The whole experience was fantastic! Our server (Beatrix) was attentive and answered all my questions regarding the food. Service was prompt and the meal itself was so delicious! The baked camembert for starter was definitely a two person portion as advertised, however the show stopper had to be the Angus fillet steak for main with the beef dripping sauce. I have never had a steak here that wasn't cooked exactly as I asked and the sauce is to die for! Topping off the night, our lovely waitress overheard we were celebrating and had the chocolate of our dessert spell congrats! A really lovely touch that just added to a brilliant night 10/10

First time at Miller & Carter, Had a lovely meal celebrating our 11th Wedding Anniversary, made us feel very welcome, our waitress Beatrix was lovely and very friendly.

This is the 2nd M & C we have visited . We were much more impressed with the Poole venue than the Segnsworth one although both restaurants have had broken coffee machines. Our server today was a wonderful chap called Chris, very cheerful and welcoming, great knowledge of the various cuts of steak and the menu in general. We observed he always took his time to explain and help fellow diners. Nothing was too much trouble. He is a true credit to himself and your establishment.

Visited as a family of 6 ( including toddler and baby), very friendly and accommodating especially as the baby made alot of mess on the floor. Great service and good, highly recommend.

Party of 2 Firstly I always judge a place on what you are paying for the meal. So the prices in Miller and Carter are at the higher end and a place you perhaps would go for a special occasion or for a special treat. Firstly the table....wooden no table cloth and although clean, looked dirty. It was also small and felt cluttered Drinks..... we ordered 2 bottles of wine, they weren't opened for us and just dumped on the table, no tasting, just get on with it style. Not a great start. Starters I had the prawn and avocado....presented on a few leaves in a bowl, looked like a child had put it together. The Marie rose sauce was tasteless and seemed watery and I found 4 small pieces of avocado. The lettuce also tasted very bitter. My partner had the Calamari...these were OK, but heavly coated in the batter and served in a tin pot you would expect in a wetherspoon. Main course... I had the fillet mignon, it was cooked well. served with a pot of peppercorn sauce which equated to about a table spoon full and had quite a thick skin on the top. Also had the chunky chips which again were served in a vase type tin with greaseproof paper surrounding them. Some were chunky, some weren't. I had also asked for a side of mushrooms, these unfortunately came out cold. They were reheated when asked. My partner had the salmon, new potatoes and greens. She enjoyed apart from the greens being only Luke warm at best and a little hard and under cooked for green beens. The desert my partner had was the banoffee pie and cocktail. The pie was good however the porn star martini was served with dried raspberries in.. .strange, obviously no passion fruit in the establishment. Over all a very average meal for the price I paid with very average service and surroundings. I have had much better in local pubs at a third of the price. To make this an establishment that people would want to go back to for special occasions they really need to up their game and improve on the presentation of the food and train the servers correctly. Really disappointing again, and not the first time, we were only here as someone brought a voucher for us to use. It's 2 strikes and that's it now for me. I Would not use my hard earned money for such an average experience that costs well well above average and what it's worth.

Booked a table mid-week, whilst on holiday in the area, and found the restaurant to be busy. Chris, our Steak Expert, was very attentive, we didn't want to be rushed and he gave us as much time as we wanted. Food was great and cooked exactly how we had ordered. One of the best experiences we've had at M&C all over the country.

Always a great atmosphere when we come to miller and carter Poole. Our steak expert Ellis was enthusiastic and welcoming. And genuinely a nice guy. The food as always was amazing and the steaks were cooked perfectly. We had the Butchers Block for main to share and it’s a perfect combination of steaks and bone marrow brisket. Very reasonably priced considering the amount of food and the quality of the steaks. No complaints at all. Left very full as we always do.
