The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented, Portions were generous. Service was excellent, the lady took time to advise us on different dishes. The restaurant was busy, it was a Wednesday early evening. Prices were not too high. Will definitely be visiting again.

Came on a little break to millbrook and unexpectedly had the best indian i've ever had, from the only takeaway that was open in the whole town. I got a chicken tikka jalfrezi (my first time ordering a chicken tikka curry) - and it's been my go-to ever since. Hopefully I'll return to the town / the takeaway at some point again!

Decent Indian food, portion size was good, not too expensive, good service. From the photos can see what we ordered for 2 people - total came to approx. £20pp excluding drinks. Eating in worked out to approx 13% more than the takeaway menu suggests, but that doesn't seem unreasonable. Perhaps would normally expect things like poppadoms and chutney etc. to be complimentary but wasn't a major gripe. Wouldn't mind going back if we were back in the area again!

We are holidaying in whitsand bay and tried a takeaway from this curry house. The gentleman that took our order was charming and our food was ready when we arrived. It was hot, tasty and there was loads of it, enough for a small portion the next day too. We had chicken tikka masala and korma and coconut rice and all was fantastic.

Firstly I must say that the food in the Millbrook Indian Restaurant is very good but please be aware!!!! There are two menus in use, one for takeaway and one for eat-in, and therefore two lots of pricing. We found that the takeaway prices are about normal for an Indian with no license but the eat-in prices work out to be over an astonishing 60% more which makes a meal very expensive indeed. We had an average meal for two costing us £55 to eat-in which was quoted as about £35 off the takeaway menu. Although this is apparently due to their overheads we did feel majorly ripped-off, and as locals we won't be eating there again.

We stayed at Aqua Sana spa and decided to eat here as part of our spa package, we had £50 worth of vouchers to use as part of our spa packageNice service, but have had better food, I had chicken doppiza which had a brown gravy and did not taste like any other one I have had, the chicken was nice but I left most of the sauce,Hubby had chicken shaslick which tasted fine but was a very small portion for a main dish.We normally share a rice in an Indian restaurant so only ordered 1, a very small finger bowl of rice arrived, considering this was £3.50, we were gobsmacked at the portion size, two spoonfuls each was all there was.A Nan bread and onion barji rings were ordered, these were what was expected and tasted fine.A cobra beer and a gin & tonic, total cost to leave hungry £49.70!!It was almost empty when we were there 8pm on a Friday night, at those prices we were not surprised.

The staff were very welcoming, and the menu is comprehensive enough for a curry house out in the Cornish wilds. Eat-in prices are more London Zone 1 though, with a pilau rice or a garlic naan coming in at £3.90 each. Given we had rented a holiday home, and it was only a Wednesday, we opted to take out which brought the prices down a touch. The poppadoms were fine; maybe could have had a little more flavour. We had a chicken balti, a garlic chicken, a chicken passanda, a couple of pilau rice and two garlic naans. The naans were very good. The rice was okay, if pricey. The mains dishes were strange. My chicken balti certainly had flavour, and a variety of vegetables in which I wasn't expecting but certainly were not to its detriment. However, it was as though a few spoonfuls of sweet-and-sour sauce had been added, giving it a strange flavour.I tried some of the garlic chicken, and again, weirdly sweet and a bit sour. My wife commented that it had a hint of a curry from a jar. The passanda naturally has a sweeter flavour and seemed okay overall. Overall this did the job and if I was ever in the area again for a week I'd probably try again. But if any competition opened up, I'd try that first.

The service was friendly, the food was good but there were two niggles that really spoilt the meal. Firstly guests are expected to leave the restaurant and purchase their drinks either in the pub or the supermarket next door (a bit odd and doesn't help to make a relaxed meal). Secondly poppadoms are not served with pickles inclusively (as in most other places) so diners have to pay separately which in our case pushed the cost of three poppadoms to £5.60. Overall this was an expensive meal; rice £3.80, curry £7.20. I felt it was over-priced. Unlikely to return as a consequence which is a pity as it's local.

We arrived on a Saturday at 6pm - there was one other person dining so we didn't expect the delays or the chaos that ensued. They were clearly understaffed, our food took 50 minutes to come out and during that time the phone was ringing off the hook - orders not being taken and when they were, customers were told it was a wait of well over an hour. The staff seemingly had no idea what to do - one of them couldn't even operate the cash register. I had to go out in the rain to get cash out of an ATM as the debit card machine would not operate whilst on the same line as the (constantly) ringing telephone! It really was like a scene from Fawlty Towers. It's saving grace was the food was very tasty and hot - if not a little greasy but dine-out Indian food in the UK always is, from my experience. I will not be going back there.

This is a review of the food rather than the restaurant as we've only ever had takeaways from them, which have all been excellent! We particularly enjoy the chicken achanak, a good alternative to a jalfrezi if you fancy trying something different. Their sag aloo is also fantastic, it's long been my test dish to determine what constitutes a decent Indian, having travelled in Indian in my youth! We've tried various starters, mains and sides and all have been very well spiced, balanced and richly flavoured. Their sundries, breads and extras are great as well. It's our first choice for a takeaway in the Rame area, and a very welcome addition to the community. Staff are always friendly and obliging and the owner Ahmed is especially helpful in guiding you through the menu if your not sure what you fancy, but know the kind of flavours you like! We will no doubt be back again soon!

This restaurant hasn't been open very long yet so there are still a couple of teething problems. I've visited this restaurant twice to sit in since it has opened and have taken away once. All the meals that we have had have been excellent. I work overseas and mostly my work is with Indians and Asians so I get a lot of spicy food when I'm away. I can honestly say that the food from this restaurant has so far proved to be the best Indian food I've eaten in the UK. The only down sides are that the ambience if you sit in is not too great. It's like sitting in an entrance hall. Unfortunately I can't see how it could be improved as the restaurant is so small. Also, there is no license so you have to bring your own alcohol if you want it. That isn't really a problem as there is a Spar and Co-op next door given you a fairly good choice of beverages. The staff are more than willing to supply the glasses though. I found the staff extremely helpful and accommodating on all the occasions that I've been there. I shall definitely be using their services in the future, because, not only do I live in the village but also the value and quality are worth it.

The opening of an Indian restaurant on the Rame Peninsular is very welcome and the food here is good enough to make a journey to Plymouth unnecessary. The portions are generous and the dishes well prepared and enjoyable. The interior decor, although not flock wallpaper, is from a decade or so ago and the lighting in places, is very wierd, making yellow food look orange, but none the less the staff are attentive, charming and friendly and the three occasions I have dined there since the restaurant opened have been enjoyable. My, and my companions, only grip is the "Corkage" fee added to the bill. Come on guys it's not the diners fault that the restaurant dosen't have a licence so don't punish them by charging £1.50 per bottle of beer and £2.50 for wine. After purchasing the alcohol locally this makes it a very costly drink especially when an iced jug of tap water and glasses are provided gratis.

I do love Cornwall but finding good Indian food is not easy. At last a restaurant that serves good food that isn't covered in oil.We had a takeaway and my vegetable jalfrezi was very good - not as spicy as some but had a lot of flavour. Others had rogan josh, sag prawn, chicken tikka masala - all were good. We also had sag paneer, tarka dal, Bombay aloo and rice and nans. It came to less than £9 a head. The menu is pretty bulk standard but reasonably wide. You can look at it on their Facebook page. All cook on time. We will certainly go there again.

A small friendly restaurant, lovely staff and a great chief. This restaurant should be fully booked all the time but as it's new word still needs to get around. It was quiet tonight but not in a bad way, the staff were attentive but not overbearing and spent time chatting to us after our meal. We have had numerous takeaways and never been disappointed so sitting in was a lovely change and much enjoyed.Thank you all for a lovely relaxed (filling) evening. We will be back soon and spreading the word.

I know this place can't have been open too long, as I remember the shop that was there previously. It's a great asset to the village and another good place to eat on the Rame Peninsula. It's not big, and it's not stylish.....in fact the decor is almost 70s or 80s, but they have tried and it's not shabby. The staff are friendly and approachable. I don't know if they were the owners, but the front of house staff, although being quite young, were very easy to get on with, were very helpful, and were on the right wavelength. It was hard to fault the food - it was much better than other Indians I've eaten around here recently. There were six of us in our party, and each course was brought to our table without too much delay, and each person's order came out with everyone elses, so clearly they're on top of things in the kitchen. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and everyone else was the same, and we did tend to sample bits of each others as we often do, and all were very enthusiastic about everything. Besides the not too exciting decor, there are a couple of points worth making: price wise, although not over the top, prices were at the top end of average - you can definitely find cheaper elsewhere.....that said, I don't mind paying a bit more for quality. Rices and extras though I thought were a bit over the top. I think pilau rice for example was about £3.50 or so - it may have been more, and I'm sure it wasn't less. The only other down side is the lack of parking. There is no dedicated parking for the restaurant itself, and for those of you that know Millbrook, any parking at all is a bit of a mare. If in doubt, there's a public car park about 300m up the road, and I think it's free in the evenings. One other thing - the restaurant isn't yet licensed, so bring your own. The local Co-op is next door and has a nice selection, with white wines kept in the cooler, and I think that's open 'til 10pm each day...(and probably Sundays too, but check it out in case I'm wrong on that). On the whole, I'd recommend the restaurant. At least give it a go and see what you think.

It was the first visit to this restaurant. It was my birthday and we decided to get a take away meal for our dinner as it was getting late and we all wanted to get back home at a reasonable time. We ordered different dishes as my daughter prefers a mild curry and my husband prefers a spicy dish. We had chicken tikka, chicken korma, chicken dansak and garlic chilli chicken masala with garlic naan bread. This meal did not disappoint. It is the best curry that we have had for a very long time. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. We have had curries all over Britain and across the world. We have been to Goa and Kerala, so know good food when we taste it. We will definitely return, maybe for a sit down meal at the weekend. Highly recommended.

we have had 3 very good takeaway meals and 2 dine in meals, the food tastes amazing so very authentic, tell them what you want hot, medium hot, spicy what ever you taste tell them and you will get what you really like nothing is to much trouble. the price's are very good too, just 2 tip's, if you order takeaway order 1hour before you want it the tell them what time you will pick up or what time you want it delivered, and if you are eating in have a pint over the road first then go and order your meal then go back and finish your drink's. all the food is cooked to order and therefore takes a while but well worth the wait.

Lovely meal, beautiful Nan Bread, puffed up and not doughy or greasy, Tarka Dahl exceptionally good and a very flavoursome Malahi Dali (we ate in- remember for takeaway Nan doesn’t travel well and you get lots of sauce with the Malahi Dali which is great for dunking the Nan bead in). Great value for money in this part of the world, be aware they have a busy takeaway service as well

Very nice place with adorable staff. They were really helpful and made our day. Biryani was a great dish, and the mix Nepalese Shish is highly recommended. 💕
