Its an Excellent restaurant in Bristol city . Yesterday I had a breakfast there with my friend's. We are really delighted for delicious food and quality service. I’d avoid this miller and carter. This one is not very good at all. Sat down on a tiny table, that cannot stay upright. We politely asked if we could take one of the many table of fours around us. He said no I can fix this table. He couldn’t fix it so moved us to another table of 2 behind us. It’s okay. Wait 1 hour for the food to come out. Ordered the butchers block, Fries cold and old. Steaks well done despite being ordered medium. They replaced the steak but didn’t give us the sides back that were in the board ?? We waited a further 25 mins for this. Going back to the table - there was actually nowhere to have our hands / arms as so crowded - we actually dropped a sauce off the edge. Just to summarise , not an ideal place , less than average food. Choose another miller and carter .

Octavian was our server and was brilliant throughout our whole meal. The starters were perfect aswell. Only issue was the steak had lost some temperature from sitting on the pass for a while.

Three of us had a lovely lunch at Miller & Carter a few days ago. The three different main courses were all excellent as were the other accompanying course. All served by our super waiter, Bart. It was my first visit to the restaurant in the Marriot, it was very pleasant. I’ll certainly be visiting again.

Eat at this restaurant at least once or twice a week and it is usually fantastic but for some reason today it was different we walked in and was seen by a waiter walking in only to then stand there for 5 minutes before the same waiter then came over we asked for a table by the window as this is where we usually like to sit and is never a problem but after we asked OCtavian the waiter mumbled under his breath something looked really grumpy and then showed us to a table for two not by the window now surely this is basic hospitality.It was even more annoying for the fact that everyone else before us was offered a table by the window there were 3 empty ones available?.we sat there had a 2 course lunch paid and left and funny enough the 3 tables we could sat on were still empty.I have to say all the other waiters/waitresses and management are great so just goes to show it can take only one to leave a bad impression so well done Otavion as I feel after your grumpy service and hospitality I will probably be leaving it awhile before I return to a restaurant I really enjoy .

We had a fantastic dinner last night, and the steak was some of the best we’ve ever had! The atmosphere was relaxed and elegant, which made the whole experience even better. **Miller & Carter – A Steak Experience to Remember** We visited Miller & Carter today as a family of nine, including our three granddaughters, and it was hands-down the best steak meal we’ve ever had. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection—my medium-rare was sublime, melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Every cut was spot-on, and the quality was exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with gentle background music creating a relaxed vibe. We never felt rushed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A huge shout-out to our waitress, Rolla, whose genuine smile and attentiveness from start to finish made us feel so welcome. Portions were generous for both adults and kids—the children’s meals were just as hearty as ours, and we all left fully satisfied and happily full. The average cost was around £40 per person for meals and drinks, which felt like great value for such an outstanding experience. I’m not easily impressed, but Miller & Carter exceeded every expectation. We’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!

My experience at Miller and Carter in Bristol on April 1st was incredibly brilliant. The service from Ila was absolutely amazing, she was very helpful and friendly with me. Bart - our server - was exceptional. Helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was outstanding. Filet steak (medium), Stilton and white port sauce, wedge with garlic mayonnaise and Camembert mash. All washed down with an Argentinian Malbec. Would recommend you give this M&C a visit.

1st time in this Miller & Carter and would definately go again. Food, service and atmosphere was great. Special mention to Bart who served us very well today. Such a friendly man who made sure my Birthday had a surprise when it came do my dessert. Many thanks to Bart.

Me and my partner came to Miller and Carter for a Sunday lunch and we weren’t disappointed. We were served by James who was super knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some fab recommendations on red wine choices too. Highly recommend their Sunday lunch sharing platter, the amount of food you get for the price is great.

Unfortunately our experienced was ruined due to a frustrated waiter after I tried to get his attention so he could give us the desert menu after our plates were left empty on the table for 45 minutes, the waiter told me not to signal him like that and basically gave me a lecture.. the other waiter luckily saved the situation and gave us free deserts and I gave the longer haired kind waiter a tip.. I hope management see this review and will take note that clearly more staff are required, and secondly to reevaluate how the staff talk to customers, especially when a young child is on the table who is also getting frustrated being almost 9:30pm due to slow service .. I will not be visiting again for obvious reasons.

Non-existent service despite 20 staff walking by you. Much better option down the road. Addition: the pretty petite blonde waitress was very sweet even though she didn't serve us. She exhibited basic hospitality common sense as she walked by and should be promoted to host/manager!

Rolla and chef Carlton were lovely !

From the moment we walked in, our experience was met with conflict. We had a neurodivergent person in our party, and unfortunately, this restaurant was neither accommodating nor understanding of their needs. We arrived before opening to ensure we could secure a suitable table—one that wouldn’t cause distress to our neurodivergent guest. However, we were told the table was already occupied. How is that possible when the restaurant had just opened? It turned out the table was being used by staff, yet despite multiple polite requests, our concerns were ignored, and the staff responded with rudeness and indifference. The environment itself was overwhelming—loud, with bright, flickering lights that made it nearly impossible to focus. When we asked for a quieter area, the staff seemed confused and dismissive, offering no real solutions. Considering how much effort it took for our neurodivergent guest to come out for a meal, being met with this kind of treatment was completely unacceptable. It’s deeply disappointing that businesses still fail to prioritise inclusivity. If you or someone in your group has sensory sensitivities or neurodivergent needs, I would not recommend this restaurant. I truly hope they take steps to improve their awareness and accessibility in the future. Management needs complete re-training

Not great I'm afraid. Staff friendly as always. But my T-Bone was very chewy and my wife's rack of ribs were served stone cold. There was also a group shouting at each other for the entire course of our meal without any censure from the management

Our very professional, friendly waiter Priyan made us feel welcome from the moment we sat. He helped us with our choices and engaged with all members of our party. He noted from the booking, that one of our party was celebrating a birthday and not only wished him a happy birthday, but supplied a complimentary birthday profiterole. The grand building, within the Marriott, made the dining experience feel special. Will definitely visit again and recommend.

Great venue you on the entrance with the restaurant having a fancy look to it along with everything being clean & tidy. Seen straight away with our server Eszter helping us with drinks and food. She was extremely helpful throughout answering our questions on the food, delivering the food & drinks in good time as well as bringing a smile to us both. Food was reasonable priced for the quality the burgers were at with the beef dripping sauce a delight! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful server today, Priyan, who was super friendly, quick and attentive, a really lovely person who also made our visit even better by kindly surprising me with a Happy Birthday sweet treat after the meal! Outstanding service from Zac!! Genuinely felt looked after but not in a way that made things feel rushed, which was perfect. Our table of 5 was all happy, no complaints at all. For someone who was fairly new he genuinely could not have don’t better!! Always making sure we had everything we needed! Great location and outstanding steaks!

My husband and I shared a 28oz steak with different sides including lobster tails, mac & cheese, vegetables, etc and a bottle of wine. It was delicious and our waiter, Zac, was very helpful with recommendations and extremely pleasant.
