Millcroft Tea Gardens in Rochdale

Wonderful place open on Sundays and bank holidays in season.It has been open for over 100 years.Well worth a visit.We just love it.

We live in Norden and this little gem has been a go to for years.....only open Sundays and bank holidays..it is a fab little stop off on a dog walk through Ashworth valley...great family run t room...lovely food great staff friendly and helpful.....you have to sit outside if you have a dog..however there are seats tables and umbrellas if the weather is not great...proper mugs of tea as well love it

Absolutely loved it! Delicious homemade food, everyone was so friendly and you could tell they all enjoyed being there. The place is spotlessly clean, a credit to the owners. We will definitely go back with our family, the grandchildren will love it too!

We love it here ,take family or walk on our own from Norden.Have been numerous times this year lovely food and service.Ignore any negatives who would expect to get served on a day they are not open just open Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Do visit the food is wonderful.Family of 9 today everyone had a great time all home made something for everyone,kids loved their icecreams.Finished off with a walk in the woods Highly recommended.

Arrived at 2.30 on Saturday afternoon with1 year old baby in pram - quite a walk to what is a tea shop in a private home. Door wide open upon arriving with people sat at door enjoying the day. Whilst looking to get some cash from the bag to buy some ice creams the door was promptly slammed shut without any word from the people inside. All it would have taken was a polite " sorry we dont open on Saturdays" - now found out only open Sundays!! Rumour has it this place is facing closure anyway and to be honest they deserve it if this is how they treat people!!

As regulars to this establishment we were wishing away the weeks until opening on Mother's Day. Five of us went for the walk with our three dogs. The weather was fine, but getting cold however we were prepared as we knew that having the dogs with us would mean eating at the outdoor seating. It was very busy, so ordering and waiting for the food took longer than usual, but it was fine. The food was too the usual high standard, and great portion sizes. I never leave here hungry. Thoroughly recommended.

Greta place. Very quirky, very much a famil6 place. Greta stop off after a long walk. Best fish finger butties ever. Great for families from grandma and grandad to little ones. Lovely family run place by a local family who are keeping the tradition o& Millcroft going. Well done Becky.

We visit regularly and have never been disappointed. Excellent generous portions, always served with a pleasant smile. It's a great stop-off mid walk through Ashworth Valley, or as a destination in itself. Good value too.
