We had a fantastic night with friends&family for my birthday 🎂 🥳 there was 6 of us, and we didn't wait long for drinks or meals...which was impressive! As we were a large group. Dan served all evening and he was absolutely 💯 amazing 👏 his a credit to Miller&Carter Thank you Dan🥰

Food quality was excellent as always. This was a busy bank holiday Sunday evening but still disappointing that three different items were unavailable. However we were given a discount because of this so ended up satisfied. Jake’s service was particularly efficient and pleasant.

The steak was cooked to perfection. Best steak I had in a very long time. Karen who served us was very quick to come and take our orders and very nice and polite. Definitely worth paying a bit more for the quality of the food.

Arrived early for our booking, but that was not a problem. Seated very quickly and drink orders taken, whilst we perused the food menu. Quite a few offers on, and Lija (our waitress), was very helpful. Drinks arrived and food ordered. I ordered a steak, which was cooked to perfection by Paul. My Wife had the Burger Steak, which again was cooked to perfection. All in all, excellent service and food. But, it’s not cheap. Special occasions only for us.

Great food and service but overpriced slightly.

The service was exceptional tonight Lisa who served us was amazing really friendly was very attentive and made sure to come back to check on how each course was. Food was amazing steaks cooked to exactly how we both like them thank you Chris The up grade to the restaurant was well worth being closed for a month. We shall be back again

Got seated very quickly, got our order in just after, thought to myself this is good as we’ve been before, but I will under no circumstances return, we eventually got our meals then were quickly forgotten about, we finished our meal then waited at least 30 minutes still no one came so my wife got the attention of the waiter, table eventually cleared, asked for a dessert menu, then 20-25 later the waiter returned, we didn’t order a dessert as waiting probably 40-50 minutes from our main meal. This is not normally the service we get but this was very poor, and £100 later spoiled what should have been a lovely evening.

Service was very personable. Lisa gave recommendations that were tailored to us individually as customers, and was knowledgable of the menu’s intricacies. Created a comforting environment that I would recommend to anyone.

We were at their reopening after a full refurbishment! It felt as friendly as ever, if not more so, the staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable and the food is excellent, it's the only place to buy a decent steak, cooked to perfection as you like it 😋

Brilliant service from Kelly and lovely food

Our first experience of Miller & Carter and it was first class. Although it was a couple of minutes before someone was available to greet us (obviously busy) we were then welcomed & shown to our table. The service was top class as was the food. Observing other customers dishes being delivered to them was very pleasing, it all looked amazing. Laura served us and was welcoming, informative, friendly, professional and efficient. Nick was the Grill Chef and both our dishes were superb. We will definitely be returning.

So good i was only here a couple of days ago but could stop thinking about how good the food was. Last time I was here Sam served me and today Kelly and Jay was the grill chef. Really lovely staff you should be proud

The award winning 12oz Ribeye steak was loverly. My partner is Gluten free so was please to see that they had a dedicated gluten free menu, no faffing with allergen lists. She had the full rack of ribs. The meat fell of the bone. Only minor criticism would be the lack of some salad with the ribs.

We had a lovely dinner catching up with friends. Our server, Ellie, was very attentive and made sure our gluten free friend wasn’t made to feel awkward at all. Our Grill chef Nick cooked our food to perfection. We will be back again.

Food was amazing and waitress was lovely, Lisa & Sue. We love coming here! Starters good, steak and chicken perfectly cooked and dessert good. The decor has been completely overhauled. Large free car park.

Our first time at Miller & Carter Southampton. We were celebrating our 45th Wedding Anniversary. Our waitress Laura was polite, friendly and professional. We were given a celebratory dessert too.

Absolutely brilliant. Food was top notch as always thanks to Mario. We were served by the lovely Robin who had such an amazing attitude and boosted our experience. Will be back again, is one of our favourite restaurants. What I will say though is the dessert brownie tasted a little bit overcooked which left a burnt taste in my mouth, otherwise was a great experience!

Absolutely brilliant service and food! Second time we've been and it was just as, if not more delicious. Our daughter picked to go here for her birthday, tonight and it didn't disappoint. Leyla was exceptionally happy, patient with us ordering so much and made our daughter feel very chuffed when she wished her a happy birthday. The man at front of house also wished her a happy birthday, which was a very nice touch. It says on the bottom of the QR scanner that the grill chef is called nick. He and all of the other hard working staff, absolutely nailed every meal 👌 10/10

I had a fantastic experience thanks to the incredible team at the restaurant. Karen, our server, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel right at home and ensured everything we needed was taken care of quickly and with a smile. A special shoutout to Nick, the grill chef, whose skill in the kitchen truly impressed us. Every item that came off the grill was cooked to perfection—flavorful, juicy, and clearly prepared with care. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it shows in every bite. Karen and Nick made our visit memorable. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Lovely food. And good service. Was served by Izzie and food was cooked by Stevie. Izzie was on the ball, and very efficient. Food was could perfectly. We had two sirloin steaks (medium to well done) and a full rack of ribs. The ribs feel off the bone, and the steak was lovely and juicy… Had the cookie dough pie with ice cream for dessert, and as puddings go, it was lovely, and a nice sweet treat! We will be back. ❤️ Returned a month later and was served by Kelly.

First time at Miller and Carter and what an excellent experience. Jake our server was bloody lovely and made our evening very enjoyable. We were a large table of 14 celebrating my daughters 18th and from the booking to leaving, the service was exceptional - Thank you for making our evening memorable ❤️

Great meal for mother's day, quick service.

My wife and I visited M&C tonight. First time to this big US brand in UK, we were excited but we are left disappointed. I don’t mind paying a lot for anything if it is worth it but it has to be value for money. We paid £6:95 for 7 small prawns. The steaks were nice but nothing special, these were accompanied by some over fried onion thing, a quarter of a tomato and we don’t see the attraction of a lump of iceberg lettuce with a salad dressing poored over it and a few croutons chucked on. £5 for 330ml IPA topped it off. If you served this in the US they’d walk out! Sorry, you’re charging top dollar for less than average food. We won’t be back. Against my better judgement I returned here 7 years later. Unfortunately I didn’t see a marked improvement. Prices are still higher than the food deserves and the service is no better than McDonalds! No table cloths, paper napkins, having to ask for condiments and staff that don’t know how to deliver food to a table properly (leaning in front of patrons rather than serve from behind). I won’t be back!

Excellent food as always. This is a great place to go to have a steak, that's well above average that's better than most pubs. I would say that it's worth booking as this is a very busy restaurant. Great for parties or special occasions
