From the moment we walked in, our experience was met with conflict. We had a neurodivergent person in our party, and unfortunately, this restaurant was neither accommodating nor understanding of their needs. We arrived before opening to ensure we could secure a suitable table—one that wouldn’t cause distress to our neurodivergent guest. However, we were told the table was already occupied. How is that possible when the restaurant had just opened? It turned out the table was being used by staff, yet despite multiple polite requests, our concerns were ignored, and the staff responded with rudeness and indifference. The environment itself was overwhelming—loud, with bright, flickering lights that made it nearly impossible to focus. When we asked for a quieter area, the staff seemed confused and dismissive, offering no real solutions. Considering how much effort it took for our neurodivergent guest to come out for a meal, being met with this kind of treatment was completely unacceptable. It’s deeply disappointing that businesses still fail to prioritise inclusivity. If you or someone in your group has sensory sensitivities or neurodivergent needs, I would not recommend this restaurant. I truly hope they take steps to improve their awareness and accessibility in the future. Management needs complete re-training

Not great I'm afraid. Staff friendly as always. But my T-Bone was very chewy and my wife's rack of ribs were served stone cold. There was also a group shouting at each other for the entire course of our meal without any censure from the management

I opted for the Power Up Breakfast—Scottish smoked salmon, smashed avocado, poached eggs, baby spinach, and toasted sourdough—and it was divine. But what made it even better was Rokshana’s attentiveness. She checked in just enough to ensure I was happy without ever feeling intrusive, and when I asked about the menu, her knowledge and passion shone through. Great venue you on the entrance with the restaurant having a fancy look to it along with everything being clean & tidy. Seen straight away with our server Eszter helping us with drinks and food. She was extremely helpful throughout answering our questions on the food, delivering the food & drinks in good time as well as bringing a smile to us both. Food was reasonable priced for the quality the burgers were at with the beef dripping sauce a delight! Highly recommend!

Our very professional, friendly waiter Priyan made us feel welcome from the moment we sat. He helped us with our choices and engaged with all members of our party. He noted from the booking, that one of our party was celebrating a birthday and not only wished him a happy birthday, but supplied a complimentary birthday profiterole. The grand building, within the Marriott, made the dining experience feel special. Will definitely visit again and recommend.

Had a wonderful experience at Miller & Carter, the restaurant already felt so nice where it was located on a quieter street, the atmosphere inside was cozy and classy, and the food was brilliant. We had a wonderful server today, Priyan, who was super friendly, quick and attentive, a really lovely person who also made our visit even better by kindly surprising me with a Happy Birthday sweet treat after the meal! Would 100% recommend👍

Outstanding service from Zac!! Genuinely felt looked after but not in a way that made things feel rushed, which was perfect. Our table of 5 was all happy, no complaints at all. For someone who was fairly new he genuinely could not have don’t better!! Always making sure we had everything we needed! Was genuine customer service and I think he’s someone the team should look up to. Thank you so much Zac for taking care of us and making it an amazing experience!!

James, fantastic service on a very busy sunday lunch service

My husband and I shared a 28oz steak with different sides including lobster tails, mac & cheese, vegetables, etc and a bottle of wine. It was delicious and our waiter, Zac, was very helpful with recommendations and extremely pleasant.

Another great visit to Miller & Carter, Zac was very attentive and friendly with a constant smile, lovely food as usual. I would definitely recommend the strawberry fields mocktail🍸

In bristol the restaurant looked great and we were seated within a few minutes. The server was very polite and cheerful and answered our questions knowledgeably. The food came out reasonably quickly and was cooked to perfection.

We came last night for a anniversary dinner and was hugely disappointed from the moment we stood inside. We arrived for 6.30pm so we could have a drink first and there was a queue from your host table back to the bar. We asked the waitress if we had to queue for our booking at 7pm, to be told abruptly that yes we do. What is the point in reserving a table if we then have to queue for 30 minutes stood up for our table. This isn't fine dining, this was no better than service at McDonalds. Once we got to the front of the queue your waiter looked so annoyed by our presence and said follow him, then he stopped and said 'actually I don't even know where to put you! Terrible customer service for a restaurant of such high standing. Once seated the service went downhill fast, the waiter sat down at the table and took our drinks order (rude), the drinks took ages to arrive and then when he took out food order the Chicken & Chorizo dish was out of stock. How is this possible? I had pre chose my option as I dont like Steak and then ended up having a burger. We chose to come to your restaurant for a fine dining experience and to be honest we felt like we were at a local pub. Tables were left dirty and uncleared and we paid over the odds for mediocre food. We wont be returning and if I had my way, I would have complained and refused to pay last night.

Had an impeccable experience, Amber and Ellis made my experience the best i’ve ever had at any restaurant! Had a late valentines celebration with my partner and will be returning! The atmosphere of the restaurant and bar is amazing and despite the business of the restaurant, every request was met at an incredible rate! Definitely recommend!

Ellis and his team are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble and has accommodated for us on many occasions and go above and beyond. The food is outstanding and our all time favourite place to eat. Just had a valentine time meal last night and also spent Christmas Day lunch here too which was just pure joy. Even though it was super busy it I couldn’t fault a thing. Worth every penny for wonderful food and fantastic service. Thank you Ellis x

The staff are rude; they make you feel unwelcome! I don’t know if it’s racism because we wear the hijab, but they treat you like you’re eating at their own expense. I ordered a Tramisu and specifically asked for it without wine, yet they deliberately served it with wine just to disrespect us! Do you call this class? Is this how you win customer satisfaction? Shame on you!

Well. This was our first M&C experience and it didn't disappoint. From the moment that our server Pri sat us down he looked after us from start to finish Food, drinks and cocktails were exceptional and far exceeded our high expectations but to top it all our service by Pri was outstanding. Bart was a phenomenal waiter, very attentive and sociable. The food was great, chips could have done with a bit longer in the fryer to be honest, I had the chunky chips that were still slightly raw in the middle and the beef dripping sauce could have been a bit thicker... other than that, great service and great atmosphere.

My wife and I had a great dinner hear on Saturday 01/02/2025. We didn’t have a booking as it was a last minute decision and they still managed to seat us! Our server Rolla was very accommodating and the food from chef Canton was delicious! Thank you and we will be back soon :)

We dined in this restaurant last evening and Ellis was our server. He was attentive, professional and polite throughout. He even went the extra mile to accommodate our cheeseboard for 3 and had a ❤️ beautifully placed on my espresso martini. It’s hard to get good service these days and it was greatly appreciated. The food was delicious and we would definitely recommend this place.
