Miller & Carter in Cheshire East

we have gone to Miller and carter for many years as we live just five minutes away and always had lovely meals , before the recent refurbishment we went for a family lunch and it was terrible ...the food took forevér to arrive and when it did it was only just warm and two of the orders where wrong which ment some of the family had to wait and then eat when we where finished our meal...very disappointing for al the family .

Dined here for what will sadly probably be the last time as this restaurant is closing soon and reopening as a different restaurant. This was a great meal. Paige was cooking who always maintains a very high standard. Abby our waitress is always lovely. All meals were excellent and I can’t fault anything. The only issue was a couple of ‘men’ sitting in a booth when we arrived on their phones, splayed everywhere, one with their feet on the seat! Certainly not what you would want when trying to enjoy a good meal. Needless to say we didn’t sit where we had originally planned and enjoyed a lovely table in another part of the restaurant 😉

We booked a meal for 5.45pm and arrived early at 5.20pm The restaurant was very empty at the time.They have a large ground floor and a first floor dining area.When I booked the meal I asked for a window seat if possible.On arrival I mentioned it to the only girl that was present behind the bar wether this was ok, no-one else was there.I represented myself at 5.40pm and the manager was very unresponsive and did not seem interested on my request.He didn't even give me eye contact when I spoke to him.He took me to a table for two people which was next to the bar in the passageway.There were a few people in the room adjacent to the table and the rest of the restaurant on the ground floor was empty and there were no reserved markers on the tables.I mentioned to him that we had asked for a window seat but he totally dismissed this and said this is the only seat available.How can this be when the whole of the ground floor was empty.His attitude was dismissive and he just shrugged his shoulders and said that was all he had.He obviously was not interested by his dismissive attitude and I said to him that we would not be dining there at that table next to the bar when there were other tables available. He did not want to know and my wife noted that the other four staff members were highly amused by this situation.The man who we think was the manager who shown us to the table did not have suitable attire for the position he held. We will not be going back there and definitely will not recommend the place to any of our friends. Thanks for a ruined evening! Thank you Mr Ryan

Lovely meal, lovely service. Food was great, we had garlic bread to start with and then a burger / steak as our main. Waitress was polite and friendly, asked to see if our food was ok halfway through which we replied it was lovely. Chef could maybe use a bell. Great to hear the food was ready but did make us jump a little when he shouted through to get the waitresses / waiters attention! Would highly recommend. Some great bars around which is a 5 minute walk to get too.

Found very limited parking even on pay and display next door. Given a table in a very busy part close to bar , waiters station and entry reception area. Asked to move shown to a very sticky table ! Ordered over £100 worth of food . Received starter , waited (and waited ) over 1 hour ! Asked for bill for what we had had (1 starter and 2 rounds of drinks - £30 + left the restaurant very unhappy and disappointed. Pretty poor overall . Will not be visiting again.

We had a lovely 50th celebration here at weekend. The staff were great, went the extra mile to ensure we had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend Rachel and her team were great!

Me and my boyfriend came for his birthday meal, and Cathy was so lovely!! She made his birthday so special. We had another lovely lady serving us to begin with, who's name we didn't catch - she had amazing hair and we told her!! Nothing was ever a bother to either of them, they were both so attentive and smiley. and we got a cute happy birthday plate with ice cream and fruit! Thank You Cathy and the team!✨

Had a Saturday lunch at Miller &Carter, Wilmslow, with family. The atmosphere was friendly, quite a few people having lunch, both families and couples. We opted for the Rare Treat menu, which was 2 courses for £22. This has been extended to February. The food was excellent, and the service was very good and friendly. We also had the small dessert with coffee, not that we had room for it, though!

Fabulous, attentive service from Cathy, we had the two course special. I had the salmon, my friend had the steak, both excellent. Cauliflower wings were fab too, and the sticky toffee pudding to die for!
