Perfect, customer service brilliant. If your looking for fried chicken, chicken burgers, beef burgers or even milkshakes then this is the place in Exeter.

i love this food and i do eat here often but the burgers are sometimes very pink and i don’t mind a bit of pink but this time it was way too much i had to take it out. other than that all the food is amazing.

Great food, outside seating but it’s really nice. Well worth a trip for some fantastic food. I had the special special called alan I mean what can I say it was immense. Looking forward to coming back real soon!!

Genuinely one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff & the most delicious chicken tenders tray with all the extras. Highly recommend the Exeter rum too! Will definitely be back....probably for lunch.... tomorrow!

Ordered a large amount of food from Uber Eats. Missing a portion of chips. The OG Tenders were pathetic. £7.50 for about 100g of super skinny super short overcooked chicken pieces that looked nothing like what is advertised. Burger was nice and chips were good. Won't be returning.

Firstly would like to say, me and partner have eaten here several times and always really enjoyed the food and atmosphere,however we went on Sunday and that will be the last time I will ever eat there ,was told outside dinning only,,although no one was inside, which we took on chin,wasn’t really not to happy about sitting outside with the seagulls and pigeons hovering,and being watched by all the crackheads and fruit loops. Placed our order 2 burgers 2xdirty fries some wings a coke and 2 ciders,starving hungry and excited for the food to arrive, 20mins later our excited soon crashed and burned when the food turned up in cardboard sweat boxes and wooden cutlery and a paper cup for my cider,now had I been at a festival or street fair this wouldn’t have been to much of an issue,if I wanted sweat box food could have saved £45 and gone kfc,so £63 later which might I add I do not have a problem spending,but spending restaurant prices for festival service boils my piss,which leads me onto the next issue,after we had eaten our food my partner needed to use the toilet as it was that time of the month,she was told she couldn’t use the toilet UNBELIEVABLE Proper felt that that we had our pants pulled down,shame really loved all our visits to this to this place and never had a problem,but will never see us again will be going slims chicken from now on

The team at eat the bird are absolute heroes and the food is nothing short of spectacular! Easily one of the best restaurants in Exeter!

Chicken tenders were slightly dry. Chips very nice and crispy. Shoutout to the new chef that gave me double the portion. Waiter was friendly

I’ll start by saying the vegan burger was very tasty! And so were the fries and ranch. I was accidentally given a regular chicken burger rather than the vegan one, but the waitress was very apologetic and offered me a free cocktail as an apology. The things I didn’t like so much were the outdoor seating (which attracted a lot of seagulls and pigeons), lack of toilet access, and lack of veggie options on the lunch menu. I was told that I could sub a vegan burger in the lunch deal, but when I got to the till I was told this wasn’t true and charged £5 more. So overall I probably wouldn’t come again but I did like the burger

Unreal Food and the staff were so good! Would Recommend the Chicanator and the Gochucang wings! Plus don't forget the Gravy & Garlic Mayo!

I have made this mistake twice now when really craving fried chicken but not wanting to go to KFC. I had high hopes about Eat The Bird because the reviews are incredible but both time the chicken has been amost inedibly salty. like salt poisoning levels. However, the staff are lovely and the milkshakes are really nice

Food was incredible, staff were really friendly (Molly was the name of our server, and was so nice ! ). I like the atmosphere and decor a lot, really fits the aesthetic of what the brand is, but some of the music was a bit experimental and weird (I think one song has chewing noises which was a bit much for me). Definitely worth a visit for tbe food alone though- we got the chicktator and the holy cluck and both are better than all other fried chicken I’ve tried in exeter. We shared the burgers and they cut them in half for us, which just elevated the service even more in my eyes, great time !

Amazing place! Food was unreal and the staff were so friendly!!

I have been to the Taunton restaurant a few times, first time visiting the one in Exeter and it was just as good. It is smaller than Taunton but it did feel like we had a more private experience which was nice. It is just off the high street so very well placed. Me, wife and children 11 and 8 had great food, portions are generous and we didn't finish it all, but it was really, really good. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner

Not as good as normal. Normally I highly recommend this place to everyone but the last time I went it just wasn’t as good. The fries were so over cooked they were like eating a crisp, no soft potato in the middle. The burger was extremely salty, my Husband had the kimchi one and I had the one with halloumi. His was even saltier than mine. Cocktails were good but the food was just a bit meh. Normally excellent. We shared a loaded fries and they were just wet, literally swimming in sauce to the point that it wasn’t tasty. But will try again. Maybe they were having an off day.

probably the best burger place in Exeter - amazing burgers and loaded fries, as well as brilliant milk shakes - the staff are friendly, but service can be a bit slow on a busy day - unfortunately, the interior is only average and quite small, meaning they are often booked out - prices are average as well, comparable to most burger restaurants

Food made me sick. Weird smelling sauce and soggy food that did not taste fresh at all. It's a shame they took over Turk's head kitchen too.

Oh wow This place is amazing, recommended by my daughter and granddaughter, honestly the best burger I have had. The service was fab my granddaughter has Celiac disease which was not a problem she loves it here and I can see why .the food is delicious . I will definitely be back 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Eat the Bird has been my go-to place since they opened in Exeter. I have tried pretty much every burger they offer, and they are all absolutely delicious! I also love their chicken wings. They are a bit smaller now but still delicious. 10/10.

Can't recommend this place highly enough. If I lived close enough to get take away I'd be very broke... and very fat! A real street food experience, with the kitchen tucked away in a skipping container and a row of comfy tables and booths of you want to dine in - and don't be put off by the name; you can eat the cow, the pig, or the (veggie alternative) Chick*n if that's your preference. The selection of burgers is amazing, the fries are divine, and the cocktails are well made and perfectly presented.

Unfortunately, I lack pictures, but please, do not mess with this places definition of spicy. Hot means hot, not just slightly tingly.... but that doesn't mean to say that things lack in flavour! I was incredibly impressed with my chips being crisp and fluffy, where the tenders? My gosh, can you even compare? I will say, the cream soda was nice, although the sparkling water used to make it was a tad flat, far too much syrup was used, and I do not like to have a warm cup for cold drinks. I will be back, once I've recovered from the heat!

Absolutely love Eat the bird, the food is always delicious and the menu has something for everyone, but for the second time, both the buffalo and the gochujang wings were soooo salty. I love salt, I use a lot of salt on my food, but these wings are so salty, the sea is jealous. They’re cooked to perfection, but you could give them as a salt lick to a goat.

Great food and great service from eat the bird. Our booking hadn't gone through fully online the day before, but the hostess looked into it for us and let us know when we could come back and get lunch a little bit later. Our fault for not confirming fully the day before. When we got back, the menu options were great as well as a special that was great. Not just great fried chicken, my special had brisket which was also great. Even though the double dip came with gravy, we had to order another portion as it was so good that we both wanted more 👌🏻 The music was good, I like loud music, and I might be getting old, but at times we did struggle hearing each other chat over the bench. Cannot fault the food and service. Atmosphere was good and didn't feel rushed at all on a busy Saturday lunch service. House made cream soda brought back childhood memories without any artificial nastiness included that comes with store bought.

Although I haven’t eaten it, I give it a five-star rating.

Very lucky to get a table as a walk in so would definitely recommend pre booking. The beef burgers were excellent and really enjoyed the chicken wings and tenders too. HUGE portion of (delicious) chips with each burger so if you’re ordering a bit of a mix then you only really need one portion between two.
