Once the food is out you can not fault it! Wine is perfect! Service is the down side! Could be faster or could be a little more with a better paste so that the server does not seem to have forgotten you! Atmosphere is always wonderful! Lovely surroundings and wonderful decor!

Only had one cause but had to wait 50 minutes for it.

Having given up on Miller & Carter’s ability to not over cook steak a couple of years ago after many meals where steaks were sent back after promises of cooking them correctly we ventured back with the lure of the new Sunday sharing platter (a combination of chicken, lamb and steak for 2) and a 50th birthday to celebrate. We rang up in advance to make sure the platter was being served on the Sunday in question and if 4pm was still a good time to ensure we could have this option. With positive responses to both questions we arrived hoping for a better experience than we previously had. Only to find out as soon as we arrived that they had run out of sharing platters! When we enquired what was missing from the platter we were told they had run out of prepared chickens, although they did have enough chickens they had failed to prepare enough and it would take a further hour to prepare more and an additional hour to then cook more. We were left confused and disappointed that it takes a professional kitchen an hour to prepare a chicken for roasting, why they hadn’t prepared more as they started to run short or why they were unwilling to substitute the chicken for another option. With two children with us and a birthday to celebrate we didn’t really want to wait 2 hours to eat so, having considered going elsewhere, we continued with ordering steaks. One well done, one medium rare and two blue. We discussed at great lengths that all our previous experiences (all be them a couple of years ago had been overcooked and returned steaks) had stopped us coming back so were very keen to share a strong hope for the steaks to not be overcooked. The waitress was lovely and clearly tried her best but the medium rare came very much medium well done and the blue steaks came with one rare and one a very cooked medium rare. A blue steak is the easiest steak to cook as it is literally seared but this failure to accept that a customer knows what they want is symptomatic of this restaurant’s kitchen and clearly nothing has changed. This mixed with their inability to have sufficient Sunday roast dinners on a Sunday and an unwillingness to resolve or offer any other solution again takes this option off the table for us again, which is a real shame as the setting is lovely, it is so close and Sutton is really missing a good steak restaurant.

The Mrs and I went here for the Sunday Sharing Board £64.50 The service was great Lovely warm atmosphere BUT the food was terrible I'm afraid.. We asked for Mid/Rare and parts of the lamb was mid/rare, medium and even more mid well.. the meat was tasteless especially the chicken that was DRY with little to no seasoning the only saving grace was the beef dripping gravy I think Miller and Carter are trying to reinvent the wheel with this one trying to be something it's not an alternative to a 13.99 Carvery Back to the drawing board with this one IF they ever left it?!

Meal was great but disappointed that I advised my husband to change his clothes from a track suit and trainers to two piece and shoes, only to arrive at surton coldfield to see others in sports wear and trainers double, standard. If you are going to have a dress code don't just advertise online but execute your dress code in practice when people arrive also.

Perfect very friendly nice food get what you pay for quality

My self and my partner was over that way and decided to call in for food . It was in a beautiful spot on the lake . On arrival we was greeted straight away by a nice man who got us a table sorted without us booking . I had the mushrooms for starter and my partner had calamari which was a really large portion and very tasty , for our mains I went for the ribs and him the steak . Both meals cooked to perfection and so tasty . Our waiter was a tall guy who was excellent and extremely polite only Down fall was I think he was on his own so people was waiting but that wasn’t his fault . We normally go to the burton one which is equally as good . And for a 2 course it’s only £16.95 Monday to say till 5 . Very impressed and will continue to use

Great time here for my birthday with my family! Our waiter, Matt P, was cheerful and always there when we needed something. Made the experience all that more special, will definitely be coming back again. One of our favourite places, never fails to amaze us.

First time here, very poor experience on the whole which spoilt a special occasion (80th birthday) Where do I start. Table was over half hour late. Starters came and calamari was cool and dried up. Sent it back, replacements came quick. Told to keep cutlery we had just used for starters to use with main course as you were "running out". On plus size Main course was excellent. We watched the kitchen hatch hot area and food was just stacking up. You did not have enough serving staff and could not cope with a regular saturday lunch time. God knows what it must be like on an evening. Has put me off the brand and its supposed "premium" experience. Its the same poor sizzler experience but with posher staff. Nope going again to this sutton park M&C.

Visited Sutton Park restaurant on sunday 13th October for a 6.30pm reservation made to celebrate my sons graduation. on arrival I was told there had been an incident in the kitchen and there was no service this evening! I had driven 40 minutes to get there to drive 40 mins home with no food! ended up in a pub for dinner...not quite the celebration we wanted. very disappointed 😞 not even a phone call ahead of the booking to let us know, disgraceful.

A waiter names Matt P served me and my family tonight . He was great , very attentive , any help or anything needed he was there . Defo recommend.

Lunch was great, etc but I was disappointed that my special request was ignored! I seen another person with a birthday and the waitress brought out their dessert with a candle so I was expecting the same for my daughter who was wearing a 30th badge & headband! Our waitress was friendly etc but she didn’t even wish her a happy birthday!

Matt P made my experience here amazing . I couldn’t recommend him any more than I will.

Paint chips and ceiling very nice 😆 maybe health and safety need to close the place as its ruff, at least the cafe has a clean ceiling, come on sort it out to see something and say nothing is a crime in its self as I already know that I won't get a reply or possibly a thanks for your feedback ,really!!!!!

Went out for a meal with the family. Starters were nice, camembert, sour dough and sticky chicken. On the mains, the burger and ribeye steak was OK. The 3 rump steaks were tough and the potatoes were dry. For a Sunday it felt pretty quiet, and the service seemed slow.

Luke gave great service. My mother's 60th birthday. Friendly, professional and attentive. The place was very busy but he made sure we were looked after. Thank you Luke

The staff are lovely and very friendly. Lovely view at the branch and we was able to get a window seat to celebrate our anniversary. Personally I would like a better range of flavoured vodkas as the ciroc pineapple was not in stock and there wasn’t another flavour for me. And the prices are quite high so it would be nice for a couple more offers or something that will encourage us to do this more regularly than just on special occasions

came here last week at half 9 to be told the kitchens closed, just pure lies! We could see a booking for 9:30 available and traveled all that way so how is it closed? They clearly couldn’t be bothered to serve us at that time, but the restaurant is open till 11

I’ve always been a fan and g this restaurant but tonight food and service were awful . Took 20 minutes just to order a drink , so bad start . Ordered chicken which was bone dry and no sauce . Asked waiter for gravy which he said he could get chicken gravy , arrived with a beef dripping gravy , awful and I did not eat the meal . Other meal was a rib eye steak which was grizzly. Onion bake burnt . Toilets dirty and no toilet roll . Use to be a great consistent restaurant . How sad , won’t be back .

Had the côte de boeuf which was cooked to perfection. We always suggest, however the chef wants to send the meat out and is always spot on. We had a very friendly welcome from Courtney who also served us. This is really the place to go if you’re a carnivore.

It's okay but it's overpriced for what it is. 170 for 4 meals and drinks isn't what I'd call value. It's once a year at max maybe that's my expectations. Service was quite slow 45 minutes and it wasn't that busy in there.

Me and my wife recently visited Miller & Carter Sutton Park and had a fantastic experience. I tried two different steaks, both cooked to perfection with great flavor and tenderness. The mushrooms with cheese were a delicious side, rich and savory. I also sampled four different cocktails, each one unique and expertly mixed—definitely a highlight of the meal! To finish, I had a dessert that was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing evening. The ambiance was cozy, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience!

Food didn't seem up to the usual standard this time. Fillet was fine but other steaks were full of grissle/fat. Beef drippin sauce didn't seem to have much taste and the red wine sauce was tasteless. I usually enjoy the food here so might be a bad experience.

What a great experience and brilliant food Luke the server was absolutely brilliant just enough attention , explained everything for us and food was served quickly. Asked if it was a special occasion- it was and bought some ice cream and a plate with happy anniversary on it , also wrote on the receipt- small things but very thoughtful which added to the great experience

A large party booking nicely accommodated with friendly serving staff. Felt like fast delivery even with a busy service. The majority of the food was wonderful and tasty and happy customers. Booked for 7:45 pm on a Sunday very busy so if you don't like a loud atmosphere I would advise going at a quiet time. We had a large party and had a table towards the edge of the restaurant so the atmosphere was fine for us. If you have a large party it's best to book in advance.

Excellent food as always. The views over the lake are amazing and add to the overall experience. Staff are always polite and service was quick. Definitely coming back soon!

Went for our anniversary, Moria was a fantastic Hostess, making us feel welcome and accommodated. Despite being the last table of the night, our every need was catered for. The Black Angus sirloin was cooked to perfection and the desserts were beautiful. We'll be returning with high expectations.

Matt P was an incredible server. We had a couple of allergies and he took great care in explaining what we could and could not have. He even explained that they had taken an item off the dish due to an allergy being present, and offered to add it to the side for my partner who didn’t have an allergy. He made our meal extra special in all the right ways. Thank you!!!

Came here for me and my other halves Anniversary, and we were blown away at how gorgeous the interior of the restaurant was. Gorgeous, cozy, and had a great mood with the lighting and interior. We originally had a window table overlooking the lake, but asked to move to somewhere a bit more secluded and intimate. And they moved us with no issue whatsoever - major thanks to whoever was originally gonna be our server for letting us move. We then had the amazing serving skills and company of Matt P. who was up for laugh, had a good old chit chat, wished a happy anniversary, and also surprised us with a lovely Anniversary Desert. He played such a big part in making us have a fantastic meal. The chiefs also just know how to make a meal taste like the best thing you’ve ever eaten! Props to them, and can’t thank them enough for the Butchers Block they made. Nothing was left on any plate! Thank you so much to everyone at Sutton! You’ve made our Anniversary a little bit more special ❤️ Regards Adam x

Visited miller & carter for first time today in Sutton Coldfield with my mum. our server Matt P. was absolutely brilliant from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. nothing was too much trouble , he was attentive throughout and delivered a first class service. we enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely be returning.
