Miller & Carter in Poole

A group of us went for lunch after going karting just up the road and we all decided that the 16 ounce ribeye was the way forward for us all. Their steaks come accompanied with a number of extras to suit tastes so you won’t be disappointed. Wash it down with a lovely bottle of Château Nerf du Papp and you have a winning combination. Only criticism was that the espresso beans tasted burnt and bitter. But other than that top marks. Will see you again soon !

Amazing food. Amazing service. Beatrix was an excellent waitress. Josh was our grill chef and it was perfect. Atmosphere was only 3 stars due to how hot it was in the upstairs seating area.

Wonderful meal. Had the steak and camembert and now im stuffed. Service was excellent and very friendly with a very cozy setting in thr corner upstairs.

My girlfriend and I came here for our 1 year anniversary. Had the best ribeye steak with beef dripping sauce I’ve ever had! The atmosphere and ambience was fantastic. Our server Beatrix was absolutely brilliant. She was very friendly and kind, helping to pick the right steak for us! Would 10/10 recommend this restaurant and Beatrix as she was amazing.

Food was lovely by grill chef Fraser - we had the camembert, butchers block and the cookie pie for desert. Highly recommend the butchers block as you get to try a bit of everything. We were served by Julie who was very friendly and approachable.

Our waiter Chris was excellent advised us on how our steaks should be cooked as well as an excellent recommendation on which red wine is suitable The wait for food was about right and hot the serving staff was aware if who was eating what at the table My wife Celia is asking can you bring back the Cherry Bakewell Cocktail as an after, great night out

First ever visit and was impressed by the nice atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely food.

We arrived at 5.45 pm to have a Birthday dinner with our then 11 year old daughter. We We were welcomed by staff and looking forward to some good food. My daughter wide and myself. We ordered food for all three of us and made clear my wifes Food allergies and were told her meal would be made without dairy etc. 40+ mins later we're told there has been an error and someone had put butter on the food and the chef threw them all away and started to cook all three meals again!!! They offered us some drinks. No one asked us if that was ok? They didn't ask if my daughter (who was really hungry) wanted hers. I had to ask 2 members of staff twice where our food was. Several customer arrived, ate and left before we had our meals delivered. 40 mins later the food arrived by which point my daughter was is in tears (from being really hungry and that it had spoilt her birthday dinner treat as a family). We ate the food and had had enough. My daughter didn't get to her second course (that was part of the cost). They took off my wife's food and then charged us for the rest - which I felt was pretty crap seeing as we had waited patently for the food...twice...and by the time we got had lost all joy for the food. Following this (our first experience with the chain and Poole) I would not recommend this restaurant. Really did spoil an 11 years birthday dinner and we haven't been able to speak positively to friends and colleagues since who have asked.

M&C Poole never fails to completely amaze us of how brilliant everything always is. The surroundings, cleanliness, food and service are all as polished as the tableware, cutlery, glasses etc. In our opinion , it’s unbeatable we’ll continue to return whenever possible. .

I had booked a table for 13 people in advance, expecting to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday in a pleasant and memorable manner. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had anticipated. Firstly, instead of being seated together, we were given two separate tables (1 table and 1 booth). This made it extremely difficult to communicate with half of our group, ruining the atmosphere and spirit of the occasion. Despite bringing this concern to the attention of the manager, I found the response unhelpful and dismissive. Additionally, we had to wait for an unacceptable 40 minutes before being able to order drinks, which significantly impacted our enjoyment of the evening. The service from the older waitress was overly intrusive and at times, uncomfortable. On the other hand, the younger waitress, who was clearly overworked, did her best to accommodate us and was attentive throughout, which I do appreciate. However, despite these efforts, the overall experience left my daughter extremely upset, as she felt her special day had been ruined. This was deeply disappointing, as we had hoped for a memorable celebration, not one marred by poor service and lack of attention to our needs.

Had an amazing meal and Chris was very fun and made out evening extra special! We will be coming back!
