Milano Italian in South Gloucestershire

Just had a lovely meal here. Food was fantastic, service was great. Am looking forward to coming back to try something else on the menu!

Had a wonderful evening with friends, all meals were excellent, only criticism was that there could have been more meat.

My family and I have been to Milano's on a few occasions now and I have to say we have never been disappointed. Food is always well prepared, great portion sizes and tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed, charming and friendly. Staff are always welcoming and the right amount of attentive - happy to step back or have a joke with you! Would really recommend.

Went for food here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was mostly empty except for 3 or 4 tables and we ordered our food within about 5 mins of sitting down so we thought we'd be in for some good service. How wrong we were. The starters came over an hour after ordering - if the restaurant had been full I wouldn't have minded so much but with less than 15 people in the whole place I really don't think this was acceptable. When the food came it was not worth the wait at all. I ordered Paté and I'm pretty sure it had just been bought at a local supermarket. Then we settled in for the long wait for our main (again, it was an eternity) and when it came it was the worst carbonara I've ever eaten - it was more or less spaghetti and cream with a little bacon thrown in. Not once during service did anyone come and ask us how food was and at no point did anyone apologise for the completely unacceptable wait times. One of the worst dining experiences I've had recently. Would not go back.

Had a delicious three course meal. Every course was perfect Lovely atmosphere Yash was a super host. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Visited here with my family last night. The food was Excellent all of our meals were really tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming giving the place a really nice atmosphere. We all came away happy and full. I would thoroughly recommend it.

There were two large unconnected groups, including ours and the restaurant was almost full. The food was delivered to each group with everyone in that group getting their food at virtually the same time. The quality of the food was excellent and the staff were so efficient and helpful that the whole restaurant became as one group, the atmosphere was very friendly with everyone joining in singing birthday songs for our group. It was a pleasure to be part of it and I would certainly recommend it to others.

Came here on Saturday evening after reading some good reviews. Not disappointed. Lovely starters of gamberoni and bruschetta. Good pizza and a tasty seafood pasta with a spicy kick. Good value too. Will definitely be back.

We visited this restaurant last night. This was our first visit, yet we were treated as if we'd been going there for years. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was cooked to perfection. All in all a very nice experience which I would recommend whole heartedly. We will definitely be visiting again. If you're thinking of going, they are very popular, so I'd suggest you book in advance.

We visited Milano’s tonight as we were staying in Yate for the night. The atmosphere was just as we like it, quite informal and The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. We had the Antpasto sharer to start which was very nice and just enough so that you weren’t too full. For mains, we had the Ricotta Ravioli and the Chicken and Spinach Penne Pasta in a Picante sauce, and again both were lovely. If we lived locally, this would definitely be an eaterie that we would visit regularly! They have only been open for about three months but if tonight’s visit was anything to go by, they have a long and happy future in front of them.

My husband and I plus a friend went here for our evening meal after being recommended by another friend. We had a voucher for a free bottle of wine and so decided to give them a go! Fast friendly and efficient service by a lovely lady waitress. We went the whole hog having starters, mains and dessert. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed every course and felt full afterwards but not over stuffed! The tiramisu we had for dessert was amazing and certainly did not taste anything like the shop bought stuff! Totally different and amazing. One thing I would say after having been to several other Italian restaurants is that maybe salad with the main course is not quite the correct item and we would have preferred vegetables or at least a choice. However saying that, each restaurant is different and that's just our opinion. It was a very pleasant visit and we have already booked to return. A new business and we hope they are successful. Go and give them a try!

Visited on Weds 20th March. Busy evening with a party of about 20 plus a few other diners. Very friendly welcome on arrival and the service was attentive and efficient all evening even though quite busy. We shared good quality tasting olives and an excellent tomato and pesto bread to start. The main courses we ordered of Risotto with seafood and chicken in a white wine, mushroom and cream sauce were really good. Plentiful seafood with the Risotto and the chicken with Tuscan potatoes and a mixed salad was great (if a little pricey at near 16 pounds). Would certainly recommend and we very much hope to return to a very good local independent business, hope it succeeds.

My husband and I went for a meal on 15th February. We had a bottle of wine, 2 starters and 2 mains. All were delicious and freshly prepared. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming and we thought the decor was tasteful and fresh. We will definitely be returning.

The Milano is a fairly new restaurant in Yate, it’s decor is new, pleasing and very well set up. When I first entered I had a smiling gentleman welcome me, and discussed my preferences for sitting. I already sensed the nice friendly atmosphere of the place.

Very obviously a brand new restaurant, the waitress was friendly and enthusiastic and friendly, but clearly not very experienced. The service was slow, but the food was very nice when it did come. We thought the interior could still do with tweaking: the walls are largely bare and the lighting a bit too dim to read the menu comfortably. There was no lock on the men's toilets and the ladies could do with sprucing up and a hook on the back of the door for handbags. A promising local eatery for a nice evening meal, but may prove to be a bit pricey for the location.
