GONE! despite a website that let me download a menu and details of opening times, I arrived to find an empty building available to let so went to the Old Forge instead.

What a hidden gem if you’ve never been please visit the food was hot filling freshly cooked to order and so much for your money the staff are friendly and helpful and it’s so cosy and homely will definitely be visiting again x

Hello everyone, This is a warning to NOT go to this cafe (if you can even call it that). Me and my girls came here for a brunch and I was disgusted with what I saw and received. Firstly, the waitress. I don’t quite recall her name, however, she had blonde hair and glasses. She was extremely rude and disrespectful to my transgender friend. She glared and laughed at her with her colleagues. This is NOT an LGBTQIA+ inclusive cafe (once again, if you can call it that). Secondly, the food. I ordered a full english with potato cake. The potato cake was slimy and sausages cold. I have been ill since my experience (I won’t go into too much detail regarding this). My friend was served slimy eggs with brown avocado. It was a vile experience. The tea was tepid and pale, my friends milkshake was clumpy and sour tasting. The toilets were unhygienic and there was residue of the person before. I saw one of the chefs rearrange their crotch, not wash his hands and smell them. Overall, this experience was terrible and the owners ought to be ashamed of themselves for not implementing basic hygiene and customer service training. Disgraceful.

Had breakfast while waiting for the car to be cleaned. Excellent food in clean and friendly surroundings. Toast came with real butter!

I found the food quite greasy, so would guess the bacon and sausage is cooked in oil as opposed grilled. Nice environment and good service though

Called in at Milligan's for the first time, my wife had eaten there several times, and was very pleased. I had the Full English Breakfast, everything was hot and well cooked, the service was friendly but respectful, A very simple straight-forward menu. What more could you wish for/

We were with my husband and daughter for brunch. Very poor service. I didn't expect restaurant service from the cafe. But we waited 45 minutes for 3 chicken burgers!!! I hoped that at least the quality of the food would compensate us for the loss of time, but no: the chicken was cold when I cut the fillet in half, it was raw and pink inside. I wanted to get out of there faster, so I didn't even complain. In the salad there was one circle of cucumber and one circle of tomato, which had obviously been cracked days earlier. Lost time and money. The staff, instead of dealing with the guests, stood and talked to each other (5 people). I've never seen such terrible places

What a gem of a find. Had car valeted so popped in for a quick lunch. Exceptionally clean on entering, greeted by very friendly and polite staff. Drinks arrived promptly after ordering (I hate waiting for my drink, even worse if my drink arrives after my food). Smiling waitress, not often seen these days, obviously enjoying her job. In fact all staff seemed happy, Then the food, well that was our main reason for visiting, it was very good quality, hot, portioned well and obviously cooked to order. Would I recommend…yes without a doubt, we will be returning to try the breakfast I have seen so highly recommended on here.

From the moment my son and i walked in the door to finishing our meal we were made to feel like valued customers . The service and food were 5 star . Great atmosphere and very clean . Steak for breakfast cooked to perfection , Tasty , hot and fresh . Best place for a breakfast in Northants . Eat there and you will enjoy the experience and food very much .

Had a brilliant brunch with family and friends. We all chose something different and everyone was very happy. I had the breakfast and could not fault it. The omelettes looked really nice with plenty of filling, I will be back and will be trying one. The staff are really friendly, everything is clean and it has a lovely atmosphere. I have visited here twice in the last week for 2 Birthday lunches with colleagues. We pre-ordered our food and it was served promptly on arrival. Really good sized portions and tasty food. Really good value for money, a hidden gem as a lot of people don't realise it's there. Highly recommend!

Took some friends for brunch, I tried the panini with bacon and brie, what a treat, my friends had the full English, we all left with full bellies

This great family eatery was packed when we popped in on a Saturday afternoon, and yet we were only kept waiting for 10 minutes. A good family selection on the menu, and our order took long enough to confirm that it was freshly cooked, but yet not too long. We all enjoyed our nicely presented choices. A family resturant full with families with children enjoying themselves, and yet the noise level was quite low and we really enjoyed this our first visit to Milligan's Kitchen.

A friend took my wife and I for brunch, not as busy as usual, but we were late morning, my Full English was magic, glad I had not had cereals earlier, we all enjoyed our meals, friendly staff, good service

Regular user, and always been very happy with the food and service from the team. They've now added a vegan breakfast to the menu which is a great addition and is of the usual high standard.

My wife was in hospital, to save time and me cooking, popped into Millagans for breakfast, been up since 5am, so my full English was most welcome, cooked to perfection, friendly owners and staff, I'm glad to say my wife is safely back home, and recovering from the operation

Stopped off in here on Saturday morning with Mrs. Food was good - I had a great bacon sandwich ? Drinks and service also good. Would have been 5 stars if I could have got some bread pudding to take home !!

Called in on our way to the northants bike meet at little Addington, a group of 10 hungry bikers, we all had the full english with tea, some had extra black pudding or toast, everyone agreed the breakfast was very good with a choice of how you want your eggs with nice polite service, a definite worth a visit if in the area whether on bikes or in a car.

Nice people, nice staff, good quality. Very clean, with excellent parking. I live in the same town and quite regularly eat there.

I only dropped in for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. I thought it was just a roadside cafe but got a pleasant surprise. Nicely set out tables, free WiFi and two areas with soft sofas. It is also very spacious so you won’t get someone’s elbow in your soup or be deafened by a drama queen on the next table with no volume control.

Went on a bank holiday and it was fab. Interesting menu, quick friendly service and reasonable prices. I will definitely returneith family and friends to try their day time menu too

My parents come here all the time and told me about their burgers so I thought I would give one a try....wow wonderful burger so meaty, the service was very friendly and made us feel very welcome , when we finished we did not feel rushed to leave. Would recommend:)

Had the best breakfast at Milligans today. The food is always spot on and cooked exactly how I like it. The staff are always friendly and care that my family and I always have an enjoyable experience. They are always friendly even when they are faced with awkward customers. I don't live close to Milligans but am always prepared to travel for the best breakfast by a mile. Thoroughly recommend it

We are overjoyed to have found this place. We popped in for brunch and although the place was packed the staff were able to accommodate us. We ordered a small breakfast and an eggs on toast with mushrooms.

Found this place in passing, after a long journey and still a way to go, my family and I decided to stop off here, especially as it busy. We are pleased that we did, the staff were very welcoming, even though it was very busy, the decor was warm and the place comfortable. We order a number of different dishes. All arrived looking very appetising, and I'm pleased to say that it tasted as good as it looked. We will definitely be making a detour again to come back. Thank you

I regularly eat here, but today was a disgrace, the "chef" seemed to have an inability to cook poached eggs, I asked for them medium as I usually do so that the yolk is still runny but the white is thoroughly cooked, well! First they came and the white was shaking like jelly so they took them back and I watched as they scraped the snotty white off and put them under the light, she kept dabbling them with tissue and prodding them with her fingers, when they arrived at the table they looked like they had been through a mincer! Obviously they were sent back! meanwhile my friends food arrived, looked perfect but the beans were cold and the mushrooms only luke warm,

Very rare to get scrambled egg that isn’t done in a microwave but the eggs here are amazing. Only minus the sausage could be better. Worth a return visit.

We have been running backwards and forwards to Swansea, as a very dear friend was very poorly, our friend Lyn has been looking after pur little Norfolk Terrier, she would not accept anything, so we treated her to breakfast, only one place to go, she thoroughly enjoyed her meal,they we were busy but if you nook a table in advance it's never a wait I g game, first class food, cooked to perfection

We had to dash to see a very sick friend, friends offered to look after our Norfolk Terrier, as a big tjamk you we took our friend for a slap up breakfast, there was only one place to go, Milligans Kitchen, it was up to the high standard they have set, it is now important to book, to avoid waiting for a table, we all went home satisfied.

You know the feeling. On your way back from shopping, your tummy grumbles and you wish there was a cafe in the way home! Well, as it turned out there was within 20 seconds of wishing for it. What a great start!

I hate to write this review as the lady who runs the place has always seemed lovely. However went here for breakfast on Saturday (She wasn’t there) just a bunch of younger female waitresses and I have to say the customer service was not up to scratch.

Thought I would try as I was Passing through should have kept going I am afraid not impressed ... Like so many of these Café there are all very much the same staff were ok .

I used to like this place, the food always seemed good and the staff were friendly (and Lord knows, Finedon needs all the help it can to foster community spirit). However, something has changed… the welcome, now, can be a hit or a miss, and sometimes can seem as cold and sour as a Mexican cocktail. This is a shame as people don’t always need the food; they look to be amongst the community and to be received as such (how does the quote go? “For it is money they have, and peace they lack”)

Visit number 2 for me and my lovely wife and this time we brought my father,,,again greeted with a big smile and a cheerie hello..the place was very busy which is a good sign and very clean ...now down to the nitty gritty was the food as good as last time (26,01,17) you bet it was my wife and dad had the full English me i had the veggie but swapped one of the quorn sausages for an egg the reason for this is because quorn sausages are a bit hit and miss when cooked but i must say your chef/cook pulled it off and produced a great breakfast from perfect fried eggs to piping hot beans (cold/warm beans I moan)..sorry it has been a year and 2 days since are last visit we will rectify this and be back next month (feb) with my brother as he lives in China and when he visits he always want a English breakfast and yours is the best by far.

Friendly staff, quick service but would have rather waited for 10 minutes & had hot bacon in a blt baguette. In a large baguette I’m pretty sure there was not much more than 1 rasher of bacon sliced up, if it was 2 then they were tiny rashers. Was hungry & looking forward to a satisfying lunch. Commented at the till when paying about lack of bacon, no real response. Sounds petty but who knows, feedback is everything to a small independent business. Hope it doesn’t come across as too whingy! Sorry guys.

La comida estaba bien, el café muy bueno. El problema fue la rapidez del servicio, la cual yo creo que es principalmente por falta de personal: el chef, una camarera y otro que sirve 30 - 40 personas. Esperamos bastante antes de nuestra orden fue tomada, luego de una hora y media antes de la comida llegó. Incluso entonces la mantequilla en el pan de ajo no había derretido. . Envió a aparecer. Sin disculpa después todos habíamos terminado nuestra comida. Es una pena, este lugar tiene el potencial de ser genial.

One day all cafes will be as good as this !!! Clean, tables all set and nicely placed with a couple of sofa areas as well. Good flexible breakfast menu with extras and swaps. Food arrived freshly cooked within 10 minutes, and fried eggs that Gordon Ramsey could not have found fault with. Excellent, thank you for your great service.

Popped in with a work colleague as working locally and he recommended the diner for a Friday Fry Up. Got there just before 10am and found it quiet with only a couple of tables occupied. We ordered Breakfast's from the menu which had a good selection, with a pot of a tea to share. The tea came swiftly, but had to wait a good 40mins for the food to arrive. It was tasty, but we were forced to rush it due to time. Shame really as it is ideally located for those who want their car washed too whilst waiting.

My girlfriend and I popped in for breakfast & were welcomed with a friendly smile. We were seated immediately. Our order was soon taken. Our drinks arrived very quickly with our food not far behind. Very fast, very friendly and very tasty. Highly recommended.

First time for all of us today..2 full English a mega breakfast and a veggie one for me and all four of us thought it was excellent,,it's nice to go place this day and age where they can cook an egg... we was all beaten by the size of the meals even the filter coffee was good,the staff was very polite and friendly and everything was very clean and tidy...One minus was my wife didn't like the potato scone but it also become a plus's because I did so I had two lol...We will be back☺

I met a friend here for lunch during December. It was easy to find, easy to park, the food is nice and reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. Service was quick and I was on the whole pleased with my meal and my surroundings.

I started calling in here whenever I have my car cleaned out and stopping for a coffee. Coffee became lunch and the food is first class and the service even better particularly the charming young lady behind the counter. Oh to be 30 years younger and 30 kgs lighter.

We come often as a family, but I come here a lot on business. It is a perfect space to either meet clients or to chill on one of the high stools or couches with my Mac coding. Such a brilliant atmosphere. Staff are always super friendly and the coffee...THE COFFEE IS LEGIT! It is SO GOOD! Love love love Milligans!

Took my son for lunch today and even though we were too early to order , we could order our lunch , no problem. The Staff were all wonderful and attentive and made me and my son feel fully relaxed. We had the wonderful home made Burger, which i highly rate as it was tasty, containing no horrible grisly bits .. Loved it .. Looking forward to going back again very soon ... PS ... From previous visits i think that their breakfasts are the best in Northants. :-D

Popped in for the afternoon tea but it wasn't available on a weekend - they're missing a trick there ! Ended up having a breakfast which was fab. Loved everything and it was hot and fresh. Kitchen is open to view so no hiding anything. Basic inside but comfy chairs and a nice friendly atmosphere. Car wash immediately outside so got the car clean at the same time. All in all well worth a visit for a cuppa and snack if you're out that way.

Simply put I could not fault it. The atmosphere was friendly with smiling caring waiting staff. The coffee and tea were delivered promptly as was the refills. The wait for the breakfasts was acceptable and indicated freshly cooked, and as a family member commented the fried eggs did not have a lacy edge or black bits. The food was delicious and generous in the portion size.

We came for a family breakfast together and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. I particularly enjoyed the potato cakes on the full English breakfast, would highly recommend it!

I'm fortunate to have had Milligans Kitchen cater all of The Caravan Company's show piece events during 2016 and they have delivered a high quality service everytime. The team at Milligans are excellent and are a credit to Tom and Zieta. The restaurant is modern and professional and the food and drink on offer is excellent. It is important to keep supporting local companies like Milligans. I'm delighted Milligans will be catering our 2017 events and have no hesitation in recommending them for any occasion.

Been in quite a few times as live local. Great food, fantastic service always friendly and they make my son the best cup of tea. Definitely worth a visit even if your just driving through.

We popped in for breakfast, I had poached egg and hubby had a bacon sandwich. There is nothing fantastic in our food options to make this stand out from another cafe, but the comfortable seating, relaxed atmosphere, quick service cleanliness of the place is why we will most definitely pop back. You also get a full proper pot of tea! Sainsbury cafe has just lost a customer to Milligans, even if it's further to travel, it's worth it.

This is a cafe on the A6 in Finedon. We have been there for breakfast quite a few times and it has never failed to be anything than brilliant.Breakfasts are cooked fresh, to order, and if you don't require any items there is no problem with changing them for something else.Dietary requirements are catered for as well, which for me, being vegan, is a plus.

With free WiFi, excellent coffee, home cooked food and friendly amenable service, this has become our go-to venue for staff meetings. Situated next to a hand car wash site it's also useful to come out to a clean car.

Love this place. I've been a few times. The location is odd - behind a car wash place - but once you see it it looks ace. Has a real nice feel about it when you walk in. Tables and chairs for meals and sofas if you fancy a quick drink.I personally recommend the burgers. Hand made mince meat. Has a real personal touch. Also had breakfast there and again didn't disappoint. 5 out of 5.

We made a short detour to have an early breakfast (opens from 8:00am on a Saturday). Very tasty and well cooked - the bacon in particular was very good. Nicely presented and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and fine as we weren't in a hurry, but I suspect there may be a little wait when the place is full. Would definitely come here again.

This was an impromptu stop for lunch; the location appears to be a former garage/fuel station and there are a number of business on the site.I was actually getting my car valeted (they score 7/10 ...) and Milligan's was a perfectly placed option to while away the time and have lunch.The cafe is light, the décor is good and I really appreciated the fact that wifi was available and free. Finedon does seem to have been passed by when the phone companies were rolling out coverage!Probably the best part of my visit was the service provided by the waiting staff. My order was taken by a very pleasant happy chatty member of staff and the two that were serving were excellent at all times.Unfortunately, it all goes a bit downhill from here .....This cafe is 'open plan', as in, the kitchen area can be seen behind the counter, pretty much from anywhere that you may be seated. It's often a good sign that the actual preparation of the food is not hidden away but there is a rather unpleasant consequence of this. Only sometime after leaving the cafe did I realise that my clothing totally stank of fried food, not just a little bit but very strongly. Suffice to say, the dry cleaning bill for my jacket & trousers made this an expensive lunch overall!The food; well first of all the tea was luke warm, certainly not hot. I had ordered an omelette with chips; it would seem that the chef needs to work on their timings of food preparation as the chips were well overdone and mostly hard & crunchy, however, the omelette was way too undercooked, was watery & runny.The above cost £7.30p. If it had been of a good standard I'd have been fine with the price. As it was, I left there knowing that there are plenty of other similar establishments that do far better food for a better price.In summary, great waiting staff but the chef really needs to step up his/her game!!!

My partner and I decided to try this restaurant for breakfast and arrived at 9.20,there were a few occupied tables, after a little wait our order was taken and we received our drinks about 10 mins later, however we were not prepared for the very long wait for our food which arrived at 9.50! There was only the one waitress and a chef who was cooking to order, at 10 am, two more members of staff arrived, too late for us! Would not return,which is a shame as we like to support business in Finedon.

An absolute find for a quick lunch - tucked behind a car wash you could easily drive by - but well worth the visit. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Beautifully clean throughout and good menu. If you're in the area it's worth a visit.

Enjoyed breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Service was quick. Ordered a breakfast of bacon, veggie sausage, beans, mushrooms potato cake and poached egg. Was all very tasty. Only one glitch when the toast arrived about five minutes after the breakfast. Shame about the view but the inside is lovely with a country feel. With your back to the car wash and garage you can enjoy lovely food in a lovely cafe.

Just had my daughters 8th birthday party here. Afternoon Tea, with all the trimmings. All the food was delicately placed on vintage cake stands, milkshakes in tea cups and lots of homemade cakes, fruit sticks and very fresh sandwiches. The service was great, and even after a very busy service before, the place was immaculate and set out nicely. I would highly recommend Milligan's Kitchen for an afternoon tea party, there would even be room for a children's entertainer.Well done Zieta and Tom, my daughter is a very happy lady

After successfully catering The Caravan Company's March open weekend I was delighted that Milligans agreed to cater our summer event.I said in my last review that they are excellent people who serve good food and acted in a professional manner throught the event, during this event Tom and Zieta's team went above and beyond the call of duty to make our summer event successful and I thank them for that on behalf of the group.Keep up the excellent work all, it's great to be able to recommend another local business. It is certainly worth making a special trip to visit Milligans Kitchen as you will be assured of a warm welcome!

We come here all the time. It is down the road. The staff are SUPER friendly. The food is SPOT ON every time. I'm sat here working today enjoying fresh coffee, just enjoyed the Milligans Light breakfast. LOVE this place.Thanks guys x

Breakfast is my favourite meal and my family (wife and 2 teenage daughters) brought me here as a birthday treat today. We came because of the favourable reviews on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. The place itself is large, light and airy dining area with other areas set aside for children's activities (reading, colouring in, etc) and comfy sofa's for relaxing. Had a mega-breakfast which was traditional, tasty and very filling; I particularly liked the potato scone instead of the now ubiquitous hash-brown. Service was extremely friendly and efficient and I had the best breakfast I've ever had in Wellingborough. So a big thank-you to me family for bringing me here and a big thank-you to the waitress who looked after us so well. We'll be back!
