Great food and fantastic friendly service from Nis!

It was my Birthday and I decided to treat myself to a steak dinner at miller’s. Nis attended to me she was lovely She explained how to order and recommend a very delicious drink…… Eleaf Passion fruit Martini 😊😋

First class food steaks cooked to perfection our server was very helpful and friendly the ambience of the place is really good but the prices are a little bit more than the normal pub with food but worth a try

I have dined at Miller & Carter, Exeter quite a few times during the last couple of months and have only been disappointed with the service and food (it was lamb) once on a very busy night when I had to wait 48 minites for food to be served. The seabass and steak are always cooked to perfection and the Creme Brulee is second to none. Tonight, I had a good meal and served by Ivo who was an absolute delight. Very attentive and respectful. Top marks to him. Thank you.

A lovely restaurant with great food. Jen, our server, was superb. Very attentive (but not too much!) and lovely to have a Northerner serve me - another Northerner!

We started our evening sitting in the bar for a couple drinks, while we were sat there there was a lady rushing around shouting a lot going from behind the bar running into the restaurant and being incredibly loud, it made us feel somewhat uncomfortable sitting there, when we were taken to our table we were informed there was a 40 minuite wait for food, the waitress came over quickly and Introduced herself nicely, we ordered food and drinks dri ks came out quickly and the mock tails were a delight. Starters followed within 10 minutes. 90 minutes after our starters were cleared the mains arivved, we were shocked at the time our mains took... The mac and cheese was cold along with my mediocre steak at best. I ordered a 16 0z ribeye medium, the steak was medium rare and dry, even the pepper corn sauce didn't stop the ribeye sicking the moisture out of my mouth. When brought up to the manager we were given a small discount.. Overall would not recommend the Exeter M&C to anyone

Exeter miller's and carter's great menus great food service great deals my server nis is always very helpful and very considerate with the customers which gets the 5 stars Travelling up from torbay regularly it's always a joy to eat here nothing is to much from the staff and great value The food is scrumptious and beautifully served and makes u coming back for more come if ur single or with a partner or with family if u haven't been make a date u won't regret it

The food was excellent. We had steaks. James, the manager, was very welcoming and went out of his way to make us feel at home, as it was a birthday meal for two. Frankie, our waiter, was an absolute star. He guided us through the meal so that it became an experience, rather than just food, and this ensured that we both enjoyed ourselves to the full. It is wonderful to find someone who shows such genuine and warm care and attention. You should treasure him.

Food was good with a range of gluten free options. Nis has served us before and did again today and was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed.

Love miller & carter ☺️ This visit my three adult children took me out for a birthday 🎂 meal. On arrival if using the car park you need to enter your number plate details in at reception. We were then shown to our table where our orders were taken, we didn't have to wait long for our food which was great 😃 The lady who served us throughout the evening was a lovely smiley friendly person " she even had Happy birthday put on my dish when my pudding was served ❤️which was a lovely touch but sadly forgot her name. Before leaving we gave her a tip which was well deserved 😃 Thank you x

Where do I even start, from the moment I stepped in the door the hospitality towards me was great, was sat straight away, left perfect time for me to decide on my choices, yet didn't feel like I wasn’t cared for which was brilliant. To improve my experience even more, our waitress Nis was absolutely spectacular, can not wait to return again.

Our waitress, Nis, was lovely. Very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. We had been looking forward to this lunch as we'd been the previous January and had a great meal. We visted with two friends to celebrate a 70th birthday. The starters and pudding were excellent but the steaks were such a disappointment. I had ordered the 8oz Irish fillet (and paid a surcharge of £12) and chose medium rare. However, the steak that arrived was more medium than medium rare and tough for a fillet. My husband ordered the 8oz sirloin (surcharge £5), medium rare and he said his was medium throughout and also tough. We didn't make a fuss at the time (and Nis did check that we were happy) as it was awkward. Did we send the steaks back and ask for replacements or did we just 'grin and bear' it as we were with friends? In the end we just made the best of it but it was an expensive decision and in retrospect we should have just been honest. However, I now hesitate to recommend you to friends and unfortunately we won't be back.

Nis our waitress was fantastic, she was very welcoming and kept us updated throughout our visit. Unfortunately the food service was extremely slow (over an hour wait between starters and mains). The staff were apologetic and handled it well. The rump and lobster tail was delicious!

We had an unexpected evening without the children so decided to come to Miller and Carter. We chose dishes from the January set menu and the food was all served hot, fresh and delicious. Our server Nis was attentive and charming and was great at suggesting dessert options to go with our coffees. There was a nice vibrant but private atmosphere, which is just what we wanted.

We have visited Miller and Carter, Exeter a few times now and we are never disappointed, food always first class and the service is second to non, our server last night Hayley was probably the best we have had since we've been going there. Will definitely be going back.

Went out for Sunday lunch thought we'd try the Sunday Sharing Platter what a good choice ... It was fantastic.. the whole platter was cooked perfectly, knife just fell through the ribeye and lamb rump the chicken was tender and juicy ... The whole thing was just delicious... Our server Franky was spot on ... A lovely relaxed lunch ...one that we will definitely be repeating ..5 stars is no where near enough 🙏👏👏
