We had an absolutely lovely evening with our friends at Miller&Carter in Mitcham. Food was amazing, our steak was cooked on point, sides were plenty and the wine was delicious. Can highly recommend this Steakhouse. We'll be coming back...

1year anniversary decided to go here the food/ venue was on point. When arriving the manager told us to wait at the bar as the table wasn’t ready. it was only booked for two people and they had plenty of seats where we could of sat. Other people got seen and made their way to the table. 20mims still waiting to be seated, no one has come over to see us. In the end we left, wouldn’t be going back there in a hurry.

First time visiting miller and carter in Mitcham, had a lovely meal. Great steak as expected and perfectly cooked. Joanna looked after us and was supper attentive, very friendly and absolutely fantastic.

First experience at Miller and Carter. If I'm honest wasn't blown away by the service. Website says dress code smart casual. But someone looked like they had just come from JD sports . Another was wearing a football shirt so pointless having a dress code . Was my mates birthday and even noted this on booking table .They didn't seem to acknowledge it at all .We had the set menu and the food was very nice I did see people coming in after us and getting their food before us . I was very disappointed, it is impossible to enter with a dog for a while. I just wanted to order a drink and go out to the garden, so I was asked to leave. I asked the waiter to come to me and was refused. Sad and humiliating. What was I supposed to do with the dog?? Is it so difficult to send a waiter to take your order? Big disappointment. We visited this restaurant today with our 10 month old baby. The manager, Jamie, told us we had to wait 20 mins because we didn't have a reservation and he was 'trying to wind down the service'. We decided to order at the bar and sit outside so that we could have our baby fed and home in time. We placed our order at 19.48 and 20 mins in, no food had arrived. I went in to check if there was now a table inside as outside was getting cold for my baby. Jamie told us we had another 20 mins to wait, as people had left but he was winding down tables and the restaurant was closing in an hour (although your website says 11pm closure???). 40 mins passed and I had to nudge the staff to at least bring my baby's meal. We were told the kitchen is 'busy' although more than half the restaurant was empty. 50 mins passed, my husband was flippantly informed by Jamie that we've already had the baby meal, that only leaves two items (a vegan burger and a ribeye steak). 1 hour in, I went in to check where we're at and he informs me he hasn't had the chance to check, and his system only shows 24 mins since our order (?). Finally, I had to ask for the food or a refund, and wow... suddenly our food appears. I wish that was a happy ending but no, my vegan burger was barely cooked, there was no avocado smash as per your description, and no hot sauce as per my request. My husband's ribeye was overcooked and unpleasant. My baby was cranky, unsettled and tired. An absolutely terrible experience all thanks to an individual who was too busy trying to shut the restaurant and go home rather than do his job. For this, we have paid £51 of our hard earned money. Would not recommend.

We had the lunchtime menu and were really impressed today. The food was all really nice and hot, freshly cooked and tasty. We were looked after really well by our server Hayley. She was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you!

Good ambiance, perfectly cooked steak , and very good sides. Also the bone marrow was surprisingly good, better than some of the more experience steak restaurants in London. Gold star to Joanna who was a fantastic hostess, and despite being very busy, looked after us really well.

My son has been asking me to take him for a steak for a few days now. Today I decided to spend some quality bonding time with him. Miller and carter was the obvious choice for us as we are big fans of the food and service. The service from Joanne was second to none and the food was lovely. Would highly recommend. 5 star

Tracey was our waitress, she was exceptional and is definitely a credit to your restaurant, she was fantastic with my 5 year old but also all adults and the birthday boy. Listened to our needs regarding food request and made sure everyone was comfortable. The food did take a little time coming out but we were happy to wait.

Went for my sisters 16th Birthday dinner. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. Haley was an amazing server, very attentive and checked in at various point to see how everything was going.

Impromptu dinner on Saturday night: The service didn't start well as we were left waiting at the front, with several members of staff passing and failing to acknowledge us waiting. The member of staff who eventually came, gave no apology and displayed mediocre service. The delay in service continued, and we were again left waiting to be served whilst several members of staff seemed to congregate and chat. Albeit they were expecting a large booking, which was clearly occupying staff, however the booking had yet to arrive, and no apology or explanation was communicated. When eventually served, our main waitress was satisfactory and delived adequate service. The food and cocktails were nice. Delivered in a timely manner, and were pleasant tasting. The highlight for us was Keaton-another member of staff who assisted with our order. He apologised for the delay, attentively checked in on us, and displayed a warm and friendly nature. His personality, charm and genuine effort to welcome us made a barely mediocre experience, extremely pleasant. He went above and beyond to be obliging and friendly and other members of staff would certainly benefit from his professionalism. We are getting married next year; we will be ecstatic if our waiting staff are half as charismatic and obliging as him. Impromptu dinner on Saturday night made more enjoyable by one member of staff.

Had another fantastic time at Miller & Carter Mitcham, Yaneena was fantastic looking after us for the whole time, truly a star! Cannot recommend enough, we got the Buchers block which is always a favourite. The food and the service was stellar!

During my recent visit to Miller & Carter, I was eager to indulge in their acclaimed dining experience. The first impression as I walked in was the inviting atmosphere. Warm lighting and rustic decor set a cozy yet upscale tone that made for an enjoyable evening. Next came the food, which did not disappoint! I ordered their signature steak, cooked to perfection with a beautiful char on the outside and tender juiciness inside. Paired with seasonal vegetables and a creamy peppercorn sauce, every bite was a delight! The dessert menu beckoned me afterward, showcasing decadent options. I opted for the chocolate melting cake—rich, gooey, and utterly satisfying. It was the perfect ending to an exquisite meal. But what truly elevated my experience was the service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, offering great recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty. Overall, my time at Miller & Carter exceeded expectations in every aspect: food, service, and atmosphere combined to create a memorable dining experience.

Pleasant clean stylish environment. Friendly staff. Unfortunately struggled tonight to serve up cooked food within a reasonable time frame. Some food was not in and when offered alternative, it didn't materialise. Some sweets were undercooked. Overall unfortunately an underwhelming dining experience for a large group.

Book a table for 2 people and greeted with a warm welcome from I think the manager, was shown to our table straight away. We then waited nearly 15 mins before we had to ask a waiter if we could order a drink ,when my steak arrived which should have been cooked medium the plate and steak were very bloody so I asked for it to be cooked a bit more thinking that they would give me fresh fries with it , instead of the ones left sitting on our table so when they came back with the steak I had to ask for fresh fries, at no time did anyone ask how my meal was or offer an apology , we eat here regularly and this evening was definitely not up to their usual standard

Food and portion sizes were decent, although prices were a little excessive for what you get. The restaurant is easy to find and has a decent number parking spaces. It was nice to have the option of eating indoors or outside

Keaton was an attentive waiter, with useful suggestions regarding menu choices and drinks. He looked after our table of four very well, regularly checking that we had all we needed.
