We went here to celebrate a 70th birthday today. Nis was amazing as always, super friendly, they wished my mother in law happy birthday and gave her a free dessert, which she was delighted with. The food was amazing as always, it was a birthday treat that went down very well and it was sweet of them to make a fuss to help celebrate a birthday. We love doing special birthdays/occasions here as it’s always a treat. Thank you Nis, hope you are enjoying your coffee while you read this. The Gillanders 😊

Amazing food and service. We visited on Sunday afternoon on the 1st June 2025 Our party of 4 were looked after by Jenny, she was absolutely outstanding and made an already very good meal into a very special birthday afternoon meal. Management, please make sure Jenny gets the recognition she deserves for being such a good and friendly waitress. She was fun and friendly with a fabulous personality. Jenny's trainee, Frankie was also very good, however he has much to learn from Jenny, I'm sure he will come out of his shell with age. Management, please make sure that Frankie also gets a pat on the back too. Our local Miller & Carter is the Taunton branch which is ok but after how well we were looked after by Jenny and Frankie, we will be coming to the Exeter branch from now on. Well done everyone involved. My compliments to the chefs too, outstanding food to go along with the outstanding service. Highly recommended. 5 stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Very warm welcome, staff were friendly and very helpful and the food was amazing

The food was wonderful, super flavourful but balanced. The steak was cooked to perfection, just as I expected it to be. Marco was our waiter and looked after us very well. He was very attentive and ensured we were comfortable and happy with our experience.

Food was brilliant as usual, new additions to the menu are great. Marco, our server was attentive and went out of his way to help us with everything.

Great food and ambience and the waitress was great. The only problem we had was that the ingredients on the menu and the allergy pad menus didn’t tie up. For example the gluten free menu said that you couldn’t have sorbet but the dessert menu said you could - so 1 of our party was a bit confused. Other than that it was a good experience

The food is absolutely amazing. Genuinely brilliant steak, prepared to perfection. Service is excellent. Did not need for anything. Marco was brilliant, quick with service and checking in and no issues with our orders. Would definitely come again!

Food was good and service was excellent, friendly and prompt. Our waitress was excellent I think her tag was NISS and she should be commended for representing Miller's in such a helpful, positive and cheerful manner. Hang on to this lady - she's a gem.

Had to wait for a table despite booking, however all the staff were very apologetic and accommodating. The food was excellent, would highly recommend! Our server Nis was brilliant.

Nis was our server and was fantastic. Service and the steaks were brilliant! A very good place for quality without being ridiculously expensive.

Mostly excellent, just felt the steak was a little dry. Can be expected of a well done rump (although my husband cooks it beautifully) but Husband and Son shared a Cote de Boef and said the same.

Mario was great, paid really good attention to our table and was incredibly polite. The food was also amazing!

Marco who looked after us ! What an absolute legend in his game. Extremely tentative and caring. Nothing is a problem. The food honestly is out of this world. Miller and Carter…with people like Marco, never seem to fail on delivering the ultimate dining experience. Absolutely hats off to creating something very very special. Thank you and we cannot wait until we return.

Marco was our waiter for the night, he was rude and not helpful took our drinks order and then left when we said we was ready to order food Drinks never came to table and Marco was more intrested in other tables so we left. Shocking service to a regular customer that will not be coming back

Went in for first time today. And didn't enjoy our experience we got given a table and was waiting for a while for a high chair to be told they forgot and then they forgot to give drinks! Spent £90 and it was not good.

Franky was very attentive and helpful despite being very busy. He apologised for the wait and was very progressional

Amazing time at Miller & Carter Exeter as usual. Our server Marco was brilliant and provided impeccable service throughout the evening. We told him it was 6 weeks to our wedding and brought out a congratulatory pudding for myself and partner. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Chipotle chicken bites - Tasty and tender - Hot Honey Chicken Wings .- Dreadful, no spice or taste of honey, just looked salted - Full rack of BBQ ribs - Tender and juicy, fries were nice too. Friendly and fast service from all involved, including Hayley. Not bad overall, just would enjoy some slightly bigger portions for the price.
