Don't do all you can eat wings when the kitchen obviously isn't prepared, the wait time is minimum of 50 minutes for each serving and you need to get food on the way home due to lack of wings.

£15 for a burger and then you have to pay more than £3 for a handful of fries!! The burger wasn't very filling but it was a tasty burger. Beer is expensive. The same beer in Wetherspoons is more than £2 cheaper. Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else.

Amazingly looking food gone wrong. Such a disappointment and honestly shame. We discussed the matter of tirelike dry chicken with the management to learn the way they prepare it. It makes sense why it was not edible for my group.

We have had this delivered a few times but have now spent an evening dining in at BrewDogs restaurant in Exeter. Board games and amazing food at a good price - what's not to like! Our family of four called in for food on an early Saturday evening. You know the score with BrewDog, I think it is pricey for what it is but it’s reliable and good quality. The ‘kids eat free’ offer is nice, but very limited and nothing that appealed to our kids, so we went for a kids hoppy meal which is excellent value and probably the best of our meals. My son had wings and loved them. We had some Tesco clubcard vouchers to use, so we came away happy and had a good time.

Got a delivery from BrewDog as a payday treat. I've never seen or smelt a more disgusting chicken burger in my life. Honestly it smelt so bad, like off chicken, meat in it was close to black. Looked like the remains from the chicken carcass flattened down and thrown in some corn flakes. Tried the battery no taste. Lettuce clearly was past it last remotely close to consumable date. Also had a double beef patty burger with cheese and bacon. It tasted like an awful bad kebab. So disappointed ☹️ will raise this with them in a bid to salvage. Chips taste good thankfully and delivery was fast.

I tried to book a table for 12 for the England game but they were full. However, the night before I had email confirmation of my table! Luckily I saw this or as a no show I would have been charged £10 per head, not a great system but we were in. They ask you to arrive by 6pm so a long haul 2 hours before the match, guess they want you to buy food & beer. Tried to order on the app but not all drinks available so needed the server anyway. Tip - update your app. We ordered food, it came up cold so we returned it, replaced about 3/4 hour later. Order chips then had to chase half hour later, ordered a desert that took an hour to arrive. It wasn’t even that busy. The tv had no sound until 15 mins before the match so stuck with subtitles, not great. All in all the service was bad, the atmosphere zero and the food disappointing. Outcome, our experience was not great we will therefore not return for any other match. We will find a place with atmosphere for the game.

Sorry to the people who work here, but food just wasn’t up to scratch. Chicken was so dry, and therefore couldn’t have been fresh. There was a smallest scraping of avocado in the bun, hardly worth advertising it on the menu. Chips were warm not hot and fresh out the fryer. Staff seemed to be doing their best, but new staff needed more training before putting them on the till and taking orders. For the money, it just wasn’t worth it. If the kitchen can improve the quality of the dishes they are sending out and not just plonk the burger together to make it look good, that would be a good start. Quality over quantity. The other thing to add was that it wasn’t busy, so no real excuse for poor quality food.

Few restaurants seem to price the food correctly in Exeter, premium prices are charged for food that is not that expensive to purchase. Over £6 per pint for beer is ridiculous, burgers costing £10-£20 with no fries, ridiculous! Fries cost around £5 extra minimum. Having myself worked in 4 and 5 star hotels when younger, I find the attitude of most the staff at Brewdog to be very poor at customer service, unwelcoming and looked stressed. The waitress/desk host who was manning the front door of a 75% full restaurant, looked at me as if I'm stupid for politely asking "I was just passing by and wandered If she has a table for 5?", her reply was "Have you booked a table?", to which I said no and just assumed she's not listening, I'm hardly going to be passing by if I've directly booked a table lol. It was around 1715, as the hostess started looking for a table for us with a clear attitude that we are inconveniencing her, I spotted a bench table empty with a 1900 reserved slot on it, as she returned to me still looking reluctant to help, I said what about this table over here, I'd guess we'd be finished by 1900, as it's only 1715 etc? Alas we were told we can't sit at that table as it's reserved for 1900, again I'm already aware of the time lol. So she then looked like she'd solved the problem and hurriedly lead us to a bar stool table, told us to sit there and she turned to run off, alas not being shy having instantly noticed that there was only space for 4 chairs, I paused her retreat verbally by saying we are 5, this has 4 seats, amazingly she could do the maths required now and looked around the restaurant looking confused and annoyed lol. I then said, "Look if you've got no tables we can go, I'm not bothered." To which I then got lead to the table I'd mentioned earlier that was reserved at 1900. Having never been to Brewdog, I asked how we order, got told to order on the app and if we were not finished by 1900, we'd have to get off the table, lovely customer service lol. Anyway, ordered the painfully expensive food and drink for 5 people, £6.20 (minimum) for a pint of beer is ridiculous, the burgers were nice but overpriced and the food was as good as slung on the table by this dizzy and rude hostess, thankfully I didn't have to deal with her again, she'd gone to be equally rude to other customers. Any way, I don't usually leave bad reviews for restaurants, as I know hospitality work is hard, but Brewdog's only plus was the food. As for everything else, poorly run, bad customer service and overpriced. The fact that Brewdog makes its own beers, would make you think that the beer would be reasonably priced, but alas no. Rest assured Brewdog I'll not be back and no need to reply below, I'm not interested in the generic replies your PR teams put on the reviews online, it means nothing. Train your staff properly and stop taking the piss with your prices.

We were visiting exeter and found it difficult to pick a place to eat (planned ahead) went onto tesco clubcard vouchers and top of the lost was brewdog. Exchanged vouchers for £68 in value. Booked table online and vouchers arrived instant by email. We arrived an hour early but was seated at our table. Told the staff we had tesco vouchers and they advised us to order at the bar. We selected our drinks black heart & prickly pear. Ordered our food and was very quickly brought out to us. My husband & I both had the Jackpot burger with upgraded dragon fries & chipotle coleslaw. My daughter had nuggets & fries in a hoppy meal box. Wasnt sure what size to expect for an 11 year old but with a side of onion rings she struggled to eat it all. My daughter won her game of rock paper scissors and had a biscoff cheesecake. She was over the moon. Staff were amazing. So helpful in trying different drinks before choosing and overall very welcoming and helpful. Very easy to pay using tesco vouchers. Albeit tesco issued ours as 6 codes to scan which was time consuming for the staff. But not an issue for us. Only complaint is we live 2 hours away from the nearest brewdog so will have to wait before a return visit. Shame as we loved it!

Arrived at about 8pm and told to sit anywhere and order via the app at the table. Had two children with us and chose this venue because we all fancied burgers. Tried ordering the food but the app told us there weren’t any burgers left. Husband asked the rather uninterested ‘server’ who said ‘there’s a sign on the door’ that was all he bothered to say!! After waiting nearly 40 mins the food arrived…it was just plonked on the table and I had to ask where the kids drinks were… The food was terrible! Salad that we ordered was brown lettuce with a meagre offering of bacon and sauce, the £9.50 chips were soggy and cold. The wing meat was dry but they were swimming in sauce. And the kids chicken was overcooked in fryer oil that clearly needs to be changed. No-one came over to do a table check, if we could’ve found someone to talk to we would have. The only reason any of the food got eaten was because the kids were hungry and tired after having a busy day. Not worth the £60 we had paid. We will never return and will ensure that others know how bad our experience was so that they don’t have to waste their money too!

I try and write negative reviews in as much of a positive way as possible. Some may call it a s**t sandwich type feedback. However there is nothing holding the s**t together. Arriving at the restaurant and walking through the door should’ve been the first red flag to tell to turn around and head elsewhere. Stood by the desk that said in very large letters, “Wait here to be seated,” for what seemed like an eternity. Cue the “sever” who was devoid of a name tag so I can only describe him. Longish hair and a septum piercing with a ring through it. I asked for a table for 4 to which he seemed surprised I was asking to sit down. He then proceeded to stare around the restaurant before telling us to find a seat anywhere and either order on the app or at the bar. I thought the idea of waiting somewhere to be seated would be that we were shown to a table. I noticed this was a theme throughout our visit with several people coming in standing around for ages before either leaving or finding their own tables. Before you think it was busy hence that waiting. It wasn’t! Now to the ordering process. On the app is the coldest most anti customer service way of ordering ever and why it may be ok for kids who spend their every waking moment with their heads buried in their phones some of us still like to speak to actual people. Ordering at the bar was not an option at this time. Our children and I were looking forward to burgers as they did look very good. However this was unavailable on the app. I went to find our server to ask him about the burgers only to be told there were none available. I said it would’ve been nice if he had informed us about this when we asked to be seated to which the very short and rude reply was, “There’s a sign on the door,” then proceeded to walk off. Before you ask the sign was on an A4 piece of paper and not that obvious. Besides any decent server would’ve informed us there were no burgers available when greeting us at the door. With two very hungry children and not wanting to drag them elsewhere we opted for the chicken options. Cue the food which incidentally took 40 minutes to arrive. The kids Hoppy boxes were chicken nuggets and chips, but to rub salt in the wound they arrived with some colouring pencils and pictures to colour in. This would’ve been helpful at the time we ordered. The chicken was greasy and the chips soggy. We had to ask for the drinks that came with them otherwise they wouldn’t have come. My wife had a walnut, bacon and blue cheese salad. One tiny cube of blue cheese and salad leaves that had seen better days. The £9 truffle and Parmesan chips were soggy and too oily. I had buttermilk chicken wings. The chicken was dry and the kitchen tried to disguise this by drowning them in buffalo sauce. The server was doing his best to remain invisible and never did a table check and didn’t event collect our plates. Disappointed doesn’t go far enough to explain this experience and needless to say it would take a minor miracle or this place being the only place left on the planet that serves food before I would consider returning. The best thing about our experience was leaving!

She didnt lead us to the table with menus and seat us. Then it took her 20 mins to bring the menus and take our food and drinks order. When eventually we received our food order I could not eat my chicken as it was over cooked and too difficult to chew. The onion rings were over cooked and tasted of stale oil. We did not receive a courtesy call half way through our meal to see if the food was ok nor were we asked if any of us would like another drink. We got up to pay and I did get a refund on my chicken at least. On a whole we got there at 12.30 and left at 2.30 and had 1 course and 1 drink!!! Really disappointed in the whole experience.

good place to get a burger and some fries - unfortunately the prices have increased a lot, and fries also need to be ordered separately from the burger, making for a slightly more expensive night out - there service is oftentimes quite slow, especially when serving food - wings wednesday used to be a really good event, however the new recipe makes the buffalo wings way too sour to enjoy, they do have some good vegetarian and vegan options though - it can be quite full on the weekends, meaning you probably have to book in advance

Our first and last visit. We were having a lovely day in Exeter and fancied an early evening meal and a few drinks. We weren't greeted at the door and offered a table - had to go to the empty bar and find staff to ask. Beer and cider were very expensive - despite Brewdog brewing most of it. Our pints were short and when I took mine back to the bar for a top up - no apologies, quick squirt and it still wasn't a pint. It was like I'd asked for something free despite paying a fortune for 90% of a pint. We were about to order our burgers when we realised that we would have to pay £3.50 to add chips - come on, the burgers were expensive in the first place! So we left without ordering food and went to The Botanist around the corner. Chips included for the same price.

I attended a Christmas 'meal' as part of a social in the run up to Christmas. Roughly 35 to 40 people. Shocked by the price of drinks and like another reviewer amazed to see them pouring cheap cocktails out of a can and charging £8 a go! The next shock was for the 'meal' to come out and consist of what i thought was a few starters which actually turned out to be the 'meal'. Everyone was absolutely fuming at the lack of food and quality. So it turns out it was a sharing buffet, which would have been fine but you didn't even get a plate to eat off. We ate off napkins and had to fight over the few trays and bowls that came out between nearly 40 of us. I spied one bowl of chips and I mean a breakfast bowl full! I couldn't get over the fact in total as a group we were seemingly served a couple of bowls of mac n cheese, a few sliders of mini burgers, chicken wings, pigs in blankets and fried cheese. About an hour in and another bowl of chips and mac n cheese turned up with a member of staff apparently apologising saying we should have given you more food. For nearly £1000 in food revenue from our tables we were gob smacked at the absolute joke of a meal served up. Sorry I should also add the cheap mince pies served up at the end with a singular small bowl of ice cream between 8??

When you order an £8 cocktail kn a bar, I expect to see them make me a cocktail. Instead, they grab a can out the fridge and shake it up and pour into a glass. Yes those cans you find in Tesco for £2 that taste rank. Brew Dog began as a great concept but their eye watering prices for beer are beyond a joke. Their beer is OK but they now are simply out to rip you off. Save your money folk as there are loads of excellent real bars in Exeter where the bartender will actually make you your cocktail! It was a Sunday night so that's only why 3 star's for atmosphere, very quiet, staff were great food good to loved the dips especially the Carolina mustard sauce, shame the don't offer that as one of there main tossing sauces, I also didn't like paying for my meal before hand,

Absolutely shocking customer service. Prices are obscene and their system is a mess. I wouldn't be surprised if they go bust pretty soon.

Absolutely ridiculous place. Customer service was horrendous and they treat customers with contempt. Food quality was pretty poor and overpriced.

Terrible customer services. Cancelled our confirmed table booking on the day. After a phonecall, the restaurant confirmed it was a system error but were unable to allocate our party a table as they have to remain free for 'walk ins'. They then hung up before i could ask for alternative dates etc.

Great place for fun lunch. Beers were excellent and the burgers were amazing. Yes it is a pricey place but worth a visit…the young staff were friendly, kind and fun.

One of the best places for chicken wings in Exeter. I visit them atleast once a month for Wings Wednesday. I’ve tried all the sauce flavours here, with the buffalo sauce and the Korean bbq sauce and I must say I’m a fan of the latter. Unlimited wings for £13 is just as good as it can get. The wings are always fresh and crispy to the core, and the Korean bbq sauce adds a hint of spice that it needs. The mayo dip is also delicious. I also enjoy just the fried wings sometimes with the sauce on the side. The staff is also amazing and very responsive, and I’ve never had any issues in placing my orders or waiting for my refills. In fact, I do really enjoy their rock, paper, scissors game as well where you play the game with one of the servers, and if you win, you get a free dessert. The last time I played, I actually won the free dessert and I was surprised to see that I could actually choose any dessert from the menu and it would be on the house. It is definitely one of the first places that comes to my mind if I think of eating out on a Wednesday. Definitely a go-to place for wings lovers.

We ordered our drinks via the QR code on the table and waited over 45 minutes for food. Then, waited over an hour for drinks. Waiter wasn’t interested when I asked where our tables drinks were. Shocking experience

Very friendly environment. Dogs are welcome. We went for a work function and the staff where very helpful. I did not like the non alcoholic beer at all, so the bartender brought me samples of the others they had, without me asking. He was vert attentive. The food was spot on exactly what we ordered. I would recomend brew dog.

Really amazing food, I hate a patriot burger and it was absolutely lovely, can't fault it. However, the atmosphere was so dead and boring I felt like everyone could here everything I was saying to my gf friend because it was so quiet in there. And the server seemed pretty anxious....

Been waiting 25 minutes for a drink after ordering on the app. Went inside to ask if the order even went through. She just said yes but we have a lot of tickets, then wandered off. Nearly half an hour now. I only ordered a pint, not a five course meal. There's no queue, nobody pouring drinks, no semblance of an apology. This is genuinely the longest time I've ever waited for a pint, and I've queued at gigs and festivals more times than I can count. We've had to put more time on the parking ticket too. Absolutely pathetic level of service.

Food was okay but very packed. There is an upstairs and a downstairs but the upstairs ran out of food and no one was replacing it. When I asked if they were bringing any more food up, one of the staff members was really rude and told me to go downstairs. Having health issues this is difficult for me. When I spoke to the manager on duty, the girl who had rudely told us to go downstairs came over and started shouting. The manager on duty never said anything to her but the customers and myself were totally disgusted.

I was searching for a Halal restaurant in Exeter and found one with a great menu selection. The food was delicious as well.

Visited with my brother on a rainy Saturday. We enjoyed the cathedral views as we ate. The servers were very helpful - they took the time to check the ingredients for their milkshakes to see if they were suitable for me. I was really glad to see they were made from ‘natural’ pure as opposed to syrups as the syrups normally aggravate my ibs badly. So I got a real treat! We also ordered two fry ups - my only critique is there was a huge amount of beans which filled us up too much that we struggled to manage the toast. I think half the beans would have been perfect portion wise. It was all freshly made and delicious. I can’t wait to visit again!
