Great restaurant and excellent staff. I'm from the Midlands and first time visiting Torquay. I rang up on the day of my sons birthday as last minute choice so I phoned this restaurant requesting a table for 2 which they greatly accommodate us and even moved us to a table of our choice. Surprisingly the restaurant serves certain halal dishes if you ask on arrival which I loved. The service was immaculate as was the food. My son loved the king prawn main course from the specials. To top of the night they surprised my son with a delicious cake and created a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff highly recommend you visit this restaurant when you visit Torquay. Special thank you to the onwer for sorting everything out on short notice.

We visited this place few months ago for a special occasion. Ambiance is very pretty and warm. Service is excellent. They even ran through vegan options for us. The best thing is they have an open kitchen and you can actually see them cook your food. Which is amazing and their hygiene standard is amazing.

Served by Lily, who is warm and friendly, and served us promptly. We had a takeaway. Food is authentic and delicious.

We enjoyed a lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere. It was great to se the chefs cooking in front of us. I would definitely recommend.

JunJaow Thai Restaurant is so good, we ended up going twice in four days - just superb. Located on the edge of town and whilst there is street parking it can be quite tricky to find a space so do bear in mind if arriving by car. The ambiance is perfect, the restaurant is nicely atmospheric with the kitchen dividing up the space - I hadn't actually realised how big a space this was until entering, it's tardis like and was buzzing. Food is excellent, over the two visits we tried the Green Curry, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Thai - all were delicious and perfectly spiced. Service was also very good - we'll definitely be heading back - mains are prices 12-15 which is excellent value.

I had a reservation for my 12th birthday back in February this year. I couldn’t be any happier. Straight away when I walked in with my family they offered to put my birthday cake in the fridge and sat us at our table. The food was amazing! And the workers were very kind and friendly. A bit later after we finished eating multiple workers came out with my cake lighted up while singing me happy birthday. The interior is very nice and calm. Overall me and my family really enjoyed this restaurant. I definitely recommend it!

Delicious Thai food, Seemed freshly made. Great service. Afterwards asked for some takeaway to be delivered too and needed it delivered at a particular time for some guests that were arriving at a particular time. Was delivered bang on time.

Wow, what a find, an absolute belter. Our first time eating Thai and definitely not our last. Chris the owner was so accommodating. His team were so polite and helpful explaining the different dishes so we could order the right food for our pallets. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was faultless. If you are staying in or near Torquay, make a beeline for this restaurant. A must for any foodies.

My husband and I were looking forward a date night here. The food was lovely but wasn't blown away which we have been from other Thai restaurants in the bay. We were a bit disappointed with the general atmosphere, extremely loud and sat on a small crammed table. What really let our visit down was how we were spoken to. I called to apologise we were running late but we would still like to make our booking. His response was 'you're calling to tell me your late when you're late? Better that than not calling I suppose' followed by a miserable 'thanks' really quite rude and we were considering going somewhere else. It's a shame because we were looking forward to going.

We booked a table for 4 and ate around 6pm so it was not too busy hence only 4 star for atmosphere would expect a real buzz and great atmosphere when it's busy. The food was all great and the service very friendly throughout.. we were hosted mostly by Lilly and she was lovely. Dessert menu is amazing and we'll worth leaving room for! Highly recommend this for a Thai

Ordered rolls which were dripping in oil and meat inside undercooked, ate one, rest went to the bin. The duck is okay nothing special. Next time I’ll just wait for I am Thai to open rather than ordering from elsewhere. Almost £20 for okay duck & oily rolls. Will not order here again.

Had many takeaways from here and eaten there a few times, everything’s fantastic! Got a takeaway last night for a dinner party at home and everyone raved about it. Owner even gave me some complimentary beers. Staff team are lovely and atmosphere is perfect. Can’t recommend this place enough 5⭐️

We have been many times to the family run restaurant, Junjaow. It's authentic Thai food is consistently delicious. The menu is expansive so there are plenty of options to try something new each time. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated with an open kitchen with happy chefs cooking up the feasts. The waiting staff are friendly and helpful and always greet us with a smile. Junjaow is our go to restaurant in Torquay to bring friends for a celebratory meal or just drop in for dinner or a takeaway.

Lucky to get a table on a very busy Saturday evening. Staff very friendly and the food was excellent.

This is the fourth time we have visited. Highly recommended for both the food and quality of service.

What I liked most about this is it's completely open plan so you can sit in restaurant and watch your meal been cooked

Service was great, the delivery driver was polite and friendly. The chicken satay was to die for but the main was very bland and stodgy. It was nothing like when I eat in or previous deliverys. It was quite disappointing but I must say that’s the first time out of 20+ times I’ve ordered that I wasn’t pleased with the main dish.

Wrong order received twice. Food was tepid. Service wasn't great, got the order wrong, it wasn't even busy, and when mentioned to the waitress she said it was only her 2nd shift and she really didn't know what she was doing! Staff need better training before interacting with customers as you have now lost customers because we won't be back. Visited In September 2023 and it was lovely, certainly gone down hill since then.

There were six of us and we had a taste of almost everything. It was delicious. Service was impeccable and prompt. We were mostly served by Lilly. She was lovely. Will definitely recommend to friends 👌

A mid week meal is an excellent pleaser here. Staff friendly and the open plan kitchen shows off the skills of the Thai chefs and cooks. I recommend mid week as it is a quieter and more relaxed eat. Great food for sure.

Quality not great. I ordered medium but it was very mild. Not much content in either the spring rolls or massamam curry given the price. I live 2 mins away and food was barely warm. I won’t use them again.

. Friendly helpful staff, you can choose how hot you want some of the dishes. I enjoyed what I had and will be returning to try something else. Not the ideal restaurant to go to if you are on gluten free diet, check menu first.

l live in Paignton and ordered from Junjaow in Torquay because of the fab quality of the food and the great service.

From the moment you walk through the door, there's a warm welcome from all staff, even the chefs and cooks say hello. The decor is stunning, warm and stylish. Lots of tables. And last but not least, the food, it's absolutely incredible! Our favourite dining restaurant. Always fresh ingredients, wonderful flavours, cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced too. Try it, you won't regret it. Just a side note, we were there Thursday 21st March for my husband's birthday, and without me asking, they bought out a lovely little cake, singing 'happy birthday', which was a good end to the night. Tom Yum Soup was delicious, but the pad Thai and pad kra paow only had a tiny amount of chicken in it. Delivery took over an hour.

Amazing Thai food in the heart of Torquay. It’s not easy to find a restaurant like this in town. Prices are reasonable and the quality of the ingredients is just outstanding. It deserves a visit!

The best Pad Thai I've ever eaten, and I've tried it in many places. Very good service, delicious food. A perfect place to spend time with family or friends.

We usual order from another Thai in Torquay thought we’d try here for a change. Food was terrible, we put in our usual choices and they were tasteless and the beef was inedible. The food was also late. Definitely will not be ordering from here again !

Lovely friendly service and really tasty authentic Thai food with lots of variety! Add in Singha on tap and for two hours you are transported back to the motherland! Loved it ! 😻

Ordered 2 x beef masamans…. 2 chicken turned up (which my wife doesn’t eat) They have not replied or refunded…. Only came here as Torquay Thai was closed… I’d heard bad things about this place before and I can see why… knock out anything they want to their customers and then refuse to answer/refund

Probably one of the best Thai restaurants around. The food tasted authentic and was ever so rich in flavour. Staff were accommodating and the atmosphere was great.

Had my birthday here with 10 other people. Great food and hosting by staff. Unfortunately due to there being 11 of us we had to pre order. Personally I like to order on the day as my mood changes what I fancy

Chose this restaurant for my Birthday meal while staying in Torquay for a few days and what a wonderful choice it was Everything was amazing , the food was excellant and all the girls were wonderful , so friendly and efficient. The open plan kitchen was a joy to watch as they turned out one delicious meal after another Thank you for a perfect Birthday celebration my only regret is that we don't live closer so that I could work my way through the lovely menu

Absolutely awful and terrible experience. ZERO stars! I've never in my life felt threatened by any restaurant staff/owners in all the years I've dined out across the world. My crime was to ask a question about the food I had been served, seems simple right when dining in a restaurant where you may have allergies, etc. I was met with aggression and threats by a male and female. I am a woman who was dining with two children and a pensioner. The most disturbing experience in a restaurant that I've ever had. The male member of staff even attempted to assault a 12 year old child who was recording his behaviour. Eat here if you wish but don't ask any questions about what you're being served as those people are unhinged. Yes, I shouted at you all to call the police after staff had threatened to do so. I'd done nothing wrong so was not concerned about the police lol. Why would anyone try to orchastrate being treated so disgustingly. So nonsensical and unhinged. My son was terrified as his Mum was being harassed by a man. He did not have the camera even close to anyone when he was pushed, as you said, it is indeed captured on camera. I left swiftly as you were brazen enough to assult a child so what else are you capable of!? You are disgusting liars but all the best with your little business.

A large group (around 20) of us went here for a post-work meal midweek and had a lovely evening - we pre-ordered our food which made things very quick and efficient. The food was all made fresh to order, it was outstanding. The desserts were also spot on. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Ordered some noodles and a kids meal to reach the minimum order. Junjaow noodles were nice but a bit greasy. Chips were lovely and the prawns were great. First time ordering. It was nice :)

Ordered a number of items for collection and was so genuinely impressed with the speed and quality of the food. The massaman curry was delicious and flavorful, the spring rolls were hot, crunchy and fresh and we even got some free prawn crackers! 100% would recommend as a highly quality Thai in Torquay.

Wonderful delicious Thai food served with a smile 😊 Glad we booked in to here during our few days break. A nice simple menu with a great range of dishes. I very much enjoyed the pork balls followed by a jungle curry with coconut rice. Washed down with a refreshing Singha beer. What more could you ask for! Staff were really friendly and welcoming Be sure to book, it was a shame so many drop ins had to be turned away through lack of tables.
