll. I chose the former and my only disappointment was that a self-professed Scottish baker puts delicious and perfectly cooked Scottish bacon on to a faux Italian "roll" - either a "panini" or a "ciabatta" roll (forgive my ignorance). It was, I give you, large and the bacon was generous and it tasted fine but, call me old fashioned, I do like a good Scots roll around my bacon.

I suppose we were spoilt having had our first experience of Mimi’s down at the Shore and I suppose I had high expectations, sadly I was disappointed. There were no tables free when we walked in but one did become available and as we had come off a delayed train and meeting family we just wanted a latte and so we put up with a dirty table. The cups were cleared but the table wasn’t wiped. I went up to order our coffees and the girl who served me was so friendly, genuinely and not forced and it is this service that will make Mimi’s because the latte’s were on the strong side and because we weren’t buying cakes on this occasion I feel that we could have been in any cafe anywhere, sorry Mimi’s!

It's a pleasant place, but we were disappointed in the food we ordered and found it very expensive : Two cheese and chutney sandwiches, which were rather on the dry side, and two cans of cola for £19. We asked for wine, but were told the licence wasn't yet active. The sandwiches came with a mound of crisps, but a few of them and a refreshing side salad, even just green leaves, would have been preferred. People around us were enjoying a coffee and a slice of what appeared to be really nice cake, so perhaps that's what to go for here.

Steht nirgends. Also am Tresen bestellt. Es dauerte 50 Minuten für "fast food". Alles etwas klebrig, keiner hat gefragt, ob man noch etwas trinken möchte. Fish u Chips waren naja, Burger war ok. Insgesamt so gar nicht unser Ding.
