Still by far the best burger van for miles! Generous portions, good value, and plenty of choice. Still open at 1.30am!

I absolutely love Mick's, for years after moving away from Portsmouth I've been going on and on about Mick's and how they have the best burgers and cheesy chips with a wide range of different items and drinks to pick from. I'm glad I've managed to finally visit Portsmouth after 5 years with my partner to try one. Definitely didn't disappoint

The best burgers and food for miles around at a reasonable price and with a view that's out of this world, looking out across Fareham, Gosport, Portsmouth, Hayling Island and on a clear day, can even see parts of Southampton and the Isle of Wight. Great place for families to picnic, fly kites, but be very wary of boy/girl racers who just want to show off and drive like idiots. But you cannot fault Micks burgers which range from quarter pounder to a 1lb burger. I'm still recommending them since they started out in a mobile towable trailer in the early 1990s

My lad called me to meet up at Mick's Monster Burgers, It was mid afternoon & unbelievably I wasn't that hungry so I settled for a Large cheeseburger with onions, Neil had a Jawbreaker with cheese & my lad Chris went crazy & had a Jawbreaker Special with Onions. My burger was delicious & filling enough, but the other two were massive with Chris's easily the biggest burger I have ever seen, incredibly he managed to finish it. I would say to anybody who has a free afternoon to go to Mick's Monster burgers near Portsmouth, the view is epic, isle of wight/ hayling island etc whilst tucking in to the most awesome burgers. We'll be going again soon🙂👍

More popular for the view and the mod cars, but the food is okay. Take a jacket it's normally pretty cold.

Food serving is huge, taste not so impressive, service is alright. Terrible long queue on specific times.

Bought cheesy chips, got back to the car and hardly any cheese on the chips I went back and asked lady took the bag and said I've put more cheese on it for you opened bag again and no difference. May start bringing my own cheese with me to top it up next time .

Based at the top of Portadown view point, was recommended by friends to visit after my moving to Portsmouth for work. Burgers are hugeeeee!! I got a large cheese burger, wasn't even the monster burger and I was still stuffed. Great prices just over £7 for a large burger and a coke. Burgers themselves not sure where they're sourced, Its the different type I don't think it's a hand made mince beef pate more frozen or tinned, but still a great burger all the same for the price!

Good food, great area for car and motorbikes. A little expensive but not bad. I eat here about 4 times a year. Good as a meeting place for my biker mates and easy to get too. Jules

I got cheese chips and the cheese was basically nonexistent so I when up to ask if they could put more in and they said that I would have to pay for more cheese so overall I got chips even though I paid for cheese chips it was a waste of money and was not worth it!

Big portions for a fair price, very busy, queue to get food, it’s at a viewpoint so dinner with a view was nice, burgers are pretty good in terms of variety but it was pretty standard :)

What has happened to the chips?! Used to be the best ever, but when we visited recently, they were just bog standard cheap frozen ones. Such a disappointment. Hopefully it was just a supply issue and we were unlucky.

There isn't a better place like this one in Portsmouth! A small portion cost £5 and while eating it, you have the view of the only city island in England. Sunset or Sunrise are the best, but any time of the day is also good because they serve food 24 hours a day. The service is also very, very good 👍

I cam here with few friends on a weekend bike ride. The views from this place is very good. I enjoyed my lunch sitting here on the bench and looking at portsmouth city. On a clear day, you can see miles out. There is enough place to park your car and motorbike. It can get busy on a sunny day. Food is amazing and very good. I had bacon cheese burger and it was very good. Reasonably priced and well worth the price. I will definitely go there again.

Burger rolls were really fresh. The burger i had was nicely cooked. I had the quarter pound burger and it did look small in the huge roll. Rated 3 for atmosphere as it was a burger van in a car park, so not much of an atmosphere.

Micks burgers still the best had them from back in the day when everyone went out clubbing.

If you are at the viewpoint on top of Portadown Hill this is a great place for a 🍔. Highly recommended.

Huge selection of beef burgers. Not much if you don't eat beef. No vegetarian food apart from mushrooms and egg. Otherwise fantastic service and lovely views. Not cheap but street food isn't cheap anymore. Always a good place to go and good portion sizes too.

This place is a local legend but we were both underwhelmed by the service, the wait and the food. They took down the order wrong and gave us the wrong food as well. This happened to several others in the queue. Coffee was pretty tasteless. 30mins wait for cheap tasting very greasy burgers. Nice chips and great fresh buns. Yes the portions are big and it's reasonably priced, great views. I wouldn't return for a burger, maybe a bacon buttie.

Decided to stop on Portsdown Hill this morning. Had a lovely hot coffee with a portion of delicious chips which were shared among the family in the car. I'm not surprised it's such a popular spot!

Lovely day, apart from showers, had a large bacon roll which had 4 thick rashers of bacon in it, and very nice it was to, cost £4.90, but i thought that it was good value for money.

The view is ridiculous day or night. The food, service and value is great. You won't find a better place.

The only disappointing thing here is that I just can't eat that much in one sitting. I have to keep coming back but it is so worth it. The view alone is worth the wait in the queue and there is always a queue. A sensible cover over the serving hatch makes so much difference and there is always a spare seat in the car. The chips are excellent, ask the waiting Seagulls on the roof.

I was advised to try this place. Well I got a bacon egg burger it was served to me dry as anything the burger was pink they put one stingy bit of bacon. Then re done food and was dripping in grease exactly the same the rolls are to big if it's a large atleast fill it and cook it. I'm sorry I'm really disappointed for my first time

Its a non veg place, the cheese is also animal fat based, so for Halal options u can only have the coffee and chips. But the staff is courteous and the service is well on time.

NHS workers should be prohibited from using this popular community hub due to their being in contact with cold, flu and other viruses every day and giving it to large quantities of people as a result. Thanks for making me ill, my nose has been dripping all over the floor non-stop for days and my throat feels like someone has jammed a medieval mace down it, my temperature is overwhelmingly high and the fatigue has been setting in the day after the throat problems started. Avoid if you value your health, NoHelpService are to blame for this spread.

Went to Mick's burgers on new year's eve and my disabled partner had been hit by a rocket firework which was thrown at her by a man not holding a licence to fire fireworks in a public place. No offer of compensation was offered to my partner regarding her lost burnt jacket or jumper and injuries. This happened on the site next to the burger hut. I have tried contacting them but they refuse to pick up there phone. They need to take responsibility for this incident that took place on the 31/12/2024. It is not a safe place to be when the Public are letting off fireworks. I look forward to there reply.

An amazing always nice cooked burger (always decent sized) the staff are polite and friendly and helpful but sometimes I feel the waiting for food at the end is a little unorganised and crowded and hard to hear them shout the number (must be a solution) order screen possibly.. That said wouldn't and doesn't put me off going... when I can afford it. Highly recommend micks been there since before I can even remember!

Waited over 45 minutes for chips and a burger. There was a crowd of people also waiting. It was lunch time, this is a popular place, customers can't have been unexpected. How on earth could it take so long. Been here many times before and it a fraction of the time. This has put us off ever going back. Crazy waiting times.

Beats all the burger chains hands down. Been buying burgers here since 1981 and can honestly say that they are delicious, good value and have a wide variety of options. Reguarly call in for food after driving from near Chichester and sometimes meet up with family who drive from Southampton. Sit in your car to eat or find a spot on the grass. Enjoy the views over Portsmouth and the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

Don't know if I should own up to this but considering I'm Portsmouth born and bred, this is the first time I have had a "Monster Burger. I'm 60+ . Very impressed . Nice and hot, freshly cooked and staff very friendly and efficient. I had a chilli cheese monster and it was fantastic. Will Def try not to wait so long for the next on. Recommended.
