To be honest the food was not that great quite bland best go to another takeaway until these guys can fix there issues

Ordered a large order between the wife and I she didn't like the special fried rice tasted stale and the large pancake roll spring roll was greasy beyond greasy and the filling looked the wrong colour beansprouts are usually clear like colour these were black I ordered a chicken curry and it was a congealed horrible mess couldn't eat it much like the picture a couple of reviews down, it's a shame as we always really liked going here and stopped for a while as finances were challenging but treated ourselves again unfortunately it was so bad we won't use again

Ordered a take away £42 it was disgusting and went in the bin chicken and breadcrumbs what a joke chow main tasted of oil rice disgusting prawn balls they was not prawn just mush in batter don’t order from here Going to dispute my payment Even the dog won’t eat it Would have given -10 if I could

Overall the majority of food was nice very flavoursome, unfortunately the salt and pepper squid was very rubbery almost as if it had been cooked a couple of days before then just reheated. The crispy shredded duck was not shredded just sliced up and not very crispy, too fatty. On the whole though was nice enough will order again just won't order certain dishes again .

Food is good! I love the eggfried rice and chicken-balls 💕 though the chips are a tad’ dry, still yummy though!

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had delivered and awful aggressive after service. When I called to complain (minutes after my food arrived)that my food was terrible, stodgy and gloopy the refused to refund claiming they didn’t know how to do a refund. The young girl I spoke with said I could come into the shop the next day for a cash refund. When I did, the woman started shouting at me and told me I was stupid and refused to refund my order. Disgraceful service.

Sorry but this is not a good Chinese. Don't waste your money.

The worst Chinese I've ever sampled. Ordered Chicken in Satay sauce, which didn't even taste of peanut. All Satay dishes I've had from other restaurants has a peanut colour is is relatively thick - whereas this VERY poor example was runny with a weak brown colour, more like black bean sauce. Their chef insisted that it was Satay and I wasn't going to hang about to argue the fact - just know that it did NOT have a peanut flavour. The other dish I had was also the poorest I've tasted. Do yourself a favour - travel the extra quater mile and try one of the 2 lovely Chinese takeaways that are in Lake High St.

Seriously £4.90 for boiled rice I can't believe I've just paid that . sweet and sour watery chicken just cost over £13 .... My advice stay away....robbery

Very friendly owners and staff. I enjoyed the sweet and sour and the spare ribs, but the egg fried rice was a bit bland. However l will still go back for more.

Ordered Lees Kitchen special starter for 2! Never seen anything so poor! 2 ribs, 2 spring rolls, which were poorly packed! 2 seseme Prawn on toast and the corner packed with seaweed! I am on my own and ate that! I don't even eat a lot! Tried the chicken chow mein, tasteless! Not ordering again!

Bland and over priced compared to my usual Chinese in lake. Left a bad taste in mouth 😕

Really bad! I’m pretty sure the chicken was frozen as it was like chewing a pencil eraser 🤮 really odd bitter aftertaste and to top it all off it was so so much more expensive than any other Chinese I’ve ever had!

Love Lees Kitchen, always great food, great service and absolutely adore the salt and chilli chips.

Everything over cooked with no flavour

When ordering our takeaway, i explained twice that our meal must be free from all seafood. Meal delivered with prawns included. Called to explain the meal delivered to us could have cause death. Requested a refund having been put through to the manager who hung up on me.

Food lacked flavour, just heaps of salt. Chips were undercooked (hard in the middle!) Onions smelt a bit off and tasted vile-couldn't finish my meal! Not sure what's happened to this place. Was our go to Chinese for a while but the last few times have been abysmal.

I’ve been around and had many Chinese meals around Europe and the US. This one ranks in the top 5 I’ve ever tasted. Get the Gong Bao King Prawns and Hot&Sour soup. 10/10. Very clean facility, and nice people

Terrible service poor customer service two hour wait for food missing prawn toast about 4 bits of chicken in the chilli chicken mainly vegetables and onions ,In everything customer service of the lady is basically that's two bad eventually she agreed to send us prawn toast which was cold and no actual prawns, worst Chinese in the area save your money

Had an egg fried rice, plain chow main, chips, sweet sour sauce. V bland. Rice stodgy. However, the young lady who served us was so friendly and gave me a fork and spare container so we could eat in our hotel room. Cycling around the IoW so the food still hit the spot.

Bland food, we left most of it. Got order wrong asked for curry sauce but git sweet and sour. Wouldn't go again.

Fancied a nice tasty easy meal and this was it. Fast service (for collection) reasonable prices and nice tasty food. Had chicken with ginger and spring onions, boiled rice and duck rolls. Will use again.

Always visit when on the island and always great food.

Have enjoyed take aways from here previously but after ordering online today I have changed my mind. I phoned twice to enquire about my delivery as no time had been given. Initially I was told online orders take 1 hour 30 mins but when I rang again - now after 1 hour 40 mins I was told it would be another 20-30 minutes. About 10 minutes later they phoned to say they had run out of one of our choices. We finally got our meal well over2 hours after ordering. I was annoyed that we didn't know the wait would be so long and that there was no contact or apology except to tell me that they had run out of ribs. I understand that on a saturday night they would be busy but when you have a take away as a special treat its disappointing to have so little communication or warning that your meal will take so long to arrive. The food arrived hot and was nice enough - the spring rolls were very greasy but tasted nice. But by then we were so hungry that we weren't very discerning. Sadly I will think twice about ordering online again especially as they charge for delivery unlike many of their competitors.

Well when you order something and you’re pacifically not asked for something not to be put in there because of your dietary requirements are they put it in good luck to anyone if you’ve got problems or peanut allergies or something seed ologies nut allergies whatever they don’t listen

Unfortunately had a really bad experience here,was the last night before lockdown, decided to have a meal and support the local business,as regularly order from here, we ordered items and walked to collect food, when we got back, we got all food out on the plates, I am vegetarian, and checked through order with them on the phone 2ce, was highly disappointed to find my egg fried rice had prawns and chicken in, which was touching all the other food, I rang up and they told me I have to collect rice, baring in mind food had been served up,(my food should have been mixed vegetables with egg fried rice,) they said would deliver, then 40 minutes later still not arrived, I then got told I would have to pay delivery costs, even though was their mistake, the staff were rude and very unhelpfull..no rice or replacement food was offered or delivered, I was told I could get cost of just rice back, if I bought the other food back the next day... During lockdown? ¿... Nice one! This is not how you treat customers, or run a business, they ruined our evening, as I couldn't eat the food, we won't be eating here ever again. 👎

Had our first takeaway here. The rice was chalky and the beef curry had a texture of liver. The curry sauce was standard. Was like a basic fish and chip shop curry sauce. The rice was supposed to be mushroom and it was sweetcorn and peas. Disappointing.

Ordered delivery. Had chicken balls not greasy were lovely we all enjoyed our meals arrived hot and within 45 minutes of ordering would order from there again.

Used this takeaway as the one we had chosen was busy and were going to stop takeaway orders early due to restaurant being busy. We were able to order online and have delivered to our campsite although they did call 5 minutes after our requested delivery time (45 after ordering) and advise it would be another 35-40 minutes before delivery and we had to pay extra £1.50 del as internet only charged £1.50 and should have been £3 to Whitecliff bay holiday park. Driver called when he pulled in and we walked up to entrance and met him. Food was still hot although a sauce I ordered was supplied incorrectly and some of the dishes weren’t as good as our usual Chinese we have at home. Crispy chilli beef wasn’t crispy and the portions weren’t very big for the price. Smallest chicken chow mein I’ve ever gotten and it wasn’t the best either. For £70 I would have expected a bit more.

Ordered: 75 crispy chicken strips with salt and chilli 176 spicy salt and chilli chips Received: 75 heavily salted and lightly covered with powered chilli, crispy chicken strips 175 chips with with a garnish of chopped something green (maybe spring onion?) and a sprinkle of cooked onion, with some dried chilli flakes. Verdict, well besides needing a large bucket of water to consume with the salted chicken, some fresh chilli was not to be seen in either dish, I can therefore only assume that despite having many dishes with "chilli", this takeaway does not have fresh chillies in the kitchen? The salted chicken was literally just that, no onion or veg garnish and basically too salty to eat. Neither the chilli chips or the crispy chicken had 'flavour' and are a poor dish when compared to the same dish from other takeaways (I am NOT comparing to the other Chinese located just around the corner as I have not eaten there). Overall .... I had a disappointing and over salted dinner. Having ordered other dishes in the past from this takeaway and also being disappointed, I have taken the decision not to return here again.

We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Monday evening (17th Aug), having just arrived on the island that day and came across Lee's kitchen. It wasn't too pricey, we ordered 4 x duck spring rolls (delicious and a must), mini veggie spring rolls (think you got 6-8), prawn chow mein, prawn crackers and a small tub of sweet ' n ' sour sauce = £16.50We walked in and ordered inside, face mask needed. The staff were very friendly and kind. The service was quick and the food was lovely. I'd recommend if you are in the area. Thanks x

Family take out night while on holiday. Easy to order and arrived quickly but the food was not great. Loads of msg and thick stodgy batter. Duck pancakes and noodle dishes were ok but the sauces were too gloopy and chicken satay dry and too spicy.

Delivery very good . But food was not good. Was disappointed as we have not had Chinese for months . Hopefully it was a one off bad .

Lovely food and surprisingly good value, we were a tourist and the hotel dinner was slightly expensive so we were desperate for something to eat. Staff are nice enough. I recommend this place.

I stopped here on my way back from a day out as I was looking for a quick takeaway and saw this place on my way back to where I was staying. I ordered set meal for one of chicken chow mien and sweet and sour chicken balls and rice which I normally enjoy. I went home hoping for a nice treat but on opening and beginning to eat, I discovered that the food was tasteless and not nice at all. The sweet and sour sauce was more like a sticky jelly ! Rice was stuck together and chow mien was tasteless. I only ate a third of it and only then because I was hungry and no other food in the caravan as last night of my holiday. I was very disappointed and a complete waste of £10. Wish I had just got fish and chips or a ready meal from the shop. Will not be returning here again .

Just went two try and order a delivery! The lady on the other end did not understand one word of English! Not here fault probably. The owner should know to put someone on who speaks good English. Had to hang up! Anf get a Mr Ts instead lol

I have used Lee's Kitchen for about 10 years. Never ever sent anything back and quick delivery.

After a couple of days away we decided for quickness a Chinese would be nice. King prawn sweet and sour balls were very greasy and the egg fried rice was very dry. My brother had the king prawn curry a d egg fried rice and he left most of it as well. The service was good, How high is the counter !! And you can see it being cooked fresh but something is missing here. Probably would go back to give it a second go if in the area again but there are other takeaways around.

me and my wife ordered a standard curry and chips with some ‘crispy’ duck rolls, there was a long wait but due to weather understandable, but the lady on the phone didn’t really seem to know what was happening, and when the food arrived chips were basically just oil curry was tasteless and chewy duck rolls will definitely be going somewhere else next time.

Popped in after a recommendation from a friend for a quick dinner. Food was reasonably priced, £10 for a meal for 1. Food was quick to be served and I took home to eat. My noodles were fairly tasteless, and my egg fried rice was bland. Thinking the chicken balls were delicious and moist, after eating a couple I noticed all the chicken balls were pink and raw inside. I then checked my chicken in my chow mein and this was also pink.Very lucky that it didn’t make me ill but I would avoid this takeaway.

The person that took our order over the telephone was polite and efficient. The food was ready for collection within 15 minutes. Egg fried rice was tasteless, chicken chow mein had 2 pieces of chicken in, which i left most of. Was greasy and tasted like it had been re heated. The sweet and sour sauce was loaded with vinegar and not sweet at all. Chicken balls also were chewy. Over all a waste of money and very disappointing as it was a holiday treat. Very sub standard.

Decided upon a takeaway as on holiday felt a treat. Ordered takeaway as we would at home however the kids felt this was far better with great flavours. I admit this was excellent. Super cooked great flavour. Rice waz just right. Chicken chow mein was different but tasted great. Chicken balls great. Spring rolls great. Small sauce which was excellent. For a takeout this was top class.

We ordered here yesterday about 6.15pm. King prawn chow mein, chicken and cashew nuts, boiled rice, chips and sweet and sour pork Cantonese style. They have an open kitchen and you can see them cook your food. The wait was not long at all. Young girl on desk very pleasant and when we got our order we said thank you and goodbye to those who cooked our food, they were very friendly and said thank you and goodbye to us too. The food was so tasty and had lovely flavour and no grease. Which was great. I give this takeaway 10/10 and hope to return here when we come back for another holiday.

Best Chinese takeaway I've ever eaten in my life.

Recently tried Lee's kitchen for the first time. I've tried most of the other Chinese places in the area and this my new favourite. It was so good we had it twice in a week.

Always been happy with the service and delicious food. Will definitely use again and will recommend to anyone. Tried few local Chinese but Lee’s Kitchen is definitely the best one.

In sandown looking for something tasty and nutritious. Found veg dishes very tasty and well. .nutritious! At the time I felt very pleased with my purchase and would use again.

We have been to Lee's many times and have never been disappointed, and we choose quite a variety of food. Will obviously be returning again!!

The WORST Chinese we have ever tasted. The entire order went in the bin after one mouthful. Undercooked cold pink chicken, cold, tasteless noodles, cold sweet and sour sauce & stale, hard to bite into prawn crackers. Over all - very, very poor. Will never be ordering again and what a waste of money.

My little girl decided she wanted Chinese for her birthday dinner today, our order cost £37.00, I returned the meal for refund as most of the chicken in ALL dishes was not fully cooked, the chowmein was so salty I couldn't eat it, Il be sticking to the 'royal China's fare in future, they are very good, Lee's Chinese kitchen is NOT.

We had a meal from Lee's kitchen this evening. The Singapore noodles were so hot you could taste nothing else. The sweet and sour chicken balls were not cooked, the oil was too hot so dark on the outside and raw in the middle. The rice was clumped together and over cooked. Very disappointed as we are currently on holiday and it was a treat for the family. Avoid at all costs you'd be better off with fish and chips down the road.

Ordered a delivery of food for 4 from this establishment. It arrived within 20 minutes which was impressive considering we were 2.4 miles away and all food is cooked fresh to order? Sadly this was not to be a good meal. The veg spring rolls were bland. The egg fried rice was clumpy and sticky instead of fluffy. The chicken chow mein was dry and didn't have the smoky flavour usually associated with it. The sweet and sour sauce was mainly sour and left a nasty after-taste, and the worst of all was the chicken balls - dark and crispy on the outside, barely cooked chicken on the inside, and completely inedible. This was the worst Chinese meal we have ever had and most of it ended up in the bin. I suspect the chicken balls were cooked in fat that was too hot, to be overcooked on the outside and partly raw in the middle; uncooked chicken - a definite no! I'm not sure if this eatery has recently changed hands but we did not get the tasty food others have had on previous occasions, and we were really disappointed. We do not recommend ordering from here as a result; in fact I would say avoid at all costs (no-one should serve raw chicken!).

The survice was outstanding. But the food was , well i didnt eat it but my fam did and tthey said it was pretty Meh . They where very late but the survice was peng.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! POOR QUALITY OF FOOD & WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER RECEIVED! The food was awful, the chow mien was over cooked and mushy, the butterfly king prawns were just mashed up fish paste that had been bread crumbed and then fried, the spring rolls were soggy, but the worst thing was when I bit into a chicken ball and IT WAS BLACK INSIDE!! After seeing that it made me throw up what food I had eaten and felt very ill. I decided to phone Lee’s kitchen to express my disappointment in the meal they’d sent me. They offered to give me a free dish the next time I ordered but I explained that I’m from London just visiting family. So I was told, by the owner, that if I came down to them that they would refund me my money. So despit not being from the area I walked down, 15 minutes in the rain, after being sick, to get my refund. Only to be told when I got there that I couldn’t have my money back and the 2 owners were rude and stood there shouting at me! My advice to anyone thinking of ordering from here... save your money, the disappointment and the food poisoning! Go somewhere else!!

Just off the High Street Lee's Kitchen Chinese takeaway offers tasty food and generous portions . The really nice thing is you can see the chef cooking the food while you wait . Very clean place and helpful staff

The best Chinese in the Isle of Wight...maybe even the best in the whole of the UK! Mr. Lee is a wonderful cook, and his staff are friendly and helpful!

can't fault this little takeaway. we made an order for 20 or so people in our group for a delivery to our caravan. the cost was about £175 and you would expect something to go wrong ie cold order or something missing. well this little place came through with the complete order nothing missing and nothing cold. the food is cooked in an open kitchen by knowledgeable looking cooks and it was the best Chinese food I have had in s very long time. wish it was closer to where I live. will be using it again next year for another massive order. Thank you for the excellent service.

Lovely staff and good reviews but sadly the duck was really dry and no pancake wraps for them but chicken fried rice was brilliant just gutted about the duck 😞
