Mijo in Calderdale

What a breakfast 5****** this was one of best breakfast I have had the black pudding was awesome all was 5**** worth every penny if breakfast was to go by rest of menu would be great

So nice, the staff, very friendly, we had the filled roll with bacon, sausage, black pudding, filled rolled with black pudding and egg, filled roll with sausage and egg and a brown bread toasted sandwich with bacon and sausage, all really very good quality, my only gripe old be the cost of adding a single item at £1.15 for one egg, in saying that, the quality was there. Coffee, superb, especially the flat white, important to know, just in case no alcohol till 11am, not an issue, but we we not driving and hot weather beckoned a bottle of beer at 10.30, naughty but nice

We've just been for lunch. We had ciabatas and American pancakes. The food was delicious, but the service was amazing. All staff were very friendly and attentive.

As far as it goes this was not fine dining it was better than that. Warm courteous welcome. (Outside raining)..Friendly staff. Service efficient. Food well prepared, plentiful. Excellent coffee. Toilets clean as was the restaurant. We thought it was good value and enjoyable. We would recommend. Table 8 two dogs 😊😄

Had the chilli dog and wedges with a chai latte, absolutely lovely great food great drink good service friendly staff even gave our dog biscuits, the place is clean and has toilet too. This was our second visit and won’t be our last

Had the breakfast. Bacon, sausage,egg, mushrooms, tomato, black pudding and beans(hot). Washed down with coffee. Set me up for another Monday. Great service.

Stopped here for breakfast. Clean establishment plenty of choice on the menu for all appetites and tastes. Toilet pedestal was a bit big for the ladies cubicle. Whilst the toilets were very clean the doors were grubby. The American Pancakes were home made and the bacon was good quality and cooked to customers personal taste. The hot chocolate was also delicious. The service was good and very good value.

Came to this cafe after seeing it on TV this morning - and also doing a bit of Happy Valley landmark spotting. Really nice spot in the town. Delicious coffee and best bacon butty I've had in a long time. I got to sit in the seat where Catherine Cawood sat - and I was even served by the ladies off the TV interview. Good times !!

Never been in here before and it’s safe to say myself or my family members will NOT be returning, went in for breakfast which cost £10 per breakfast and it was awful, so much so we’re all poorly today. The meat breakfast wasn’t nice at all, the sausage had an awful taste on both breakfasts, same with the bacon tough rubbery and tasted like they were on their way out. The vegi sausage you could have bounced across the cafe. Not good. The coffee was the only nice thing we had. Two staff members working the older lady was spot on, the younger one looked like she would rather be anywhere than where she was, leaving the older lady to run about doing everything. Will never return here.

Lovely La Perla meal at Cafe Mijo. Since the fire La Perla have moved to Cafe Mijo and are serving some wonderful food on Friday and Saturday evenings. We had a super meal, pasta for me and a risotto for my other half. Service was great and the food really nice. Would definitely visit again.

We visit Hebden regularly but this was our 1st time eating at Mijo’s. We will definitely eat here again as the full English breakfast we had was excellent with top quality ingredients.The other items on the menu also sound good, plus very friendly counter staff.

Possibly best situation in Hebden and largest cafe but crap coffee and poorly presented crumpets , no jam or anything else. Just barely grilled crumpets with a smear of butter. also £6 for a bacon barm!

Came in for a Sunday lunch. Food was good but the staff were lacking some. There was a young girl and boy working hard and playing lovely music but an older woman serving out a real downer on the visit! Never seen such a miserable worker! Thankfully the other workers made up for it. To make it worse as we were going one of the chefs came down not even in proper attire- didn’t make the business look good at all. Overall, the food was lovely and some staff were working hard but if you want to stay busy keep the chefs in the kitchen and teach some smiles!

Called in for a breakfast roll to start my day. Bacon and mushroom with a coffee. Once again not disappointed. Great food ,drink and service.

We have been here twice now late in the afternoon. Both times we were served but made to feel that we had to hurry so the cafe could be cleaned and shut. You should have a cut off time for serving as the way we were made to feel within 5 minutes of getting our drinks was not acceptable

Out shopping so decided to call in for a sit down. Had Bacon/ Mushroom sandwich. And a coffee. Prompt friendly service. Both food and coffee hot and tasty.

I've been here before with family and we were treated amazingly by the gentleman who served us. Today I was sat in an empty cafe and the young girl and guy behind the counter forgot about my drink for ages until one of them reminded the other. The guy then proceeded to load the dishwasher by seemingly throwing everything in with as much force as possible and I had to move seats due to the constant ear piercing noise of hitting crockery on crockery. The acoustics of that area are not good and with the constant slamming of the door, on an empty day the noise really travels. Even just making a coffee, everything was done with as much force and volume as possible. Although the cafe was empty the table next to me was not cleared the whole time I was there and I could hear the staff stood behind the counter talking so it was not because they were busy. The guy was telling the girl she uses too many teabags for customers and that he knows how to make money because he's a 'businessman'. The food was great but the staff really made the atmosphere and noise level really uncomfortable.

Came in with my partner for a couple of coffees and a breakfast I was pleasantly surprised with how good the full English was (it was even better then my mums) not to mention the fantastic music that was being played lovely atmosphere and friendly staff will be back again with the kids to try them American pancakes 😉
