We had our wedding anniversary meal there today. Waiter was James who was a credit to the company, very polite and attentive. Food was amazing and loads of it. Well recommended and will definitely come back 10/10 👍

We went to celebrate our anniversary, just like we have done for the last 3 years and it still didn’t disappoint. We had the sharing chateaubriand and were full by the end! Priyan served us and was the perfect host. He looked after us and catered easily for our gluten free requirements, and really helped the evening feel special.

I came here for a birthday meal and it was so nice from the food to the amazing customer service. Our waitress was Georgia and she was lovely! She was very kind and attentive checking that everything was alright, but it did not feel overwhelming like how some waiting staff can be. Definitely will be coming back. 10/10 food and 10/10 customer service!

We recenly had a celebration lunch for our daughters exam success and incuded Grandparents. The menu is varied and suits all tastes (including vegetarian), my favourite is Fish & Chips whilst my wife prefers sirloin steak cooked medium. Our food was very well prepared, cooked and presented (5 steaks cooked to differing tastes and 1 fish & chips) and our waitress Georgia was attentive and provided excellent service. A lovely restaurant in the heart of Bristol for good food and great service.

I recently had the pleasure of being served by Priyan during my visit at the restaurant, and I was truly impressed by the exceptional service. From the moment I sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and always had a warm smile. They anticipated my needs before I even had to ask and made sure every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. What really stood out was Priyan's attention to detail and genuine care for ensuring I had a great time. He was knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent recommendations, and ensured that everything was to my satisfaction throughout the meal. Their professionalism and positive attitude really added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. His excellent service is a true asset to the restaurant, and I look forward to being served by him in the future.

Took my dad here for his birthday and our server Roua was perfect. She gave my dad a little happy birthday dessert and the steak was amazing!! He said he liked steak but never understood the hype around it (he’s only ever had steak in smaller restaurants, never in a professional steak house) but after literally one bite he said “yeah I get the hype now :))” the whole experience really made his day!! We had the blank Angus 10oz fillet (rare) 10/10 🤌🏻✨

Served politely and efficiently by the wonderful Rolla, I treated myself to a 12oz steak with lobster tail and scallops. Tasted amazing, as did the chocolate orange bomb for dessert. Have eaten here many times, but for some reason this was the best meal yet.

This steakhouse is attached to the Marriott hotel. Atmosphere and decor are good and matches the renovated hotel. Location is central and has indoor and outdoor seating. Although fairly spacious, the service is extremely slow. Typically wait staff need to be flagged down or are absent. Food is decently priced, although the quality is standard. For a steakhouse, this was a bit of a letdown. Food taste was also standard for a steakhouse, but not impressive. Overall, if you have to stay at the hotel and don’t want to venture out, it’s a decent option. But, there are also other places around this area to try. Breakfast however has a very decent buffet, and service is very friendly. Especially have to thank Lyn for her great service and attention to detail.

I found out this evening that coeliac approved restaurants exist! This has been a game changer, everything was delicious, the cocktails were amazing and the service was sublime. Thank you Eszter for being so diligent with all my allergens and adding a friendly atmosphere 😊

I recently visited Miller & Carter Bristol City on Thursday, 1st August, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Just a few days prior, I had lunch at Miller & Carter in Manchester, where I thoroughly enjoyed the weekday lunch menu available before 5 pm. The food was exceptional, and the waitress who served us in Manchester provided outstanding service, which encouraged me to visit the Bristol branch to enjoy the same lunch menu. Before making my reservation, I checked the Miller & Carter website to confirm that the lunch menu was still available and, finding it listed, I booked a table for our visit. However, upon arrival at the Bristol City restaurant, we were greeted by a young man who appeared to be the manager. His attitude was incredibly unpleasant and unwelcoming. When I mentioned that we wanted to order from the fixed-price lunch menu of 2 or 3 courses, he abruptly informed us that the menu was not available. I explained that I had seen it advertised on the website, to which he curtly replied that the menu had been changed, and then inconsistently stated that it was available only after 5 pm. Pointing to the sign at the entrance displaying the same menu and conditions I had seen online and in Manchester, he reluctantly agreed to serve us the lunch menu. However, his attitude remained dismissive and discourteous throughout our interaction. Despite eventually getting the lunch menu, the poor service we received overshadowed the entire dining experience, leaving us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. Based on this visit, I am hesitant to return to the Bristol branch, which starkly contrasts with the delightful experience I had at the Manchester location.

Amazing service from eszter she made eating out a complete pleasure and ensured all dishes was brought out in good time between courses.. also threw in a extra treat for my sons birthday thank you and cannot wait to return to try some of the other fantastic dishes that was on the menu

Great room in this Marriott Hotel - not ate in the Steak House, but try to get 2 drinks for 30 £, see picture from dirty table for 30 minutes, But I was patience… and got my good quality Cabernet Savignon and Aperol Spritz, actually bar totally empty - because my service experience also other guests had?

Prefect spot for dinner with staying in the hotel it’s located in. We were served by Lily, she was lovely and very attentive. We had Camembert to share which was delicious, and both had fillet steak which melted in the mouth. We had medium and it was perfect!

The mains were really good but the desserts were a touch too sweet. Our server Rolla was very warm, pleasant and accommodating. Very happy with her service!

We checked in to the Marriott Hotel and I saw the very nice looking steak house. However when we arrived to ask for a table the manager told us that he was no longer taking walk in customers (it was 9pm and they say the kitchen closes at 10) however half the tables where empty. He said if we wanted we could order as room service up to 11pm. So I was like "So you kitchen is open I can eat a steak at the bottom of my bed but we can't sit at any of those empty tables and eat. "Apparently not. We then walked out the rain to find some food outside the hotel, when we arrived back at the hotel at 10:30 there was people still in the restaurant drinking. I asked the hotel what that was about and they said it was a separate restaurant and not them. Utterly baffled why we where turned away. The kitchen still open and the staff still working and many of the tables free? My daughter was super disappointed and I couldn't explain why.

Our server was such a lovely person (Rolla) and she even got us a one year little dessert plate which was unexpected but so nice and we would definitely come by again and the food was brilliant :)

The resurant at the Bristlol Marriott on Colege Green is a Miller and Carter. Nice resurant with good service BUT the quality of the 50 day hung sirloin I had was very poor.

We really enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant, right from the beautifully decorated restaurant and the friendly staff, we opted for the fixed price lunch menu, had chicken starters and a rump steak to follow all washed down with a cold beer. Great food good service and will return for sure.

I was a little disappointed. Turned up in the afternoon. They didn’t give me the lunch menus. As I have been to another Miller & Carter the day before and so I was aware of the lunch offer. It just made wonder if they don’t like to promote it as they want you to spend more money on the main menu? Just felt that wasn’t in the spirit of things. I had to go and ask to be given the lunchtime fixed price menu. The waitress didn’t explain that Diet Coke was bottled and she didn’t correct me when I asked for a large Diet Coke. So when 2 small diet cokes turned up and a large Pepsi max. I wish I had known as I would have opted for the larger Pepsi max as well. The bill also go messed up as no idea for the waitress was trying to do with my voucher, but I had to ask her to straighten it out. The food was lovely. Just overshadowed by the service a bit. We had, calamari, halloumi fries and chipotle chicken bites as starters. 2 of us had rump steak and one had a burger. No complaints with the food at all. It’s just I went to 2 miller and Carter restaurants 2 days on the trot at different locations, and Bristol was sadly lacking on the service front.

### Review for Miller & Carter Steakhouse I recently dined at Miller & Carter Steakhouse and had a delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. Our waiter, James, was truly exceptional. From the moment we were seated, he made us feel welcome and attended to our needs with genuine warmth and professionalism. His recommendations were spot-on, and his knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was impressive. The steaks were cooked to perfection, succulent and full of flavor, just as you would expect from a top-tier steakhouse. The sides and desserts were equally satisfying, complementing the main course beautifully. Overall, the combination of fantastic food and James' outstanding service made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Miller & Carter and will definitely be returning soon.

Had heard great things about Miller & Carter, but was disappointed by our visit. I ordered the sea bass which I found over cooked and dry, we needed to remind staff we had not received my husband's fries and they had possibly been sitting on pass as they were not hot. Then were had to wait for our plates to cleared. We were not offered dessert and had to request the bill.

Highly recommend for the best steaks in Bristol. James was on point with recommendations for how they should be cooked and also which wines paired perfectly with the steaks!

Was recommended by James to try the butchers block (steaks as recommended) with a few additional sides and some wine and the food was absolutely sublime! Not to mention the best banoffee pie i’ve ever had!

Made the most of the dates and steaks menu exclusively for Thursdays. James recommended the bests steaks on this menu alongside a perfect bottle of wine to pair with them. Amazing evening will be back on a Thursday again very soon.

Had a lovely evening with my girlfriend last night, we both had fillet steaks that were cooked beautifully. Our server Honor did a great job at explaining how the menu worked and was very attentive towards us depite the busy night.

I've been here a couple times before, this time I came here as a treat for my birthday and went for there weekday special of steak and cocktail for £20. I upgraded to the rib eye for a supplement of £7. Service and atmosphere was good, a lot of solo diners (most likely on a business trip as it's part of the Marriott hotel) as well so didn't feel awkward at all. It was a fairly warm day and with not much ventilation or air conditioning available, it wasn't the most pleasant temperature to dine in. I actually felt sorry for the staff that had to wear long sleeved black shirts as their uniform even in hot weathers. The steak was cooked well as a medium steak and at the end they brought out a plate which they had already prepared with a birthday message with a couple of profiteroles on a plate, a nice touch to end the evening.

Service was excellent! The food was lovely and staff were brilliant. Very attentive and friendly! Our waitress Tanvi was excellent and even brought out a surprise birthday dessert which was a lovely end to the birthday. We’ll definitely be back!

Arrived for nephews 18th birthday. From the minute we walked in Olivia our waitress was amazing . 8 of us ate, and all the food was top notch and served with excellent presentation. They even did an 18th birthday dessert for Fin . Nothing was too much trouble highly recommended. Well done to Oliva and team top service and food

Overall a fantastic experience. Beautifully decorated restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Fine dining experience. The waitress Eszter looked after us extremely well and made the experience really enjoyable. The food was amazing quality and tasted incredible. Genuinely a 10/10 experience. Only downside was the chunky chips were not that enjoyable, soft on outside and stodgy on inside. Other than that amazing!

Went for my first ever time today. Myself and partner arrived 10 minutes early and was told by member of Staff to go and get a drink and wait in the seating area and a member of staff would be over to take us to our table at the time our table was booked for. We got our drinks and the booked time came and went so after 10 minutes we went back to the desk to ask to be seated. We had already looked at the menu whilst waiting to be seated so ordered our food pretty much straight away. Both myself and my partner asked for our steak to be medium to well done, when the steak arrived my plate was swarming in blood. As I cut into it the steak I would say it was cooked to a more rare/medium. This instantly put me off. My partners steak was also cooked the same even though he wanted it medium to well done. Half of his steak was fat which he didn't eat and we also found the steak itself to be very tasteless. Thank Godness for the peppercorn sauce to add flavour to my chips and the dew mouthfuls of steak I ate. For a first experience, I can now confirm this will be my only experience of eating at this restaurant.

Breakfast at this steakhouse is awesome, and Thomas and Nawa make amazing omelettes.

Way better than the one in Cribbs in terms of ambience and service (although service could have been better)... We waited to be seated for well over 5 minutes even though we had reservations and the place was empty🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏿‍♀️then I had to track someone down. Food was ok..not worth the price.... Tempted to say glorified pub grub...nothing spectacular but that may be because I didn't get the steak and that's their speciality... (Although I've had it before and thought the same, it's no Pasture) Ribs were ok-no different than TGIs to be completely honest, mushroom n camembert- alright, scallops mediocre... My friend had the lamb rump,which I've had before and it was and looked nice .. Took ages for us to get our bill,took ages for us to pay it.... I literally had to sprint out of there for an appointment... I give it a 4/10

The service was excellent and every food are fresh.

I can’t say how impressed I was by Chef Nawaz’s omelette, the way he prepared and garnished the plate was elegant; and it was absolutely delicious. I asked for egg whites only- plain, which is traditionally a very boring way to eat your eggs. Masterfully he delivered the best omelette period I have ever had. His secret I do not know, but to the eyes, to the tastebuds and everything in between, Nawaz has a special talent that is deserving of recognition. Then he personally visited my table to see if I had any feedback, well Thank you Nawaz, I wish you the best. You are a true gentleman and you made my day.

Very poor service. Waited 10 minutes alone at the desk whilst we were not even acknowledged by multiple waiters and waitresses. And once sat we waited half hour for our food orders to be taken. We decided to pay for the drinks and left. All the staff seemed really stressed and looked like they hated working there.

Around 30 of us from the University went to the Marriott Royal Bristol today and had breakfast at Miller and Carter inside the hotel. The food was amazingly fresh. The service was excellent; all the waiters and waitresses frequently asked if we needed anything. Specifically, I want to commend Rokshana, the waitress, who is a lovely person. She was always smiling and talking to me and my colleagues and looked after us very well. We were very happy with the service and will definitely visit again. Thanks, Rokshana, and of course, Miller and Carter.

Great food as always, the staff are so knowledgeable about the cuts and how to cook them. Our server was Liv, she was brilliant, so friendly but not over the top she really put the cherry on top
