Lovely to be back indoors. Always a tad anxious as a solo diner, but Chloe and the team made sure I was well looked after, and I could read my book and people watch to my heart's content! Even after all this time away, the vibe inside was positive, chatty and friendly. The food was delicious, as always. It's like the staff have never been away. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

We came for lunch and the meal was ok.. we had the three courses for £15..Starters of garlic bread( which I enjoyed) but my partners calamari was just average. I enjoyed my steak sandwich but again my partner said his steak was quite fatty and we make better at home. The most disappointing thing is that the crumble was out of stock so I asked for the banofee pie off the main menu to be told it was not an option but I could pay extra. Not my fault the crumble was out of stock... in then end we both decided not to bother with the puddings. We got the bill when we didn’t ask for it and we’re told we couldn’t order any more drinks.. I understand the lockdown rules but we had a substantial meal..Such ashame, we can say we’ve been but won’t be returning! Small griffins head pub round the corner is much more accommodating!

We went for dinner one night, just to celebrate being able to go out! We were looked after by Chloe and she was wonderful - super chatty, super polite and really made the experience super enjoyable for us. I suffer from anxiety and so having someone treat me like this was really helpful and ease my anxiety so much so again Chloe, thank you so much for your service!The food and drink was lovely as expected but Chloe really was the star of the night, thanks again!

Been a few times before and had really good meals. Ordered the ribeye steak, medium rare. A bit too fatty for my liking and was rare in parts. Expensive for what you get. Redeeming feature was the service from Justina.

Came here for my birthday meal and safe to say I was not disappointed. The venue was very covid safe with masks being required when moving from the table which made it more comfortable, and yes, the food and drinks were excellent, but what topped the night for us was our super host Chris H!! He gave us the best service I have ever received at a restaurant with his bubbly and polite manner and being an overall friendly guy. Thank you for making the end to my birthday superb!

I had a beautiful steak meal here on Sunday night with my parents. It isn’t cheap but the food is gorgeous. Our waitress ashleigh was super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.

I don't really know where to start with this review because it truly is the most amazing place me and my partner have ever been. From the atmosphere to the food, it was all outstanding!! Our waitress Nicola was so polite, attentive, informative, friendly and her customer service made the visit a memorable one! Me and my partner both had the 12oz sirloin steak and it really was the best steak we have both ever eaten! Both cooked to pure perfection! They follow the Government guidelines for covid which makes you feel safe which isn't easy to do anywhere yet they seem to have mastered it all perfectly!! Your team work so efficiently and professionally and although it was fully booked you didn't feel at all concerned as everyone was well spaced out throughout the whole restaurant and the food was still delivered very quickly which we was both shocked at as we expected to have to wait a little while. We have already recommended to friends and family and will 100% be visiting again. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Some friends insisted I come meet them at this restaurant, they have been many times and wanted to share why. I was not disappointed! this is the best dinning experience I have ever had. Such a warm welcome at the door by management, and so well looked after by our server who really knew his stuff and was able to make some perfect recommendations for drinks and steaks, and was very entertaining. The food was all simply perfection, arrived right when we wanted it, looked amazing, and could not have tasted better. honestly the best steak I have ever had. We all felt very safe with the many practical Covid precautions put in place. Thank you for such a lovely experience and I will be visiting as often as I can.

Just arrived home after a fantastic meal out and felt I ought to write a review! What an amazing place. Not only did we find the staff to be attentive and fantastic with our two daughters (ages 4 and 7), but we also found their maintenance of COVID precautions to be absolutely top notch (something which unfortunately cannot be said about every establishment at the moment!). The food was excellent- so good in fact that our youngest daughter literally licked her plate clean! We can't wait to eat out here again and cannot recommend it enough.

Me and my boyfriend came here for my birthday on 26/09/20 for the first time ever and were absolutely blown away by the evening we had. Place is beautiful and social distancing is done brilliantly. Food was incredible and definitely worth every penny, we will definitely be coming again. The server we had however was by far one of the best myself and my boyfriend have had in a long time. Big thank you to Justyna who bless had only been there a few weeks she told us but was professional, polite and very smiley even with masks on. She made our birthday meal a very special one and cannot thank you enough for all you did for us this evening. Would definitely recommend to others as everything here is absolutely spot on from the service to drinks and food. Loved every second.☺️

We recently visited to celebrate our Anniversary and had a wonderful time. We were warmly greeted at the door and our server, Chris H, was charming and attentive. We had the sharing steak, on Chris’s recommendation, and it was delicious. And ‘Happy Anniversary’ written on our dessert plates was a lovely surprise. We will definitely visit again!

Visited Miller & Carter for the first time at Sherwood Forest for my partners 40th birthday. The meal and service was excellent would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon. Also wanted to mention our server called Nicola who was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us she also suprised my partner with a birthday dessert which was so thoughtful and such a lovely touch.

What a refreshing visit with my family! Staff were absolutely excellent. They made us feel very safe with measured social distancing, but were still warm and welcoming. The restaurant was set out with guidance markers and had sanitiser stations on the way in. More importantly the food was excellent! I had perfectly cooked scallops, and a perfectly cooked 16oz Ribeye! It is so refreshing to have a steak that is seasoned and rested properly! I also had a side of barbacoa mac and cheese and it was exceptionally tasty! I really enjoyed the banoffie pie as it was topped with caramelised bananas which was a very nice touch! My step daughter loves the theatre of the bell ringing and chefs cheers! Thoroughly good experience!

We had a meal booked out for my partners birthday here and we had never been before and it really didn’t disappoint! The food was amazing and we both said it was the best steak we had ever had. But a massive thanks to our waitress Emily! She was so friendly and fantastic at her job, and even though my partner didn’t want a dessert she still put him a little something together for a happy birthday slate and it really is those little touches that make you want to go back. So we will most certainly be back!

Came here for food with a few family members and was served by a wonderful young lady called Chloe. She’s a great asset to the team! She was extremely polite and very helpful, didn’t hesitate to help us find what really complimented our meals. Chloe made our outing worth it and I’ll definitely be coming again purely for her excellent service, great balance between being professional and a genuine real person, can tell she loves what she does! She was brilliant, 10/10 Also, the food was superb.

Me and my partner had our first post lockdown meal kid free! Everything was so lovely, the food quality, service and atmosphere was all perfect. The knowledge the waitresses had was amazing as she recommended a steak I had never had and it is now my new favourite!

We were a table of 6 for my mother-in-law's 60th birthday and it couldn't have been any better. Amazing food and perfect service all night. Brilliantly set up for the current COVID situation with hand sanitiser on arrival, a clear one-way system and a separate entrance/exit.We had a variety of steak dishes and a butcher's burger, and everyone without exception mentioned how incredible the food was. Would definitely recommend and will certainly go again.

For a chain restaurant the food is second to none. Constancy of the quality and the service makes this place special. Whether your looking for a romantic meal, meeting up with Friends or with the kids this place is for all. Kyle F was our server on this occasion and really did pull out all the stops to Impress our friends, who had never been to a miller and carter. This place is a must visit!!!!

We came for my 21st birthday and it was beyond expectations. We were served by Leanne and she couldn’t do enough. Our drinks were always full and the food was cooked perfectly and arrived in a timely manner. When getting dessert there was a happy birthday and candle on it for me which I really appreciated it just goes to show they care and are willing to go the extra mile.

We visited the M&C yesterday evening, the first time we’ve been out since Feb and, it didn’t disappoint!We arrived early and although the bar area has been removed due to COVID, they welcomed us and allowed us to sit at our table almost an hour before our reservation so we could have a drink The smartly dressed chap who greeted us on arrival was friendly, chatty and made us (and everybody who arrived) very welcome and at ease. Social distance and COVID practices were obviously being implemented, with reduced tables, hand sanitizers and SD markings all around, however the staff made an excellent job of making the situation feel normal. As someone who has been shielding for god knows how long, it felt safe 10/10.Chloe G served us and was excellent. She was very friendly, and chatty - nothing was too much trouble. She even cleaned down another table at the end of the night near the front of the restaurant so we could check for our Taxi. Give that girl a pay rise!All in all we had a lovely time, and COVID aside, we’ll definitely be back.

We always choose here for date night or small celebrations as it's local and we both enjoy the food. Steak is always cooked well and we both love the halloumi starter. Staff very friendly and good social distancing between tables at present!

Visited during “eat out to help out” with my husband, son and daughter. Lovely family meal. We all had steak, no surprise there really. My husband and son shared the tomahawk steak which was impressive. Friendly staff and Covid regulations adhered to. I must remember not to have a starter as the portions are large and I couldn’t finish my steak

One of the best steaks I have EVER had, small but OMG fabulous. I ordered the new Fillet Mignon, it's £31.95 but worth every single penny, just superb. The sides it was served with were also excellent and far from the run of the mill tomato and mushrooms. The wedge is excellent and the dressings and side sauces amazing. Our waitress was Maisie, she was lovely, so helpful and gave us some great, honest recommendations, she'll go far, so very pleasant and friendly.

Birthday meal for 4, early evening, great welcome at the entrance by Chris, nice friendly guy, shown to the table promptly, no messing! Quality meals including fillet steaks and chicken. In Although the restaurant was full, the service by “Maisie “, was excellent, lovely table side etiquette, got everything spot on ! Covid secure, sanitiser everywhere, plenty of space between tables, directions plentiful, felt really safe. Well managed Chris, Maisie and all the servers who made us feel so welcome. Utilised the eat out 2 help out and ordered the tomahawk steak. WOW, cooked to perfection and worth every penny. Staff were courteous and professional and when asked to match wine with a steak he nailed it. Couldn’t praise the staff and chef highly enough. Absolute COVID safe, staff seemed well informed and trained to ensure cross contamination is upheld. Yes some one may slip up throughout this period of uncertainty but the staff did well that night. We have been to another miller and carter and couldn’t believe how great it was so called here in March and wasn’t great so thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt and returned.We both had fillet cooked medium well but when came one was medium if that with blood and the other tough and stringy to chew and well done.We had them placed on our table and within 5 seconds got a check back of our waitress telling her we’ve not had chance to try it yet!After this she never returned for us to tell her about our not so great fillet steaks.When I asked for the bill we pointed out our disappointment in on steaks that we had both not really eaten much of .She bought the bill and said sorry about that so I guess that’s that.I won’t be giving them a third chance.

Love Miller & Carter.Booked Sunday for something different instead of a Sunday roast. Service was great and food was amazing! The little mini Yorkshire puddings are to die for.My only thing I would say is the tiny little bit of lettuce leaves on the plate maybe could go a miss.

I expected big things from this place after hearing lots of hype, but left feeling severely underwhelmed. Food was average at best, £30 for a steak and frozen chips feels like daylight robbery. Desert left a lot to be desired, 3 scoops of ice cream and a Maryland cookie cost £6. For a group of 4 it cost £160, we all had main and desert and one drink each. This included a £40 discount from the government eat out scheme. Full price would of been £200 for four of us... extortionate prices for average pub food. The setting also leaves disappoints, dark, depressing, over crowded. One plus was the service, our waiter was fantastic. Overall I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.

So Miller and Carter ...... . Its a little noisy which I did find a bit off putting . The service this was a major plus point the waitresses were on it and our waitress was superb friendly knowledgable and always on hand without being intrusive . So on to the food ...... it was ok nothing special but nice . I was expecting to be blown away by the “steak experience” but the steaks were just good not amazing which for a specialist steak restaurant you would expect better. The plus side was the onion loaf and the beef dripping gravy which was stunning . We had need to complain but I wont dwell on that as the manager was superb in dealing with the issue . To recap staff fantastic place ok food alright . Thank you Lianne R you were great.

After craving a miller and carter steak all through lockdown, we finally managed to get booked in, the 2 guys on reception were helpful ( nice suite sorry didn't get your name)We booked 3 weeks ago and since miller and carter signed up to eat out help out! Result! My food was perfect, my partners steak was a tad too well done for medium, but he ate it as it wasn't worth sending back. The covid procedures were 10/10.Kyle was fab! He explained how it all works all the covid steps we needed to follow. He was knowledgeable helpful and diligent. Credit to miller and carter.Only down side slippy floors! Or was that the 3 glasses of wine I consumed?!Keep up the good work miller and carter Sherwood can't wait to come back

Thoroughly disappointing, after booking a surprise 30th birthday meal for my wife, I can’t emphasise how much of a disappointment it really was, our party was placed near a speaker which continued to blurt out awful music all evening, the Chateau Briard was undercooked and had a vein of gristle running throughout, the birthday cake I’d paid for literally was a simple store bought chocolate cake with one candle in the middle, terrible atmosphere and service, and the general manager was totally unapologetic for the experience, will not be returning anytime soon as could have had a better level of service at a 2 for 1

This is the best steak house we've been to for a long time. Excellent quality food, excellent service in a great environment. Between Harry and the chefs our visit couldn't have been better.

This is a great restaurant it's in nice surroundings and the insides smart and relaxing.We had ribeye steak it was so tender and tasty you hardly had to chew it. The service was quick and polite. Good selection of drinks.

Booked recently for an evening meal (booking system efficient), great welcome from friendly staff, great lounge bar to have pre meal drinks, good selection of beers etc. Shown to our table, 4 guests, introduced to a nice young lady Chloe Green, who looked after us for the evening. Great menu, exceptional service from Chloe, busy restaurant but efficient all night. No complaints, highly delighted, will come again soon, we’ll done!

I was taken here for my Birthday a meal treat. We have been told to try this restaurant since it opened. The service from start to finish was excellent. The food was well prepared and served the meals were hot. The staff were very friendly and professional Especially Chloe who made our visit perfect well done. There was a good menu selection some pricey but some to suit everybody all fully recommended.

Well, why I have not eaten here I will never know. Recommended to us to try. The lunch menu was lovely, the service was superb, the staff are so professional and friendly. AND the price was just great! I have to admit that the main menu is a bit pricy but the lunch one is recommended.

I never been so disappointed and bad experience with this restaurant. I have been here so many times but this time I turn up with my business appointment after work. The staff been so rules and racist and she asked us go outside and make ourselves look smart( we was on casual clothes not dirty) because she see us Asian I bet she can’t ask that to any English people. One thing I need to say my moneys still good same with any body else moneys. I don’t need treats it like that.

We have been to a few miller and carter steak houses and this one didnt let us down.The fillet steak we ordered was cooked to perfection and couldn’t fault anything we went on a Thursday so ordered from the date night menu.Andy from a sister restaurant looked after us and a exceptional job he did as well.We would return for sure

Went to a birthday party organised by a friend. It was a wonderful evening all round. The food was superb, probably the best vegetarian meal I had ever had in a restaurant. My husband had steak and it was also delicious. But it was the staff who made the night for me. They were friendly and helpful.... nothing was too much trouble. Well done !

A retirement celebration for a good friend, there were 19 of us and we'd pre-warned of our numbers. Service was slow, food was excellent (that's the bit that matters) On first glance at the menu, there was a universal gasp at the prices. My 8ox fillet steak was cooked to perfection and the accompaniments were very tasty and well presented. (The plate went back clean). A superb Resturant for that special occasion, not a weekly visit. I will most definitely return
