Miga in Isle of Wight

Great takeaway outlet. Food is excellent and never had anything that we didn’t like. Been using them for years. Good telephone ordering and food is always ready at the time agreed for pickup. Very courteous counter staff.

Notice a lot of complaints about price with this Chinese. Foolish to not consider it is served on an island and not mainland England. Chinese is far more expensive here on the Island. The food from this outlet is second to none. Have lived here for more than 20 years and have been eating here for a majority of that time. Excellent service, divine food, not too bad on price front considering. I challenge anyone to try this take away and not be impressed, but remember they sometime shut early if not busy, and not "Cheap" food. If you want cheap food perhaps best visiting Maccy D's up the road for a 99p burger x

We chose to have a later dinner, checked all details and the place shuts at 10! So I went at 9.30 on the way back to our lodge to find it shut! Knocked window for them to come out and say we are shut I said it says here here on window you are open till 10! He just shrugged his shoulders and said we shut we all gone home which obviously they hadn’t as he was there talking to me! Had to make a dash to the tesco express saved myself about £40 and we all had steaks and much better food than we had here the other day! Doesn’t deserve custom if you can’t stay open for your advertised hours!! If you find yourself in the area there is a pub called the Cedars just up the road that does good food and a far better customer experience

We stopped off after a journey from Portsmouth to Fishborne on the way to a hotel in Ryde. The tofu curry and crispy Tofu were amazing as was the vegetable noodles and fish dishes were also spectacular! Made so quickly as we were starving and it was the end of the day. The staff were so friendy and guided us to the best places to see in Isle of Wight. We will happily stop off there in the future, huge welcome to the Island, I reccommend other people travelling into the Island from Fishborne do the same- so local

Always excellent friendly service and the best Chinese food around. We have tried others locally and they do not come close.

Restaurant is local to where we were staying whilst on holiday, after reading the reviews we thought we’d try Miga, however we are sad to say we were disappointed. We ordered just after the shop had opened ( 5pm ), and the food just tasted as if it was old. Prawn crackers tasted stale, beef was chewy. Just tasted like warmed up Chinese from the day before.

Literally everything I ordered tasted of gravy! I ended up throwing it all in the bin after trying a bit of each dish. This is by far the worst takeaway I've ever had. It didn't have any chinese taste at all. Absolutely disgusting. Seriously, don't waste your money there!

Collected a take away last night which was bang on time and piping hot, duck in plum sauce, special chow mien, egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken chow mien. All had plenty in the pots and all had great flavors, would strongly recommend.

We phoned our order through and was ready when we picked up 5minutes later. Good quality food that was tasty.

We had two takeaways whilst staying in the area and both were competent efforts. However, portion sizes were small and the food was definitely expensive. The meal we had tonight cost £25 for two of us and a similar meal from our local takeaway in Denton (the Seahorse) would have been more tasty and would have cost just £16.20 - and the cost at our local place would have included delivery and a card fee! Miga is also a somewhat inflexible. We wanted a special in black bean sauce but it wasn’t on the menu and we were told we couldn’t, yet a special satay was on the menu...!!! If you’re in the area and fancy a Chinese then go for it, the food is okay.

We had a takeaway from Miga whilst visiting the area on holiday and were pleasantly surprised with the quality and sizes of the portions of food. Excellent covid precautions in place too - we could pay by contactless without even having to enter the shop. Would definitely eat from Miga again.

I bought a takeaway for family. Had to wait ages. The food was poor, very dry chowmein and noodles. Expensive. Very tiny portions. Definitely would not recommend.

Had a take away last night and cannot rate the food enough, I had the salt and pepper king prawns with chili that is 5a on the starters list, don't be fooled it is really the size of a main meal and is full of king prawns, and I had the chicken chow mein along with a pot of sweet and sour sauce.. Both were excellent and served at the time I requested. All good and will be going back again.

Only here for the week and decided to try our nearest Chinese takeaway. Great decision! Excellent, friendly service and the food top notch and reasonably priced too. If you’re staying in the Wooton Bridge area then give them a try.

I have been a regular customer for several years for takeaway, never had any cause for complaint, best ever Chinese takeaway!

I am amazed at some of the very negative posts about Miga. It is our favourite Chinese takeaway and we have never had anything but great meals. We have a Chinese takeaway just one mile away but prefer to travel a longer distance to get our food from Miga.

Never had a disappointing take-away from Miga, shame they do not do home delivery though, if they did I would use more often . I use at least once a month, the food is consistently very good, I highly recommend it!

Vegetable satay: watery and FULL of bean sprouts and not much else.. Vegetable black bean: Again... Full of bean sprouts. Very disappointed and unfulfilled. On a positive, our friends enjoyed their curried chicken.

We are here on holiday and this Chinese take away was recommended to us.. to be honest, the food was really poor.. and I can’t recommend as I didn’t think the food was fresh. The food tasted bland with no hint of Chinese spices, just tasted like gravy.Nice friendly service and we were refunded for food we didn’t enjoy.I’m sure there are better places to go on the island.

This Chinese take away was just down the road where we were staying for the week. We actually ended up using it twice. A little apprehensive the first time due to some of the reviews. Don't be put off, this Chinese is really good. The food was really hot, sauces were really tasty. Like I said we used it twice. Highly recommended

This was a great meal, order 1845, picked up at 1915, was a large order where everything was correct, fab friendly staff, food was excellent, tasted great, previous reviews must surely have expectations beyond this price band because there's no better for the price, keep up the good work.......

Had a really nice take out a few times from here now. Good food at a good price, thoroughly enjoyed the meal each time. No delivery service which would have been an extra bonus, but worth calling and ordering first the collecting. Very quick service too.

My husband made the error of picking us up a Chinese from here tonight. To say it was dreadful is an understatement, I threw mine away and had jam on toast instead. Chips were oven cooked and so so bland. My beef was in what tasted much like bistro gravy with a few spring onions and some white onion chucked in. The worst takeaway I’ve ever encountered

A great takeaway, phoned up and was ready as soon as I arrived to collect, everything was correct and the portions were top nosh. I had a chicken curry and couldn’t fault, by far the best I’ve had on the island so far and I’ve tried a good few! Shall be returning

We had this one night when too tired to go out. Had spring rolls, sweet and sour and special fried rice, all very nice. Would recommend.

Good selection..Quick to prepare and popular as always busy at weekends .Sadly do not offer a home delivery service but we are local so happy to pop down and collect..My husband loves a Chinese takeaway x

Stopped here as it was local to where we were staying. Average food - nothing particularly special but nothing to complain about. Cooked promptly, service good, prices seemed average.

Después de un largo día de viaje no me apetece ir lejos para comer, así que probé la comida para llevar China local. Resultó ser una buena opción. Destacar nuestros comentarios sobre la comida insípida, evitábamos cualquier cosa que pueda caer en esa zona. Todos los platos que elegimos estaban bien. Pato crujiente con era de un buen tamaño y aunque no crujientes, cocidas, ya que puede ser a veces. Pollo estilo singapur tenía buen equilibrio y buen contenido de vegetales. Pollo con salsa de alubias y cajú era Dios amarillo y, por una vez el cajú eran frescas y no blandas. También teníamos la carne crujiente de chili, que en demasiadas ocasiones parece que no contienen carne. Este no es el caso en Miga, donde el plato de carne cortada en rodajas. usos claramente En resumen, uno de los platos de comida para llevar mejor comida china que he tenido en mucho tiempo.

My favourite place for a takeaway.The menu is varied with lots to choose from.The owner and staff are lovely. Premises appear clean.I must admit I am addicted to certain dishes.Really tasty stuff!

Firstly I ordered beef and mushroom and I got chicken..secondly I think the sauce was just gravy I couldn't taste any garlic or soy sauce it was like a thick gunk...not very pleasing on the tongue..my partner had a Singapore fried rice and complained it...

Food edible but not very good, chicken balls resembled and tasted like chicken nuggets but round. Egg fried rice was brown expensive for quality of food.

Servicio amable. Deliciosos bollos de primavera. Pero los tontos (21.50 Libras) eligió una comida para dos. Era repugnante. Nada sabía muy bien, nada parecía bueno y nada nos sentimos en la más mínima poco fresco. No creo que la gente china sería feliz de tener su nombre a esta comida. No parecía haber ningún pueblo chino en la tienda.

It was nice just a day to day take away nothing special and sometimes they mix up our order of forget to put things in (more times than none)

Best take away I've had in ages! Food was hot, and certainly generous portions. Great duck curry, recommended!

I was staying at the nearby PGL centre and slowly fading away from malnutrition as I hadn't eaten in a couple of days because of their disgusting food! I came here to get a big order for all the other staff and myself that were on the trip. I'm always a bit dubious about trying a new Chinese but this was just amazing! Good was freshly cooked very quickly and was of good quality. It was however a little expensive.
