We went here because my son really wanted some fried noodles. We were greeted with a smile and the service was quick. The food was delicious. Truly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful food. I had a takeaway as I was on my own. But I would recommend both eat in and takeaway. If you're unsure of what the dishes are, they are very happy to talk you through them. Just try it, you won't be disappointed 😁.

Review is for the Takeaway. Rosa is a great chef! It is very hard to decide what to have as their menu is so varied and it is all tasty. My favourite is tamarind duck though, absolutely delicious!

Visited fir takeaway just before 9pm. Food was great, loads of flavour.... definitely come again. Highly recommend great food outlet.

Me and my partner had a meal here this evening and loved it! The restaurant was empty aside from us, but we turned up about 8pm on Sunday night, so not surprising, and they seemed to have plenty of takeaway business going on. The portions were generous and really tasty, as well as being good value for money - £30 for two mains and two drinks. The staff were really friendly and the service was good.

We were visiting Torquay and decided to try the restaurant as we both love Thai food. We booked a table for that evening and were told as there was no drinks licence, we could bring our own, and a £2 corkage would be applied. The food was excellent and the owner Rosa was very friendly and helpful. We were not rushed, which allowed us to enjoy our mixed starter. The mains were plentiful and very tasty. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Torquay.

Lovely dine-in Thai meal with friends on a Saturday night. Food was very tasty, lots of fresh Thai flavours and lots of it too! Very reasonably priced. Restaurant is BYO alcohol which we prefer. Would recommend to locals and to visitors like ourselves

Bought some Thai for.home delivery it came and we were missing the stir fry we paid £11 for . And was not very hot. Very dispointed £39 not well spent. Would not go there again .

A group of us regularly go out for supper on a Friday and are always looking for somewhere new to try. We are not easy to please. Last week I walked down Reddenhill Road to post. A letter and passed this restaurant. I was struck by the clean, smart appearance. On returning home I booked a table for five for. last night. The food, service and prices were all extremely good. The decor is slightly clinical, and that is the only adverse comment that any of us had. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Visited recently on a Saturday night and found the restaurant was almost empty and lacking in atmosphere. I thought the restaurant was too light for nighttime dining. I could see there was constant activity on the takeaway side which is more established. The food and service however was great. Perfectly cooked and served. Tasted amazing. Such attention to details. Staff were lovely and friendly. Loved my meal and would definitely return to try something else.

We were at Iamthai for Christmas lunch, service, food and atmosphere could not be faulted. The people who work here are lovely, the food was great and we weren't the only ones to ask if it was too early to book for next Christmas! So much food that takeaway boxes had to be requested. There were, apparently, comments on FB that it was too expensive, well, £65 for two people to eat as we did, on Christmas Day, is not expensive. Well done Iamthai and thank you. Previously just a Thai takeaway they have expanded into a restaurant. Small and cosy offering very good spicy food. The added bonus is that they are a BYO! Rare as hen's teeth and a welcome addition to Babbacombe. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

A disappointing evening , a party of six All felt the same the food lacked flavour and seemed devoid of spice. The waiter service was Five Star, sorry not going back. In response to my Post, I do not recall any compliments to the chef, we had a happy evening and your waitress was fab. What’s not to understand that your food was without taste and very ordinary. End of. I think your comment that you are happy that we don’t return is quite disappointing and not great PR .

Fantastic food. Have had the takeaway several times and have always enjoyed how clean the food tastes. We booked and had a meal at the restaurant as we fancied a nice meal out and wasn't disappointed. Lovely staff. Super welcoming and friendly owners and again food was fantastic and well presented. Went to I am Thai as the options were many and varied for a Vegan. We had the vegetarian platter for two which was done in lovely light batter. My wife then had a cashew nut stir fry that she thoroughly enjoyed and I loved my vegetable green curry. All the staff/cook etc were very friendly, we will return.

Enjoyed a take away and a film round a friend's last night and thought we would treat our self's to a take away...... Never again from here! Being vegan and i didn't eat any rice how I've ended up with an upset stomach today to point I can't leave the bathroom is beyond me 🤷🏻‍♀️ just checked in with my friend who is in exactly the same predicament at her house. This place used to be amazing but seems to have gone right down hill since last time I ordered from them, greasy and not that great and not worth how ill we both feel today 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thought I'd treat myself, but should of cooked for myself. The food arrived on time, however the rice dish was soggy and wet, the whole thing was flavourless and pretty nasty to eat, so I didn't. Waste of money and won't use again.

As a person who eats alot of thai food and can cook it myself and know all the ingredients. This restaurant has been the worse ever. I actually thought it be OK as was busy when I went here for a takeaway meal. The curry was tasteless the starter I had chicken satay was burnt and didn't taste nice. I'm shocked how many people who have gave this place a 5 star review. I also have tried other thai restaurants in the area and thai to go is a must for all you thai food lovers. There are so many thai restaurants now that these bad ones spoil it for the good ones. Will never return to this restaurant and it's no loss when I can cook it far better than them.

I cannot recommend this takeaway highly enough. The food is delicious. We had duck with tamarind sauce, duck curry, fried noodles, coconut rice and I am Thai potatoes and I cannot fault any of it. Portion sizes are good and food is very tasty. Friendly and efficient service. We will definitely be back when next in the area.

Shocking food just received our food new years eve in a hotel the pad thai taste like chemicals the thai green prawn curry was super gelatinous and taste wrong. The starters were dripping in oil coconut rice had some sort of burnt soggie onion produced on top of it, just yuck. Called up to exchange and let them know its not right and they just denied it and said we were new customers so its not there problem utterly disgusting thai food and we have eaten lots in the past this is not authentic at all they are clearly trying to cut corners with cornflower and cheap ingredients. Plenty of other thai takeaways around use them first.

Maybe I should have said mild for the curry while ordering but omg to have a curry soooo hot as your standard is ridiculous no flavours popping just chilli 🌶 - not many prawns and filled out with a weird vedgetable making up much more of the sauce than the prawns ( don’t like that very stingy ) the rice was flavourless couldn’t tell the difference between chicken or rice - rice or chicken and again for an £8 rice 3 bits of chicken - won’t be going their again - only tried as my go to choice Thai to go is closed extremely disappointing …………you don’t have to try very hard to get much better than this

Overpriced microwave food! no way what I ordered last night was worth half of what I spent. Barely warm food and absolutely tasteless. Wouldn't feed it to my dog let alone myself.

I recently had a Takeaway from 'I am Thai'.I opted for a Thai Green Curry (Chicken),with Jasmine Rice and Stir Fried Vegetables. The food was very tasty,the portions generous and the vegetables fresh ,and cooked,just as I like them.The food was quickly prepared and piping hot. It was my first Takeaway from ' I Am Thai' and I will definitely return.

First takeaway with I Am Thai. Nice to support a local business just down the road. Overall, thought it was good quality. We had nothing to compare it with, so would be interested to see how it compares next time or with another shop.

We've eaten from I Am Thai quite a few times now when visiting Torquay and we adore their food. In our opinion its the best Thai food you're going to eat outside of Thailand. This week our order included the Hot Mixed Sea Food, No. 69 - it was amazing! So fragrant & flavoursome, we also had the Sweet and Sour Stir Fry, No. 46, which was superb, really tasty. My personal favourite from this weeks order was the Spicy Tom Yum, it tasted absolutely divine. Thank you once again I am Thai for such wonderful food we look forward to visiting you again on our next stay in Torquay :)

Speedy Delivery for a Saturday night - spot on time. Starters were fantastic, the Dim Sum very tasty, and the Crispy Beef perfect and actually crispy unlike some Chinese takeaways and well seasoned, Duck Pad Thai amazing - duck cooked perfectly and super tasty - Thai Red Curry also very good. This was very good food, someone really cared about the taste... will definitely order again.

Last night we had a great takeaway for 4. All dishes were good but 2 were outstanding, the Dim Sum and particularly, the Squid in Tamarind sauce which is extremely good. Try it!!! 🥇🏆😃

Having read some fairly damming reviews I still went ahead and booked a take away ! The service was excellent on the phone the delivery incredibly speedy, 25 minutes from order. The food was good, yes I have had better but in fairness for a takeaway it was good. I am very critical about food be it restaurant or takeaway so on this occasion my experience was ok. You can only say as you see it !

I ordered, I prayed after seeing other bad reviews after I ordered and I got what everyone is saying, disgusting food. Expensive rubbish, greasy squid, lol ok out of bag would have been nicer, the food lacked colour and taste. Taken this up with the takeaway and will do the same with Just eat.

Sadly disappointed. We were excited to try this for our anniversary but the Tom Yum tasted like boiled coriander water with raw mushrooms. The noodles were flavourless and lacked any taste. Gutted but won't order again.

Sadly, this was one of the worst Thai meals I have had for a long time. The delivery was on time and warm, but the food lacked any flavour and the massamun curry was loaded with far too much veg and was like water. Tried this one due to several of our other go to's having a 2 hour waiting time. I assume this is why my food arrive on time for this particular takeaway due to their not being a large demand for the food.
