Miller & Carter Steakhouse - Aylesbury Vale in Aylesbury Vale

We had a reservation for family lunch on Sunday. Half of tables was free, it wasn’t busy Sunday for this steakhouse. We’ve ordered three courses meals for three people. I wanted cauliflower wings as a starter, and I had CHICKEN WINGS after 40 minutes of waiting!! We had drinks quickly, but after that my husband was waiting for 25 minutes for another drink! Waiter was ignoring our table. He said “it’s very busy, and you have to wait” - that’s it! After ONE HOUR we had stakes. We’ve ordered medium rare steaks, and then we had well done 🤦🏻‍♀️ AFTER ONE HOUR OF WAITING. Waiter said we can wait for new ones… probably another 30 minutes. This is some kind of joke. We’re so disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this place. We will not go back for sure. Waist of time and money!!!

Celebrated my Nan’s 90th here with a party of 20 people. We cannot fault anything. The food was delicious- all hot and came out at the same time. No issues with wrong orders or missed items, very impressive for a three course meal for 20 people! The service was exceptional, a special shout out to Ibby our steak specialist who was friendly and attentive throughout. We all had a wonderful time, thank you.

Not recommend . Having to say I have planned to visit them every week . Very dissatisfying service . The restaurant was completely empty, nevertheless I have been seated at smallest table between elderly couples. Could not relax. Could not enjoy. Could not eat /talk. Table was dirty. More than that been charged double than the price on the menu

Great value for money as we had lunchtime special, calamari and steak, wine always good but a little cramped while eating, also nice that they allowed my support dog in with me for the dinner we had before and it was a good experience. Dinner was delicious

Absolutely fabulous visit, brilliant attentive but not over bearing staff, who were fabulous throughout. They made a special gesture with something special when finding out we were celebrating a special big birthday for our son. A truely great evening, the food was devine and there were 4 totally empty plates at the end, a shame we didn't have space for dessert because I'm certain it would have been amazing. Thank you team

Visited with my partner and a very disappointing experience. Firstly, I know this is a steak restaurant but as a vegetarian that goes with my meat-eating family the very limited options have not changed since my first visit well over a year ago. Secondly my partner’s steak was not as ordered, the waitress offered for a new one to be cooked but that we’d need to pay for both in that case. Two people on our table had ordered this steak from our party and the quality and cut was clearly different. This should have been a treat for us, but we couldn’t pay for an extra serving and so my partner was left without any food after we sent it back. They obviously operate a customer is wrong and we know better policy.

Hannah was amazing !!! We came to miller and carter as a family for a birthday celebration on the 20th October 2024. And she was so observant and gave us all th information we needed. Really polite girl. Huge asset to this restaurant. The Sunday sharer board was amazing and cooked to perfection. Massive shout out to the chefs as well!!

Hi I was at miller and carter and I ordered a Rib eye stake and I was tried to be fobbed off with Rump stake. Is not nice when the manager comes out and tries to give you that I was at the butchers when they cut the Rib eye stake. What I would like to ask is that, why didn't they just come up and say we don't have any more Rib eye would you rather have something else? For the sake off £15 over. The manager lady that evening realised that she was wrong and walked away with the stake. Dear Miller and Carter Aylesbury sort your self out and deal the real stake. Not nice

Had an amazing dinner with my family. Good and atmosphere was great. Magdalena was so friendly, helpful and a lovely individual. She made our time wonderful.

Had a lovely lunch - exceeded expectations. Prawn cocktail was one of the best, lovely large prawns. I had the pork tomerhawk with apple sauce and it was delicious, perfectly cooked. Our server was Harith who couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive - thank you. We’ll be coming back soon.

The service was good, but the food was overpriced for what was very average food. There was a table of 10 men fairly close by that had lots to drink and were extremely loud. Management ought to ask them to consider other diners.

Food amazing! Magda is an amazing waitress and is so lovely to be served by her.

Food was outstanding, no issues there. The restaurant was quiet which I expected would mean prompt and attentive service. Our server was polite and funny however it took over 10 minutes from being seated to having our order taken, the main meal arrived well after we finished our starters and we then sat with empty plates and glasses for roughly 10 minutes before catching the server's eye. Dessert took almost 30 minutes to arrive meaning our three course meal took 2 hours to complete. All in all, not the service levels I expected for the price that is charged. Seeing servers cleaning tables and preparing for the following day while you're waiting to have your table cleared and next course delivered leaves a bitter taste.

All staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. Menu choice is really varied and of good quality. The service is prompt and efficient. Izabela is a credit to your restaurant.

Amazing steakhouse, went twice as I was in Aylesbury only a short while. I ordered their house steak and a full rack of ribs to share and they were amazing; great sauce and sides too. Definitely try their king prawn. On the second visit I had Harith as my server and he was very helpful; had good a chat aswell. His dessert recommendation was spot on and made the visit seamless as it should be. Although I won't be around Aylesbury for a while, I would come again just for Harith.

Why do they always let you choose your food before they tell you it isn't available! Our server was fabulous but the menu restrictions let it down on the night we visited. It was an ok dinner but not what we really wanted and we decided to leave after the main course. Would return but not high up on the list for the moment.

The meal was completely I'm edible, not cooked. On arrival we was told lack of staff but would u mind waiting for 45 mins, we then ordered and it was awful and we could not eat them at all, had meal removed off bill but has ruined my birthday celebrations. We will not be returning ever again 😒

Your buffalo wings where very small this time, I wish the chef had put more to compensate for the small portions, I had them in my last two visits and the portions where way bigger, not fault of the staff but I wish they took it off the bill or gave a bigger portion. Still tipped a large amount as it was not fair to the waiting staff.

Person who served was brilliant and knowledgeable. Kitchen let you down. One burger was burnt black, it's replacement was dry and tasteless. Signature experience was disappointing as the meat was not medium rare as ordered (overcooked) and tough. In comparison two of our party ordered rib-eye which was delicious

Meets your expectations of a Miller & Carter restaurant. Most of the staff were lovely and attentive, shame diners were squished into one area. I do understand why, especially at quieter times.

Came for a 21st birthday. Food was amazing. Great chefs! Service was excellent and Ibby our server was so lovely, even working on his 19th birthday he had a big smile on his face the whole time. Thank you Ibby.

Apart from the wait for food due to staffing which the management apologised for and without us complaining they gave us our wine and desserts on the house as their way of apologising for the delay. We will definitely be going back again.

Visited Miller and Carter last night my first ever visit. There was clearly a problem, food took up to 2 hours to arrive, people were leaving and not happy. However our waiter for table 28 was professional and attentive and when our food arrived it was delicious. My experience wouldn’t put me off visiting again.

Really enjoyed our Lamb rump and small creme brulee. First time there. Had a 35 min wait for meal, but then it's being cooked not reheated. Stephanie our waitress was very attentive. Decor, smart and well done. We went quite early at 6.30pm. It gradually filled and became ever so slightly noisy. Prices leaning toward high side, but again you pay for a quality, tasty meal. Will return soon to try other meals on the menu.

Friendly professional service. Well looked after. Reasonable wait for order. Cooked beautifully. Above & beyond service when waiter realised it was my sons 12th Birthday, so he brought out a dessert plate wishing him happy birthday wrote I chocolate on it.

Very much enjoyed our evening at Miller & Carter Aylesbury. I had steak which was delicious along with all the included sides. Our waiter was Max who gave us excellent service. We will definitely be revisiting very soon.

We arrived to find out that the kitchen was having gas supply problems. However, the lady who took our reservation assured us that it would be up and running soon so we had drinks in the bar. Unsure of which wine to purchase, the barman happily allowed us to try various wines until we selected one. On having our meal, our server Harith was outstanding! His knowledge, attentiveness and attention to detail was second to none and he made our visit top notch! Both food and service was fabulous! We will definitely be returning.

Ibby was an amazing host and was extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing food as well. It was fairly busy when I went but he was still available whenever you needed something. Would highly recommend!

We went for dinner at millar and carter, we had ibby as a waiter ( sorry if spelt wrong ) he was so lovely it made our night it was my birthday a few days ago and he made me a happy birthday plate with chocolate and waffles . It was a lovely experience.

Had a gorgeous meal here last night. Our waitress was outstanding. I didn’t get her name but she was a blonde lady - super attentive, friendly and spot on with my 10 year old nephew.

Our first time at this restaurant. Our server Harith was both polite and helpful. Good atmosphere and very clean. Food was excellent.

Service was slow, our starters came out before our drinks which was a bit strange. Most of the food was really good, although the fillet steak had fatty gristle in it, again strange. However, Ibby our waiter was extremely kind and attentive to us, he made our evening!

This was our first time at Miller and Carter. We waited over 40 minutes between starters and main. They did not have all the desserts, that were on the menu. The food we had, was presented and cooked very well, for a Tuesday we were disappointed at the wait we experienced.

Our first visit to Miller and Carter and not sure we would rush back. 2.5 hours to do 3 courses is just a tad too long for our liking. Ordered a large g and t which we specifically requested only had a smidge of t arrived with the gin drowning and gasping for life. Initially told there was nothing to be done to rectify but on the 2nd time of asking they kindly took it off the bill. Starters were good, burrata and calmari Calamari was crispy not greasy and not over cooked. Main of chateau briand requested medium rare but a sizeable chunk was bleu. Good flavour on the steak and bearnaise sauce, baby pots were good too. The onion loaf we would ditch from the menu along with the lettuce wedge (don't see the point of the wedge). Onion loaf is a flabby, soggy, greasy cold replacement for Onion rings. We discovered its because its made with gluten free flour as is the chocolate brownie which sticks to your teeth like a rabbit trying to eat a banana. We get the need to cater for dietary requirements but for the % of people who are celiac don't punish everyone else as a result especially on bought in items. Harith our waiter was great, good rapport with customers, happy and confident and he rescued what could have been a really disappointing evening.

Hearty plates of food. Well presented and well cooked. The chefs are great and cooked the steaks perfectly. The waitress was genuinely attentive to detail when it came to allergies and intolerances and took the matter seriously. Her smile was lovely, and communicated well. She clearly loved her job. It's a smart restaurant and is clean, tidy, and presented well on the decoration front.

Had a really nice lunch experience at Miller & Carter Aylesbury. Ibby was friendly, food and drink were all delicious.

We were greeted and wished Happy Anniversary on arrival at the entrance to the restaurant and by our fantastic waitress Magdalena. The service was excellent and the Butchers Block was cooked to perfection. A nice little touch on our desert plate to top it off. Would recommend a visit.
