We had a fabulous evening in this quirky Spanish restaurant. So many times I have walked past and the Spanish music is playing and everything is just saying come on in. So we decided to try for my sons special birthday and the food was amazing, so many of the dishes definitely had a special touch. Great choices for vegetarians, and they felt really included in the experience. Many thanks to our hosts

We went here on a bit of a whim as it had some of the best reviews of all the places that were open this time of year. I'm so glad we did! I'm vegan and the menu is carefully marked with all the dishes that are vegan or can be made vegan. My partner isn't vegan but does have a nut allergy - they listened very carefully about this and told us when the kitchen had last used nuts, and making a note on our order. We had: vegan paella, olives, vegan chili and garlic mushrooms, patatas bravas, fresh olive bread and balsamic vinegar, meatballs, a vegan version of meatballs. They were all delicious and we didn't feel over full at the end. The staff were absolutely lovely and we stayed chatting with them for about 20 minutes after we finished our food. It is obvious that they have a real passion for Spanish cooking. The place is small, only three tables, so it is well worth booking in advance. Granted it is only January, but we managed to book a table about an hour before we wanted to arrive. Overall, we really enjoyed visiting this place and would definitely return!

We have been here a few times when we come to Brixham over the last couple of years and always found the food and service brilliant. Unfortunately, tonight, it was a totally different story. Service was extremely slow and the food not as good. One dish served at a time and waited another time 10-15 minutes for the next one. They didn’t have time to cut our bread and when we asked for more bread with the ham/salami they didn’t have any left. The final straw came when the loaded fries came out cold. Such a shame as we have always enjoyed eating here. They said they were short staffed but with only 3 tables, i find it hard to believe. I don’t like to leave negative feedback but we were so disappointed.

Relaxing evening spent at this quirky restaurant hidden away. Great freshly cooked, flavoursome range of tapas, served by friendly staff- we will be back!

We literally discovered this wonderful little restaurant by chance during a visit to Brixham. Tucked away up an alley, it’s tiny, cosy and intimate with a only a handful of tables. The food was fantastic though, with authentic Spanish flavours and the meals all meticulously cooked fresh to order (we could see the ingredients being prepared in the kitchen, no packet stuff here!). The staff were wonderful with our two young children and we’ve been very strongly advised by our four and seven year olds that we HAVE to come back again on our next holiday. Definitely worth booking a table in advance as it very quickly filled up when we were there. Highly recommended!

This was possibly the worst place I’ve ever eaten. Young lad front of house didn’t know anything about the menu, clearly hadn’t worked as a waiter before, spilled our food all over the table (not replaced), and was generally clueless. Food was very overpriced for the very poor quality provided.. Avoid.

Atrocious. Words cannot describe my discontent at spending nearly £100 at this establishment tonight. We booked a table for 7pm and were greeted by a young lad at the door. After settling down, it became apparent that it was this lads first shift. The owner/manager left before we got served and said ‘these lot are new tonight, so good luck, hope it’s alright’. This should have rung alarm bells! The young chap was left to the front of house on his own and I don’t blame him at all for the awful experience. The food was bad, so bad. Cold meats from a packet, that were dry and stale on the edge. We watched the ‘chef’ take whitebait and chicken wings form Costco packaging and stick it in the fryer. Patatas bravas served with raw potatoes and luke warm tinned tomatoes. I could easily cook better at home and I have had ready meals that tasted better. 1 dish of the 6 we ordered was respectable. We mentioned this to the chef at the end and his response was ‘yes that’s my best dish’. He would benefit from practising the others. We were so excited to try this tapas bar, but I’d genuinely rather eat dog food. I feel physically sick spending a lot of my good earned money here. As we left, we spoke with the only other people in the restaurant and their thoughts matched ours. Shocking. terrible and disgusting. I could not recommend this place less. Avoid at all costs. Have a chippy, stay at home, don’t go to Miguels.

Recently visited Miguels’ with my friend, delicious food, all the dishes were freshly cooked and served at the table when ready, friendly helpful staff and great ambience, we had a lovely relaxed evening, will definitely visit again when in Brixham.

We had a lovely meal, dishes all freshly cooked so they came out when ready so nice and relaxed. We shared a couple of bottles of Spanish cider which I 'd never had. Would suggest you need to try and make yourselves more visible to entice more people down the alley. Perhaps better lighting or get the staff outside talking to people. Tell them there are tables inside, we heard some people outside but they couldn't see there were more inside tables and walked past. We had a great time and hope you develop the business.

Please, please, please DO NOT waste your time and money here!! The staff are rude and obnoxious. Even called the police whilst there saying theft of food. Who has tapas with one dish served at a time!! When speaking to staff they advised they are under staffed and that is how tapas is served!! They are not VAT registered and no itemised bill provided. We waited ages for drinks and food to b served a dish at a time. People were leaving due to complaints. To the point when I was complaining Another customer behind was also doing the same thing. No compromise and no regard to rules and regulations of the food industry. Paying premium prices for absolute nonsense. The restaurant has new owners who are very inexperienced, rude and very defensive. It’s a shame that they are feeding off previous owners compliments. If a restaurant looks empty u know y!!!

Found this gem of a restaurant down a side street. The service was the best I’ve received in a restaurant, of any standard, for a long time - warm, friendly, attentive and genuine without being over the top. The food is great - good quality Tapas at the right price. There are the usual Tapas items in the menu and all were really tasty - Prawns were the top dish out of the 6 we had Overall, the food is great but the service is what make this place - thoroughly recommended

Sadly we had an awful experience with our family here. We had to send back the cider that was beer the sangria that was not sangria and the food was poor. We love tapas but even being hungry didn’t make me even want to eat most of what we had. We couldn’t see our food as they didn’t light the candle we had to ask for cutlery, plates and napkins! We even had to ask for a menu having been sat for 45 mins. Maybe we got them on a bad night but we left very disappointed. To top it off when we went to pay there was no apology and they just presented us with a total No breakdown of what we actually paid for! There are not many places that I would say were terrible throughout this unfortunately is one of them and had no saving graces. In my opinion it was a waste of money and we would have been better off getting tapas from Tesco.

Are here last week whilst we was on holiday, food was good and the chef and waiters were really nice and very attentive. The restaurant itself could do with updating and tidying up, but food was good.

What a hidden gem. We have been meaning to visit this restaurant after finding it on our last visit on the jubilee weekend and we were lucky enough to secure a table this evening. Extremely dog friendly, very accommodating, great price. food amazing and service exceptional. The recent addition of a young waiter named Finlay is a great addition to the business, his client care is something to be proud. We had such a great evening that we have booked again for Saturday. If you are ever in the area please give these guys a go. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
