Mi Rice Noodle Bar in Southampton

We needed to eat something before going to the Mayflower to see a show but did not want to go somewhere far or which would cost an arm and a leg. We found My Rice on the web, read the reviews on Trip Advisor and thought ‘let’s go for it’. We have not been disappointed! Food was really good, served quickly, pipping hot. Good portion sizes. And located less than 5 min from the theatre. Will visit again for sure!

Necesitábamos una comida rápida y saludable antes de nuestro show en el Mayflower. Este restaurante parecía tener lo que queríamos y prometió comida recién cocinada para pedir. El restaurante era fácil de encontrar y solo un par de pasos del teatro. Tiene un ambiente agradable y estaba ocupado con las órdenes de comer y llevar. Pedimos el arroz de piedra y fue todo lo que esperábamos y más. Absolutamente deliciosa comida y mucho mejor que la cadena que vende comida similar. Sin duda volveremos a probar los fideos.

Disfrutamos de excelentes cuencos de fideos. El servicio fue rápido y excelente y está a solo un minuto a pie de la estación.

He estado yendo a MI Rice por un par de años. Nunca tuve una mala experiencia. La comida es fantástica, recién hecha, ingredientes frescos, y si cierras los ojos creerías que estás en Asia en algún lugar de un restaurante local. He probado varios platos, pero sigue volviendo por los fideos picantes a base de sopa de cerdo, donde tienes una selección de fideos para elegir. Ve por la porción grande y si eres valiente, puedes subir la especia por dos niveles. No pasó el nivel uno. Gran relación calidad-precio y me lleva unos 40 minutos comer y se mantiene caliente todo el tiempo. Personal amable y eficiente.

Buena comida pero porciones pequeñas. Los fideos son baratos, no valen £ 10. ¡He pedido una porción más grande pero se negaron! Si realmente tengo hambre me voy a otro lugar. Lo cual es una pena porque su comida es muy buena. Quiero.

Tenga cuidado con los pedidos vía Deliveroo. Es difícil quejarse de que una orden es incorrecta cuando no estás allí. Uno de los artículos pedidos fue Fideos salteados con pollo a la parrilla, lo que se entregó fue Fideos salteados con cerdo. ¡Un "no, no" total para un musulmán! Obviamente no pueden entregar de manera confiable lo que el cliente ordena. Un segundo problema, no su culpa y por lo tanto no reflejado en mi calificación, fue que Deliveroo había aplastado el recipiente de caldo de sopa para el pedido de Fideos de Sopa derramando el contenido en el envase. Mi Rice y Deliveroo ciertamente no son un partido hecho en el cielo.

This is arguably one of the best restaurants in Southampton, bar none. Sure, the overall décor is more café than restaurant, but you’re here ultimately for the food, and this place excels at that. The potions are massive, for any blokes thinking of opting for large by default, be prepared they bowls are big! The food is amazing, its all made fresh just a few meters away, the staff are friendly, prices are very reasonable, with a main between £8 to £12 for a large bowl and it is superb. The Bubble tea is nice but possibly the only overpriced aspect. If visiting with more than one its worth booking a ticket as this place is often full within the hour, but they do have a walk-in takeaway. – Still if noodles are you thing this is the best Southampton has to offer for sure.

Tasty food and excellent, friendly service. Ordered chicken udon soup and tofu stir fried pho noodles. Portions are generous and the staff went above and beyond!

I really recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious, everything done just right. Massive bowls of fresh, scrumptious noodles, rice & soup. Will definitely be back.

Service staff are really friendly and accommodating in this little restaurant bar. Food was really good and well worth the money, as shown by not being able to finish it all! Just be warned the hot bowl is deff' hot so watch yourself!

Wow very impressive, lovely food. Service was ok, a bit confusing, was not busy, but can happen. We will be back
