On our way back from a trip around southern Wiltshire we called in here to look around at home furnishings, clothing, kitchen equipment and garden supplies et al. We wandered around for a good hour before visiting the first floor in-store café, where we enjoyed a passably-good Americano coffee with hot milk. Sadly the coffee lacked strength and richness, and there was no bitter taste (the latter is often a good indication of quality coffee beans). The coffee served was satisfactorily hot and in good sized cups but my Partner and I have had better elsewhere for £2.85 a cup.

If you want to feel like you’re being looked after by Basil Fawlty then this is the place for you. The staff are disorganised and have no system. We gave up waiting for the overpriced sausage roll after 45 minutes and left.

Stopped in at Leekes for breakfast food was super and quick efficient service at the table. I thought is was good value. And since my last post they have up dated seating area with new really nice chairs and an area with sofas and chairs for a coffee. Brilliant.

Such a shame as we have visited before and had a good experience. This time however was extremely poor, seated as they are table service. Then totally ignored by 3 members of serving staff, no one came to take our order despite us sat for 20 mintues waiting. Other visitors had ordered and their orders delivered to their table and we were still sat waiting. Didn't get to try the food as we never got to order after 20+ minutes we got up and left Food is on the expensive side for basic cafe food, service is not even rateable!

Christmas Eve Eve and another trip to Leekes in Melksham for cakes and drinks, great service as always from the staff. They have had a make over in the Cafe since we were last here, it’s now much warmer and inviting. My children really enjoyed the festive gingerbread man and After Eight chocolate cake.

Cannot praise highly enough. Felt incredibly safe with strict covid prevention measures still in place. Menu choice is excellent with good range of gluten free. Staff very friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work!

My ( Vegan) friend and I ate lunch here yesterday. service super, my friend was offered no less than four vegan choices which is unheard of for her, she usually has to settle for chips and salad or a naked baked potato. I had to go for the " Tart of the Day" - how entrancing, that name. Scarfed this down with the best chips imaginable and a large salad. Home made tart. Outstanding. Lovely coffee and Fentimans juice. Three things to improve. The menus are paper, rather scruffy and don't list the vegan options. You need a page of these. The terrace outside looked very promising - but not an umbrella to be had out there and it was too hot without shade.. You are missing a trick as a homeware venue not popping downstairs and dressing this area up with shade, umbrellas, little privet hedges to break up the look of it - it could be a real destination out there with the quality of your food rather than looking like unloved debenhams circa 1970. you dropped a star from me for lack of beauty. However - food and service lovely, immaculately clean and so cheap, chips are 5 * if you have nothing else on your plate. Will return and am sorry I am not local, would be in here all the time.

Stopped in at the cafe on Sunday morning with the family. We were just in time for breakfast. There were six of us and we all wanted different drinks and food. The waitress who I believe was named Karen was really extremely helpful. We have someone with a lactose and egg intolerance and they readily swapped egg on the breakfast for another item. Also after placing the order she checked with the kitchen on her own initiative and came back to let us know the mushrooms were also cooked in butter and if it would be a problem. She really was a credit to the cafe. The food was delicious. Everyone polished off their food and commented how good it was. My daughter said the eggs benedict was one of the best she’d had. I had the freshly made porridge - lovely and creamy and lots of it, I couldn’t finish it (and they let me have it with jam which wasn’t one of their usual toppings)! Prices were very good and the place was spotless. Karen was brilliant and despite all the little changes people asked for, when the food came it was all spot on. Would definitely eat here again if I was in the area.

Had a lovely full English breakfast on Wednesday. Really good value and the sausages are really good. I will be back again. The cakes also looked amazing but it was a bit early for a sweet.

We came after a recent flood and after ordering 3 club sandwiches which come with chips and a cheese toastie with an added portion of chips we were told the chip fryer was broken so chips were not available. Nevertheless, we were charged FULL price for the 3 club sandwiches with NO chips and more disgustingly we were charged an extra £4.90 for chips we did not receive. See the receipt. There are other tea rooms in Bradford on Avon that are worth visiting and you wont get ripped off.

The food was fantastic. Fresh vegetables cooked to perfection, meat succulent. The chef has the perfect blend of herbs to enhance the food but not overpower the flavour. Great range of beer and cider. The pub was on the side of the canal so plenty to see as well. I would definitely recommend a visit.

I want to praise the venue for its hospitality for Christmas dinner. I was made very welcome; the food was excellent; and the service was prompt and friendly. Very highly recommended.

Just poped in again for their fish and chip takeaway tried to charge more than they should. ( no apology ) of which I pulled them up for it was a genuine mistake of which I accepted. I raised an issue on a previous take away of which chips were very small must have been the last in the hopper there was no apology! the owner was always fine before ( she was not there at the time ) it was no doubt the staff did not take a shine I was disappointed and will return to the other one in the Town now.
