Can honestly say a wonderful lunch for us both and so friendly service from Jayne, attentive and amiable...Will definately be back...Parking was easy as well

Been many times. Quite understaffed and this seemed to be an issue for other diners, but we were happy to take our time and didn't let this spoil the evening

We had a lovely meal and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Jacobean Barn. It was made more special by our lovely waitress Sue. She was very welcoming and friendly and for whom nothing was too much trouble. She was also great assisting and one of our guests who has a gluten intolerance.

Been going here for at least the last 25 years so I know it use to have a different name and different firm running it but all the years we have been going there we always have enjoyed the food and service, but we went the other night and we really didn't enjoy our selves. We sat down waited longer than usual never had mixer for drink, dishes had shrunk to a size that we had to take photos to show how they had shrunk or they have started using bigger plates any way the surf and turf I ordered the steak was cooked perfect but the lobster tail looked like a king prawn I didnt know you could catch them that size? And finally we were sitting near by the serving counter where the food comes out, not a problem with that but under the counter there was a bin filled with rubbish and over flowing on the floor where the waiters and waitresses were oblivious to what was on the floor didn't look to hygienic or professional. I'm sorry but we were disappointed with the service we also waited 40mins for our drinks even joked about the ice had melted in the glass.(that wasn't funny) So we won't be coming back in a hurry.

Ben was our waiter today, done a phenomenal job made us feel very welcomed and was extremely polite with excellent customer service!

This is a lovely restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Loads of free parking and set on a beautiful park and gardens. We eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. The menus are regularly updated making each trip unique. Our waitress today, Romana, was really lovely and recommended the Pork Tomahawk which was amazing. She was very attentive and pleasant. I'd also like to praise Cherie who booked us in at the door on Valentine's Day. The family in front of us were very late for their booking and were rude and difficult. Cherie was very professional and dealt with the issue calmly. So, visit the 500 year old Hall Place House, walk in the gardens and then drop in for a steak. What could be better!

Lovely hot food. Good portion size. Two of our party had steak,which was exceptional. Relaxed enjoyable atmosphere.

Always a great night out with my bestie, allows us to put the world to rights. Great meal, they pay special attention to those with allergies which I have many, so you do have to jump through a few hoops to ensure they are happy nothing you’re ordering will put you at risk but I keep my order simple to make it easy. Staff are always pleasant & engage in conversation about your plans & say goodbye at the end. Restaurant itself, is a lovely old barn and fairly popular.

The food never disappoints and we have been here many times. Staff are always great especially our wonderful server called Charlee.

Great steaks and fries. Ribeye was tender and juicy. Only disappointment was the red wine was served cold and not room temperature like I would expect from a steak place.

We love M&C for the quality of the food, but the Hall Place branch is great as the staff are so lovely. Jacqui was the most attentive and friendly waitress, she looked after everything we needed and made the evening a real pleasure with her warmth and company.

As a party of 4 we went for lunch today at Miller & Carter, Bexley. We were served by a lovely waitress Sue who attended to all our needs. Unlike some restaurants each course was served and we were left to enjoy the meal. Each course was served promptly, hot and very tasty.

Lovely atmosphere and our waitress, Marta, was extremely warm and welcoming. Food was good as well, steak was well cooked with a good range of included sides. I found the honey-mustard dressing on the Lettuce a little acidic but this didn't really detract from the meal overall.

Catherine, our waitress, was wonderful, super friendly, hard-working, and always whizzing around. The halloumi fries are unbeatable, crispy, spongy, and fast to arrive. The atmosphere is calm, not busy, not blindingly bright, and the music is playing in the background. I couldn't complain at all; just a wonderful restaurant.

What can I say. Nothing short of a disaster. Booked a table of 4 for 5pm and although it took some time to get our drinks order taken we eventually received these drinks 45 minutes later after chasing them twice with a different waitress and also a ‘manager’. I will say our waitress was fantastic but was clearly overloaded with tables. The starters arrived a little over an hour into the service, which all tasted good. Sticky chipotle chicken and burrata was lovely. Between starters and main we only had 1 lettuce wedge arrive, which was swimming in water. Clearly hadn’t been dried after its wash. I showed this to the manager and there was a distinct lack of interest. She also seemed less bothered that we were now 2 hours into our service and still hadn’t received our main meals. We found out a new girl was expediting but didn’t have control of the kitchen hence why food was taking so long to come out. Started discussing walking out but the kind waitress came over and apologised and told us our food was nearly there. After a short while the food arrived. Still no sign of the other lettuce wedge, probably started to wilt. I had the filet steak mignon, one was lovely the other clearly didn’t want to get off the grill. Our chips didn’t arrive so alternative chips were provided for the delay, eventually getting a portion of fries arrive. Being told they were fresh out the fryer…quick guess…they weren’t. Regardless of all that the rest of the food was ok. Spoke to the manager at the end and she was so uninterested I may as well have spoken to the wall. Whereas the waitress (I apologise as I didn’t get her name) was hugely apologetic and wished me, my wife and 2 very tired kids a nice evening. Wasnt what I had in mind when we were celebrating me starting a new job. Our second time here with poor service kind of tells you how this place is being ran. Hugely disappointed.

Out For my boys birthday meal All the stake cold waiting 5 mins for chips to come out half the order didn't turn up one bit of rump blue still walking the only thing that was hot was the peppercorn never coming here again 🤬

Best place to go for steak, always tender and juicy and is always wary and considerate of allergies with every visit. Annabelle was a great waitress and would rate 5 out of 5 for great service and fast delivery with food.would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good steak meal.

Had a catch up meal here tonight with old staff members I used to work with , Charlee was our server , nothing was to much trouble for her , gave us time to sit and talk and didn’t rush us, Food was lovely cooked by Dzhesur ,, and personally thanked him as he passed our table, I would highly recommend,

While usually it is a nice visit. Yesterday the whole experience was unpleasant. Firstly I took almost 45 an hour or more to get the drink orders, serve the drinks and take the food order Secondly. We have booked a table of 8 planning to go with the dinner menu, 2/3 courses. After we had the drinks then we were told that one item from the starters and one of the mains not available, they just ran out. I placed the first order and just as I ordered mine the next person inline was told that I ordered the last chicken from the starter menu and there no more. So now 2 out of four not available. We asked if we can on this occasion choose another starter from the cart menu but the waitress had to check with the manager who said no they can’t do it. We went ahead and ordered from what is left of the starters. But then also when we wanted to order one of the other mains (not the ran out burger) we find out that the fillet is now not available. So half the table had to change order and move to the A La carte as the fillet was only available there. Then 15 minute after the order the waitress comes back to say they ran out of my starter and I need to change it. For which I ended up changing my whole order. It then continues for when the food was served. They got all the steak mixed up and they didn’t know which is which and we had to wait nearly 10 minutes for the discussion between the waitress and the chef to conclude which one is which. All together was bad experience. The food quality was same as always. But the service was very disorgnised, lacking and slow. I spoke to the manager about all the above and expected them to come up with a sort of apologetic gesture. Instead it was a simply sorry about that.

Fries was a little too overdone but it was fine so we didn't complain. The prawns (starter) was also too well done and had a bitter taste (over charred). The food, drinks, and service overall was great especially the service. Highly recommend the cote de boeuf sharing platter. Definitely offers value for money. Would definitely recommend Miller & Carter Bexley to family and friends.

Took our son here for his birthday tonight. Family of 4 at 6:45 pm. Initially all was good as usual. Been to here and princes Road many times. Ordered starters which were usual standard but presentation not as good as previous. Ordered mains and I only ever order one main which is the filet mignon as this is easy to cook through with no pink. Came out and the other 3 meals were all perfect but mine was pink to half way through so sent back. Had the then ask to have my sides returned so they stayed warm. My family were half way through their meals before mine came the 2nd time. Again it was still pink. I sent it back again. The waitress returned and offered me burger or the menu. My family were almost finished by this time and I just wanted what I had ordered. After several minutes of sitting with no food I left the restaurant as felt very self conscious. I returned 5 minutes later to get the car keys and raised my complaint with the front desk. The response I got was what did I expect them to do. I left and I waited in the car. The waitress returned to family and apologised informing them the chef refused to cook my steak any further. The manageress then several minutes later told my family that she had inspected my steak and it was pink. They tried to explain it was indeed pink at the table and I would of eaten it had it not been. She refused to listen and no point apologised. Absolutely waste of money and disgusting treatment

Great steakhouse with good service and a fantastic atmosphere. The staff who served us was friendly and lovely, which made the experience even better. The bone marrow sauce was absolutely delicious, and my steak was cooked perfectly rare, just how I like it. My boyfriend ordered medium-rare, and his was a bit too rare, but overall, the food was tasty, and the pricing felt reasonable.

Had a really nice time visiting for our lunch during the week. We all enjoyed our food. Catherine was our waitress and she was incredibly friendly and helpful!
