I went alone, suffering a bad head cold. Took a book and ordered a beef pho. It was really very salty. Low grade beef which looked and tasted suspiciously like the pre cooked roast meat one might buy pre pacaked in cheap end supermarkets. Manager/Server was intrusive, hovered around as i tried to slurp my food down, making me feel really uncomfortable and simply would not leave me alone to read my book, kept trying to discuss local news with me. No, I would not go again.

I ordered the tofu clay pot curry every week because it was the best curry i've ever had - have introduced it to so many people too and the last two times i've ordered it it has been terrible. bitter, sour, feels like a chicken stock soup now? no flavor now PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!! I BEG YOU!!!!

We got a takeaway from here for the first time recently for my birthday. The squid dish was delicious and the spring rolls were great but the crispy tofu was soggy, there were too many fried onions in everything and the noodles were a bit oily. I would definitely give it another try though as the food was very tasty and the portions generous.

Looking for a new restaurant to go to in North London or love noodle soup? This is THE new favourite place and I would suggest you put this on your "go-to restaurants" too! Although, it's in a very noisy area - once you're inside, it is absolutely bliss, nice and peaceful. Prices are decent, the customer service is excellent and the food was phenomenal. I ordered the Pho Ga (Vietnamese noodle soup), Vietnamese pancakes and Vietnamese spring rolls alongside iced tea and I was in love. The food was not too oily and cooked perfectly with the right amount of seasoning and portions. Waiter was very friendly and he usually likes to have a chat with you. Overall, I would highly recommend and will come back in a heartbeat! Thank you Mien Tay!

The best Authentic Vietnamese restaurant you never disappointed, they are keeping the food on the very good standard, the pork chop rice , and grill pork with vermicelli noodles is the best 👍👍MUST TRY ! Highly recommend this local restaurant.

Pho ave Bun Hue are favourite dishes in the whole world. We have been all over london looking for the perfect noodle soup and we found it here at Mein Tay. We love it so much we can’t keep from returning sometimes up to thrice a week. Lee, the proprietor is exceptionally accommodating and provides an excellent service along with his friendly staff. Pho and Bun Hue broths are the best in town We also recommend the salt and pepper squid for starters. Delicious!

Went into store to pick up food for takeaway following my partners high praise of the place as he’s ordered food from here before. Although the decor is very basic, it immediately reminded us of when we were back in Asia and had a very homely feel. The food also did not disappoint. We ordered the chicken curry and stir fried duck in cashew nuts along with the spring rolls and stir fry noodles and every single dish blowed our minds. The portions are very reasonable for the price and the quality of the food is also great. Will 100% be returning and making this our go-to takeout from now on.

First time for me my dad and daughters to attend here I have seen it before on just eat but never knew it was so local and we usually only eat Vietnamese in Hackney as it’s the best :) but it’s so far so I have been trying to look for a decent local one I mean nothing beats hackney but for it being local it was actually alright :) lovely lady and man and after our food we got served free oranges which was a lovely end to meal my little daughter was well happy bless her. Won’t be my all the time but will visit again if I’m local :) if price was abit better for maybe lunch time menu I’ll definitely be there more often.

The food is always very good and sometimes excellent. Great Pho, spring rolls, summer rolls. Lovely. A bit ramshackle but don’t let that put you off.

Took my dad here for the 1st time today as we usually go to our usual Vietnamese in hackney but today I could not be asked to drive an hour away for food so I had found this restaurant ages ago on takeaway site but never had chance to order so finally did today and took my dad in to try it out. He said it’s not better than our usual which I do agree....But I don’t think it’s far of it as it’s hard to find a good Vietnamese restaurant around here and that one is definitely nice and local. My dad and I had Grilled pork with vermicelli and my daughter had the spring roll dish they were both lovely. Then we got presented with cut oranges which I thought were such a lovely gesture and daughter was so happy so thank you :) would definitely visit again at some point. Food is abit deer for local approx £7.80 per dish but I guess prices go up on everything these days. And to be fair it did fill me up :) Lovely lady and man who served us straight away gave us prawn crackers upon arrival :) they were both so lovely so thanks to them both.

The food was fresh and delicious. There was a huge choice of dishes, and everything we tried was very tasty. The fresh rolls, the chargrilled quail and the morning glory were especially nice. Very friendly as well.

We eat vietnemese regularly but this is our favourite, The food is delicious and would always choose to visit here. Squid is 100% better than any of the kings land road or hackney restaurants.

One of my two favourite Indian restaurants, the other being Yatri in King's Cross. The food at Bengal Bertie's is simply amazing AND for London reasonably priced! Love this restaurant!
