I visited yesterday with family for bottomless brunch. We had an amazing meal and the service was faultless. Augis, our server, was excellent. He made sure our glasses were refilled really quickly and made sure we were looked after at all times. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend bottomless brunch there. It was such good value and the steak was perfectly cooked.

Mothers day lunch - the restaurant was busy but you wouldn't have known because the service was flawless, food arrived on time and was delicious too! Not the cheapest, but quality of food and ambience reflects this. Staff were top notch - from the efficient, friendly manager to hardworking, helpful servers. We will definitely be back!

Ordered a mixed grill and asked for it to be cooked ‘pink’. When the meal arrived, ir was well done. The waitress informed me that the chef had mixed up the orders!

I ordered the premier mixed grill at around £36 it came with a lamb cutlet, I’m not allergic to lamb but I can’t bear to have it on my plate it’s just me, so I told the server that I didn’t want it and at my expense I didn’t require anything in its place. When the meal came I didn’t notice that the cutlet was on my plate under the gammon when I said about it I was told the kitchen were sorry but couldn’t help I said what if I had been allergic but was told you arnt are you I said my meal is ruined but nothing was done no offer of anything not even a drink terrible

Excellent really enjoyed my time here. The food was spot on and the customer service from the waitresses we even had a laugh with them. The only down side is they put a service charge on which I didn’t know about but guess that’s how it is now. Thank you and I will return.

Wife’s steak was cooked medium but was very tough mine was cooked medium and very tender fries were under cooked and onion rings were over cooked (salad was ok never had pesto on a salad before nice touch )

Really liked the place had a good ambiance to share food with people. It was very busy and it did seem that the very friendly staff were working flat out to accommodate the customers which did affect the waiting times then felt a little bit rushed for them. We would return another time.

Very disappointed as our starter was cold they did replace them but had to wait 45 minutes for them in the first place mains was hot but steak was not the best Very disappointed as never had a bad meal here before

On first impressions, the entrance is very small. This then opens out into what looks like three separate dining rooms. I found the decor quite disappointing as I’ve always passed the restaurant thinking how beautiful it is on the outside. It wasn’t reflected on the interior, too modern and lacked character. I can’t fault the service, very attentive and realised any mistakes before raising them. Food was great if a little pricy, especially for the portion sizes. Was nothing extra for a valentines meal.

After waiting for over an hour for our starters then waiting another hour and 10 minutes we decided to leave. It ruined our Valentine’s night.

It was a very busy night so I understand that we might have to wait a little longer for out food but waited oven an hour so our food and it just was a little cold like it had been sat while being dished up for too long, the food it self was lovely and tasted nice, house loaded fries are amazing just all was warm and not hot, The service was very good even for a busy night, waitress was very police and always around if we needed to order more drinks. I like like to come back I just don’t think the restaurant could cope with the busy night

Booked a table as heard how nice it was.we arrived and I am gluten free I saw on the menu there was no starters stated asked the manager who said chicken wings could be done in a different bbq sauce. So I ordered that. We waited over 35 minutes for this other customers came in ordered and had their food delivered We asked and suddenly our food arrived as it was put down the manager said your mains are being plated now. We thought that’s a bit much but thought we’d go with it. However this then sparked my concerns about if I infact had the gluten free version. But I trusted them. Our forks were put down and our mains were served The Alergen menu stated fries had a may contain gluten in them so I ordered new potatoes. However chips arrived but with the rush etc I didn’t think about it and started eating as I was eating the whole situation dawned on me and I asked for the manager He told me that the chips were gluten free if cooked in a oven not a fryer and tried to tell me how a may contain was just how it was cooked and suddenly produced to me potatoes I tried to educate him on the fact how food was cooked was a cross contamination a may contain means it may have gluten in it. He consistently told me his version to a point we walked out without paying for anything Had my partners 50thbooked there in a few weeks time but in front of staff I promptly cancelled this. Please avoid this restaurant if you suffer with allergies it’s a health hazard that could potentially make someone very very sick. The staff literally have no clue!! Added to this the steak which was not cheap was badly cooked very fatty unable to cut or chew and not worth the price it is sold at at all! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT

Slow service, unsure if it was due to it being Valentine’s Day. Steak was nice but was undercooked as to what we ordered

Everything was good apart from the wait time We were seated by 7:30pm drinks order taken quickly and drinks received by 7:40 all good so far. We closed our menus before drinks were received to show we were ready to order but that was ignored so waited longer Then came back around 10 mins later to take our order. We only wanted Mains! Unfortunately waited for 1hr 15 mins for mains to arrive. Which i thought was a very long time to have to wait. Table near us arrived a few mins after us and ordered starters and mains, and they received both courses before we did. So my only complaint was our wait time Other than that. Everything was good

Monday night at 7:00pm; only one other table in our part of the restaurant were occupied. Service was excellent but the food was dreadful. I ordered mixed grill; the meat was cool; the pepper sauce was cold and in a cold container ('straight from the fridge' cold.) The sausage was not even served until I asked for it; apparently it had been 'left in the oven'! The person who served was apologetic and provided a discount without having to be asked for it. However, the evening was ruined because the food was dreadful. On a very quiet early evening, with only two table occupied, there can be no excuse for serving cold food. Small plates are very small for price but that’s the only slight negative. Menu is expensive but you pay for unbelievable quality. Beef wellington main was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten, phenomenal. Dessert superb also. Restaurant very quiet as a Monday night but lovely setting. Didn’t get the waitress ladies name but she was very polite and attentive. Would 100% recommend.

Nice lovely atmosphere, good value of food and very good service. We visiting this Restaurant not the first time, but honestly is one of the best Restaurant.

Excellent food-one of the best steaks that I've ever had. Great size potions too. Only downside, it was really noisy in the restaurant with other parties-would have preferred to been a slightly quieter area

The food was ok but not exceptional. The venue was loud so not great for a romantic meal. Could have done with a few more chips. What I found pretty unacceptable was the 10% service charge added automatically. The food wasn’t really worth the menu price but the 10% was an insult.

Best steaks ever!! Was top notch food everything cooked to perfection. Also sorted out gluten Free chips for my mum. Augis was great looked after us really well, and kept trying to tempt us with more.

Staying local to Middleton at Pentney Lakes celebrating my 70th birthday and found the Middleton Steak House a brand I’m familiar with and regularly visit their restaurant in Peterborough. My wife is gluten and lactose intolerant so it’s important to have the confidence that the chef and manager know what these intolerances mean to the customer. My wife had the spicy salmon and I had the mixed grill both meals were excellent, the staff polite and knowledgeable.

We have been many times and always enjoyed our time here, staff and food is always good as it was this time, only one niggle, I wasn't overly happy with the tip being added to the bill without asking if we were planning on leaving a tip, I never return to a restaurant that does this as I believe this is a management ploy because they know most people would be to embarrassed to ask it to be removed, I wasn't and did.

We had a lovely family meal on our way back from Lincolnshire to Norwich.. it was a perfect stopping point and food was thoroughly enjoyed by all (2 adults and 2 children).

The ambiance was lovely as soon as we walked in' The waiter was respectful and professional, discreet and unobtrusive. The starters were absolutely delicious with a perfect balance of texture and flavours. The rib eye steaks we had were cooked to perfection - we had chosen rare.

Enjoyed a really nice birthday meal with my husband. Food was delicious. The waitress was lovely, helpful and very polite. Great customer service. Look forward to our next visit.

Went for an anniversary meal with my wife, we was made to feel very welcome through out. My starter came out wrong but I wasn’t aware being a foody just saw ribs and went to tuck in forgetting I’d ordered wings but the waiter came out apologised and gave me the wings aswell said the ribs were on the house. Brought out a plate with happy anniversary written on it aswell which was a nice touch. Would recommend it to anyone else, have only ever eaten on quiet days though but enjoyed both times so far

Having never been before we decided to have a meal at middletons as a rare night out . The restaurant is spacious antho cozy and the 2 front of house staff were welcoming. Oir drinks and starters,arrived promptly and the belly pork was locely and i enjoyed the ribs ...needed more Mains of a classic and a seafood mxwd grill wereexcellently cooked its a shame yhat i didnt have room for a dessert Altho cost wise perfect for a special night ...not one where i could justify week on week However we will return

We went for my husbands birthday on the 2.1.24, staff were outstanding, our 6 year old mentioned to the waitress it was his birthday, we had ordered a dessert and they came out with an extra plate with happy birthday, and as such a lovely touch. Very lovely. Food was exceptional as always.

Great food, friendly and efficient service. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but it is definitely worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Unbelievable food and cannot fault the service we all really enjoyed ourselves

Great food, great service, at an acceptable price. We had scallops as a starter, "steak-frites" as a main course (cooked to different levels), and a glass of house merlot each. The scallops were absolutely delicious, the chips, worthy of Belgian chips (done to perfection). The steak was good quality meat, the only downside was that mine was rare instead of the requested bleu, but I'm used to that. Service was friendly and efficient. It's not cheap, but it certainly does not cost more than it's worth.

Food is amazing the food is very good value for money and amazing quality the waiter August was very helpful and happy I ordered the spice and sticky which was no longer on the menu and august was able to accomodate this, the children's menu is amazing value for money a great dining experience would highly recommend.

Lovely service , very friendly , quiet for a Saturday lunch time . Starters were a little pricey for what they were but they weren't bad in the slightest. Sirloin steak and chips were lovely , cooked just as I'd asked . Salad however had a mint dressing I think which I wasn't keen on but that's personal preference. Banoffee pie was lovely and a good size , appeared to be homemade . Overall a lovely lunch out and would recommend .

We decided this year to go out for Christmas dinner as my Mother in law now in her 80s finds it hard to cater for the whole family, despite us offering! Anyway we advanced booked as we knew it would be busy and we gave our choices for the 3 course meal, which was to cost £75 per head and we all had to pay a £20, non returnable deposit ahead of the big day. The food was absolutely delicious, it really was and the staff were friendly and polite as you would expect. They did become a little forgetful at times, forgetting cutlery and water, but I won’t condemn them for that at all. What I wasn’t overly happy about was the fact they put a service charge of £15 per couple onto the food bill, so that was an extra £75. On top of that, we wanted to keep the drinks bill separate, but the final bill had a £10 service charge added. We are far from a wealthy family, but wanted to do this together and saved up for it, but it was a big shock having an extra £85 to find. There was nothing I could see regarding service charges on the menus and there was zero mention in any emails/calls with our niece. I understand it was Christmas Day, but at £75 per head, thought that would be inclusive of any service charges. Kind of spoilt our day!

Christmas Day lunch Our family were staying in Norfolk over Christmas and we decided to book Middletons Kings Lynn for Christmas Day lunch. We all had a really enjoyable experience. The food was superb and the service was exceptional, all of the staff were very polite and friendly. Based on our experience we would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant. Thank you Augis, Tracey and indeed all of the team for a truly memorable day.

Food was excellent as usual the service was a bit slow but we expected that it always is the price is above average the bill for just 2 of us nothing special ordered was over £100 we would also prefer not to have a service charge added to the bill we would like to tip on our own accord but over all a pleasant experience

Staff helpful. Wait for food was ok. Main courses were cold. Vegetables undercooked and only just warm. Sweet (sticky toffee pudding) was served cold and had to be returned and replaced with a just warm one. No mention of a 10% service charge until the bill arrived! Not happy with the food would not recommend or return!

A very pleasant experience. Drinks were prompt, food very tasty although pork belly starter and classic mixed grill could have been a bit hotter. The member of staff was very attentive and although working on his own was keeping check on all the guests. Our first time here but will definitely go back.

Fantastic food and excellent service. The person who waited on our table explained that they were experiencing shortage of power to local outage in town and that there may be a delay in ordering food and drinks. Despite this, we did not have to wait long. The person waiting on our table should be commended on providing an excellent service during out visit, thank you.

Very nice experience. Greeted by manager, he was very polite and provided us with excellent service. We had a lovely meal. All of us ordered stakes, every dish was so delicious and the best quality meat, complement to the chef. I Would like to add as well they making very nice cocktails, just try recommended to everyone. We definitely will come back again very soon.

We had the Christmas party menu which was nice. I did expect the table to be made in a Christmas party way with crackers or at least a bit of Christmas decor. Our starters were nice and brought out really promptly. For the main course most of us had Turkey and one steak. The main issue people had with the Turkey main was the roast potatos. They seemed to have been reheated as there was no crunch and were a little dry. The Turkey itself was delicious, as were the other accompaniments. The person who ordered steak didn’t get asked how he liked his steak cooked and this was a little over cooked for him. Everyone really enjoyed their desserts however the brownies was more of a cake like texture. Drinks were promptly refreshed and the staff were lovely. Nice ambience too.

Expensive and did not appreciate the service charge being automatically added on the end taking away my choice of whether to tip or not

The restaurant is always clean, but actually too dark. My wife's steak was very nice and it was her birthday. However my meal wasn't great. The fries were not nice at all, hard as if cooked twice and black/dark bits in them. Also the piri piri prawns came fully shelled with no bowl of lemon water to clean my fingers or a side plate to put shells on. Third time we've gone on her special day, not sure if we'll go next year.

The service was great as always but I must admit a couple of things have changed. The piri piri chicken is a new recipe and I didn't like it as much as the previous one. Also I still miss the wedges which were the same for years until about 2 years ago. They used to be large and lovely and crisp and golden, they're now just not as good.

Very lovely meal yesterday for my Dad’s birthday. Service and food was great as always. They also brought us a plate with ‘Happy Birthday’ written on it in chocolate sauce with some chocolate buttons and fruit to dip in it which made our meal even more special. Will definitely come back again to celebrate another birthday.

Really awful potatoes were burnt Yorkshire was burnt beef was really tough roasted root vegetables were good how any chef would let a meal like that out of the kitchen I don’t understand. We did eat as much as we could we were hungry but the potatoes especially they must have been cooked the night before and reheated or I suspect they are frozen. The staff were very nice so I didn’t complain we just won’t go back again

Called in Saturday lunchtime food was fantastic service excellent would really recommend eating here our waiter augis was super friendly! Ps told him footy score would be 1-1 😉

The service is top notch. I recommend a raise for the lady who always attended us in both occasion, I didn’t get her name but she’s lovely and she always wears green uniform. She is very attentive and even remember us from our previous visits which is I find amazing. We love the scallops esp my kids.

Fantastic. Granddaughters 16th birthday. Baked Camembert for starters…yum. Then fillet steak which was incredible, followed by a cheeseboard. One of the best dinners I’ve had.

Meal was generally good but on ordering the sundae for dessert very disappointed as very different to last time we came. This time was a dish of ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate sauce and a couple of very small pieces of brownie in the top. Last time there was brownie and choc sauce in the bottom of the dish, large pieces of brownie, then ice cream and more brownie and sauce on the top. May as well just have the dish of ice cream and save 50p! Disappointing

Excellent service and food what more could you ask for

My first time here but won't be my last. Very cosy setting. Food was divine (we had a burger and a steak). Steak was, as you would expect, fantastic. Bit pricey but was a one off/special occasion. Gratuity had already been added to the bill but the service was good, so we were happy to pay it but worth noting/checking your bill. Christmas party menu looks good. Only downside, even with my glasses on, I found the extensive menu difficult to read.

Lovely meal midweek, service excellent, definitely recommend

We went for a midweek evening meal. My boyfriend had the mixed grill, and said ‘all the meat was amazing. The lamb was one of the best I’ve ever tasted, the fat soft enough to spread on the meat with a crunchy crackling edge.’ I had a steak and it was probably the best steak I’ve ever had with dauphinois potatoes and a glass of red. Service was speedy and delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed, highly recommend and was great value for money.

We had a great lunchtime deal as a group of friends, two of my friends are wheelchair users and middletons accommodated them brilliantly and everything was made accessible. Whilst this was some months ago it’s a memory that stays because the service was so good!
