Delicious food and great portions, so plenty for leftovers. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent take away. Thai Chicken Red Curry, Duck Red Curry, Prawn Pad Thai, Steamed Rice. I collected it myself. Very friendly lady took my order, which was ready within about 15 minutes. Piping hot when I got it home and really tasty with plenty of prawns, duck and chicken. Recommended.

I just cant stop thinking about the spring rolls … superb ! The soup had too much lemongrass though it tasted like soap not soup :( but it was lovely and fresh !

Really disappointed by our prawn pad thai which only contained a single prawn! On this basis we’ll not be using this restaurant again.

Very disappointed with Nuttiya Thai which has been changed over from Thai Thai on deliveroo. I was a regular customer at the previous named Thai Thai but when I ordered yesterday it was very disappointing, I don't know if the ownership has changed hands. One lamb shank massaman replaced with beef, no refund offered just a sorry note stuck on the box. The restaurant didn't contact for an alternative option and my friend didn't eat beef. (We had ordered two of the lamb). My husband ordered the spicy sea bass which is usually filled with fish and a variety of vegetables but this was less than half of the usual portion. It's a shame the flavours are good which is the reason for my 2 star. I believe chef is the same, however, their lack of customer service was appalling and huge reduction in portion size compared to our past orders left us all unhappy and hungry. If I had not called I would be charged for the more expensive order or refunding the difference. I had to call the restaurant and was meant with an abrupt "put it in the bin and get a refund from deliveroo". There was no offer of would you like us to get an alternative out. Sadly I will not be going back as the prices have also increased for a very poor service and cut backs.

We actually had a takeaway from here which was really not good. The beef jungle was half full of thai basil and overpowered the dish massively. It wasn’t a curry,was looking more like a soup,very watery…very disappointing and never go back to order from there!

👍: Grilled pork chop, garlic chicken wings, beef rice noodles, coconut rice, beef salad, spicy pork mince. Thai milk tea is also delicious, but the taste is bland without adding less condensed milk. A friend recommended fish cake. 👎: Steam prawn is very sour and salty. Mushroom soup is very acidic and very low value for money. The roast duck is quite delicious but very sweet at the end.

Order twice from deliveroo, the first is very good; second time is not good, phad Thai noodles only have 4 pieces of prawns and very plain seems forget putting salt, also there is a unknown hair in beef mince dishes

An authentic fanily-run spot that goes the extra mile to make things from scratch, and has Thai dishes you can't get elsewhere. The red curry sea bass is a wonder!

Had takeaway delivered. The prawn toast was the worst, soggy and greasy and horrible taste. The massaman curry tasted okay but definitely not the best. Noodles with bean sprouts was very greasy. Egg fried rice with veg not too bad.

Lots of dishes. The taste seem like you are eating in Thailand. It is very authentic Thai food such as herb smell, seasoning and spicy. You also eat vegan food. I will come back again.

Hugely disappointed. Thai green curry was greasy- covered by 1cm oil, chicken too salty indicating not fresh. Spring rolls bland. Have cooked a better pad thai at home, serves us right for ordering from here. So many misleading reviews. 3 stars as it was edible.

Excellent takeaway. Generous portions with tender beef, authentic chicken satay (the best I've had in england) with clearly homemade sauces and dips. You can tell that love is put into every dish. HIGHLY recommend. This was on par with Jim Thompsons restaurant, thank you for taking me back to my childhood.

The lady owner and her husband manages this small resto dine in/take away place. We ordered quite few in their menu thinking that it is going to be a similar experience with other Thai places. Well we were surprised when they called us out for our orders as how big the serving was. An order is good for 3-4 people, 2 if you are HUNGRY. It is also affordable and good priced! We got 2 coconut rice, prawn pad thai, sizzling beef, pork red curry, 5 coconut juice and a bottle of water for £40! And the owners (Thai couple) are lovely. Don’t be fooled by their small place! This place is a go to for Thai food!

I'm not usually a massive fan of Thai food but we ordered take out from here because my partner loves Thai. Everything was excellent, especially the pad Thai. Will definitely be ordering again.

Best take away above all others, ever

In Arundel for the day and saw this restaurant, popped in for lunch and had a great meal. Service was great, food was fantastic and the premises was warm, clean and very well decorated. Shame I'm not in Arundel more often.

This is hands down the worst takeaway I’ve ever had. Not only did it take over an hour to be delivered after the driver left the restaurant, so it turned up freezing cold but: The prawn crackers were half stale and half soggy. The Thai fish cake could only be described as a piece of cardboard. The curry had more oil than a deep fat fryer The chicken skewers were pink and undercooked The prawn toast was flavourless The other items I could not even identify and was just a complete mess The food bags were soggy and greasy. Will NEVER order again

Really disappointing. Tried this place out as we live just round the corner, we went for a spicy pork and chicken cashew both with rice. The pork was the saltiest thing I have ever eaten, unpalatable and sickly. The chicken was coated in jelly and the meat extremely hard. I wanted to support a local small business but this was honestly one of the worst meals I've had in years. Sadly one to avoid.

Brilliant food. As an international student, it’s difficult to find good Asian food in Southampton. However, Thai Thai Express is one of the few places that offers excellent Thai Food. I highly recommend this restaurant, the owner is also a really pleasant lady which just makes the eating experience even better (pre-COVID). This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in Southampton.

I'm a curry lover and had plenty of them in different places around the city, but this one is just incredibly delicious. First time tried this place (drove half city to get there) and it was definitely worth it! Will definitely try it again. Red thai curry full of flavours, hard to even describe how good it was! 😁 !

Not very good experience for take away. Ordered a special Thai beef noodle, the picture looks very nice on the website, also confirmed on the phone that noodle comes with home made meat balls as shown in the picture. But turned out no meat balls, and there is no flavour in the noodles at all...

Tried this place as a one off and oh my goodness! I have found my go to. Beef holy basil - delicious, not too oily and tender beef. Green curry with chicken - spicy, amazing flavour and moorish. Fried sea bass - amazing flavour, crispy on the outside and fantastically cooked. I cannot recommend this place enough. Will be going back for more if the green curry!

Me and my partner love Thai food, and had never been here before. We had a busy day and fancied a take away, this restaurant was the only place on Deliveroo that delivered to our house so we thought we would give it a go, as most of the Chinese takeaways around Southampton are awful. We were blown away by the food, beautifully cooked, the meat was delicious (unlike some places 🤢) and portion sizes were great! Also such good value for money we were extremely happy and don’t think we will go any where else now! Thankyou Thai Thai express for a yummy bank holiday take away!

Beware, £2.50 of thai rice gives about 1/3 of a small tub. disappointing. Even after a phone call they didn't think any problem with this.

An authentic Thai restaurant run by Thai couples. Though the place is small but the food is excellent. Can’t imagine I was in Southampton. It’s just the same taste, the same food with the same sauce you have in Bangkok. This is the best Thai food I have here and the best price as well. A lot better than other fancy decorated Thai restaurants that your money goes to the fancy furniture & decoration while the food is rubbish. Thai Thai Express you should deserve more customers. Keep going!

I visited this restaurant with my wife and daugther about a week ago. We were visiting Southampton from London and wanted some Thai food. Frankly, I'm a little jealous of Southampton residents for having this place so close by. Thai food that is this authentic, fresh and reasonably priced cannot be found anywhere in the Capital City. (At least not that I know of.) The restaurant itself appears very modest at first glance, and a family can be seen working in the kitchen from the dining room. Slowly you begin to realise that in the kitchen are masterful practitioners who have perfected their craft over a very long period of time. You can taste 10,000 hours in every bite. My wife is Thai and she was extremely impressed as well. She's the best Thai food cook in the world, of course, but the ThaiThai eXpress chefs come in second.

Was introduced to this place by a very good friend, I’ve thanked them several times since. This place has the most delicious Thai food which is both authentic and filling. The prices are very reasonable and the taste is what I will come back for time and time again. My family and I are very pleased to have this gem so local.

If there were six stars it would be more fitting. The Panang curry and coconut rice which is what I always get delivered by deliveroo or collect, is the best I have ever tasted in this country for sure. Infact it’s the best quality takeaway by far of all the cuisines. The family who run this place are lovely and the food is to die for. Nothing compares to it. Thank you and please stay in the UK cause my weekend evenings in have taken on a new meaning with this kind of food 😍

This is the most authentic Thai food in Southampton. The test of food is as good as Thai food you can get in Thailand. There are a vast variety of Thai food you can find in this restaurant with an acceptable price. The owner is very nice. I normally go to this restaurant when I miss Thailand.

As a family, we have visited on several occasions. This is a fabulous example of authentic Thai cooking at its best! Sauces made from scratch - you can see the spices being ground as you wait - seafood cooked to perfection, meat tender and packed with flavours. It’s a veritable feast for any Thai-loving taste buds. Go! Take a table there; you’ll feel like your back in Bangkok...it’s casual, so casual but great. More than great, it’s brilliant!!

As other reviews have mentioned (which is why i tried it) the menu has a good range. Portions are decent and the taste is great. Our family of 4 loved every dish and enjoyed left overs the next day too. Well worth a visit.

Had a great Panang Prawn Curry the other night, and the sticky rice was just right.

This is the third time we've been here and it was a five star experience. They have a wide range of dishes, many of which are more obscure ones that you won't find in Thai restaurants elsewhere in the city. The dishes have generous portions and are very reasonably priced too. Most importantly they're delicious so if you're a lover of Thai food then you should definitely check this place out.

I got take away, the Chicken Massaman was amazing, the beef salad was good (maybe a little too rubbery) but quite potent!!! The restaurant is very small and I probably wouldn't have a meal there!!!

I live close by and had been wanting to try here for a while. Really gutted it wasn't fantastic like the other reviews. I ordered the dim sum, chicken and cashew nuts and from the special menu the deep fried pork belly. I was apprehensive that it wouldn't be enough but it was £22 so didn't want another dish to push it to £30, especially as my wife wasn't going to eat much. Only 4 dim sum which were tasty enough but didn't touch the sides and the pork belly was advertised to come with rice but it didn't. I had to put on a microwavable rice pouch from home to make it a satisfying meal. The lady front of house was nice and I loved seeing the chef work. I've no doubt this is a quality place but I think I perhaps ordered the wrong dishes and will have to splash the cash and order more next time.

We are foodies and Thai is our favourite. We always get the green curry. Be warned...this green curry is the spiciest one we have ever tasted. It will blow your head off. We took it home and added coconut cream...still overly spicy but it is definitely the best you will find in terms of meat veges proper Thai herbs and flavour so it's worth buying it. If they added less chillies, it would be almost perfect for us...and mind you..we like hot food and are very used to spicy food. They are definitely traditional and are very nice. The lady always talks to us. The massaman is not bad either. Overall...we are very happy and we go back all the time now.

Seriously, without a doubt, the best Thai food I've ever eaten. All the reviews are spot on. Eat here, you will not be disappointed. Going back tomorrow for more. I had Pad Thai and Massaman Curry with the mixed appetisers. Fresh, clean and absolutely FU**ING banging. If you're a foodie, you'll be in heaven.

Title says it all. Without a doubt the tastiest Thai food I've ever had, and I'm a fat sod so I've eaten lots. It was fresh, the kitchen was clean and each dish was absolute pleasure. We had Pad Thai (chicken), Massaman curry (chicken) and the mixed appetiser. Could easily type an essay for you all but just go there and eat (not much seating at all but we had a take away) or get a takeaway. We tried it because the 8 google reviews were good, there should be many many more but the 8 that were there made us try it and I just................just.................go there and eat, and write a review. Almost forgot, the Prawn toast is beautiful, crispy, succulent, sweet and packed full of flavour.

Love the food from here.....Pad Thai and Lab Moo are particular favourites, but the food is so good we always try and order something new. Food always arrives in good time and piping hot. There was one occasion when we were delivered the wrong dish, but because of the many positive experiences we’ve had from this place, we didn’t mind x

What a great discovery. One of the best finds in Southampton. The food was such good quality with fantastic flavour, friendly service and at a very reasonable price. There is a take-away service but we chose to eat in. There are four tables and we weren’t rushed at all. We went midweek (it is only closed Mondays) at around 6.30 and got a table ok though it was busy.

Had soup noodle with beef, spicy seabass and pad thai with prawns. It was a perfect dinner, very authentic ! Definitely the best Thai restaurant in Southampton. They used a lot of herbs from Thailand and portion is generous. Price is also very reasonable. However, it's a small restaurant with limited seats. The shop could get busy, so go earlier. I will definitely come back again to try different dishes. It costs us £21 for 3 dishes.

Great Thai takeaway. They also have a small number of tables to eat in. We put in a big order for ten people to collect that was completed quickly and to a good standard. Very tasty food.

This place has been here for about nine months but we had no idea until recently. They offer a diverse range of popular Thai dishes and many other less familiar dishes that only lovers of Thai food or those that have been to Thailand will have heard of before. We ordered kor moo yang, tom yam gung, dim sum, kai tod and yam wun sen. Everything was absolutely delicious and very authentic. If you have a Thai partner then they'll love this place because they offer dishes you won't get in the other Thai restaurants in Southampton. The food was so good that eating here made me feel like I was back in Thailand. This isn't an upmarket place by any means and there are only a few tables so you may have to settle for a takeaway if they're busy but I think this place is more focused on takeaways anyway. You certainly shouldn't be deceived by appearances and this place is just like Thailand in that respect - some of the simplest places serve the tastiest food. This restaurant is quality and if you live in Southampton and like Thai food this place is an absolute must visit.
