Miller & Carter in Poole

Beatrix was very efficient and attentive throughout the evening. Lovely food. Great portion sizes. Busy atmosphere. Little bit on the expensive side, but worth it for a luxurious evening meal for any occasion.

Gentleman serving was lovely, friendly and helpful. We had the Chateaubriand , medium rare . It was disappointing, not as tender as you would hope for that cut of meat. The vegetables ( buttered greens and roasted vegetables ) need to be cooked more . I prefer them with a little bit of bite , but when a knife and fork will not pierce them ....then not good !

We had a meal at Miller & Carter Poole, and overall, the food was very good—cooked well and full of flavor. The service from the two girls who served us was excellent; they were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well looked after. However, the experience was let down by the manager, who was unwelcoming and added nothing to the atmosphere. It’s a shame because the rest of the team did a great job. Would return for the food and service from the waitstaff, but the management needs to step up.

Arriving at the restaurant we were greeted and seated immediately by the assistant manger who advised us who the waitress Beartrix would take our orders and arrange drinks she made us feel most welcome during our visit

First time trying Miller and Carter and what a brilliant experience it was. Food was delicious and the presentation exceptional- cooked by chef Josh, and the service was 10/10. Vicki our server was extremely attentive and helpful, taking her time to guide us through the menu, as it was our first visit. Her attitude was so positive, with a friendly smile and approach, definitely an asset to the Miller and Carter team. Will absolutely be coming back again.

Had a brilliant valentine’s evening with my wife and kids today. Served by Vicki who provided amazing customer service throughout. She was bubbly and interacted with the kids which made their dinning experience extra special. Fraser the grill chef did a brilliant job with our food (steaks). Would definitely recommend!!!

Our waitress, Beatrix, was absolutely fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. She went above and beyond to make our experience feel extra special. A huge thank you to Fraser, the chef, for creating such a delicious and beautifully presented meal. Every dish was cooked to perfection, from the succulent steak to the indulgent dessert. The Valentine’s menu was thoughtfully curated, offering a perfect balance of flavors. Good menu lots to choose. Service bit slow when we visited but it was a Sunday. Hour wait for food. Atmosphere depends on where you are seated, best tables you can chat to your group.

Went on Valentines Day for the steak share plate, our server Julie was fantastic and took all our allergies and questions into account when placing our order and Josh the chef who cooked the steak... what can I say, it was probably the best steak both me and my better half ever had Recommended and then some and will be 100% coming back soon

Lovely pre-valentines dinner! Fillet steak was amazing and I can’t get enough of the onion loaf, so yummy. Very friendly staff, Grace in particular was very attentive. Would definitely recommend the valentines menu

Had a booking today at 18:30 for a birthday, ordered 2 ribeye steaks, one medium and one medium well one of the waitresses got these mixed up and ended up with 2 steaks we didn’t order, after highlighting this with another waitress we got one of the steaks sent back to be rectified as I ordered medium well and it came out medium rare this came back with no change and still very pink, the other steak which was meant to be medium was more well done but we decided not to send this back to not cause the staff more hassle. Not impressed at all especially when you’re paying £33 for a steak you expect it to be cooked to how you order it at the very least. The grill chef was josh as it says on the slip we were given. On the other hand the waitress melissa who we had most of the time was very good and attentive. Will not be returning. Big disappointment.

Vicky was an absolute icon of a server! So so nice, fun, friendly and efficient. Had the best time being served by her. Food was delicious and good value for money. Some loud kids hence not the perfect score but M&C can’t help that!

Zero faults. A 100% 10/10 gold star evening! The meat was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The sides were all on top form, nothing felt second rate. The staff were wonderful and really finished off the evening. Polite, engaging, attentive and welcoming - everything you hope for on a meal out. We cannot wait to come back soon. Vicki was incredible!

Melissa was very accommodating and we would deffo recommend.

My partner and I booked for 12 , but was left waiting outside in the freezing cold. When I managed to get the attention of a member of staff we were told she would speak with the manager. We were eventually let in at 12.05. I had already explained that my partner is very ill and is on oxygen which could clearly be seen, but no apology or sympathy was given. We will never go there again!!…..We didn’t even stay for food as my partner became unwell after standing in the cold, quite disgusting the manager didn’t even show his face having been told that my partner is sick….

We recently dined here. The meal was nothing short of delightful. What truly elevated our experience was our server. She had a warm smile and had genuine enthusiasm. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. Overall the combination of exquisite food and exceptional service made for a memorable dining experience.

Chris was amazing! Very charismatic and attentive! We came to dinner for my girlfriend’s birthday and had such an enjoyable time. I had never been here before and he helped me pick out the perfect meal for me and was spot on! So positive, so joyful. Will definitely be back if Chris is our waiter! Thank you :)
